It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Question about the Walking KEM…I was lucky enough to get it from the Yearbook, but I’m unclear on exactly how to use it to my advantage for premium jobs. I know I shouldn’t complete the quests for it (making Apu bolt down products), but if I use my Unemployment office send everybody for a 4 hr job, will it choose the job for Walking KEM, and if Apu gets sent, could that complete the task? Or should I send Apu off on another task first, and then use the Unemployment office for everybody else to maximize my money? Thanks for the help!
Can you remind me why is better not to finish that questline? It’s been ages since I got the Walking KEM (which was at the time it was originally released)! I just have finished that questline a long time ago, but I don’t know whether it was on purpose or by accident…
I believe it’s because one you complete the questline, the jobs there no longer pay a premium.

Weird… my “Sponsored Springfield Church” has disappeared. (I know some jobs disappear for certain characters for certain events…) Has anyone else’s Sponsored Church mysteriously gone away?
Just contacted EA and anyone using an Android tablet and cant connect its apparently because the Android Tablet server is currently down

Just saw the TSTO Facebook post updating us with the new splash screen. Looking like an interesting new event. Appears to be a Circus Theme. Looking forward to it.

Stuck with EA because of my email that wont work, so a break from tapped out until I can log in.
Just make sure that they note your # of donuts beforehand if
they have to clone your account. I didn’t and shortly after they
cloned mine I noticed that I was missing 2K+ worth. 2 months
And 45+ emails later I was told that missing donuts could
only be fixed thru EA chat.🙄. So I contacted them that way
and was informed that too much time had passed & there wasn’t
anything they could do about it. Had the North not opened
up I probably would have quit the game. As it stands now
I haven’t been able to log in for about 16 hrs and afraid
to delete/reinstall for fear I’ll end up going thru the whole
thing again.

Ok had no problem with doing 2 X 4 stints today (just in case there was an update today) and about an hour ago when I tried to log in I got the old spinning donut. Still unable to log in

So I had a big download thing happen, and I originally thought it was snow removal, but it turns out it was the “don’t have enough space to play the game” situation. My question is how much space do I need on my iphone for the game to work as normal? I have just under 30gb unused so I wasn’t expecting to have to deal with this ever.

I’m happy about the new stories and content, but I feel like there are spots they just forgot about… the Road to Riches for example…
I really wish the game provided a way for players to communicate with our neighbors. I hope sspirate and Carierow are reading this. I love when you come visit my town, and I try to return the favor, but there is never anything for me to click on. Please check and make sure if you have the Simpson’s sofa, that there is no one on it. That game glitch makes it impossible for your neighbors to leave you handshakes.Thanks so much for visiting! Little question: I can’t move forward on the monorail, I only have the first building but after I built it nothing happened. I even collected the max amount of items collectable but nothing happens. Can you help please?
Click on the rail yard to craft the monorail pieces using your collected recycling items.

Do you mean (a) have the trains move or (b) get more tracks?
(a) connect a line of tracks (any type) to the station. monorail will slide along the attached series of pieces
(b) more tracks pieces are generated by sending certain PCs to the town dump and recycling depots*
* You need to completed the very short task with Lyle first.
You need to have monorail tracks in order for the train car to move, otherwise it just sits there and does nothing. Lisa’s recycling plant generates tracks.
You also need to have 4 other recycling buildings that produce tracks. here is a link that explains it

Picture or video might help. Place station, add tracks, make sure aligned. Should work.
I only have the city dump and nothing else. I don’t even have the shortcut for creating tracks on the daily challenges button.
If you have already finished all tasks check your inventory for stored items.
I did and there is nothing concerning the monorail in the inventory actually 🙁

yeah I read everything, I am level 109 so I am supposed to get all the other things not only the city dump

6 weeks….that would be sweet. More like 3 months around here…lol.
The Northeast is still gripped in winter for a few more months, and although I suspect that the next update will bring back the bright green grass, I’d actually like to see the snow stick around for a while, and have more winter-based skins, activities, etc (other than the tasks we had at Christmas).
When will the snow go away?!?!
Does EA have a “suggestion box” email address for this game?
I’d like to suggest a 24 job for Barney/Plow King or Homer/Mr. Plow which will get rid of *all* the snow for the *whole* season.
Charge 100 donuts for it, I don’t care.
The snow is depressing. 🙁 🙂
