It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

The new Thanksgiving mini-event, Cold Turkey, started last week and ends on the 29th. Did you catch Graham’s rundown? How are you progressing in the new Event?

I’ve never posted here (or on any site like this), but there’s something that’s really driving me crazy. I have absolutely no sound in my game anymore. I’ve tried uninstalling it twice now, but that hasn’t worked, and since I’m not the most tech savvy person I don’t know what else to try.

You’re yelling at the wrong people (not that you should be yelling a demand anyway, to begin with)…no one on this site has the power to do that.
Believe me I know Sandra. Everyone is so blasted sensitive about everything these days.
I often find that, when I think the problem is “everyone,” that it means that the problem is REALLY with me. Just a thought.
I’m having the same problem. Telling me that I have new friends but nothing is there when I check. Logged out and back into EA to see if it helped, but nothing….. still saying that I have new friends that I can’t see….
I just got a Bart screen in the middle of playing. And the unique ID in it is different than the one that has been present since they added it to the game. So I guess its not identifying my Springfield, perhaps the server I’m connecting to.
While the Devs won’t say how, they can view these and know exactly what the server says was the reason.
If you look it’s formatted A : B : C – D – E and A is the Version no, currently 4.64.8.
My instinct on the others, B and C tell them a fault type and D and E tell them the server response.
One thing I have noticed – if C is a 0 then I only need to Retry or Hard Close and restart, even if it needs a few tries, to get back in and tapping.
I’m really hoping for a Serious Flanders Christmas event. There’s so much they could do with it!
Hoping EA comes up with something new for the Christmas update, would be nice. Just a bit more inventive like all updates used to be. Not putting money on it though !!!

Is anyone having weird friend notifications but then there’s no new friends when you flip over? I did try to see if there was a glitch but couldn’t find anythin regarding it. I’ve tried logging out and in several times and it doesn’t do anything.
I seem to recall that from a while ago, and sorry to say but the best advice is to ignore it.
Check the Friends List by tapping on the Handshake when you’re in the Friends Towns bit anyway and it’ll either show up or clear itself eventually.
I’ve had this a couple/few times over the years. Just ignore it and it will eventually go away.
Scoey has a 5 different tasks, how many addicts have tried all 5, why doesn’t his dialogue make you complete all 5 tasks, someone has coded them.
