Weekend Update: July 27th to Aug 2nd

We interrupt your normal Addicts hilariousness to bring you breaking news!

THE WOOKIEE IS OUT OF CHEETOS, EVERYBODY PANIC!

Ok… maybe no need to panic but I think a little Ewok has some splaining to do in the Jalapeno Cheetos department.  Anywho… Wookiee back with another recap of all the hijinks and info from the past week.  Lots of goodness to summarize so here we go…

After our last weekend update on SATURDAY, Bunny hopped out of the SDCC rabbit hole with more details from her adventure at ComicCon.  Each one of her posts about this barely contains her excitement and the details from Day 3 are no exception.

Now for the rest of the week’s fun!!

SUNDAY: Alissa started the day off to remind all you Addicts about our August Monthly Shoutout/Tapper of the Month and Whole ‘Nother Level Contests.  Both are closed now but there will be plenty of free donut opportunities to come.  Of course, no Sunday on the site would be complete without our Sunday Night Open Thread.  As always, it was a good time.

MONDAY: Alissa started off the laughs like usual with our regular silly pic that YOU caption in Caption This.  This particular image had me giggling.

Wookiee (hey that’s me!) brought another origin post to you with Where Did THAT Come From – Ninja Homer.  Of course, I had to make up for slacking the previous week and thought it’d be fun to share a commercial for the upcoming FXX Simpsons Marathon and a little bit extra.

TUESDAY: Bunny kick-started the day off with one last report from SDCC. Check out her last day and tons of images from the Con.  As a bonus, there’s a sick selfie she got with a really cool celebrity.  Let’s just say my little Ewok is very jealous.

Next up was another origin post from yours truly.  This time, we delved into that silly costume for Abraham Simpson aka Georgeous Grampa.

Alissa then popped by with another rad walkthrough for Level 42.  Did you miss some of the dialogue while tapping through the level.  Well, it’s all there for you if you wanted to catch up or just relive the laughter.

WEDNESDAY: The day began with another informative post from Alissa the Amazing.  Wondering how Level 43 affected the the Conform-O-Meter?  If so, this is the post for you.

If you haven’t figured it out, the ladies finally put me to work this week and I got to write my favorite WDTCF of the week about the new Krustyland schtuff that came with Level 43.

Bunny capped off the evening to remind y’all of the next Springfield Showoff. Have you done anything new with YOUR Krustyland now that we have more goodies?  Entries are due by NOON EST today so it’s certainly not to late to enter.  I am totally excited to see all your theme parks.

THURSDAY:  Alissa was first up with the results from the previous week’s Nuke Poll.  In addition, she asked just what cartoon you’d like to see become the next mobile game.  Did you vote yet?

In true form, she monopolized the day’s posts and gave Should I Buy info for the Unoriginal Log Ride.  This site isn’t all about her though (seriously laughing and expecting a scolding) so the night finished up  with a conversation with the July Tapper of the Month: Qtuappele.

FRIDAY: Alissa was up bright and early with another Should I Buy for the One Plate Maximum Buffet and was back later in the afternoon for the Duff Beer Fountain.

Friday also brought back one of our favorite features on the site, TSTO Anonymous.  This fuzzball-led meeting had to do with completionists.  Do you feel the feels when it comes to premium spending?

Alissa finished off our week with the finalists of our August Monthly Showoff/Tapper of the Month Contest.  Make sure to vote for your favorite and don’t forget to enter for your chance to win FREE DONUTS in a future month.

SATURDAY: So what do we have in store for y’all today??  Well you’ll have to stick around to find out!

The Whole ‘Nother Level Contest has closed as of midnight yesterday but stay tuned this week for the finalists and your chance to vote for your favorites.  I sincerely hope EA took a look at all your ideas because they really were amay-za-zing.  This is going to be a toughie to narrow down to just ten choices.
