Looks like we’ve received a little in game update on our Tapping Devices this morning…one last stand for Clash of Clones before it’s gone…
Think of this like a Gil deal…with out Gil. Homer will kick things off with a little dialogue between him and Bart…
Here’s the deal…
Here’s how Homer and Bart start things off….and this will only start if you’ve reached Level 5..
Homer: I love this medieval life! You get to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their Flanderses. I’m going to miss it when it’s gone. And the elixir. Oh God, how I’m going to miss that sweet purple, purple, purple elixir! Purple.
Bart: I just wish I’d gone with a different character. Skulking in the shadows as a goblin thief has been fun and all, but it takes me an hour every day to get into makeup. I want to spend an hour every day getting into armor!
You have until the event ends to decide if YOU want to take them up on this deal. For 200 donuts, the deal includes the Shadow Knight Throne and a Knight costume for Bart.
If you don’t take the deal this pops up..
Bart: Aw, come on! How am I supposed to stomp noobs without the newest, overpowered store item?
If you take the deal this dialogue starts…
Bart: Man, this outfit comes with everything! It’s got a flaming sword, a throme with a beer stein, and it makes me three feet taller! Today, I am a man. A towering, scary man!
And at that point it will appear in your inventory. So remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to pull it out.
Shadow Knight’s Throne: Premium bonus adds 2.75% to all cash and XP. 4×4 in size. This is used by the Shadow Knight…
The Shadow Knight: DOES come with a questline…we’ll have a full walkthrough on it later 🙂

Thought for sure it was going to be more items to spend the purple stuff on… and then I was disappointed. I got 90,000 to spend on multiples of the very few items available before it’s over.
I know…it was a pretty disappointing update today…at least soften the blow of a high priced item with some freemium stuff too
First of all, I love this game! I am so addicted. I am just starting to have a hard time with how expensive it seems to be getting. This new decoration and skin boils down to about $15.00. That seems kind of expensive to me. It’s not even a new character. If I could have him walking around my neighborhood along with the throne I would grab it. Especially for Halloween…it would be an awesome addition. Just too much for a skin and something that doesn’t really fit in well with Springfield. I think I’ll pass on this. I’ll save my 700 donuts for Halloween. It can’t come soon enough for me!!!!
In any case folks, with the CoC event ending in a few days, now’s probably the time to be sure to think about how you want to spend any built-up elixirs if like me you hadn’t been spending them for a while.
In addition to barbarian castle walls, towers, and gates, you can also upgrade the other castles for wall components, as well as look through the list to see if you want to buy the other elixir-eligible items: Banner, windmill, guillotine, hay wain, 2-story outhouse, etc.
I went for the “Offering”! I figure if I can afford the game, I will get Bart and the Throne!! Fun game!! Mahalo!!!

This is just laughable, and that’s before you compare it to what family guy released today!

I’m not sure if this is a known glitch or what, but I purchased the throne and started looking for the shadow night…to no avail. If you know about this, please reply. I already contacted EA and I’m waiting for a response. Thanks
They’re in two different places in your inventory. The throne is separate from the skin. Scroll through your entire inventory to find the skin 🙂
He comes later in the game!! 🙂 when?? Dunno!! 🙂

AAARRRGGHH!! I’m distrought. Its taken me 6 months to save up 250 donuts to buy Barney’s bowlarama. Tonight I paged through the Bart/Shadow Knight dialogue & BOOM I have the shadow knight & yes my donut spend confirm was on!!!!! I hate you EA!!!!!
Oh no! You can try contacting EA and let them know what happened. I don’t know if they’ll refund you but it’s worth a shot! 🙂
Thank you Alissa, I’ve tried but they don’t do email correspondence anymore. I waited into the small hours for an online chat but the waiting time was 70 mins+ and eventually they responded in the middle of the night when I was asleep, so I’m no further forward. :-/

Is there a place we can give suggestions decorations to add to the game? I want mailboxes, bus stops, a Springfield welcome sign, an outdoor basketball court, and more cars! It’s lame putting Chalmer’s car everywhere. Hopefully, they can put some of these things on new levels where we pay game cash not donuts.

I bought the throne and placed it but I’ve got no quest or skin for Bart. The throne just sits there…doing nothing, is there something I’m missing? am I supposed to do something other than place the throne? please help
Skin is in your inventory. It’s separate from the throne…scroll to the end of your inventory you should see him

Whilst it looks cool, I’ll give this a pass. (If we could buy it using elixir – of which I have over 60,000 – then I would have bought it.)
I’m hoping I don’t regret this in the end. Love the skin and the bonus on the chair is a nice surprise but 200 donuts. Hoping 630 donuts will be enough for all characters and 1 of every decoration for Halloween. Oh well no complaints from this addict. We wanted updates and they listened. Now if they only bring back booberella and devil Flanders ill really be smiling.

Like everyone else, I wish they’d give us things to buy with the useless elixir or gold. I never really cared for this event and it has gone on for far too long. I don’t bother sending nerds out anymore. I’m saving my donuts for Halloween.

Two hundred is a lot of doughnuts, but it Bart looks sick, and the quest-line so far is good.

I got it and put it in my Boxingham palace… those three castles will probably be boxed soon i like the looks and all… but the lisa’s and bart’s “castle” just looks wrong
Anyone have pics of their castles that wouldn’t mind if I used your design? I don’t like the way I set mine up and I am devastatingly bad at designs!

I finished the CoC prizes about 2 weeks ago, and now that all my castles are up to Level 20, I’m holding on to over 40,000 elixir and finding no reason to continue raiding. I was really hoping EA would, with either this update or with an in game message, add something else you could buy with excess elixir or suggest that elixir could be cashed out at the end of this event or even incentivize getting 100,000 in gold with some new prize or donut payout. I would really like to be able to trade all this elixir for something more than 8 extra guillotines.
Just let this Coc event end!
I really want this but 200 donuts is pretty steep especially with Halloween right around the corner. I think I’m going to save my donuts for Halloween.

Looks cool but I already have a premium costume for Bart (and it came with a building: Kamp Krusty). I think they’re overcharging for a decoration/costume by about 50 donuts; limited time isn’t worth that much of a premium.
