Tapped Out Event Walkthrough: Clash of Clones

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well…Clash of Clones is coming to an end.  Are you sad?  Do you miss it already?  Anyway, I thought it would be fun…while we’re waiting for “the next big thing”….to go back and take a look at all the fun of the main Clash of Clones questline!

This questline has a lot of twists and turns in it and is really a fun one to read.  So just in case you missed anything while reading it, we’ve got all the fun for you here!

In addition to interesting dialog, the main questline branches off in several places.  What I’ve done for this walkthrough is run through everything in the main questline, Prince and the Premise.  This includes the questlines Clash of the Clones and The Power of Upgrades because those questlines branch off from the Prince and the Premise.

So now, what are we waitin’ for?  Let’s relive the fun and excitement of the early days of raiding shall we?

The Final Countdown: The End of Clash of Clones on the Horizon

Update: Some of you have been commenting about a message from TSTO Today about Halloween…this popped up on my iOS device just a little bit ago. Could Halloween be coming tomorrow?!  One thing’s for sure….Halloween IS coming! 🙂

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well…the end is near!  Tomorrow (October 7th) Clash of Clones will officially end.  For some of you this might be a sigh of relief, for others you might be scrambling to get your last bit of gold and elixir.  As of right now, we see no signs of this event being extended.  In the past, if an event was going to be extended, EA would make an announcement several days before  it was initially scheduled to end.  As of now, no announcement & no changes to the files.  So I think it’s a safe bet to assume Clash of Clones will be gone tomorrow.  (and hopefully a new event in it’s place!)

So beyond the items what else do you need to know for the end of the Clash of Clones Event?  Let’s take a look at some of the steps you should know to finish out the event and get ready for some kind of update.

Sunday Night Open Thread

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

How are my favorite Addicted Tappers this evening?  Everyone have a good weekend?  Do anything fun and exciting?  Are YOU ready for a new Simpsons episode tonight?

Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right?  No it’s not time to conga!  Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!  (this is very quickly becoming our favorite time of the week by the way!  You guys have some AWESOME things to say!)

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING.  Just no Add me requests…those should go here.  We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread.  The Simpsons are all new tonight, (WOO-HOO!) just what’s in store for us tonight?  Will Bart and Homer sink on the Relation Ship?  This week TSTO saw two little updates to CoC…the Shadow Knight AND Nerds for purchase, did you purchase any of them?  Speaking of CoC..it’s set to end this week (finally!)…are you ready for it to be over?  Excited for what’s next?  Halloween perhaps?! 😉  Sports side of things…Playoff Baseball is on again tonight…Angels vs Royals tonight.  How AWESOME have the Royals been this postseason?  Football tonight features Bengals Vs. Patriots…will Brady continue is slide this season?

So chat about the Simpsons, TSTO, update fun, playoff baseball, NFL or anything else you can think of!

With just a few days left of Clash of Clones (anyone else ready for it to be over?) EA has dropped a fun little premium update in our laps.  The Shadow Knight, an all new costume for Bart, has hit our games and with that limited-time label I know it can be tempting to just buy, buy, buy!  But, have no fear, that’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Shadow Knight and his throne to YOUR Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button (or lack their of) let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this fictional character to your Springield!

Tapped Out Premium Walkthroughs: The Shadow Knight

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well Clash of Clones is almost  over and EA gave us a great way to count down till the end…a nifty timer on a popup with a knight that looks a lot like Bart.

How great is… not now Bunny I’m talking to the readers.  What?  What do you mean that’s not what today’s update was for?  What?  A premium skin and decoration?  FOR 200 DONUTS?!  What the hellllllll-o there readers!  So I guess we got ourselves a new little skin and decoration update for the not so little price of 200 donuts!

In all seriousness we got ourselves a little Clash of Clones shopping update today.  A Shadow Knight skin for Bart and his throne, you can read all about both on our rundown post here.  Think what you want about the price of the combo, and we’ll have a full Should I Buy up on it soon, BUT it does come with a really hilarious questline.  So for those players who are thinking about buying him, or those that are saying “No way man!” I bring you the full dialogue walkthrough for The Shadow Knight and his Metagaming experience!

1 really quick note…be REALLY careful around the popup box.  As many of you are reporting that, even though your confirm donut spend is set, you’re accidentally tapping to fast and purchasing him without really wanting to.  So watch those itchy tapping fingers! 🙂

9/9 In-Game Update Changes

Hey Howdy They Tappers!

Many of you received a little in-game update today…sorry it took us so long to post about it it JUST hit my device now.  So what’s different?  Well…

Elixir Wednesdays has been changed to Elixir Weekends.  Meaning you can now only purchase Elixir on the weekends, instead of Wednesdays.

Also, now Database’s 8hr task, Get Bullied, has been changed to pay out $550, 140xp…since it’s a joint task with Nelson.  So you’re now earning at the correct rate for a 2 character task.

Beyond those couple of changes what else changed?  Well many of YOU are now reporting the Krustyland Shield glitch has been fixed…however I would still exercise caution when visiting Krustyland with Shields in your Springfield.

Troop Replenishment Saturday is Back!

2pm EDT is here and now many of you will be seeing this message on your Tapping Device informing you that a new wave of  Nerds are ready for battle in your Springfield!

Unlike last week…THIS week…the message is actually followed by maxed out troops! 🙂
