In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to take a break from it all and look at some of the cool new things added to the game. This go round, the costumes. I know that myself and Wookiee normally tell YOU where things come from. Give you some inside details and information on items…well…we now want YOU to tell us and share with your fellow readers.
I am going to list the new costumes for each of the Kids, YOU tell us first off WHO they are dressed as, why you think that one was picked, and what episode they came from. What real life item are they resembling if not in an episode? Then, I want YOU to tell us another possible costume you would have liked to see them in. Ready?

Hi! How do you start the quest for the spooky house and the pumpkin house please…..nothing seems to trigger them and I can’t work it out….perhaps I am being thick?!?!? Thank you. Debby
For the Pumpkin House you have to craft the Great Pumpkin and for the Spooky House, Hugo. One you have them the Quest will start
The quests begin when you unlock Hugo and the Great Pumpkin respectively.
If you look, there’s a little chain icon next to the spooky and pumpkin houses. This means they are linked to the items above them. You won’t be able to unlock them until you unlock the quest trigger.
Oh, and advance the questline to the stage listed of course.
I have Hugo but I can’t unlock the Spooky House until I get to part 5 of his questline for example.

Having UFO problems. I have a bunch of ammo but a UFO has only appeared once in my neighbours’ towns in the past three days. I’ve read here that they’re supposed to appear 25 per cent of the time, so something’s not quite right. Any advice would be appreciated. These ammo are really burning a hole in my ammo pocket!
I’m having trouble on my A game😭 which is the 1 I play the most. I get a treat once for every 20 alien I squash. Thous making hard to help my friends since I have no aliens to give. Also finding it hard to find or get as many as my B&C game. It reminds me of Easter trying to find those bunnies were hard. Do you have an easier way to find aliens? My B&C game are smaller & have no trouble finding or getting treats. Should I put away my buildings/ decor? To all my friends reading this I haven’t forgotten you. I am visiting your town just no aliens to give.Thanks rhewtty95.
Rod and Todd are dressed up as Cain and Able. Which is just funny, ironic, and fitting, especially since Cain and Able are brothers. LOL I laughed so hard after seeing that. I’m just curious if those two will kill each other? Brother against brother…. soooo biblical. lol

S.V.T looks more like he is from grease. Be that the case, it doubles as a zit reference.

I really hope Nelson can be the Lone Ranger/ raccoon in next year Halloween event since he does dress up as a raccoon (although he constantly claim himself as the Lone Ranger) in one of the episodes of the Treehouse of Horror.
Ugh, I couldn’t completely place any of them at first. Martin, Nelson, Ralph and Milhouse looked incredibly familiar though. After reading the comments, I’m still fuzzy on Milhouse and Martin, but Nelson and Ralph are almost clear in my memory (though those were the two that caught my eye first).
Oddly, one of my favorite THOH mini-episodes completely passed me by when studying the costumes, as I’m ashamed to admit that I blanked on Sherri & Terri – the comments here inspired a big “duh!” moment.

Halloween 2014 pretty lame so far. They shouldn’t be calling the premium items anymore. The real premium or fantastic thing is when they actually allow you to purchase items with other currencies in the game of than donuts. EA seems to just be it for the cash grabbing anymore. It would be nice to actually have use for the money we collect but wii all these “events” cash has become obsolete. In the end I feel like this game is broken. After the Easter, the stonecutters and then the clash of clans now this years halloween let downs, this app is on the chopping block. On my device anyways.
I don’t think last THOH had anything you could buy with GOO. No event that I can remember has had any purchasable items with event currency, except for Easter, last Christmas, and Valentine’s Day with the wheels, and Clash of Clones with Elixir. Again, what I remember.
It’s an okay Halloween. You get Kang for free and the Build-a-thing workshop for cash. You’ll get 6 various items for probes/long proteins/ray guns. Alas, I wouldn’t consider those items top flight Halloween items. The items you get for crafting things is a real puzzler and I suspect we’ll be hearing more complaints about those items later in the event (pumpkin house, spooky house, etc.). It’s going to be really hard getting these items for free. I’ve been vigilant with the trick or treating and am still averaging about 10 pumpkins a day. At this rate, I’ll probably only be able to get two items (Hugo and the Grand Pumpkin) for a lot of work. People who play this game casually or haven’t gone through all the levels and don’t have all the kids will have a hard time getting even that many items. Essentially, people are going to have to play a ton and still have to pay for these items with donuts. I suspect that will turn a lot of people off to the trick or treating aspect of this event.
A funny choice for Lisa would have been the state of Florida costume Homer made for her for the geography pageant in the episode “$pringfield (or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)” Or as Homer spelled it, “Floreda”

Hi Addicts, I have a question on the recent update. When I click on the find friends in my game (iPhone) it is now trying to log me into my Facebook account. Every. Single. Time. Is there a to get the game to remember that?

~Lisa is clearly a witch & my first instinct is to say it ties into Marge’s witch costume. However, I wonder if there is some tangent she had about the Salem witch trials. Is she making a point? Or just going classic?

Martin Prince claims to be Calliope, the Greek muse of epic poetry, while attending a Halloween party at the Simpsons house in Treehouse of Horror III — at which point Nelson punches him in the belly… I mean gut… err, crap-factory [ala Bart from an unrelated episode (who was also under threat of getting punched by Nelson)].
Thanks. I can see the costumes better here than in the actual game. I figured Dolph was dressed as an insect, but I didn’t know it was Spider-man (yes, I know spiders are not insects). SVT has had me a little puzzled. From the neck up, he reminds me of Fry from Futurama, but from the neck down, he looks more like Fonzie from Happy Days. Anyone? I’m guessing Jimbo is supposed to be a solider from Halo, but I’m not sure.
Are Sherri & Terri dressed as the twins seen in ‘The Shinning’? It looks like the same outfits. Question: I don’t have Sherri & Terri yet. I could use some more trick or treaters though. Do they both each collect a treat bag in this event or do they collectively bring back one treat bag? Thanks.

I don’t have S&T either, but from comments on other entries it seems like they just get one silver or gold bag every 16 hours like the other premium characters.
It would had been really cool if he or one of them did dress up like someone from Futurama, but I guess that may interfere with their cross-over plans they have for the near future in the series (which may or may not extend to the TSTO game, we’ll have to wait and see).

Is anyone having a problem with the game crashing when completing the Trick or Treating quest line? I’ve sent in a report to EA but haven’t heard back yet. Can’t keep uninstalling / reinstalling.
I’ve got the same problem… Even after I pass the quest it keeps coming back. Really frustrating.
I cant seem to complete it, either the kids or bags keeps getting reset to 0 before I complete the other

Club in “Das Bus” Treehouse of Terror 20 had Dolph as Venom, Kearney as Heath Ledger’s Joker, and Jimbo as Master Chief from Halo.
Havn’t seen that movie in a long time, but somehow Sherri and Terri remind me of twins from Shining…
And Kearney gets my vote for creepiest costume 🙂
