Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No it’s not time to roast chestnuts on an open fire. Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread. The Simpsons are all new tonight. Treehouse of Horrors!! How will Moe’s new outfit come into play? Are you ready for the trivia? Halloween Phase 1 ends tomorrow, are you all caught up with your probes? Ready for phase 2? No baseball tonight, but Sunday Night Football features the 49ers vs the Broncos. Who will win?

Is it safe to assume that the drive in theater will be available until the end of the event? Or is that yet another thing that pesky ole EA has shrouded in secrecy lol
I think it’s safe to assume it’ll stay. I think all the new items will remain for the whole event 🙂 (And to show good faith, I haven’t purchased it yet myself 😉 )
Awesome it’s a must have for me after seeing it in action in my neighbors towns. The mutant animation with the dumpster is hilarious and the movie screen showing movies is one of the coolest things they’ve done. But it will have to wait until I can afford to buy some more sprinklies bcuz all my saved ones are gone now that devil Flanders and witch marge became available as they were instant purchases. Two rare things that I passed on at the time they were available for lack of funds that I’ve always regretted but now I am vindicated 🙂

I thought tonight’s THOH episode was really good, the Skinner/Chalmers hybrid monster would have been a cool addition to the game and it was cool to see all the different incarnations of the Simpsons at the end. So there’s still no confirmation about how long the returning stuff will be available? I was hoping to wait a bit longer until I bought some donuts to maximize my donut purchase and get the store full of donuts but if the stuff is only available until tomorrow, I unfortunately won’t have that option.

I’ve noticed lately that all my neighbours keep showing as “new” so I can’t tell if they are due for daily actions unless I actually go into their Springfield. Very time consuming. Wondering if anyone is experiencing the same thing.

That was the best simpsons of the season by far. Now we need to bug EA into giving us Springfield Hellementary…for free.
I enjoyed CLOCKWORK YELLOW! I got a bit nervous right on the the last fight scene, tho. I wasn’t sure how they would get away with the following dream scene (as in the movie). 😳 Relieved they didn’t try on the cartoon. 😅
What made me shout out loud was the NARUTO version of the family! I wanna see more of that! 😝

I’m soooo happy I can play on my tablet again! After 6+ weeks and lots of headache inducing emails back n forth to EA it turned out to be a problem with Samsung. Got a software update on Friday and everything works now. Hope I’m not jinxing myself…
Any tappers in the Chicago area, tomorrow is Woo Hoo! Classic Simpsons Trivia Chicago Halloween Spectacular! If anyone is interested it’s at Pizzeria Serio on Belmont. It’s free, and of course there’s a costume contest. It’s a public event so everyone is welcome. 3rd Monday, every month. Optional all you can eat pizza (brick oven) for $10. 3 classic (seasons 1-11) episodes aired on ALL tvs and 50 trivia questions based on the same seasons. Always tons of fun and awesome prizes, Simpsons of course. There’s chapters in Brooklyn and Toronto as well.
Now I gotta go finish the scalloping on my Crazy Cat Lady costume. Happy tapping!
what Samsung device are you using? I can pay fine on my S4, but I’m still on 4.2, the wife can’t pay on her note 10.1 2014 edition with 4.4. Would be nice to be able to play on that tablet.
Do you think probes will convert into Ray guns tomorrow? I have 630 probes (on my way to my 3rd or 4th silver treat bag bonus). Am I going to lose the probes? Or will they turn into Ray guns?
We do not know til it hits.
I was wondering if anyone knows if I’ll have time to get Hugo in phase 2 with treats or should I just use donuts to try to get him now begire phase 1 ends?

I am pretty screwed with my probes. I have 7 hours left and need 900 of them. A good chunk of that time will be spent sleeping. Figures.. The donut Torture Device was the only prize I really wanted to. Losing that entire day due to Amazon killed me.
Made a big leap this morning. I finally caved and purchased donuts. I bought the truck load and picked up Devil Flanders, Witch Marge, The House of Evil. Debating The Bad Dream House and Kodos still. Kind of pricey just for a house. Wish I had not missed out on Vampire Burns, hopefully he returns from the dead once again.
Still can not find Apu in the Lego packs.
Hopefully the 49’s win. I hate the Broncos.
Enjoyed the Halloween episode, waiting for Walking Dead to start.
Good news everyone. I picked out a puppy this morning. My parents are giving her to me as my Christmas gift. She will be ready to come home in 3 weeks. It has been almost 3 years since my last dog died and I finally decided I was ready.
The good news is you’ll be able to craft it in the next phase, so there’s still hope to get it 🙂
If you get Kodos, the ray gun will generate bullets every 8 hours. Those bullets get you prizes that will help you get the Donut device.

I’m in the same position but I’m only short 175. Problem is that my trick or treaters don’t return til after time runs out and my neighbours towns won’t give me more. Ima see if I can get more after midnight but it doesn’t look good.
Loved the 1st and 3rd act, the 2nd was odd.

So I just started playing in the middle of the Clones event and as soon as it was over the Halloween event started. Is there ever a time when there isn’t an event happening? Also, they will do a Christmas event right?

I loved it too. My wife and I are big fans. Some folks on here thought it was odd, but I loved every reference. No Spartacus though.
Unfortunately I have to wait a day as I rely on Hulu for my Simpsons viewings. However, I am so excited about the Clockwork Orange spin. Huge fan of book and movie. Huge Kubrick fan so I will be on the lookout for the Apollo moon landings conspiracy reference and others I’m hoping to see. Thanks for the heads up!
Is it safe to assume that level 46 will be released when Halloween event is over? What will be the next event after Halloween? Thanksgiving?
With EA, it’s NEVER safe to assume…
And yes, it should be Thanksgiving (although it’s pretty minor compared to Halloween and Christmas. Thanksgiving is more like 4th of July)

I felt the same way. But couldn’t resist the temptation to create more in my town, but I chose to purchase fortress of choclitude. Was a toss up between that or sit n rotate. I chose the choc. Sso happy with my decision after tapping it and realizing a super hero emerges!
Really cool, started saving again and am now at 600k.

OMG!!! Loved A Clockwork Yellow! Stanley Kubrick is one of my favorite filmmakers. But what, no Lolita references, no Paths of Glory, did I miss The Shining references?
The tribute to the old Simpsons from the Tracy Ulman show was great, just like the little drop-ins we occasionally see from Groening’s Life in Hell comic series.
Will the Spooky house or the Giant Pumpkin be returning during Phase 2??? Its come down to choowing between the two….
Far as I know…items in the Make A Things stay.
So I’m starting to realize that it is nearly impossible to get all the craft able items. I have all kids, except the single premium ones from the store, doing trick or treating, and I set an alarm for every 8 hours, so it’s nonstop, all I have been able to craft is Hugo, so now it’s basically coming down to choosing between the Giant Pumpkin or the Spooky house, will one of those be coming back after Phase 2 starts???
I did not see a date on them. Nothing to note they will be going. We will know soon.
I’m happy that after feeling like I couldn’t get enough probes for the last prize I’m only 300+ away I’ll stay up all night if I have to ea patching the egg glitch helped I started saving them n got a bunch of probes yesterday can’t wait for phase two to begin tomorrow

I think the moe question came up on my game but because it was also doing dialogue I tapped too many times and think I may have lost it.. It said to watch the show to find the answer but I haven’t had anything else come up yet, does it come up on its own or do I need to prompt it? Thanks

Looking forward to phase 2 but more importantly to next weeks possible premium items. Shauna & Brandine would be superb…and my only rant would be in this event is:
WOULD IT KILL EA IF THEY GAVE US SOME FREE STUFF (in game cash). It’s bananas (b-a-n-a-n-a-s) how much this event is…the first phase stuff was 0>500 donuts…then burnsies coffin…then Suzanne…now phase 2 limited items (anyone else pissed off that they got rid of the cemeteries)…devil Flanders doesn’t even pay premium. Money, money, money!!!
This guy gets it…. unless the reason for that is “Shut up Flanders”
I mean, seriously. Consider the kids who play this game. EA is definitely over the edge and into the state of Greedy.

I have an in game money question for level 45’ers. How much money does everyone feel you should have saved up for the next Level Update? I know last time we were hit with a double level update, 44, 45, and I was caught way off guard by how much I had saved. Is everyone thinking around 1.5 mil? 1.3? I want to finish buying open land but not get caught off guard again.
If there is a new aspirational item…15 million. If not, 2 or 3 million.
I’m shooting for 5 million myself so that I have a nice cushion. I’m not even buying land, the only items I’ve bought lately are a handful of halloween-themed trees. Level 45 almost wiped me out. My current goal is 5.75 million so that I can get the Sunosphere guilt-free. Barring that, I’d say at least 3 million is needed, given how much the last two levels cost.
This may be an odd way to start off, but has anyone noticed a glitch with their portal to Rigel 7? I just purchased it and noticed that it gives me 6 rigillians EVERY time I visit my town, regardless of the time between visits. This happened to anyone else?

Yeah your pretty lucky I would have to concur that is pretty awesome. If I knew I’d get the glitch id totally hafta make the purchase myself lol.
I had that same glitch! I was totally cheesing about it but it stopped…. now I’m going to have to play extra hard to get everything rather than portal farming!!
