Hey there Hoppereenos. The next Phase of the TSTO Halloween Event is upon us and now are sights are set on earning Ray Gun. So naturally that means you want some kind of guide or Calendar to help you get an idea of what totals to strive for to help you get the two additional Prizes this go round.
Now keep in mind that there are alternate options to getting some of the Personal Prizes BEYOND just earning them by hitting the Ray Gun goals. (As you saw with Phase 1, they are now available to create in Make A Things. So for those of you that might not make the goal in time, there will be a second chance) . So here is the general breakdown for the Ray Gun Calendar starting the day of launch and ending the night before Phase 2 ends (10/31 8GMT).

I don’t get it. I am already slightly behind the calendar. Not bad, but 30 or 40 down. I play multiple times a day, visit every neighbor I have and I still come up really short.
Oh and just after I complained about the ammo never giving anything good my wife hit 30 donuts. Twice. In a row. Mother Pheasant Plucker.

How many kids are you sending Trick or Treating? I’m over 1,000 and a HUGE chunk came from treat bags and Grem-Aliens…
I think 12 or so. I have every free kid available, SVT and Witch Marge as well. I usually am able to collect them 2x a day. Sometimes 3 depending on my work schedule.

I only have 4 going out (that’s all I have) but am also just over 1000. Treat bags and Gremaliens are a bonus but really not necessary – I’ve had very few. You just need to get your full quota by logging in every 5 or 6 hours and getting your 90/day from visiting neighbours.
Incidentally, are there any stats on how often you get treat bags from squishing aliens in your town? I don’t have any figures but it feels like I’m getting way less from the ray-guns than I did from the probes.
I’d have to do some digging for it, I don’t think we have it posted. However, it didn’t change from Probes to Ray Guns…

I loved phase 1 (minus the GremAlien glitch), and phase 2 seems like it’s doing just as good! Can’t wait to see what the prizes do.
Already at the 900 mark for the Ray guns, so ahead of schedule (having no life and being addicted does that)
Doing pretty good for day 1 of the ray guns. Almost got the second prize bag at 775 ray guns. It also helps that I’m off work with a new baby and not getting any sleep any ways. I figure if I’m not getting any sleep, might as well check my Springfield!
I noticed a few of my neighbours on task 1 had extreme amounts of points i gather they must have jailbroken iphones and cheat so will ea ban all those ???
Why would you assume instant guilt? Seems kinda harsh to be judge jury and executioner so quickly.
Let me offer you an alternative view. MANY players (lots here) stockpiled ALL their treat bags and ALL their eggs. So the moment the switch over happened, instant boost when all those eggs released and treat bags opened.
My suggestion is always don’t be so quick to judge your neighbors. Yes hackers are out there, but it doesn’t mean everyone higher up than you is one. You don’t know all players stories. What their game play or strategy is.
Short story long, lead with kindness. Not pitchfork and torches. 🙂
(P.s. jailbreak iPhone has nothing to do with illegal game access. Any device can get it. Personal risk to do so however.)
Case and point being that I came in to yesterday with 160 eggs from saving them up due to hitting the DTV early and with the glitch not rewarding probes. So I was sitting pretty after I released all 160 on friends yesterday. Plus I was racking up silver bags from every 750 probes..so yeah..didn’t cheat…just was sitting on a bunch of items..haha
Very true Bunny! But if I see someone with a lot of the premium stuff and then notice a CoC nerd…wandering around instead of being chained …I’m getting out that pitchfork.

The doughnut machine can still be collected from the items you get out of your bags it’s at the bottom of the list
Thanks so much for the calendar!! Just wondering – and putting it here because I’m not really sure where else to post it – I have one neighbor who is already showing over 1400 ray guns, which I can see only if he’s speeding through with some donut assistance. (He also finished phase 1 with more than 15,000 probes, which seems consistent with spending to rush.) BUT… He’s already showing 80 DNA strands. Is this a glitch you’ve heard of, or should I assume he’s hacking something?
In phase 1 I noted another neighbor who had an absurdly high number of probes, well over 30,000, last I saw. He disappeared from my neighbors list suddenly, after we were neighbors for only a few days. Does EA take the initiative to remove suspected cheaters? Even by speeding, does this seem possible without cheating?
Well in test games…not speeding…we got high drops first day. It all depends on what you have, who you have, how many eggs, how many treat bags, UFO’S ….on n on. So not impossible. Strains is another story. And yes…EA will take down hackers.
Let’s see about that. I have one neighbor in whose town U.B.O. is already running around… 🙁
Thanks I’m in love with these calendars lol! I’m 3 Ray guns behind right now but that’ll be quickly fixed before I go to bed. Hopefully I can keep up with this calendar since the last phase literally came down to the last two hours or so for me.

totally PO’d I am not getting credit for about one out of every 4 squishes , not sure if it was an issue during the probes as I didn’t have time to log in as much so a lot were “multiple” squishes

I only get money when I tap the neighbor’s, no ray guns. Is anyone else having this problem? I am very behind already.
Did you already max your 90 taps for the day? If so…wait til it resets.
I haven’t gotten any ray guns from any one of my neighbors since it started. WTH? I want reimbursement. Like that will happen….
Wait until all your friend actions are clear/reset so you can get 3 from everyone. Then see if you earn them
Thanks for the the info. 🙂 Like the poster above though, I worry that I’ll miss this deadline like the first one. I simply haven’t got time to play every hour for those 12 squishes. I’m working as hard as I can but I’m already behind and it’s only the first day. 🙁 I have max friends so maybe I’m short on kids or something?
Just play at a pace that fits YOU. If your play time is limited, set smaller goals. Then increase them as those are achieved. Please don’t give up one day in. Anything can change as you play. 🙂
This round will be a whole lot less stressful for me! For the probes I was I believe a day or two behind so I really had to work hard to catch up. This time I can relax a little and just enjoy. This years Halloween event has been so much fun! 🙂
Just note that even though you need fewer rayguns to complete the final prize at 7100 you’re getting 2 per squish instead of 3 per squish in phase 1
I bought a hunting license the first day of this event. It was delivering as advertised until this new event. Now I’m only get two ray guns for each alien squished in my town instead of the three. Is this happening with anybody else?
The license never impacted YOUR town. Only the neighbor visits were multiplied. Sorry.
I was behind two days according to the calendar during phase 1, but won all the prizes and even got one extra treat bag by playing day and night, at home and college, sleeping and eating. lol
I do not like the prizes of the second phase so I am going easy on this one.
PS I did not use any donuts to speed up the things.
I have noticed that the aliens come to the screen so that we can squish them. When the screen is moved, the aliens tend to follow
Uh huh. They aliens track you…so just wait and they come to you…outside the ones latched.
Sorry but this is a qustion. On the new THOH XXV Mr Burns is in a mask with another mask as his underwear. I saw a Tapped Out Friend with the same costume. Its on the Clock Work Yellow skit. Is that a sceret outfit? And does anyone know how to unlock it, was it a glitch, a task?

I wish there was another way to earn rockets to shoot down the UFOs besides the rare occasion they are in a goodie bad or buying them with doughnuts. I feel like I’m missing out!

Thanks for all your help with the calendars. Day 1 and I’m in trouble already after playing multiple times today, doing all friend visits and getting a plus 50 bonus on a UFO hit. How exactly does the bank work? I’ve never had more than 50 rigellians cleared at a single time. Am I missing something? Love the site, it’s been a huge help, and a great source for new neighbors!
The bank is for those that rarely play and are away from their game for hours or a day or more. Only 50 can fit in your town. Once that’s hit…up to 30 more store away in your bank til you return. So if you’re in your game ALL the time… The bank won’t matter to you as you’ll never have an overflow of aliens.
Thanks Bunny, that helps a lot. During phase 1 there were 12-14 hour periods where I wasn’t playing, is that not long enough for the bank to kick in?
It’s too long. To be the most successful you need to log in every 6-8 hrs 3 times/day (or more if you can)
Thanks for all the help and how responsive you are to players. Love this site and FGTQFS. I even tried reinstalling and playing with different time intervals, anywhere between 5 and 10 hrs between plays – still no banked rigellians, always a max of 50. Guess I need to come back every 4 hours! 🙂

I’m on track for the probe and ray-gun prizes, but the gift bag prizes. Wow, I’ve only won Hugo so far. Is that normal? It’s taking so long. Am I the only one?
I still don’t have the pumpkin…missing about 100 chocolates. Takes some time 😉
I just cashed in to get Hugo, miles away from anything else. I did get the human test subject in a bag quite early on but at this rate I think Hugo is the only thing I’m going to be able to build, except maybe a piece of wall or two.

Kinda OT, but is anyone else’s game really, really slow to load? It takes a good few minutes for the game to get going, same deal if I want to switch to Krustyland or friends. I have enough space on my phone so I’m wondering what else it could be.
It’s still a HUGE memory suck to run. There’s a lot of content and from time to time it just moves slow on the load screen. Mine’s doing it as well..
Maybe it’s all the Halloween update stuff in particular, I’ve just really noticed it since then. Which is annoying, because it’s really fun! I’m also getting some progress resetting every time I log in, like the last character I set to do something is just wandering around aimlessly instead of doing what I told it to do.
If you have a LOT of stuff in your town…that will deplete it fast. Especially with the added aliens running around. Store any items you are not really using. Like those NPC characters on land and sea. Try and keep ALL other characters on indoor tasks so there isnt a flood of them outdoors also adding to the drain.
LOTS of decorations will drain the town. I know. I had my account locked out for 3 months while they rolled back to the point my town DIDNT have too much stuff. Not a fun ordeal. Try to not push the limits of the town. 😉
That’s a good idea, I do have a bunch of stuff so I can store some of the less awesome things. I emailed EA earlier though because I can’t get onto my friends page at all it’s just spinny donut and server errors and they said there’s a fix coming so I don’t think it’s totally on our end! They also gave me a few donuts so that was awesome.

I wish there was a way those of us playing a couple/few times a day could keep up
At twelve squishes per hour and 90 ray guns from friends (assuming no hunting license), that’s a total of 2*12*24+90 = 666 ray guns per day. So if you can do all of the squishing everyday you’ll have enough for the prizes. That doesn’t include ray guns from bags (there are a lot), grem-aliens, or ammo, so even if you can’t make every possible squish every day there are plenty of chances to make up for them.
I’m glad I saw the episode that these two items are from during the THOH marathon yesterday. Having it fresh in my mind will make these items more meaningful to me when I (hopefully) get them over the next 11 days 🙂

If we’re shooting for 12 squashes per hour, then we can’t afford to sleep for 8 hours at a stretch for the next few weeks. LOL.
I feel like I must be doing something wrong because it takes me so long to earn probes and guns. I didn’t make it to the final prize last time and even thought it’s the first day I worry I won’t make it this time.
It all depends on how YOU tap. How many times YOU go into your game. How many kids YOU send to get treat bags. How many neighbors YOU visit. It all comes down to how YOU play. 🙂
Just go at a pace that suits you and works for you.
