Ahhh Update! 
Well..true to form EA has released LEVEL 46!
More details as we go through it…but for now know that Nelson kicks things off. Of course if you’re like me and have him Trick-or-Treating it doesn’t help..you’ll be required to build a new building (trying to avoid spoilers) that will take 24hrs to build and costs 1.2 million.

So it looks like Level 46 is all about Nelson! As mentioned above Nelson kicks things off and you’ll be required to build Classy Girls Strip Club, for 1.2 Million. It takes 24hrs and will unlock Mrs. Muntz!
Now here’s the level rundown…
First the Freemium stuff…
New Building:
Classy Girls Strip Club- $1,200,000. 24hr Build. Earns $35, 3xp/1 hr. 4×9. Unlocks Mrs. Muntz.
New Decorations:
Tiki Bar– $95,000. Improves Vanity. Can be placed on Squidport or Springfield.
Moon Bounce- $150,000. Improves Vanity. Will NOT unlock until you reach the One Small Bounce for Man questline. (Bart starts Part 1, Willie starts Part 2) Can be placed on Squidport or Springfield. This works very similar to Channel 6. You pay to assign the job and make money. Here’s the breakdown of who can Bounce:

Springfield Clamphitheater- 145 Donuts. 6s Build. Earns $135, 15xp/4hrs. 12×12. Requires Level 6. Springfield only.
Character:
Greta Wolfcastle- Unlocks with the Preparatory School. Part of More Kids Character collecting. And I know everyone is wondering…YES she will have a 16hr task to help you earn MORE Treat Bags during Halloween.

Apologies to write again!! Do we “need” an extra Pumpkin House , and is there extra points once we get it? And also, someone had written a couple threads back abt getting 90 Donuts!! That’s what I was wondering abt and didn’t make it clear in thread of what I was asking abt! I have gotten the other Donut “Boxes” many times, so do understand that, but the ? Nope you don’t need extra pumpkins. And you can win 30 donuts from shooting down UFOs…so a few people have won that multiple times. 🙂
Yes I came here to inquire why I ended up with 30 more donuts than I had previously. Theres my answer. Plus the neighbours are dropping loads and were getting them in the gift bags too. Ive gone from 83 to 150 donuts since this event started. Nice to see a little competition from FGQFS is helping this game out!
I wrote that, I have now earned 120 doughnuts shooting down the UFO. Plus I keep getting random doughnuts when swishing my neighbors aliens. I bought the ammo so I have shot down every UFO I have seen but still they are there to win.
Lucky bugger… I have shot down many, many UFO’s and not one donut 🙁
Did I miss the gill character? I’ve visited my friends town & have been seeing him in there. I’ve been playing non stop since I found it back when wacking day was ending😭 oh how I wish they brought it back since I was unable to get anything from whacky day. I know they bring us gills deals but I’ve never seen him available for purchase. Please let me know if he’s coming with this new update. Thanks.
It’s a glitch. He isnt around and hasnt been for a bit now.
I saw him in a neighboreeno’s town today too! Looking all pathetic and everything, voices and all. As if he were an actual character…I thought I had missed something, but I somehow caught the update shortly after it happened this morning and my Gil experience was just a few hours ago after a large number of my peeps were sent on new tasks so I was mostly sure it wasn’t that. I hadn’t had much wine yet either, though that was my second guess. All the same, I looked at my menus and such but didn’t see anything. Anyway, it’s not just you experiencing the (I think) delightful neighbor weirdness.
Or a hack.
It says in the article that Bart opens the quest for the moon bounce but he hasn’t for me yet. Has it not been “released” yet? Or are there other requirements. I’m level capped and he’s not currently doing anything
Ah I answered my own question. I guess you have to finish mrs. Muntz 7part quest line first. Bart get back out there trick or treating!! Lol
Extra Pumpkin House Question!! I already have a Pumpkin House from last yr!! I can “craft” one now with all the points ready to go!! Is there any extra Advantage to having an extra Pumpkin House or Pumpkin Houses? Mahalo! I am not getting all those extra Ray Guns from my Neighbors!! I get them from my Springfield but a small amt from Neighboreenos!! Use to get a lot of them and it seems that my tapping is counting in my town, but not in neighboreenos!! Mahalo for any help!! Usually when a new level is added and I level up the XP required to get the bonus donuts goes down a bit. This time it almost doubled, I went from needing 800,000(ish) for the donuts to needing over 1,500,000! Was that supposed to happen or is my situation unique? Love the new level though. Great additions!

I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary playing TSTO last month and level 46 popped up right up for me (I’ve been doing A LOT of tapping over the last 13 months). Until this level appeared I’ve been able to complete each level fairly quickly. I didn’t buy Bloaters until Halloween started, due to in game money troubles and I made Ziff my priority. So I put it on hold and am letting the kids trick or trick, as they should be!!
Now I’m $100K from buying the “Club” and am contemplating holding off until Halloween wraps up. Is anyone else in a similar position? Halloween is very time consuming and I think holding off will allow me to focus on collecting alien stuff/bags and level 46 will be more fun if I wait.
What do you think? I don’t think I’ll change my mind, but the discussion should be fun to read.
Sounds like Wookiee has an incredibly fun job. I would enjoy seeing a quick post about some of the hilarious moments he encountered on the job after he’s back. It’s off topic, but would be awesome for us daily visitors.
I like to wait on my regular game to get items that are part of the basic levels. No need to rush them.
I actually think they shouldn’t drop levels during an event (unless the event has clearly gone stale like CoC did). It’s a win-win really, because we’re not distracted and looking for it so no real benefit to us to get it right away, and they can stretch out adding new content longer to help maintain the shelf life of the game.
seems like every time i come close to my goal of a $1.5M buffer its gets wiped out. oh well, guess thats what its there. just makes it hard to buy land when i know the next thing is going to cost over $1M.
Of course Level 46 comes out on the very day that I finally reached Level 45. Oh, well…..
Overall, my progress in the game (especially Krustyland, which I started kinda late) has pretty much stalled, since I can’t send any kids on any 12 or 24 hour tasks, since I need to keep them trick-or-treating. On the plus side, this enforced break is allowing me to accumulate $$ and tickets so that, once the Halloween event is over, I’ll be in good shape to buy what I need to to continue!
Eh…it’s a level. So here to stay and complete whenever you got the time. 🙂
True, but I remember reading that there were some nice bonuses (donut box thing?) for those at max level. (I really like being at max FP level and getting triple $$ and XP, though!)

I was hoping more important characters (Janey,Wendell,Helen,Jewish Man,Sideshow Bob,Sam,Larry,Martin’s dad,Allison Taylor,Sarah Wiggum and Martha Prince)
Adding Nelson’s mom is an interesting twist. I’m just more frustrated with some of the glitches that seem to have popped up in the past two releases. Hopefully EA fixes those because they’re almost to the “constant freeze” issue of earlier this year…
At 180 d’nuts, is greta and the prep school worth it? ?
Really want another kid to help get the halloween bags, but having spent quite a few d’nuts on some of the come back bits I was hoping to save the rest for the next event. Aaarrrhhhh, what to spend….

Levelled up on opening game and built the club next to my casino. Now my xp bar is showing 1.5 million required for next level?!? Previously was only few hundred thousand as I’ve never really blood mobiled my way for the free donuts on maxing out xp bar.
One thing I really wish this game would “borrow” from Family Guy is the ability for a character to start dialogue while on a quest. Why do I have to wait the 5 hours for Nelson to finish Trick or Treating for him to have a conversation? Drives me up the wall.
Lol…that or lose the time and treat bag and store his house to kick him out.
I do find it kind of ironic that he *SPOILER* complains about low blood sugar while he has been Trick or Treating for a week and a half straight now. Those kids sugar levels should be off the charts by now.
I can’t for all of the parents to have the 24 hour “inspect kid’s candy and remove the good stuff” mission.

I know this may be a stupid question, but is anyone having trouble with the update and then it leveling you up? I have leveled up twice on level 45 and now I’m at the beginning of level 45 again. Do I need to wait to get to 46?
Your meter should say Level 46….try a hard close and restart the game see if that helps. If you still can’t get to Level 46 contact EA and let them know what’s going on…
How come every time I get close to max out my level and find out what’s in that little box they add a new level…. ugh …..lol maybe I will find out one of these days

Anyone else not able to get into the game after the update. That damn Bart keeps pulling the plug on me and its driving me crazy that I cant get into my Springfield. Tried contacting EA but it wont let me submit my info for them to call because of Origin’s website is experiencing intermittent delays or something. Ugh what the heck
I think you just answered your own question. If Origin goes down…it will pull the game with it. Sounds like the two are linked. 🙂

Leveled up right away, but don’t have the 1.2 yet for the Classy Lady. Can anyone confirm if the Ziff Corp Building went down in price with the new level up?
It did not. It’s 3 new levels before it drops. So Level 46 dropped prices on Level 43 and lower…but not Levels 44 & 45
My iPhone downloaded the update, but when I logged in on my iPad i do not see the update. I am level 46 on both, but when I select Nelson on my iPad there is no new task and the items above are not in the store. Any idea?
Are you done with all the quests from previous levels?
Thanks Bunny. I think the message about having unsaved Springfield on another device was causing the issue. I followed the steps in the Help section and am all good now 🙂

Since the update, the triffids i had planted are going berzerk: They keep “blinking the growing process” super fast and incessantly. I’ve logged out/in, visited neighbors and Krustylands with no change. Just curious if this is happening to anyone else’s Cletus Farm. It’s really trippy 🙂
It’s happening to everything I plant. And to my neighbors’ farms as well. Maybe it’s part of the update, to give us headaches? Lol

I’ve been playing this game everyday for over 2 years now and this has been the worst Halloween update. I feel very let down and have taken more interest in the family guy quest for stuff. Seems like this game is getting just as terrible as the show itself.
Really? Personally I’m loving this more than TQFS… but hey to each his own.

Have to agree… While I am enjoying the TSTO Halloween event, the amount of premium>freemium is a HUGE issue. It sucks going week to week to week of an event and getting not a single item that isn’t premium.
It truly feels like EA just caters to premium players where TinyCo caters to freemium player but REWARDS premium players.

lol funny you should say that because we’re modding comments on TQFS where people are complaining TinyCo only caters to premium players. So I think it’s a gentle balance and honestly I think both companies are handling it well. Keep in mind with Halloween the stuff to buy is mostly premium because you have 2 years worth of stuff they’re bringing back. Stuff that when it was first released was freemium. So it’s EA’s way of rewarding players for being around so long. They’ll bring stuff back to new players but they’re going to charge for it…and it makes sense. Especially when players worked hard to earn it for free the previous year. Don’t forget there are 6 Personal prizes and 8 Crafting prizes that can all be achieved via the freemium route during Halloween…plus the Freemium Halloween decorations. And next year if they make a comeback…those prizes will all be premium.
I understand bringing back previous Halloween items for a premium price. I get it. But how about some creative free Halloween items for THIS event?
I understand there are crafting prizes and reward prizes, but really, if you add up the crafting items and the reward items it only adds up to about 3-4 more items then the normal reward category of previous events.
Maybe I’m spoiled with getting new free items every week of an event (and I’m by no means saying it needs to be as much as FGQTFS) making it rewarding for playing daily and weekly.
At least with FGTQFS there’s PLENTY of free items always released during the event (not counting the huge amount of craftable items). Easily 70-30% free-premium. It’s more 50-50% free-premium in TSTO from what I can tell.
Bottom line: If you’re going to re-release previous event items, bring a good bit of new items to the table as well. And I don’t feel like that’s been close to done.
I just have to giggle as a LOT of readers there complain not enough free stuff. Lol.

I will note that I am new to TSTO as of the Stonecutter event, but it sure seems like the game is giving out a lot of donuts during Halloween compared anything I’ve experienced. Donuts for squishing and shooting down UFOs. That mixed with a little bit of patience to save them up – seems pretty good to me.

Way behind today. I live in Ottawa, Canada…..just terrible events today with a soldier shot outside our Parliament Buildings and the situation not yet under control with one gunman dead and a second is still at large. This simple doesn’t happen here…..we’re all in shock. My kids’ school was on lockdown this morning, many friends and family still locked down in their office…. All I can say is, thanks for my long desired Clamphitheatre EA 🙂

Yeah, I’m living in Ottawa now too and it certainly made for an interesting day. I was actually at a police station (don’t ask why) when suddenly they told everyone to go home and that services would be available “later”. I checked my phone and saw what was going on and thought, “geez, the the stupidity of the world is finally coming to Canada”. They interviewed some tourists on Parliament Hill from Germany, Holland, etc. and they all pretty much said the same, that they couldn’t believe this was happening in quaint little Canada 🙁
