King Me: King Homer’s Skyscraper Returns!

Another weekend only offer from EA was released very early this morning…this time King Homer’s Skyscraper is making a comeback!

It’s available for purchase for 250 Donuts and will be leaving Springfield (presumably for good) on Monday 10/27 at 0800 GMT (4am EDT)…so grab it while you can!  (if you want it)

Let’s take a closer look at this black and white decoration and briefly break down some pros and cons of adding it to your Springfield! 

Originally from Halloween 2013…King Homer’s Skyscraper is an animated decoration.  It does not have an tasks associated with it, but King Homer will climb it (and fall) regularly.  Here’s a closer look at the skyscraper with a look back at our posts from last year:

And now let’s take a look at some Pros and Cons of adding it to your Springfield…

Pros:
-From Halloween 2013…so if you didn’t play last year now’s your chance to get it. (Everyone who played last Halloween should have this, as it was the final Community Prize)
-Always animated, and has a fun animation with it.
-Adds some character to your Springfield with it’s unique look, since it’s in Black and White.

Cons:
-No Character and/or tasks associated with it
-No real benefit to this update
-MASSIVE.  In fact a lot of players that have it from last year most likely have it in storage (I know I do).
-Only impacts Vanity, which is the easiest to max out.
-Last year this was free for EVERYONE.  Didn’t matter how hard you played, since this was a Community Prize.  If you played…you won it.
-Insanely Expensive.

Final Thought:
I already own this from last year, and won it for free.  And I can tell you that even if I didn’t have it…I wouldn’t buy it.  It’s outrageously priced for what it does.  And honestly, mine has been in my storage for quite sometime (and I don’t miss it at all).  So my best advice…save your donuts.  This one just isn’t worth it…at least in my opinion.
Of course in the end it’s your decision.  We can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…in this case if I had to buy it, I’d pass.  Just remember whatever you decide make sure you make your FINAL decision before Monday…otherwise it will disappear!
