Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No it’s not time to see what happens if we put Bunny back on the wheel (SPLAT)! Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

I usually just go to Fox’s website and see what’s coming up. Or you can just google it.
If I hoard all my treat bags until the next prize wave, protein strands, will they disappear when the game updates from Ray guns to protein? I’d much rather open treat bags and get protein than Ray guns – I’m done with those prizes and have my eye on alien Mr. Burns!
Last time they did not disappear, so you should be safe 🙂
Ok this has been bugging the heck out of me. Why does Database get a random treat bag? He is ordering it off the internet and has been show to have the skills to hack the entire “world”. Shouldn’t he be able to select exactly what we wants inside his bag?

I know it’s Monday morning now but the clocks went back in the UK yesterday. So now back to GMT as opposed to British Summer Time (GMT+1).
Finally got my first proper weekend off work since moving to Mon-Fri shifts. Can’t say I did anything interesting because I’m still ill so ended up at the emergency doctor’s clinic yesterday morning. Given me plenty of time to catch up on my game though. Especially since I’m about a day and half behind Ray gun collection.
US they’ll set back next weekend (11/2)..now I’ll just have to remember to readjust my times back an hr (and I’ll be looking forward to the 3am item changes instead of 4am! 😉 )

Thanks, I’m sure we’ll get used to the time changes soon. Woke up quite early yesterday because of it. But that was handy because it allowed me to get to the doctors at a reasonable time. It’s a turn up and wait clinic so could have been there far longer than 45 mins if I had got there any later.
That is a plus. I always like when the time goes back because then I’m super early for everything 🙂
I’ve been getting so many donuts from treat bags! As a freemium player it’s awesome to collect them like that. I’d estimate about 20 so far just from this event and I’ve accumulated enough to afford witch Marge!
I’ve had some major visual glitches from my game today. Earlier, my gaggle of White houses were showing as Cool Brown houses. I wouldn’t mind keeping that. And just now, my King Homer Skyscraper (from last year) was invisible. The plane and ape Homer animations are still visible though. Restarting fixed both, but it’s crazy. On a side note, I really want Troy McClure as a character, one of my all time favorites.
??’s abt excess Gummy Bears, Rotten Eggs, Broken Bridges etc.! Will those items be able to be used in 3rd phase for items or possibly “useable as Cash”, for something in game?? Mahalo much… Stepingstair

Anyone know what’s the text that pops up after completing the last task for Kang which is when he is in the brown house. I was tapping too fast and skipped the first pop up and only got to read return October 31.

For people who saved treat bags, do you feel there was adequate payout for that, just curious where you guys are at ray gun wise.
The payout for me was minimal, I only started saving bags for the last couple days before ray guns hit. This time around I’ve been saving bags almost the entire time because I really want the final prize! I am still a bit ahead of schedule for the ray gun prizes: )
Good evening addicts. Im still enjoying the halloween update but I recently found something while browsing my app store. Im not sure if you guys have seen this or if its been posted before but the original TV cartoon family now has a tapped out style game. Thats right, The Flintstones have a mobile game where you have to help Fred rebuild Bedrock. Any way I thought you guys might find that interesting, have a great night all.
I actually downloaded that game. It’s a bit different as the main interface of the game is not a town, but the Flintstone’s house. You’re building up the house but you do get access to the town itself and get to build a store, barney’s house, etc. It looks interesting, but I haven’t really gotten into it… yet.
So this might seem like it’s from left field but, I was thinking about this event. So we’re at war with an invading alien race (a lot of war in TSTO lately, huh?) and we kill them by squishing them. Fair enough. I don’t want to be colonized by extra-terrestrials, so we kill them and take their weapons. My question is: sometimes they drop grem-alien eggs when they are smooshed. We then proceed to collect them and hatch them elsewhere on (mostly) suicide missions. Are we war criminals? It doesn’t affect how I see the game, just a strange question.
I always feel bad when a gremalien egg pops out, makes me think I just squished a pregnant alien
I don’t know about anyone else but Hugo and his walking the pigeon rat task is the best part of the event so far for me. I just love it. Also pretty stoked I got to see his episode earlier today def one of my all time favs.
I’ve been playing the Halloween update since it came out and all it gives me the is the option to send kids trick or treating and open treat bags. Does anybody know if there will be more quests in the future?
All we can do is wait and see.
Does anybody know how to get Rigellian Tribal Hut or Rigellian Queen? I can’t see them anywhere
They are not available til Phase 3.

Watched a few episodes of the marathon after work. Switched over for Walking Dead. No spoilers but what an episode. Wow.
One of my teams won an easy victory, the other lost a close one at the last second (and may have gotten screwed by the refs, I didn’t see it. but heard they did.) My favorite NASCAR driver came thiisssss close to victory. 2 more laps and he would have had it. Ugh.
First day back to work from my vacation. Not a fun day. The managers decided while I was gone to dump a whole lot more onto our plates while cutting hours.
Just finished up that Walking Dead ep over here. Always so intense. And whyyyyyyyy just end it like that? They kill me. Best show on TV IMO
I’m not exactly saying that I miss Clash of Clones, but every once in a while I find myself with an urge to randomly attack another Springfield.
Does anyone think that there will be a Gil special on Donuts this Halloween? I just got a $20 iTunes card and want to pick up Kodos and the Space Mutant but willing to wait since neither will help with earn Ray Guns, DNA Strands or Bags.

I’m almost back to 60 donuts (I’m freemium) and I’m debating between buying the Devil Float, Kearny or saving for Christmas. The float would mean more income (which I need with the crazy new Bonus level up requirements) but I do also want more treat bags. On the other hand, I’m almost at the pumpkin house and it may be best to just save the donuts for Christmas…
The float doesn’t do anything, and it’s a big item to have to place,I have it, but I’d say skip it.
I think I would save for Christmas. That is my favorite holiday!

This is my first time on Sunday’s open Thread and been wanting to share a few things for some time. Thank you Alissa for your work on here. I read all your work. Let’s get starting.
– I love TSTO. I started in March of this year and can’t stop playing. I believe my Springfield have grown fairly quickly but I recently noticed that Iand will become an issue. With all the great content EA bring to the game, size of our Sprinfield shouldn’t be an issue. Storing items should a personal decision and not because the map is to small. The way I see it now, they should at least add 5 rows and 5 colums so everything fit nicely.
– It would be nice if you could leave a message to neighbours. I only accept neighbours who actually have Sprinfield that looks like a town. I wish I could leave them a message to compliment them.
– Here is an idea for EA. Characters from pass event (Number 1, Giuseppe, Clash of clown guy)could be given task that would use building that have no job associated with them (Museum, Community Center, Springfield Pet Store etc) instead of doing the same thing regardless of the task given. Just saying 🙂
– Just for my information. How long did people harvest money to get the Sit & Rotate? Ten millions for me right now would take approx 6 month??? I just dont have the patience to do just that for so long lol
– With that Skyscapper at 250 donuts this week end, I think EA just gave a hint of some of the price we will see for the upcoming Christmas event.

The more you play the easier it becomes to earn money. Also…the more premium items you add the more money you build up (because of the bonus % awarded by some). So for some it comes quickly…and for others not as quickly. I know personally if I sent characters on tasks frequently and collected from my buildings each time the timer ran down I can do about 1 million every week.
Since each level update lowers the prices of previous levels, I think
I will wait for level 47 to start building level 46.
But from what I can tell level 46 seems AWESOME!!!
Remember…level 46 pricing will be the same when level 47 hits. You don’t start to see the drop until 2 levels..(so level 45 will drop with Level 47 hits)
I was so happy to FINALLY reach level 45. I couldn’t wait to see what the little gift at the end of the level would be when BAM! Anew level. 🙁
Ditto. Hit level 45 as the update that added level 46 was downloading to my device. Sigh…. 😉
I hope that at the end of this update ea releases a npc for those little regellians… but probably not. Then again, they did release nerds at the end of clash of clones, so… also, I don’t know if wookie will be hear to read this, but one big star wars fan got a chewbacca iphone 5 case (its fuzzy on the back! EEEE!) And some wookie call ringtones… LOL! Not a big baseball fan… or any other American sport, really… (I’m from Hungary, but have lived in America for 8 years. I’m also fluent in English.) Loving this update! Peace out!

Really cool update this week. Greta Wolfcastle was a real eye opener. She was on 1 episode but goes to show you that tsto has an over abundance of characters to be released. I was checking out the stuff to do or whatever it is and shows the rigellian queen and her cost but not the hut…do you know how much it will be?

Hi Alissa,..has anyone else noticed/commented on the ray gun that appears every now and then at the entrance of KL when you go there? At first I thought it was only with the trick or treaters, but it happened with Homer last night, so I was wondering if it is because they were under attack when I crossed over to KL and the little alien is kabooshterated in the transition. First time I’m seeing it…i think it’s most likely just a glitch on your end..
So long as it is a good glitch, I don’t mind at all! Lol. It is only the one ray gun regardless of how many characters cross over, so I think I will start experimenting with the possessed characters in future to see if that is what is causing it or not…..will let you know my scientific report in full detail, at the end of the lengthy progressing process! Lol
Happened to me as well. Notice if you have a character free then got possessed by the lil green monster, when you go to KL and said character goes to KL, the monster pops and you get the ray guns. BTW got my 2nd 30 donuts free by shooting UFOs. Now I can afford Kearney or even Arnie Pye. Waiting for another 30 donut so I can get Otto and his bus! This update has been good!

Long time no hear…..how are you? Looking forward to a hot summer? We’re coming up to ski season in 4 weeks or so, it’s been rather chilly here the past few days and I’m going to have to tuck my sports car away for the winter in two weeks.
Went away last weekend again and spent time with my family, it’s been tough for everyone but the healing will begin. I’ve ben visiting your town and dropping eggs but I’m sure you’re in bed sleeping when I do.

Oh Val……it is a crazy 103degs F as I sit here writing this at 4pm my time!! That’s 39.6 Celsius. Send me all the snow you can muster, PLEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZEEE!! lol apparently we’re going to have a bit of a heat wave this week!! Week?? Arrrgghhhh! The poor air con is rattling it’s little cylinders off….or whatever it runs on!! Lol. I’d tuck my wee sports car away now too…if I had one…but cos I need more than air con at 60kph!! Lol not sure if you say these strange things…but that just means when you drive at that speed with your windows open, you get cool from the wind coming in.
I have managed to catch a couple of your grems of late, but my wrists have been playing up something chronic, and I’ve not been able to tap as often as I’d like due to the pain, so I have missed so many visits. I do wish EA had thought of this issue when they designed this event, as there are so many of my neighbours I haven’t seen since the start of it, but were regular visitors before, so they MUST still be visiting…we just don’t know it! Just a little note saying so-n-so visited you today would be good. But obviously not enough women in EA to make the necessary design improvements!!! Lol. I’ve been dropping grems in your town as well, but not on a daily basis, I’m afraid…again due to these dang wrists. Still no word on the op unfortunately, but will be by end of year…so I sit and wait.
I am so pleased you have been able to gather together with your family. The healing will have started, but you just won’t be feeling that just yet. It is amazing the capacity of our hearts to love and to grieve….you will all get there in the end, I know it, dear friend.

Hi Juan….have missed you!! Great to see you still get in here. Everyone I have spoken too, who have had the op, say it is immediate relief from the pain so I am so looking forward to that, but the weakness does take much longer to get over with lots of crazy little exercises, like squeezing a little sponge in your fingers, and strange things like that, but the powers that know, say these things work, so I am already practising! Lol
I also pop some grem aliens into your town as well from time to time, but if find I just get up to about thirty eggs, and suddenly everyone visits me, and I run out of eggs in the return visits. But it is such fun chasing down those wee grems. 😉
