Hey there Hoppereenos. The last and Final Phase of the TSTO Halloween Event is upon us and now are sights are set on earning Long Protein Strings. So naturally that means you want some kind of guide or Calendar to help you get an idea of what totals to strive for to help you get the final two Personal Prizes.
Now keep in mind that there are alternate options to getting some of the Personal Prizes BEYOND just earning them by hitting the Long Protein String goals. (As you saw with Phase 1 & 2, they are now available to create in Make A Things. So for those of you that might not make the goal in time, there will be a second chance) . So here is the general breakdown for the Long Protein String Calendar starting the day of launch and ending the night before the TSTO Halloween Event ends (11/12 8GMT).

Do you know what that update that ran this afternoon did? There seem to be a lot of glitches with this phase. The exclamation mark keeps showing on my crafting icon but I don’t have treat bags in it to open. It also doesn’t register on the phase two menu that I won te hover copter even though I did. Very strange.
Glitch/bug fix.
I’ve got the same problem with the copter, even have it available in my craft menu, I daren’t put it in storage in case it vanishes. :/
The exclamation will continue to show even if you don’t have treat bags. This is bc you have SOMETHING that you are able to craft.
One thing yesterday afternoon’s updated did was change the broken gate/fence(#) requirement for the tribal hut to candy corn.
The exclamation mark also indicates there is something you can craft with your craft item inventory.
I’m already up to 1110 long protein strings (Lps). I had saved up bags (had about 40). I don’t think this will be the op hard. EA seems to find a way for us to attain all of the goals if you’re persistent. Play smart and often, and I think we can get all of the prizes. I would have had the queen already if I hadn’t splurged on a second spooky house, but I think I’ll get the queen and her hut.
Ah so that’s why I can still craft a spooky house even after I made one! I’ve been trying to work that out, but it’s a second house, not an upgrade? Cool.
Why don’t Hugo’s ‘residence based’ actions now take him there instead of to the Simpson house?
He only has the one at Spooky House. His actual home IS the Simpsons
Im at 1400 but wouldnt be there if it wasnt for the 100 giftbags i stored and a whole lotta gremling eggs (i know its gremaliens leave me alone :D) sooo this phase is insanely difficult. to me EA royally screwed us with this halloween. And this is the last time im investing my donuts
I saved gift bags and missiles for for 4 days (I hit the 7100 at that point) and so today was a fun opening day – I am at almost 1500 – so far today – looks like we will need to be diligent this event. But I did get the Queen this morning, and was able to craft the hut as well, so that was an awesome turn of events.
My eggs aren’t paying out. I’ve sent out about 50 today and none have given any payback. For instance I put 5 in Other Springfield about 11 hours ago and they’re still running around in there. Friends’ Springfields are doing the same, i.e. nurturing my ickle babies but not letting them die.
OK, no surprise but as soon as I posted this I get a message saying my aliens found 100 protein strings. It must be from friends’ towns because my 5 are still merrily running around Other Springfield. I can’t remember exactly when I dropped my eggs, but I reckon it was about 8 hours ago in friends’ towns (longer in OS).
Didn’t it used to be 4 hours? Was it always longer in OS?
I’m not sure why this didn’t make it through moderation, but can you push it through please? This is still happening nearly 24 hours later and it would be helpful to know if others are seeing the same thing. Thank you.

Any fever is high for me. It’s how I know I’m really sick. I sleep more than a few hours and run a fever.
I’m trying to relax and rest. Just don’t stray too far as I always got my teams back.
I have commented on this issue before. There will be a delay as the system waits to sync up with your neighbor, relay info through the system, then send it back to your town and sync with your game. Give it time to have them come back to you. If it is more than 24 hours, then let EA know.
I can confirm, it takes 24 hours for eggs in Other Springfield to pay out. Was it always like this?

If you visit after you’ve squished their aliens, UFOs will not show up.

I have visited MANY MANY MANY times. Entire event. Multiple test games. ALL had UFOs show up LONG AFTER I tapped out my 90 actions. Even when I stopped and came back later to finish another set. (100 neighbors times multiple games takes time to go through). I tested a straight shot of 100 at once. Broke it up. Etc Etc…ALL same results. UFOs AFTER the 90 actions.
Ambiguity in statement (apparently). While I concur with Bunny that UFOs will appear even after you’ve completed the initial probe/gun/strand-earning 90 actions (or, first thirty friends), I would also say that they don’t appear in towns after you’ve completed all daily actions in that town.
I run my gamut of friends in one shot and have gotten UFOs many, many times after the first thirty, but as soon as I’m done completing all daily actions for all friends that day, UFOs will not show up until the clock resets for the new day.
Odd. I saw them after I finished actions in neighbors too.
I agree with the poster who said that UFO’s show up after your 90 actions, but not once you’ve gone through and tapped all your neighbours for the day. I have NEVER been able to see a single UFO after that point. Ammo usage must wait until the next day. It’s quite important to remember as you get closer to the end of a phase, if you need to use your ammo to push you to the final prizes.

I’m at about 1000 lps and will likely make the ~1240 quota tonight—if actual trick-o-treating and giving out candy does not get too much in the way. Unfortunately, my present total was greatly helped by the 50+ bags I had horded from Phase 2, and opened this morning.
Not sure how this slight momentum will last.
Is it perhaps better to ignore the side-quests for a while and keep Lisa and Millhouse trick or treating? Can we complete the side-quests after the event?
Yes. They will eventually time out if they are linked to the event.
Had a crappy glitch today–evidently if you close out the game in Krustyland so that you reopen in Krustyland (and do some actions in krustyland before heading to your town) the Rigelians don’t load into your main town, so the 50×5 proteins I should have gotten didn’t appear. That’s a lot to be behind on the first day.
But then whatever the crafting glitch error is, I got one Rigelian hut without spending any fences, so I guess it’s good news/bad news.
Just got an update which looks like it fixed the craftables on the Rigellian Hut; it looks like they changed the requirements to 300 Cor, 50 Chocolate and 50 pumpkins. Interesting.
Just wondering if you had to chose between the rigellian queen and the grand pumpkin, what would you chose? I’m so close to the pumpkin but would hold off on it if the rigellian queen is better? Worried that I won’t get both by the time this is over.
Hmmmmm. Tough one. Both are mainly just decorations. Pumpkin has a task with Milhouse Charlie Brown Style.

I stashed alot of bags, missles, and Grems which I unleashed today. Got up to 2200 in the first 12 hours – – I hope that’s enough of a head start to get the final rewards. It seems pretty difficult without some help.
Wait, I thought there wouldn’t be a second chance on these in Make-A-Thing since the event is ending… Does that mean there will still be ways to earn the items needed after the event ends?
No once the event ends they’ll be leaving. What the second chance means is items in the Probe and Ray Gun boxes can be crafted now

The rate is 60 strings per hour or 1440 per day. Add in the treatbags, bombs, grem-alien eggs, and the 90/day from friends and it should be pretty easy to get everything.
LOL – yeah, 1440 a day if you don’t have to sleep or anything! Unless you start this phase with a lot of leftover bags and stuff from the previous phase, this phase is *definitely* not easy for a strictly freemium player.
I had a but if a stash of eggs and treat bags, but his is going to be a struggle……
I’m close to 1800, I had almost 200 brown treat bags, 90 silver bags. I visiting my neighbors this morning dropping 1 egg per neighbor, at 4 hours I had gather 270 proteins from those who didn’t squish. I have 60 eggs left to place tomorrow. I didn’t get doughnut torture machine or helicopter, but hopefully I get U.B.O which is why I saved my bags. Still seems tough, I’m going to set a 4 hour alarm for sleeping hours. Not sure yet what my priorities are for crafting. The Queen will take away the much needed fences for DTD. I’m almost certain I’m not going to build Grand Pumpkin unless UFO shooting nets me incredible gains in items needed. I keep getting bags, booooo! I rather have X amount of candy or doughnuts (to buy treats with!)
Are we collecting protein strings from neighbors? If so mine are not adding up. Is there a glitch?
You should be. 90 Actions. Try waiting until all of your neighbors clocks reset so you have actions available at each one…the start. See if that helps

Would you recommend crafting Rigellian Queen or Spooky House
Spooky House will earn you more Bronze treat bags (1/24hrs) which will contain fences…so then you can craft the queen 🙂

If it’s any further encouragement, the prompt window for building the Rigellian Hut states that Rigellian Huts will generate more Rigellians throughout the day (though the Huts are an 8-hour build and it’s still going for me, so I’m not sure of the frequency, i.e. 6 Rigellians per 8 hours is the Portal’s frequency, the Huts are X per Yhrs where I guess I’ll find out the values of X and Y shortly).
I pushed through and built the Queen and one of the huts. Unfortunately the hut only generates 3 Rigellians every 24 hours.
I have to wonder if, after the ease with which the CoC prizes were won, EA went too far in the other direction, making it nearly impossible for the normal / non-premium / daily-but-casual player to succeed.
Give them feedback.

I’m with you on that one, I’m on 850 with all neighbours visited. I might get one more treat bag run in before bed but I’ll never get enough to catch up with the calendar and I’m only a half day behind due to bad Internet 🙁
I would have gotten the copter if I could have stayed up until 11:00 last night but I got real drowsy so I just paid the 5 donuts instead.
I still haven’t gotten the 30 donuts yet just SILVER bags :(.
Tough to get 1241 per day when this gets going even with the stock up of gift bags and eggs and such. Starting off ahead of the game but unless some trick comes out to bump things up, this does not seem very attainable without the aide of donuts.

Lookslike we get 5 LPS per alien so 250 aliens a day….. This seems slower rate than phase 2 and just about doable without doughnuts.
I won the Hover copter last night with about an hour left in the challenge. Today I still have it but its also an item I can craft. I thought you could only craft itwms you didnt win? Also my candy bag icon has a permanent ! showing. Are these glitches?

I think i’m not playing enough or something. I’m loggin in, about every 5. hour, i saved treat bags for this event, i keep sending the kids trick or treating and visiting ALL my neighbours. But i’m still only at 900 right now. I know the day isn’t over, but i don’t have 30 treat bags extra for tomorrow….

For me…I like the design element of the pumpkin house.
8 hours in and I’ve already got more than 1,300. Managed to have 90 treat-bags stashed, 15 bombs, 60+ grem-alien eggs, and held off 29 of yesterdays friend visits, so that I could visit 59 today. Hoping I can hit the third treat-bag mini prize by the 24 hour mark.
That’s good, I’m at 1240 now, I had 23 bags stored, 30 gremaliens and 5 bombs. Still have a while left on first day so I’ll be a lil ahead after this.
