Now keep in mind that there are alternate options to getting some of the Personal Prizes BEYOND just earning them by hitting the Long Protein String goals. (As you saw with Phase 1 & 2, they are now available to create in Make A Things. So for those of you that might not make the goal in time, there will be a second chance) . I saved all my gremalien eggs and most treat bags and all ammo from last phase, but I’m still only right on time on the calendar. There is no way I will make it, which is disappointing 🙁 I don’t have internet access for ten hours or so every day (at work + commute to and from) and don’t play while I’m asleep either, obviously. I’m starting to wonder if I should set my alarm in the middle of the night so that I can wake up, squish aliens, go back to sleep. Still, I probably would only end up a bit worse off than people who get access to the game during the day.
I’m hoping the huts will help but I’m still trying to figure out if they’re worth it. Don’t want to get a bunch if my treats would be better spent elsewhere.
I woke up this Morning with no Rigellians in my Town 🙁 anyone else has this issue? 🙁

That happens to me every few days, but going to Krustyland and coming back fixes it.
As of right now, I’m at 3443 which is almost 1000 ahead of the rate on the calendar. What I’ve been doing is setting all but the kids on 4-hour tasks so it’s like an alarm clock to come back and resquish the aliens. I am worried about the rate when I go to work on Monday because I play this game on an iPod touch and my store has no wifi. I’m thinking about installing the game on my android phone so o can play on that as well. If I could play the game on multiple devices like the Family Guy game, then I should be fine.
You can definitely play on more than one device, I have done it in the past. However you should probably know that I mostly play on an Android phone, and it’s one of the apps that doesn’t let me play on mobile data, it requires wifi. Not sure if it’s the same for all phone but it’s true of mine.
I can play it in my phone with mobile data (nexus 4)…
My game works on mobile for my android. If it didn’t I’d be in big trouble especially on weekends when out and about and it’s squishing time. Maybe call your cell carrier or talk to a phone guru about your device settings and limitations?
My phone carrier sucks -_-‘ I get no reception at home (haven’t in the 4 years I’ve lived here) so I need to go stand in the street if I want to make a call, and at my former job I had no reception either. Now I have reception but no mobile data.
I’m paying 100 a month for pretty much nothing at all, it’s ridiculous. I’ve been trying to switch phones for a while but I want to keep my number and my current carrier is giving me trouble about that. I also need to unlock my phone because I want to switch to pay as you go.
Anyway, none of this has anything to do with the game! If I could get mobile data it probably wouldn’t make a difference though because we’re not allowed to have our phones on at my current work except during our breaks.
I’m still on target but I worry that because I had saved so much stuff from the previous stage, I’ll stop being on target by the end of the even and miss out on the shiny (rather literally) prize.
I go to local coffee shops and places with free wifi when I am in areas with none.
I am really wanting the Mr Burns UBO, and i’m have almost 3000 but when i go into my friend’s towns, it’s no longer giving them to me when i squish the regallians!! What’s happening?? I was getting them yesterday! All I get is FP, XP and cash…. Any ideas??

… you know, I take that back. I was looking at Sunday’s totals. I think I am OK. but not great. I think hoarding bags until yesterday has kept me up. We will see how it goes.

I saved up around 200 eggs and have been planting them on anyone who is not active like 10 at a time. Otherwise it’s OCD popping every 4 hours.
Crafting side I’m behind though. Sigh this event is too long for me, keeping me too busy from booming my town for General Hospital 🙁
200 EGGS! SAVED! I might have gotten 200 eggs total so far. Hmmm. Just goes to show the vagaries of probabilities. Still, no complaints for me. With 6ish hours left in the day I am 630 up on the daily target. I DO have a couple premium kids T-o-Ting, but other than that, just playing Freemium.
Im at above 3000 and got the queen and the hut. I had no patience and used 20 donuts to speed them up. Im saving for a second hut now cant wait for the UBO!

What do you guys think?! Should I craft 2 Rigellian huts or wait a couple days to see what else is available? My first one isn’t crafted yet. I had that infinte face glitch with the Ray guns (it happened on comic book guy…all I know is I was putting pretty much everyone on 12/24 hour quests..I THINK I had comic book guy doing cosplay at the time…(It happened completely on accident by the way..it was a wtf moment…) Anyway, I was clearing my town before bed, he was under attack, I clicked the rigellian off of his face then I saw another one attack…that was the wtf moment…I thought it was just another rigellian….nope…kept clicking and respawning…I was able to get ahead.(I even exited the game, came back, went through updates..still glitch….not now though….it stopped with the LPS)..thought I’d share that with you all..but what do you guys think….I don’t have the glitch anymore…gotta work all day…don’t think I’ll make this one, will 2 Orwellian huts be worth it or a waste? It all depends on what YOU want in your town once event is over.
I have 3 built, and they are going to give me 9 rigellians a day! (total, not each). That’s going to help me get the final prize! (sarcasm intended).
On the other hand, is there a max level on the Weapon Upgrade? I am currently on 17.

Yeah I don’t know if I should get a second Spooky House and second Pumpkin House, or go for the huts and walls instead. I should qualify tomorrow. I’m a offended by the paltry 3 Rigellian hut reward so I’m leaning towards Pumpkin and Spooky House. The wall xp is a bit meh. With a bit of luck the houses will pay out next year too, (assuming I’m still tappin). Just want to be sure nothing else is available to craft.
with the 3 phases thing EA has done something interesting, as before i used to get bored of the event specially that i used to manage to obtain all the gifts long before the event expiry date, but now i am feeling for the first time that i have to calculate my moves and taps precisely in order to obtain all the gifts since i am a fermium player.
my wife laughed at me when i sat my alarm clock at 8 am on this last Friday (it is our weekend in my country) cause i told her that i still have some few ray guns remaining to collect in order to obtain the hover copter before the timer runs out 😀
but i wished they changed also the way we squash those aliens with each phase since they did similar thing in the halloween even before (with the single tap, the vacuam and the bomb), and also i wish they can do like Family guy, they could add some tasks to kill or hunt the aliens with Springfield characters
I’m over 3,000 I’ve finished the last 2 phases with days to spare, this should be more of the same. Already crafted the queen and the hut as well, guess I’ll be crafting walls from here on out simply for the bonus.
How do you get so far ahead? I could not get enough for phase 1, barely made phase 2, and still haven’t managed to craft the great pumpkin, donut torture device or the rigellian queen or hut.
Can someone really get all the prizes if they only check their towns at lets say before work, after work and before bed? It seems like this is only easy for those who are checking evey 4-6hrs. I have yet to get the final prize in any quests and haven’t been fortunate for any glitches. And it seems like I’m not getting as many bags as other people seem to have (even though I have every kid on none stop trick or treating)….which mean I’m not getting much candy for crafting items.

I woke up this morning to an empty town – no little rigellians to squish. They do seem to be spawning now (I’ve had a few show up since then), but I’m out at least 250 LPSs 🙁
If you go off of *just* squishing the aliens in your town, you’d have to come back every 4 hours in order to get the last prize. For example, at:
7:00am- squish aliens & collect/send trick or treaters.
11:00am- squish aliens
3:00pm- squish aliens & collect/send trick or treaters.
7:00pm- squish aliens
11:00pm- squish aliens & collect/send trick or treaters.
And ideally squish any remaining right before you go to bed, upto midnight.
If you do this everyday (wake up at 7, squish aliens every 3.5-4 hours, and squish up until midnight), you’ll get a total of 21 hours of alien squishing coverage. 7am-midnight= 17hrs. + 4 hours the aliens continue to regenerate while you sleep = 21 hours.
So, since the aliens respawn every 5 minutes, and they are worth 5 dna strands per squish, that means you are getting 1 dna strand per minute within that 21 hours. So 21 hours x 60 mins per hour = 1260 DNA strands you can earn in a day by using this schedule. This is number is based solely off squishing aliens.
So, yes it’s possible to do, but unfortunately you HAVE to visit multiple times a day unless you make up for the extra dna strands somewhere else (like treat bags, grem-alien eggs, rockets, etc)
If my math is off, I’m sorry. I just wanted to share to give some freemiuim players hope that it IS possible, you just have to play regularly. I’m currently at 3000 because I comeback to my town every few hours for a few minutes and continute going about my day. (I also saved up treat bags and alien eggs…) But it is possible!!!
Well, I guess I’m out of luck then, because I can’t get up as early as 7 and I can’t play as late as 11. I generally can “only” play from about 8:30am to 10:00pm, which means only 2 trick-or-treat rounds. I do play fairly constantly during that time frame and I think that should be enough dedication to earn all of the basic stuff. (I did very well with CoC!). So far, with this event, I have managed to earn all of the “squish-based” prizes (although it looks doubtful I’ll make it to UBO), but, of the big crafting items, I’ve only been able to do Hugo and a Spooky House so far.
The problem is I can’t go back at 11am or 3pm. So it seems likes it’s impossible to get the final prizes for me.
Hi do you think I should craft the rigellian tribal hut or the grand pumpkin? I had like 340 chocolate bars and they have always been few and far between. Help!!! 😊

Now I’m wondering wether to craft the Grand Pumpkin now or collect more candy for the DTD. The big pumpkin unlocks the pumpkin house, but I have that from last year, does it do anything else much? I need a grand pumpkin versus dtd plan! lol

I have a big issue with collecting the protein strings. Yesterday i noticed that i don’t get the extra 30 rigellians after I have squished the first 50. I have waited, went to visit friends, gone to krustyland and they still don’t pop up. Is it some sort of glitch? I can see that it doesn’t matter if i visit all my friends and go in the game every 6 hours – I still wont be able to collect enough to get the UBO. Help please…

Oops – never mind! I only see *1* but it’s adding on 5 strings each time. I’ve managed to get a little over 2,000 strings today, but that was starting out with about 150 hoarded bags… 😁
Wow, I’ve seen it mentioned in a couple different places here that we’re supposed to be getting 5 LPS per squish?? Yikes, I’m not getting that at all – did I miss something? I’m only seeing 1 per squish. I’m all updated & got the little update earlier today. I play on an iPad Air…
Let me ask you this…are you referring to the NEIGHBOR Rigellians? Or are you looking at the ones you squish in your town?
NEIGHBORS remain and 1 each for 90 actions unless you bought the license. In YOUR Springfield, they will yield 5
So even though I got the copter in my town from the last phase my check list for phase two is saying I only won the first big prize and the copter is craftable in my shop… I’m assuming this is a glitch they’ll work out but has anyone else noticed this?

I did notice that they cut back on the number of DNA strands you get from neighbors to 1 each squish (2 if you got the license) and that if you squish the gremlins it’s also only 1 as well as 1 each for every one in the bags, so your hope is in the 5 per squish in your home town and the 50 strand prize for shooting down saucers in neighbors towns. I am up to about 1700 in the first day but will be interested to see what my average is going to be because I saved bags carried over from last round (13 bags total) and was in the game at 4:30am this morning to get a jump. As long as I can keep the average on the calendar with my head start, I may be able to snag the final prize, but the average casual player may have a bit of trouble getting it.
It was ALWAYS 1 per squish. 2 with license. It was also always one per each for the bags, but you usually get a total of 3 in them. The Gremlins are more than one each as well. It all depends on if your neighbor taps it or not.
I notice the gremlins are now back to 2 per squish. Must’ve been fixed with the glitch patch. Had thought the gift bags gave 2. Ah well, guess I wasn’t paying attention to it throught the first two waves;)
At 5 strands per alien, 12 aliens per hour, and 24 hours per day you yield 1,440 strands. Add 90/180 for friends visits depending on if you have the hunting license will yield 1,530/1,620.
Six hours of sleep gets you 1,170/1,260.
If you take out 8 hours to sleep, you still get 1,050/1,140 with time to catch up on weekends.
I’m puzzled, I have just over 900 strings and I’m not sure how we can get 1242 daily! I do work, off weekends but I do play quite often and have collected all prizes on previous phases before it jumped to next but this 1242 daily has me scratching my head…..
Yeah, I’m looking at my totals across my three games (premium, freemium + friends, and freemium no friends) and despite having saved treat bags, grem-aliens, and ammo since this past Monday, only the premium game looks like I’ll earn enough to stay at the 1242 pace.
The freemium “B-game” only has 1203 strings right now, and the fremium+no friends “C-game” only has around 900 or so.
250 aliens a day…….?
So I’ve had a wonderful error (that I’m in no hurry to fix). Just before the protein roll-over one of my characters was attacked as I was clearing a rigellian from their face. The new one attached, got popped, and reappeared. Now it won’t go away, no matter what. I can pop it ~every two seconds, it drops eggs and bags and whatever else just like normal.

😔 Despite starting with some leftover treat bags from the last phase and winning three bags more with ammo leftover from the last phase and playing pretty much non-stop for about 12 hours today (including visiting all friends, etc.), this is the first day that I’ve failed to make the target number on the calendar. Therefore, it looks likely that a purely freemium player is unlikely to make it to the UBO without a lot of luck (i.e., pure persistence isn’t enough). Very disappointed…. I guess I was spoiled by the CoC event, which was my first and made it fairly easy to get everything, as long as you played diligently.
I am a freemium player and while I had about 20 eggs and 30 or so bags to work with at the start of this phase I managed to get about 200 LPS ahead of the calender. I also got 87 friend taps (two missiles shot down with just treat bags in them, and it seems I only get 89 taps total in friend towns where LPS drop) I pulled this off actively playing through out the day for maybe 2-4 hours total due to the holiday.
Just to balance out a little the negative posts I’ve been making lately about my frustrations with the difficulty level of this event and some of the underwhelming prizes, I will say that one really cool thing about the event is the free donuts I’ve won from the UFOs…I think I’ve collected about 90 or 120 free donuts from that so far, which is really great! (Plus I think of won maybe another 4 or so from treat bags.) 🍩😀🍩😀🍩
I’m a bit confused. Two queries here:
1) As of last night I was 50 Ray guns away from getting the final prize (hovercraft I think?), and saw that the next phase would hit at 8:00am the next day. It asked me for 10 doughnuts to get it straight away but I set my alarm for 8 and planned to get the Ray guns in the morning. Woke up at quarter to 8 and the game had moved on to LPS, even though it was still displaying 15 minutes on the countdown. Is this a glitch or has this happened to others. Just annoyed that it now wants 340 doughnuts to craft instantly. As a completely freemium player that is just wishful thinking.
2) Not sure why this is working, but there is another glitch where I squish the rigellians for the LPS, and then when I exit the game, but leave it running in the background, I can re-enter my world that has not got rid of the rigellians, but I still keep the LPS collected. This effectively means that for the duration of the day I have had and endless supply of rigellians to squish, and I currently have around the 4500 mark for LPS. I hope the glitch remains for the whole event, but I just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this, or if anyone can tell me why?

While the bag hoarding doesn’t hurt, EA made it so the premium way to collect phase 3 protein strands is squishing aliens. At 5 strands a piece on the squish, the treat bags will represent a far lower percentage of total strands collected.
Has there been any explanation as to why there’s a sudden leap in the number of ‘items’ you need to go from the last treat bag to the final prize? It’s been the same for the first two as it is for this. A nice gentle slope for most of the prizes and then a big exponential leap for the last one. I did notice there’s a bigger space before the Diet sign too.
I’ve noticed a two-eyed Rigellian (big one, not little) in a few of my neighbours’ places. Do you know what this is?

Was there a glitch where LPS were not being awarded in multiples of 5? Until the update today, I had totals not ending in 0 or 5. I think I was rounded up at one point but I have no way to tell if I am missing any or not.
It will vary on ones you win in Treat Bags too. Those can throw your numbers off.

Great Galactic Glitch Batman! – I woke up at 5:30am this morning and got my 90 actions with DNA and then in the afternoon finished off the rest of my neighbors to be surprised that I got a whole bunch more actions from neighbors with DNA payouts! Coolio. Anyone else see that happening?
Between that, my 300 saved bags and the 25 ammo from said bags…I’m at 1700 DNA and should be around 2000 by end of day. It’ll be interesting what a normal day of collecting DNA will look like.
I have been reading the strategies for a bit but haven’t seen someone mention this: Focus your grem-alien eggs on the neighbors that aren’t active
I scroll down to the bottom of my neighbor leaderboard and note who is at the bottom. Then compare that to the neighbor list (handshake icon) and see how long it has been since they logged on. If they haven’t logged on in a day or more…load em up…chances are that it’ll be another 4 hours before they check again and you get your full 4-DNA value.
I know that this goes against the “help your neighbor out” strategy but that can come into play after I get the UBO. Anyone else working it this way?
Right on. Been doing it since the first week. The lower the probe/raygun/strand count the more aliens in dropping. Helps a neighbor who’s behind catch up too. Win-win.
I’ve been doing this as well. I feel extremely fortunate that I have a neighbor that updated and hasn’t been playing since the THOH update. It helps my numbers so much. I’m able to get 240 LPS/day from one person (as long as I have the grem-aliens.)
Depends on your friends. I have several friends that drop eggs in droves in reciprocity. While I may only be able to drop one or two on them, they’ll drop the full ten-max in return. The four probes/guns/strands I get from them squishing mine, and the twenty I get from squishing theirs far outweighs the eight I would’ve gotten dropping my two eggs on an inactive friend…
I have two friends that seem to not be actively tapping the grem-aliens so with me being able to drop 6+ of them every 4 hours is really help me get caught up.
I drop them in my sister’s town when I know she’s at school 😉 a little evil but I let he drop on me before bed so she can get a larger payout by morning without me squishing them!
