Hey there Hoppereenos. Bouncing on by to give you all a quick update on the Mutant Rabbit and the locked task.
So according to the task itself, all that we needed was …well…TODAY! So we waited and waited to see what would happen. Nothing at Midnight. The normal 8GMT hit and nothing happened. Most of the day has passed and it still has not unlocked. I looked and looked and still no changes that I can see.
I contacted some reps at EA, the reps available are in the same boat. No one seems to understand as to why the task is still showing as locked. I contacted an alternate source and am still waiting to see if they can get back to me (they’re on vacation). If I have any further information on it, I will update it here. For now…we wait. See if 8GMT 11/11 it actually unlocks. Or if Midnight at EA (PDT) it shows differently. Only time will tell. Lol.
UPDATE: Looks like AFTER Midnight 11/11 was the winner. Lol. The Should I Post has been updated with the task info.

Good News Somebody, The Rabbits Are Mutating!!!!!
I just checked into my game around 3:15 AM EST, November 11, 2014 and it was unlocked! Actually, I was greeted with dialogue from Lisa and Bart about it and quest task to mutate. So I went ahead and selected the task. I had kept the Mutant Rabbit free of its other task all day of November 10th in anticipation of this task unlocking. So whatever multiples I had after multiplying the day before with its other 12 hour task were gone. It was just this single Mutant Rabbit mutating into the Bart-Gremlin like creature seen in the crossover episode. It just walks around Springfield, not doing anything else.
That’s it?
I can’t believe I spent 70 donuts on this!… Really? Is there a way to mutate multiple rabbits after it multiplies perhaps? I don’t know, I’ll try that next.
I was pressured into buying it because it was a limited item until Sunday. So I took a chance and bought it in hopes that perhaps it will do something cool and I didn’t want to miss out on having it. It looks like EA got the last laugh. Oh well.
Report it to them. Ask for your donuts back if you don’t like it. See what they say. Lol.
Nah… I took a chance buying it for 75 donuts without knowing all of what it did. I’ll have to live with the outcome of the gamble. I really was expecting more than it just walking around town for hours for that price.

LOL! I guess it was midnight after all! Bart & Lisa introduce the task, but you don’t need to have them free – they’re still trick or treating in my town. But they still unlocked it!

Thanks so much for your update Bunny. I don’t know, in a way this almost makes this whole mutant bunny thing a bit more interesting if you ask me! 🙂 I can’t wait to see what happens now. I agree with another tapper; I wouldn’t be at all surprised if someone at EA simply got the date wrong & it’s not really supposed to happen until the end of the whole event. It’s almost midnight tho’ here on ‘EA’s time’ so I’m waiting to see if anything happens. But I won’t be surprised if it takes to the end of this event for it to work.
Well it is here now. That ol GMT time zone…someone put it one day too soon. Lol
I have all of my other characters doing tasks while I wait for it to unlock. Meanwhile, in the character selection box in the corner, instead of it showing the bunny, it keeps showing photos of random characters (the ones that don’t have playable tasks), and other times it shows what another character is currently doing. Lol. I saw it. Mine switced out to many various images from characters walking around. Made me giggle.
Well mutation is a long process over time it is quite complex endeavour one that some say is contradaevinecreation….not like some tech fell asleep

Maybe in 3h (8 GMT on the 12th) when the 11th has game-technically passed. Or maybe we’ll get an in-game update taking the rabbit off the store and enabling the mutation task. Or maybe it’s just a glitch… 😉
And indeed, just at that time Lisa caused a quest to trigger. Too bad that my rabbits need 9h to finish their current multiplication task… 😉
Requires Nov. 10 ! My Mutant Rabbit, named, Lickety Splitt is doing his 8 hr job as of right now, almost 1:45 a.m. , Pacific Standard Time! Started here at Midnite, so almost 2 hrs! I was pleasantly surprised to see him Unlocked!! Lickety Splitt is in the “job” section with his Big Ears and a little Blue Clock with him on the left hand side with the others who have “Special” jobs to do!! Happy Tappin’.. stepingstair. :).
I bought the bunny in both my towns, thinking it was needed to complete the Matt taskline. as I got that impression from the dialogue popup. Blew nearly all my donuts in my freemium B Town; So I’m really not impressed at all!
I don’t mean to hijack the thread but I’m done with the Halloween event and have enough stuff to craft ONE more thing. What is the best thing to craft before the event is over? I don’t think I can craft the helicopter but after tomorrow, I may get enough for it.
By the way, I already have at least one of everything so I don’t “need” anything.
Ultimately up to you. I’m hoping to earn one more Rigellian hut but that’s just because I like the way they look.
Wookiee you’re back!! 😄 and I’m hoping for the same love those huts but not nearly enough candy corn (however I have 1000+ useless gummy bears 😒) oh well I already have four so I guess that’s enough.

They only hop around during the task. If you like it, keep having the bunny multiply.
So I was perusing the ea forum and came across text from a chat with EA and a tapper. The answer the tapper received when asking why the task had not unlocked was…”I would like to inform you that nov 10 requirement is a graphical error the requirement is not settled by the studios at the time”…Answer to when it will be unlocked…”At the time there are no assured information on the release of the task but stay tunes it will be updated soon”

They wouldn’t as there isn’t enough time between now and Christmas to fit in another event.
That’s why the thanksgiving event is always small.

My guess is they have the date wrong behind the curtain. The THO mod set to end in less than 48 hours, that makes the most sense.

I agree with you. I was afraid this disappointment might come. Kept hoping they would add a Futurama destination (like Krustyland). I think lots were hoping for it too. I would have put money into that. At very least a couple of characters. Very sad.

EA should definetely compensate tappers who bought this, was on the fence about it from the start. But saw the episode and caved in a bought it… Kinda disappointing that it hasn’t unlocked yet
