Christmas in Springfield has come and gone! But Winter is still sticking around! And with the couple of new Winter premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Stupid Sexy Flanders and the Ski Lift to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding Bunny Hill to your Springfield.
Well….unless you’ve been partying a little too hard you know that Elves have taken over Springfield! Elves work hard and party even harder…so much so that even Santa bailed on Springfield! It’s your job to contain the Elves and send them back to the North Pole. In doing so you’ll earn Elf Bells..which will give you some awesome prizes!
With this event EA is repeating a similar prize structure to what they did for Halloween, only more prizes, and releasing the event (and prizes) in stages. For the second phase, which lasts until the event ends (Jan 14th), you can win 8 prizes by collecting Elf Bells. The second prize awarded at 1,700 Bells is the Cannon Control Building.
Let’s take a closer look at this building and just what happens when it enters your town…
Seems Santa got in a lil TOO much “Egg Nog” for the holidays (probably didn’t help he ate a few too many brownies in Colorado too.) So it seems that his Santa Sack is not quite empty. OH NO!!! Leftover Gifts???!!!
Welcome to the Wednesday Edition of What’s In Santa’s Sack??!

Bouncing by for some quick updates on two questions we keep seeing over and over (we did post about them already). Sideshow You & Kwik-E-Mart.
Neither building is working the way it did normally. So to put these in one spot and help direct players to this one location instead of the multiple posts, here again is the information…
KWIK-E-MART
Kwik E Mart stopped paying rent when the Christmas 2014 Event started. You can ONLY use the Scratch-R feature right now. A call to EA will give you the run around. It is very specifically noted when I looked (and still noted as of this post) that they INTENTIONALLY disabled this feature. I will not go into more details then that. In other words, there may be an issue they found while testing the Event with this or a conflict with the game causing problems during the Event for it. Either way, don’t expect to collect any money on it until EA is able to put the function back. We will update you if/when that happens.
SIDESHOW YOU
Sideshow You in Krustyland stopped allowing the ability to Pop Balloons. There is a link we have been sending everyone to in the EA Forums, but I want everyone to see this comment specifically (thanks burghbaby)…
Short story long, BOTH buildings are disabled and will continue to be disabled until at least after the Christmas 2014 Event is over. So please do not worry about troubleshooting these two items. Your game is not broke. Contacting EA won’t really do much other than them tell you it is a “known issue”, but reach out to them if you really feel you have to.
Feel free to continue reporting it on the forums too if you’d like, otherwise…just sit tight until EA figures out just what exactly there are going to do with these two buildings to get them functioning again. Either way, we will let you know once a change happens. 🙂

Bouncings by with a breakdown of the Elf Cannon and it’s upgrades you can make once you have won 1700 Bells, awarded the Cannon Control Building, and placed it in your town.

Welcome to the Tuesday Edition of What’s In Santa’s Sack??!
Today, we want to know… Chocolate? White, Milk, or Dark?
Looks like Phase 2 of the TSTO Christmas 2014 Event has brought back another favorite of mine (though minus SEEING the electrocution I giggled so much at). This is in the form of the Elf Bottler.
