Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No it’s not time to stuff the turkey…that’s next week! Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

We said goodbye to Halloween and Hello to Level 47, as it hit our devices last week. What are your thoughts on the new level? Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, will a Thanksgiving update be rapidly approaching too? What do you think we’ll see? Hey everyone, I think you’ll get a laugh out of this. Yesterday morning when I woke up I was in the middle of a dream that I was playing my TSTO game and that they finally updated with the release of…the monorail! When I logged into my game there was this picture of a huge entrance to a rail station, but it was all in stone and had three tiers of stairs and looked more like an entrance to a train station in Paris, but it was awesome. When I was in my game it automatically was playing the monorail song. In my dream I even saw the build box and there were three different build tabs. 0ne for the monorail land extensions, the rail section purchases, and then pieces to “build the monorail train.”
It. Was. Awesome!
I am seriously not sure if I was telepathically linked to someone at EA, experiencing a glitch in the matrix, in a Vulcan mind meld, or if a witch or wizard was invading my thoughts. I have no idea. Maybe I’m a really dream psychic and in such a case I’ll have to say this… Sorry for the Spoiler Alert!

I’ve seen some Springfields with Cletus’ kids and wife. How do I get my greedy little tapping fingers on these characters?
They were released last Valentine’s day as premium characters. Well Brandine was the premium character…then she had a task to birth another spuckler. It’s a 90 day task and at the end one of the spuckler kids appears (up to 3 of them). The kids don’t have tasks…they just earn money for you…similar to the visitors in Krustyland

Actually in the storyline it explains why her births take 1/3 of the time.
There shouldn’t be a Thanksgiving update because it isn’t technically Thanksgiving everywhere…Just in USA
Remember…Springfield is in the US. So it goes around US holidays (like 4th of July and Thanksgiving)…that the Simpsons would celebrate. (there’s also always been a Thanksgiving update..)
Well my Roughriders lost the semifinals today (Canadian football) so that ends another season for me.
Is there any indication or hints of a short thanksgiving event this year? I passed on the casino last year and really wished I hadn’t. I’m hoping it makes a return in the coyple weeks.
My guess is this week we’ll see it…

I’m just curious.. Do you guys spend a lot of money to get the buildings/characters that cost doughnuts? Any tips or tricks to get doughnuts rather than paying real money to get the premium items? Thanks in advance,

Max out your friend points (or Frink Points) and you will collect a few donuts during friend visits. (If you need more friends, click the link at the start of the thread where it says no add me requests, then click on xx Comments where xx is the current number of comments in that thread.)
I play strictly freemium (i.e. I don’t buy donuts) but would buy them if EA ever releases something I really, really want and I don’t have enough donuts for it. So far, the closest they came was when they re-released Witch-Marge, but I had enough donuts, so didn’t have to buy any.
I updated my game and halloween is gone, except for the trees. Is this a glitch or is it supposed to be like this still?
The trees are seasonal. Just look outside. 😉
Did the trees stay in fall colours after the Halloween update was over last year, though? I don’t remember that happening. Not that I’m complaining, though – I love the fall colours. I hope they’ll do a similar thing after the Christmas update is over this year and let the snow (and with it, the snowmen and ice statues) hang around for another month or two.

From the looks of their delays and over use of Halloween, since they are so late and continuously random at updates I don’t expect another update at all this month.
There was a short Thanksgiving event last year…should happen late this week if patterns hold true…

Walking Dead was good, but a little slow. Looks like next week should be a good episode.

Your team is killing it…The Patriots have been on quite the winning streak. The Saints blew it AGAIN, at home no less! However, and amazingly so, we are tied for the NFC south division lead…but only because the Falcons don’t look so hot either…4 wins, 6 losses, pitiful!!!
So, are you guys excited for Smash Wii U? I know I am, and I will likely be maining Pikachu. My only problem is that Smash comes out the same day as pokemon Omega Ruby, and I’m probably going to get that first. Anybody else annoyed at Nintendo for releasing ORAS and Smash the same day?
Is there an interaction task between the French waiter and Freddy Quimby on the pronunciation of chowder? That is my favorite bit from that episode, which I rewatched yesterday after seeing the update. :D. Any news in the game files on when the thanksgiving update will hit? Hi Julie….been thinking of you and left a post on the last Sunday feed but wasn’t sure you’d catch it. Your surgery date Is coming soon, sending my good wishes your way and a speedy recovery. We’re visitng our kids and grand babies that live 10 hours from us and it’s been so nice getting those baby smiles and hugs. Going home on Wednesday, we have snow at home and the mountain is looking good for the upcoming ski season.
Take care and like you I’ve always wondered why us Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in October and the Americans in November so close to Christmas…..hmmmmm.

Being a Canadian I can speak for our early Thanksgiving being due to it being colder than the US. Thanksgiving is after the harvest and for us its in October and the US in November. Living outside Toronto, today was the first snow accumulation and its not even that cold where I live (by Canadian standards).
Thank you Pasteysquirrel for that information. Being an Aussie, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, and what’s this about it not being cold there yet?? We are going thru a massive heat wave at present and yesterday we had a ‘feels like’ temp reported of 48 degs Celsius so I imagine your ‘not even cold’ would be a wonderful breath of fresh air! Lol

Sacagewa Lisa, Tribal Chief & maybe Tom Turkey will be available hopefully for Thansgiving. Would be cool if we get a skin for Monty and a quest “Happy Pranksgiving” from that holiday episode. I can even see this Xmas getting the mall security guard who caught Bart stealing and finally get a task for the shopping mall.
If memory serves, I believe Bart got caught stealing from the Try n Save.

Hi all, love the site! Just wanted to see if there was a chance of some sort of poll to see the most requested new items or returning items? I’ve been playing for a couple years now, but not long enough to get the Mapple store or Springfeild Falls. Those would be my votes for returning to spend my sprinkles on. As for new, it’d be cool to have the little league ball park or the football stadium. Also the aquarium and Bart’s big brother would be cool. thoughts?

It’s from the season 6 episode where Marge reveals she has a fear of flying. Homer gets banned from Moes, and goes looking for a bar. After going through different bars [even one that is an homage to where everybody knows your name ;)] he finally ends up at the little black box
I would like to see more park/playground rides. ie. springy animal, slides, and merry-go-round. Also would be nice to be able to move the clash of clones items into Krustyland.
You can move some CoC items (banners, statue of Homer, hot-air balloon) to KL.
Its just a little thing but the dollar sign over the quimby compound seems too high. It interferes with anything behind it no matter where I put it.
Don’t let your kids play with your Springfield. Sure letting them move some stuff around and click on all the characters is Uber fun but once they spam the boom boom let’s clear all of Springfield button and you have to rebuild and remodel. … that isn’t as much fun. Man, that button is so not childproof. … even though it kinda is. 🙁
Kids have an amazing ability to spend donuts to speed up brown houses, too! 🙁
I know the max on origin friends is 100 and Facebook friends are separate but how exactlydo I add Facebook friends

Is it just me or did the courthouse get bigger?
Greetings all and happy Sunday. I’d like to use this forum to float some suggestions for the game and see what everybody else thinks.
1) EA should turn on confirm donut spend for every player. There shouldn’t even be an option to turn it off. I can’t count how many times I’ve clicked on something by accident that I didn’t mean to click, including things that spend donuts. I keep my confirm donut spend option turned on, and still managed to speed up a brown house once recently. This takes us to the next suggestion.
2) In lieu of a confirm donut spend option, there should instead be an option in the menu that allows players to remove the speed-up choice from buildings and characters. Some players want to use donuts only for buying things, not speeding up the generation of cash from buildings, etc.
3) As mentioned previously, during events, the spending of event currency needs to be confirmed. Everyone who accidentally bought a gold treat bag or some other minor crafting prize during the Halloween event, please speak up now!
4) If I am visiting a neighbor’s KrustyLand, and click on the button to move to the next (or previous) neighbor, I should go directly to their KL if they have one. Of course, if the player doesn’t have KL built yet, I would go to the player’s Springfield instead. This would help players who need to get tickets do so faster, and make this part of the game less of a hassle to play. This should apply as well if any other areas are added to the game in the future (Shelbyville, anyone?).
5) ALL holiday stuff should be usable in KL. It makes sense for a theme park to have areas dedicated to one subject (or theme— even if it is Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc. It looks odd to see this stuff sitting around Springfield when we aren’t in the season where it belongs.
6) Stampy should have an outdoor task in KL. I don’t care about his history in Springfield — an elephant makes more sense for KL than for Springfield. (I am not saying to remove his Springfield tasks, just give players the option of sending him to play in KL.)
7) Mr. Teeny also needs some new tasks. I would give him an 8-hour task to look for Krusty, and some kind of outdoor KL task, since he looks like he belongs there. Whatever else happens, don’t let anybody take him to Germany, though, or we might not get him back.
8) The Make-A-Thing workshop needs to be put back in service with some permanent crafting options, as well as seasonal or event crafting.
9) Vehicles and stop signs need to be able to be oriented in four directions. Every time I see a stop sign that is placed for oncoming traffic, but is oriented so that I can see it, I cringe. Stop signs are rarely ever two-sided, and seeing what looks like two-sided stop signs just looks plain weird. Not being able to orient vehicles where I want them is also frustrating. I do understand that for houses and stores, adding reverse views doubles up the memory needed for the image files, but it seems like adding them for just the stop signs and vehicles would be more manageable.
Well, I have more but this seems like enough for now.
Etamni, I too wish for the stop signs and cars to face all directions. I only have one or two signs out for that reason. Now if we could just get the cars on the road…
Also I like your idea of permanent crafting options! It could be a fun way to interact with neighbors, if there was a way we could hide ingredients in each other’s towns or something. EA, this is a good idea!
I like your ideas. I want to add that all buildings should be 4-directional and not two. It gets boring seeing all the buildings facing the same way.

I like your ideas but we should be able to sell holiday items not just stuff them into KL. I still have a ton of crap from valentines and easter clutering up my inventory

Anyone know where we can add Facebook friends that play? I find its handy to have the few extra friends beyond the 100 origin players then your guaranteed to get max FP daily. I can’t seem to find anywhere for that.

Thanks but thats not what I meant. I have 5 facebook friends that play and they show up automatically. You only have the option to invite existing Facebook friends that don’t play. I Don’t do that even in FB I don’t invite people to play a game they don’t play already. I mean like the add me’s thats geared towards adding origin ID’s but instead adding people that have their FB account hooked to the game. So instead of adding this new person as a origin friend adding them as a friend through Facebook like other games on facebook.
The ONLY way to do that is to get them on your personal Facebook you have linked with your TSTO account. That is completely up to you if you would like to invite strangers on your Facebook profile. To do so, you would have to provide the name just as shown on Facebook or the link from that account in the friends request page, stating that is what you wish…they add you on Facebook. Just remember you are providing possible personal information, you do so at your own risk. 😉
What does everyone think we’re going to get this year for thanksgiving? looking back I can’t recall another character that is thanksgiving themed, can anyone else?

With Wolfcatles daughter Greta there is a quest to ‘pretend to go on a date with Mr Burns’ …… Am I alone thinking this is kind of inappropriate especially for a game that kids play?

I have the Little black Box its 120$ and 12xp every 6 hr. looks like its supposed to be a martini bar. Still need about 4000 fp for Stewart Duck.
It’s an airport bar. When u tap it says “preparing pilots for takeoff.” Now all we need is an airport.

That’s too bad, I was hoping there’d be at least a one-off quest if not a permanent task like the Singing Sirloin. Oh well, it will fit in my growing swanky part of downtown in about 3hrs when it’s done.

I put mine there as well…just seemed the fitting place for it. Wonder if we’ll get the airport, or even the airplane buffet I see in some towns to go with the black box???? Seems to be an oddment sort of selection really with nothing to go with it, or any tasks. Oh well. At least it is earning $’s for us! Wouldn’t it be luverlee if EA gave us a building that earned DONUTS!!! Even if only one a week, it would be terrific for the freemium players.
And, Etamni….totally with you on theKL switching button! Would be terrific to be able to just float thru everyone’s KL’s without going out and coming back in etc.

Am I the only one that feels like quest lines have simply been fizzling out lately? During Halloween the main quest was okay but both Hugo and UBO had quest lines that just seemed to end without any fanfare, and both Princess Cashmier and the French Waiter seem to be doing the same in the level 47 update. I remember when I got Krabappel her quest took days, involved multiple characters, and left me quite satisfied with her placement in the game, but so many current ones seem to be dropped in, they get a couple quips in, and then they are doomed to walk around forever, a meaningless face in the crowd with almost no impact on the game. While certainly not everyone is going to have the huge quest, these little 3 stage guys just don’t feel worth it. Hopefully we’ll get something fun, and a more important character or two for Christmas.

I agree, I wasn’t even sure Nelsons mom, Hugo, the waiter or princesses quest lines were done until no prompt came up within a day of their last tasks.
I’ve been tapping away for a couple months now. Having both the church and Buddhist temple, my Hebrew school education makes me wonder, why no synagogue? I can’t be the only one who has wondered this. The 26th season opener, “Clown in the Dumps” saw the death of Krusty’s rabbi father, so I think it’s the right time to introduce a synagogue (and maybe also a Hindu temple, mosque, etc.). All the religions present on the show (and they have been rather inclusive over the years) should have a place in our TSTO Springfields. Who’s with me?
