You ALL should get the Update now to correct the issue of the Leftovers. Not sure if all will see the *(null) one fixed just yet. But the Update will auto hit your games. 😉 (Remember if you see Bart, it may because EVERYONE is trying to get the update, so be patient)
UPDATE BUNNY: Looks like many of you are running into another issue. (It is odd as it did not impact any of my games.) Yesterday’s task ended with coming back today for Leftovers. Part of the Leftovers dialog today and task is to again have Lisa and Ned Have a Peace Feast, but the option is locked up. I am currently testing a few things and will report back.
I am in process of trying to contact EA, and also started a forum thread on EA. Please feel free to add to it and open a ticket with EA on the issue. Will update once I hear more back. (I am also looking into the **null** self punishment issue)
UPDATE BUNNY 10:30 AM EST: After a very very long conversation with some reps poking round in my game, they still are unable to isolate issue. So…off to a patch they go. They are looking into the entire “Leftover” questline that should have triggered properly as well as Ned’s task turning *(null). Hopefully they can get a patch out soon. In the meantime, keep flooding the forums with your info so it keeps it on top.
UPDATE BUNNY 2:00PM EST: It seems they almost have issue isolated and hope a patch will be out soon for all these issues. No ETA as of yet on it, just once they got it all in order it will hit our games. So hang in there. This one is wide spread.

So I bought Professor Frink when he was discounted. I saw he has a quest line but I’m not getting it. He has jobs assigned to him with the ! but there is no dialogue…. is this normal or a glitch?

I keep seeing comments about sprinkles, and I play daily and check in on tsto regularly, but I’ve never encountered them in the game. What are these sprinkles?

This promotion has me so tempted but whenever I crunch the numbers I talk myself out of buying donuts. I’d love to get Barney but 250 donuts costs something like $15! Sometimes you can get a whole game for $15… Earning the donuts without spending cash is crazy slow though. Am i too cheap? I’m afraid that once I justify buying donuts once I’ll do it all the time…
I have been playing this game since it came out, and have never spent money on donuts. I bought the sleep easy motel today with the rebate, sad I missed Kamp Krusty, but in that whole time I have accumulated about 600 donuts for free. I can’t justify spending real money either, at the end of the day, it is just a game, I wouldnt recomend spending real money.

I couldn’t find the page that said how long this daily quest is supposed to be but I thought it was till the 1st of December.
The game said 11/24-12/1. Today’s post is up…
I dunno if there is a new bug or remember if the daily quests have ended, but I just went to play at 3:15am and there is no daily quest for the 29th yet, maybe fixing the last bug caused a new one.

Mine didn’t start either at 3am EST as it had the previous days. I assumed it is because Homer is tied up with the long task of ‘being mad at Gil even more.’ He should finish up around 4pm and I will see if today’s Thanksgiving quest begins or not.
I sped Homer from his 24 hour quest and Trukey Day quest started right up.

At first I was really disappointed since I already had everything. But then figured maybe it’s best as I’m assuming I’ll need 500-600 sprinkles to make sure I get all the new Christmas goodies that are soon to appear
I was hoping to get Frink’s lab, but as this is a rebate deal, I didn’t have enough. Instead I opted for the School Bus and Otto, and with the rebate, I got Squeaky Voiced Teen. Given my original mess up months ago with the Homer Buddha to get premium stuff, I think this worked out ok. It will be some time before I can get another premium character anyhow, so figured to make it a 2-for-1 day.
Will there be a cyber Monday sale too?

Today I haven’t gotten that task as of yet and I have had homer free for a while now. I got leftovers and the black friday “hate Gil” task but not yesterday’s “send springfielders to feast”. HELP PLEASE: Want badly to buy Frink’s lab which will be available in 1 hou, but I CANNOT FIND DOUGHNUTS IN THE IN-GAME STORE. When I click “get more” doughnuts I see ONLY the options to spend doughnuts on in-game currency NOT real $ -> doughnuts. I don’t see this on the EA help forum, maybe it is only a problem on my account and I don’t know what to dooo
SOLVED: Figured this out just in time, was very hard to find a solution though!
I had to go into my phone settings (android), data usage, and make sure that background data was NOT restricted for the App Store (which it previously was restricted). I also restarted my phone. Then I opened tapped out again and the donuts were in the build store again and I was able to make my purchase.
I hope this helps anyone else having the same problem.

While I like the “Black Friday”tie-in, I’ve got to say that it undermines the thanksgiving stuff. I’d rather have a core character at a discounted donut price tag instead of buying a turkey in a cage.
I loved the timed releases during Halloween and wouldn’t mind seeing the concept again in the future, but this seems a bit extreme. Some people don’t have time to log on every hour to get these deals. But on the bright side, Christmas is coming up so maybe that will compensate for my disappointment here. 😊
Sigh. There goes my donuts. I “hate” this ‘Black Friday’ sale. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition… err.. I meant this type of sale. I thought Gil would show up with some discounted donuts to buy and all would be good. I was going to get some donuts to hold me over for the limited-time items offered throughout the Thanksgiving and Christmas events which I did. Now I find myself buying stuff that I thought would get “sometime” in 2015 but grabbing them now while they have rebates. It all means that I’ll be back in the donut poorhouse again before I know it and will have to get more sprinkles for the limited-time items that will be offered before the year closes out. Oh well. Black Friday madness has infected TSTO.
As a freemium player, I for one aim *glad* that Gil’s deal promotion wasn’t for discounted donuts. I was bummed back when I first started playing the game and Gil had his really great, half price deal on Otto and I didn’t have anywhere close to enough donuts to buy, what was at the time, my #1 most desired premium item. So at least this time around I was happy to have enough donuts to take advantage of the Lampwick deal, which, even if he’s not the most exciting character, was a really good earnings combo. However, I don’t have enough donuts to buy anything more during Gil’s Black Friday promotion now, and I’m hoping that I haven’t left myself too “donut poor” heading into the Christmas event!
(The one good thing about not having too many donuts left now, is that I can stop stressing out about Gil’s deals now lol!)

This all looks like a lot of fun and I really wish that I could be a part of it, but unfortunately I have been looking at the Bart screen and “Cannot Connect to Server” ALL DAY LONG. I’m loving Black Friday! I’ve wanted the Sleep-Eazy since I started playing in February, but couldn’t justify the high price. But with a 50 donut rebate… Now I’ll be adding Duffman tomorrow, and Disco Stu, and saving 80 donuts in the process! I couldn’t be happier! Now if only I hadn’t bought The Bowlerama 2 weeks ago. Oh well, Barney was worth it!
There are some items that I want, and if I had the donuts I would have just brought them out right long ago. I still haven’t been able to justify spending real money on this game so, I was hoping for a real Gil deal like when I got Otto and the school bus.

So far as I can tell, I can only purchase each item during the hour it is available. So yes, I did buy them in the time slots. Perhaps the rebates aren’t instantaneous? Or is it just me?
If you bought them…Gil would have thanked you and you would have seen a pop up about the rebate as it went back to you.
It happened to me also! I bought the Fire eater and I got my donuts but then I bought the juggler and no donuts back!!
I tried to contact EA and they told me I should contact them again only after 24 hours… The thing is that I need that donuts back to buy Psringfield Pet Shop 🙁
Hey guys! I was looking at todays black friday deal from Gill, and I noticed a couple good deals and tell me your opinion after 🙂
>Rocket Car & Lampwick is a good deal because after you finish the questline you get rewarded 6 donuts. So actually for today you getting this deal for 79 donuts instead of 85 donuts..
>Sherri & Terri is a good deal because your getting 2 characters for 110 donuts, so thats 55 donuts per character and thats cheaper than any of the single premium characters. Even though they do the same tasks together, they still get the double rewards.
> The Rich Texan is a good deal because for 65 donuts it becomes cheaper than most premium characters to buy, its even cheaper than JIMBO’s character today which is 85 donuts
> Finks Lab is a good deal because for 110 donuts, you get a building and a character, and right now the cheapest combo on a regular day is the sushi restaurant combo for 100 donuts. And I think it drastically improves on of your ratings in the game aswell.

We can only wait n see. THIS…is actually really unusual. This entire thing is not really an event. So the items they offered like to buy new or a Free table are very standard of a short mini week-ish update. So I am kinda glad to see offerings from Gil like this.
