So this event is HUGE. I mean REALLY HUGE. I think due to this many devices and games just can’t take the memory drain, causing lots of player to NOT be able to get in their games. 
I had an issue like this that locked me out of my B game and they had to roll it back to fix it (I guess 6000 Decorations are a bit much to have in a town. LOL.) EA is working on some patches to help. As it is too late to reach my contacts, I have to wait til the AM to get a bit more details, but…they are working as fast as they can to narrow the issues and get the patches out.
Here is what YOU can do to help. First make sure it is not something simple, like memory or WiFi issue. If the Basic Troubleshooting isn’t helping…then on to the next part.
REPORT IT!!! The more the players that call in, the higher priority it comes as they get a real feel for how many impacted. So Contact EA right away to get a ticket in. (This will also help you if you miss, loose, can’t get items and need something showing you couldn’t get in.)
POST IT!!! Go to the forums and add your name. As a cool poster I am familiar with there already started a feed, just keep adding to it please.
So go to the Forums and keep the topic “HOT” til it is fixed.
Hang in there, everyone working together will help to get this solved. I will update THIS post with anymore info I get back personally.

Don’t know where to post this…I was wondering if I missed something. Is the Kwik-E-Mart not paying out anymore? I’ve noticed in the last 24 hours I’m not getting the cash register symbol above the building anymore and when I click on it all I see are the scratch card options. I tried killing and restarting the game, storing the building, and looking on this website to see if I missed something. Any insight would be appreciated.

Still not got access after posting to EA on Saturday !! EA are a joke with the lack of support on the issues created by them releasing an update that their servers can not cope with! Hope I’m not missing out on too much with not having access…..presume I am wrong and falling behind on the presents to unlock part 1
Have you tried the phone call option?
I tried the call option. Doesn’t help it move any faster at all. I’ve been waiting since Friday evening. Talked to them on the phone, chat, and via E-mail. Chat and E-mail lead me being told to revert my save. Still waiting on that. The call, (Only used after it had been more than 24 hours after they said they were going to revert my game back to an old server save) they just told me to wait til a patch happens.
There’s a way of getting into the game on ois by using static ip.http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/60/10243912.page I just tried it and it works, had been locked out of game for 36 hours. Didn’t lose any progress even though it said my game wasn’t saved on my other device (Android tablet)
Kinda off topic, but I noticed yesterday that my goblin Bart’s level was rest to level 1, it’s weird because the castle level is still at 27 and archer Lisa, barbarian homer and wizard marges levels were unaffected, remaining at 67, 110, and 35 respectively. Any idea where I can let es know and have this fixed? It’s not a huge deal but I’d like it to be correctly reflecting my effort during CoC.
Some others are reporting the same thing. It’s something, unfortunately, you’ll have to contact EA on.
Works on 4G for me, but not WiFi…come on EA this is unacceptable…
Success! I’m finally in. Had to update again (using wifi), but progress has not been lost! Only lost the 200 presents for completing in 24 hours on two tasks, but I can live with that!
I tried the “using the data” trick, one word DONT DO IT! When I switched my data on and wifi off, it said unable to detect wifi, continue with update. In my error I thought that as I already updated to Christmas, that it might be a patch. The first update was 12mb, then changed to 32 MB.After the 32mb update, it then launched into the 200 plus mb update (at which point I turned data off and wifi on). I went into the app thinking something must have reset….. But no, still seeing Bart and unable to conect to server!
I hope it resolves quickly… definitely contact EA if it persists.
Scrap that ive deleted it fed up of EA this always happens they never get it right only playing again 2 months after game stopped working for 7 MONTHS
Back on line now, but feel a little cheated? Don’t seem to have got the rewards I may have got if everything was ok with EA’s server?

Are they going to replace all prizes im missing because ive not been able to log in since yesterday gets to doughnut screen and closes
Believe me you’ve only missed 1 day. While it seems like a lot to you…you should still be in good shape. Wookiee’s been locked out of his game for weeks and still managed to get all the prizes in past events. Contact EA and let them know what’s going on…see what they can do to help you out
Same happened to me. But I found out that I can play on my data but not my WiFi.
Locked out too. Just get a message saying Cannot connect to server. This has been going on for about 6 hours now. Not really very good considering how much money we pay to EA.
I’m not even remotely sure this will work for everyone and I stress I’m no expert but I did what an earlier poster suggested on my phone start tapped out on my 3G (cellular data) got to the log in screen logged on then turned 3G back off and wifi back on and this appears to have worked it hasn’t crashed since! Unfortunately I can’t do that on my iPad as its wifi only!
I’m trying this now. It said there is an update so I’m eating the costs and hoping this update will help whatever issue there is.
I tried that it works on 4g then crashes on wifi so i have uninstalled the game
This has just worked for me – though who knows why. Initially had WiFi & data on, then when I saw I had 280 odd item update to do (this might be because I reinstalled and hadn’t been able to get on since) quickly turned data off. And now I’m in for the first time since about 12pm GMT! Yay 🙂
Thanks doggymolly this worked on my phone. I had to switch from 4g to 3g as well. Like you I can’t get in on tablet but at least I won’t fall to far behind.
Glad I’m not the only one with the issue. Wonder what they will do about the lost time and presents. Knowing my luck nothing and I would t get all the prizes 🙁
I can get into my game but I can’t do the elf quests. I’m stuck on the 3 rd task for the 5th gate
hmm…what’s blocking you out? Are you trying the icon in the top right?
The moments I could get into my game yesterday, mine was doing the same. I would try and tap on the icon on the top right, but nothing would happen. i had to try and go through the task bar (The task about completing Santa’s tasks)
It started again on me 🙁
Contacted EA via email, it won’t let me reply to your post on their forums about the crash. Mine was saying can’t connect to server, but since reinstall it just keeps saying tapped out has stopped. Really do feel like throwing kindle across room. Will lose my 100 present bonuses now. Grrrr. Sorry for venting, just frustrated. V glad you guys are still here, at least I know it’s not just me.
Neither my phone or ipad will load the game. I have tried deleting the app and redownloading it. My OCD is going a little crazy because I have a routine and now I can’t play. I’m sure this sounds crazy.

Not sure if anyone has posted this but from a bit of investigation the lockout effects broadband but not mobile connections, I’ve been locked out for 24+ hours but just tried with my wifi off and mobile data on and connected straight away. On the off chance, I closed the game, switched the wifi back on and now working on my wifi… Used my personal hot spot to clear the lockout on my partners iPad too so that works as a fix as well… All game progress (as far as I can remember) is up to date.
No doughnuts from EA but at least I’m playing again ;o)
We ALWAYS strongly suggest for players to use WiFi. Others don’t seem to carry the game the same. 😉
I’m still locked out of my game, and have been since 9pm last night (gmt) tried all the trouble shooting help, and still nothing. I was close to finishing 3 Santa tasks, so will miss out on the bonus, plus used 2 donuts to speed up a task to make sure I would get the bonus….. 🙁

Thanks, I just notice MORE issues when data is used. I just hope they get some patches out fast.
Almost 24 hours with no access. EA responded to my initial email telling me to trouble shoot – even though I told them I had done all that. And no reply since I answered that email, maybe 4 hours ago now. First time I’ve been locked out for so long 🙁

What errors are people getting? Mine can’t connect to the servers and been like that for over 24hrs now..
And I echo what someone else said above; I think TSTO must take up about half of my phone’s memory now!
All I can suggest is ONLY use WiFi on a strong signal. Outside that….seeing if I can find out more from EA.
Christmas, what Christmas. I’ve been locked out of my beloved game due to this glitch. Sorry to all my neighbours but there is nothing much I can do. I have logged a issue with EA, if you are in the same position please do the same as per Bunnys guide.
I think we should all be given free donuts/presents due to the suspension of our activities. I’m already over 24hrs behind!
I got locked out 12/06, about 6:00 est, did try the troubleshooting, and did contact EA last night. Still getting the “Bart screen”.
I had problems for the last 12 hours trying to log in where it said it could not connect to server, but as soon as I turned my wifi off and connected through 3G I was able to log in. Hopefully this can help others with connectivity issues, although I’m sure there’s more than one problem occurring right now with the servers and the game.

I just wanted to say I am not even able get on my game I have reported it to ea. But mainly I want to apologise to my neeighbours for not been able to do the visit s.
After 19 hours of being stuck at the Bart unplugged screen I decided to try using mobile data rather than WiFi and I’ve got straight back in! Don’t know if just coincidence but worth a try for those stuck out!
