  1. i started the end of x-mas 2014, so this was my first full event. i did like it but it realle took a lot of time. thought the prises are great. soon i be lvl 42 and only 1 friendship prize missing. i quess i’ve been really active =0D
Hope there will be some smaller eastern event ;o) I got saved up almost 100 donuts, dunno yet what to do with them. Do you have a top 5 must buy? that would help me decide what to buy with my first donuts.

  2. Craig (ibuylow2014)

My favorite part of the Superhero event was the rainbow hair. Even with my old eyes, I could see them!

    • That was awesome to look at! It was especially funny when they were skulking around in my forest — unlike the other bad guys, you couldn’t miss them, even if you need glasses and weren’t wearing them.

  3. I joined at the tail end of the Valentines event so Ive been pretty spoiled with the events (Superhero/St. Patricks Day) and now that Im done with everything actually find it boring with not so much to do. Im a hardcore gamer and I find it no problem putting a 1 hour cycle in my town. naturally, Ive also set my own set of playlist.
-Only buy the required buildings and stuff to progress quests.
-As such, bunch up,everything together temprarily. (sorry neighboreenos)
    -Reach level 50
    -Maximize FP
-Unlock all map expansions. Boardwalk and Krustyland included.
-And only then blow up my Sfield and start decorating my town the proper way.

I figure going this route will help me save time as I hope to redeco my town just once considering the massive amount of effort to do so. Ive also bought the biggest pack of donuts but am only going to use them to buy limited edition characters or costumes. For the non limited premium items Im going cheap mode and wait till I get max fp and start earning bonus donuts on neighbor runs to accumulate the donuts to get them.

I still wish there would be an easter event to keep thing fresh and interesting. It was nice opening the game expecting to find new things every day. But even without one Id still be playing TSTO regularly. As someone who came from years of hardcore gaming on pc, I can say that TSTO is an awesome game. Great production values and polish. Updated regularly. Has been alive for years now. And most importantly, its freemium! Now thats saying a lot considering its an EA game. lol

    • Good plan! 🙂

A couple of minor points — first, do you mean to finish each item in your checklist before starting the next? If so, you should rethink that part of it. As soon as KL opens for you, you can start building there. It doesn’t take much time each day and uses KL tickets instead of game dollars, so there’s no reason not to start when you can. Squidport should also be started as soon as the game allows, and constantly build tiles for it. You have to unlock them one at a time and they take progressively longer and longer to unlock. (The tiles I am working on now are at 3 days each!)

    • Wonderful plan, but if you’re going to decorate later on, might I suggest buying up as many limited time decorations as possible to have some diversity of stuff. You can store it all immediately after and you have a vault of stuff at the end.

  4. I loved the super hero event – it literally got me giggling at times. Episode 4 was kinda chill compared to the others, but not all super hero moves end with a bang.
What i’m waiting for is a lull! my tow is someone discombobulated and i’d love to do a nuclear option in order to reset – but, i don’t wanna do it if another big event is coming down the road – it will take time to get things set back up.
I’m debating doing it this week and hoping that if they release an Easter event – it will be next weekend.
In fact – I believe Easter is my 1 year anniversary of this game – I remember coming in and tapping bunnies like crazy.

    • Just my opinion, but it seems like an Easter event would need to start this week — Tuesday probably, give or take a week — but I have no idea what they are actually planning.

    • Oh nanny, reconsider. I, for one, appreciate your town. Could you maybe just redo certain areas? Thanks for being a great neighbor!

      • Thanks Janis! How nice of you to say!
what i’d like to do is put the main houses in the center of town, then put the other things on the outskirts – i do have to say I totally do not relish rebuilding the castle. ugh. I like my gate community too. and i want to make the zenith buildings their own little town too.
I have a bunch of screen shots from other towns and the flickr page, so i have to look at the things i like and go from there.
i also want to spend donuts on some large items and i’ll need a spot to put them in.
i’ve been debating this for the entire superhero event and i’m still torn! As you can see- i’ve tried redecorating a bit already.
Thanks again for the comment tho!

  5. I loved this event!

I just can’t wait for the Easter event 😀

  6. I loved this event. I love the random events with no real attachment to a season because they’re so unique, but they make for hard placement in town. I really hope the next event is a major Easter type event, hoping it’s Whacking Day because I loved it, so I can work an area for spring one day. I may not have the space for it, but I love museum display designs for limited time stuff.

  7. Now that the event is wrapping up and we are (possibly) entering a lull, it’d be nice if they made some tweaks to existing things. Here are a few I’d like to see:

All characters voiced — even if it is just a single line taken from the show or a grunt or something. Unless there are licensing issues (are there?), it’s silly that iconic characters like Milhouse are mute.

Some sort of change to the random quests — not sure what to do, but as is they don’t add much

Ability to buy multiple copies (say ten or twenty) of an item at once and have them go into storage — when buying a bunch of temporarily available decorations for later use it can take quite a while and is difficult if you don’t have a big patch of unused land

Ability to put more things in Krusty Land — I’ve got tons of decorations sitting in storage I’d love to put in KL. Every update I check, but so far very few can go there.

    • Voiced characters: Agree — at least for those characters who are voiced by the main voice actors for the series. One-off guests might be harder to arrange, depending on what was in the original contract, especially for those who have since passed on.

Random quests: That’s all they are, just random things to keep us interacting with the game when we have caught up to the current level of the game. I do wish they would turn them off for events, however, as it is really annoying to have a random (long) quest for a character that has event-related tasks to complete.

      Multiples: Agree

Moving stuff to KL: Agree. I’ve said this here before, ad nauseam, but I don’t think they are listening. Any castle, any animal, any mascot, any holiday item, any event item, anything that looks like it belongs in a parade, and any ordinary landscaping decoration, all need the option to be placed in KL. I’d especially like an outdoor task for Stampy there, and a solo outdoor task for Mr. Teeny there as well.

      • Turning random quests off for events is a good idea. On a related note, in my Springfield Bart and Milhouse finally got to have that sleepover they’ve been wanting for a couple of weeks…

    • Concerning having all of the characters voiced: I’ve heard that some of the characters voices cannot be used due to contract issues. Basically EA cannot legally reproduce the voice or likeness of the voice. That’s just what I’ve heard and I might be completely wrong.

      • That is very accurate. The Simpsons are not owned by EA, so they are a 3rd party and still have to go through all the legal hoops to get OK from Fox, Gracie, Matt, and the actors. Legal legal legal.

      • I was guessing something like that might be in play. Oh well. I’m sure it is way more complicated than most of us could imagine, but it still bugs me that some super common characters are silent.

    • Voices are something I would like. Obscure characters like Zutroy are voiced even just a grunt but not Milhouse? But legal issues are real.

I feel like once I get there (at Mrs. Muntz!!!) I’m going to hate the random quests. As it is I’m trying to clear the task book to be free of anything and just admire my designs and redecorate for grins and giggles. I like to decorate… Don’t judge too harshly…

I would like the buy to store option. I buy upwards of 60+ items on some occasions to have for future events like Jack-o-Lanterns for Halloween. And lamps for Christmas. I could go on for days. It would save so much time.

My KL is so under utilised it’s pitiful. If limited time stuff would be movable, I would totally do something there medieval times, comic book land, I would just recreate Islands of Adventure from Florida.

  8. I have 2 discussion topics, if you want to explore them?
    1. What are your guy’s thoughts on Nintendo pushing Zelda U back to 2016?
    2. How are your March Madness bracket doing?

  9. I really liked the event as well. I have two games going – my completionist have all the thhbgs version and a lower level all freemium and easily earned all prizes for both. I actually finished first in the freemium, likely because it gets more attention. My only issue was earning enough dollars for land for all the stuff! I crafted multiple buildings so that was a lot of real estate. Now bring me some bunnies!!!

    • no wonder i haven’t seen you that active, i must be friends with your completionist town (judging by all the whales you have in it, it MUST be, haha).

      • Lol! I went a little nuts with a stash of iTunes gift cards when I first started playing. TSTO isn’t my dirty secret anymore now that I started my blog. Oops. I just hid peeps yesterday since the event is over, but you’re showing still. Just hit your town! My baby game is kalibean1.

      • And I do log into my completionist game at least twice a day, so I’m not too bad 🙂 Might be time for a blow up and redesign soon. I was keeping it seasonal so all holiday stuff (or most) gets put away, but I like the holiday stuff so much I might reduce my castles and cram it in.

  10. This event went on too long I thought. Why can’t I store the radioactive man statue? Let us store it! It looks so out of place in my Springfield and takes up valuable real estate.

  11. Super hero event went on a little too long I thought. Why can’t I store the radioactive man statue? Let us store it. Looks so out of place in my Springfield.

  12. Mr. Auto Correct

I feel as if EA and TinyCo are rivals.
The second the Superhero Event goes to the last issue, the second the
    Star Trek Event at
Family Guy Quest for Stuff starts.
I think EA’s losing some players.

    • They are rivals. Although both games are based on animated shows that appear on Fox, the game developers are different companies. As much money as EA has made from TSTO, it’s no surprise that someone else tried to do the same thing.

  13. Yay, I don’t have to worry about tapping neighbors towns in odd hours of the night anymore. Always felt bad playing at 1am knowing most people wouldn’t get to clear the tap until time had diminished the rods (or pies or freeze rays) to only one or two per house by the time they woke up. Oopsie. 🙂

  14. I enjoyed the first three parts of the superhero event, but the 4th part was a little bit of a letdown. I am freemium and was able to collect all of the prizes. I earned a lot of donuts, but didn’t buy any premium items from this event. Hoping we get an Easter event. I started playing at the end of last Easter event, so I am missing a lot of the prizes from last year.

    • I was disappointed with the 4th part I finished early and have nothing to do till the end of the event I am also a freemium player who started middle to the end of Easter last year also

    • I know I definitely won’t be looking forward to an Easter event with the same game mechanics as last year’s. I don’t think you are alone, the drop rate last year was difficult to achieve, many of us probably missed prizes even though we played from the start.

      • The only parts of last year’s Easter event that I want repeated is to be able to zap bunnies and to grow carrots at the farm. The prize structure and the randomness are things they can keep. Oh, and I want to be able to buy last year’s Easter fences and Easter gates for cash (not donuts) so that I can get enough to design with.

    • what part was a letdown for you? just curious…

      • I guess the last part lacked neighbor visit interaction, so seemed less busy. Maybe they could’ve extended the crafting and added something new to craft to make it more interesting.

      • Fencing-flasbacking… yeah EA, we got the joke last time, PLEASE I hope they don’t do it to us again!

    • I thought the last part was a bit disappointing I finished it in way less time then they allowed think they could have gave people more time to complete other parts. I finished all and got all prizes thought we would get new crafting with part 4 so held onto stuff wanted more phone boxes but got a phone call at wrong time and then it was 8 am

  15. Had such a good time yesterday! Thanks for organizing! So great to meet everyone!

  16. I loved the event. Granted I just started during the xmas event 2014, but so far I’m still hooked on the game. I just have no money for land and buildings yet so my SF looks like crap (sorry friends), so hopefully i can get to that now that i’m not saving in case a SH event item popped up. I still haven’t gotten the beach house update yet, so hopefully that comes soon and it’s cheap to free.

    • Earning money will not be an issue once you play long enough. In fact I got so much money but nothing to buy. The donuts is an issue. You can never have enough donuts unless real money is spent if premium items are desired.

    • Keep playin…you’ll have tons of “stuff” n money….and not enough land to put all your stuff!!!

  17. For you !
    Hello
For my part, I loved this event, although here in France we don not have the beach base, 😢,
Since the SHIFT clash of clones, we are spoiled!
    We are preparing EA ?????
Thank you for the info on your site, you are awesome!

  18. Happy Sunday addicts…wonder what is next in store for us 😁

  19. Enjoying the weekend I’ve just had, plenty of opportunity to get some sleep and definitely no work. Clocks went forward this morning in the UK so lost an hour there. Luckily most of my clocks automatically change and I only have 2 to change myself. One of which is my watch.
Finished the superhero event a couple of days ago and been a little lazy about going in my town since but I am still about. Wonder what they will do for Easter, if anything.

    • Hopefully the ability for those of us who didn’t get the decent stuff at Easter last year can get them. (All I got last year was stuff that went straight into the inventory and hasn’t seen the light of day, and not things like Shary Bobbins or the Egg Council Guy. This is one of the reasons why the Broken Prize Wheel given out during the Christmas 2014 event is on display in my Springfield.)

  20. Am I the only one feeling a little bit of burn out with this game? The events have been a little too long, and require too much grinding. I think I’m just going to do 24 hour tasks for a while, so I’ll only play once a day, instead of multiple times. I’m at level 50, over 8 million on hand, and plenty of donuts. Do you guys stop visiting your neighbors as much when there isn’t an event?

    • Yes. I’ve taken advantage of the “hide” option so I can hit my favorite neighbors only off season. Most of my neighbors are level 50 and we’re all maxed on friend points so not much point. I’ve hidden most and have 20 visible, most of which are real life friends or people who ALWAYS visit me. I’ll unhide and resume visiting when we have a purpose to do so.

      • Keep I mind that even level 50 folks, who may not really need money or FP, still might want the XP from clearing handshakes to help get them to another bonus donuts round!

        • I tried to be cautious to keep active players showing – the names I frequently see in my Springfield will get more attention now that I’m not trying to get through 90+ people every day. Since I just discovered this option yesterday, I’ll tinker with it this week to see how I did. I have a lot of neighbors that only come to my town sporadically, so I thought this was a great fix by TSTO for down time.

During events I generally hit A-K in the morning and L-Z in the evening. I was only going through that cycle a couple times a week when there isn’t something going, especially since there isn’t much to do in my own town. Now I’ll get everyone who actually want the extra FP more frequently. And I’ll understand if I’m dropped as a neighbor in the meantime 🙂

      • It’s the challenge of committing that full 1 1/2 to 2 hours per day to get through everything, more when events hit. The moderation between life and TSTO activity is the constant dilemma with games like these, kinda why I’ve retired from FGTQFS for the last month, I don’t FB so TSTO was the more drawing, and I enjoy the game and community more. That being said, habits change in down time, I’ve moved to 12-24 tasks, and try and visit every one once a day, but really have to organise time to do so 😉

      • I get that time and life balance thing, Cube, I really do. I guess the only reason I find it do-able is that I always watch at least an hour of TV a night (usually more), so I just do my neighbor visits while I’m watching my show(s). I’ve been finding that the one-tap method I’ve been using helps relieve a lot of the pressure and gives me far more flexibility as to when I do my visiting, but if the time slip gets too bad for that first round of tapping, I’m going to be back under pressure. Maybe the answer will be to skip a day to adjust for time slip more often, rather than let myself get took burned out with/pressured by visiting altogether.

    • I still visit all my neighbors once a day (a good way to earn donuts for us freemium players). But unless I’m trying to build up a cash reserve or buy some land or something I’ll often send my people out on 6 hour or longer tasks. I will play the game at least twice a day when there isn’t an event.

    • No, I don’t stop visiting my neighbors between events, for two reasons:
      1) It’s not fair to them. Even if I don’t need the visits, maybe they do.
      2) Free donuts (off at least the possibility of them)!

      • I LIKE visiting my neighbors, because most of them have really cool towns and there’s always something to learn from them. I usually get a donut or two, which is a nice incentive. I like seeing their name over the handshake. And no, I don’t need money, it was awhile ago I gave up my house farms when I hit ten million, and now, it’s an easy 18 million. I just really like this game and like doing whatever I can do in it. For the record, (because I’m nuts and kept a record) I have 92 neighbors, 10 of whom are maybe dead, another 10 who have never visited, not even once, and 53 who visit very regularly and are amazing. Love ya!

      • Just curious, Janis – why do you keep the “deadbeats”? It’s not like there’s a shortage of potential new neighbors…

      • Hi Sandra, I keep the deadbeats, because I actually benefit more from visiting than from being visited. I visit 92 neighbors and get one or two donuts. I would never get donuts from 92 neighbors visiting me. Plus, I don’t have to leave buildings free for them to tap. During events, I gain from being able to tap felons, etc., in their towns. As for the truly dead neighbors, sometimes it helps if you need to drop an alien egg undetected to collect double.

      • Sandra, I have a few dead beats in my list too that I can’t bring myself to delete. People who have beautifully designed towns that sadly don’t play or rarely play. I keep them because I love the inspiration I get from their towns and also there is always some benefit during events, like felons. In between events I’ll use the hide option and check every once in a while to see if they’ve played recently and during events I’ll open them up again. I actually have a few neighbors that came back after a loooong hiatus and are playing regularly again!

    • don’t forget, once you max out your FP you can get DONUTS (woo hoo!) from visiting your neighbors. mmm, donuts. plus after events some people will blow up their town and I like to see where take their designs. what I’ve been neglecting is my characters, letting them roam without being sent on a task. or not clearing their tasks.

      • barleecreations (canid88)

Oh I am with you, I really enjoy seeing my neighbors’ designs, that’s another good reason to continue visiting their towns.

  21. Loved every minute of it and the prizes too! Bring on the Easter bunnies!!

Daylight changes here so apologise to my great neighbours in advance as will need to do a reset soon …thanks thebrooders

Beauty is that in the meantime I can redeem and redesign my spring field 🙂

  22. Hello

What I was trying to say in English: French is not my first language. Sorry for my grammar. I’m from Canada and it has been some time since I’ve spoken or written in French. I don’t think the beach house was released for anyone in the game, I also don’t have it available.

      • Oh gosh, I should have reviewed before submitting… many basic grammatical errors. Sorry again!!

      • Sorry again for replying multiple times.
Alissa, Bunny and Wookie, it might be a good idea to keep my posts hidden. The grammar is so bad I may offend some readers….

      • Great job, Nessa! I was able to read and understand your whole French post, but I never could have written it. (I lack the grammatical skill, plus it’s been a very, very long time since I studied French.) But I think it’s great that you made the effort to make Mactan feel welcome and ended. Bravo!

    • Used Google Translate to get this:

Mactan: For my part, I loved this event, although here in France we don not have the beach base,
Since the SHIFT clash of clones, we are spoiled!
      We are preparing EA ?????
Thank you for the info on your site, you are awesome!

      • Ah, beach house? No the beach house was not released during or at the end of this event. If anyone has it, they are either hacking their game or they work for EA.

      • Correct, no Beach House has been released in the game at all. Others have been misleading info that is not Live in the games at all. Sorry.

      • Groan. .. keep hearing about “alleged” beach houses. Listening to rumors and conjecture should always be kept with an open mind. I agree with the TSTO addict team on this one though, unless EA confirm, and it appears, dream to your hearts content 😉

  23. I really liked this event, I thought it was a lot of fun (granted I only started playing late last year so I’ve not been through a whole lot of events). One of things I particularly liked was being able to see the buildings get re-animated when tapped by neighbors, I hope we will get to see that happen again in future events. I found tapping all the bad guys creeping around our towns therapeutic and great fun. BIFF! BAM! That always made me giggle when I was a kid watching the old Batman TV show (still does today). I do wish they had kept all the prizes a secret like they did for the last episode, who doesn’t like a little mystery and anticipation? I’m so thrilled I was able to win enough donuts to buy Spider Pig before the event was over. I can’t wait to see our next event!

    • That’s great, glad that you were able to get spider-pig too. This event has been very kind to us donut addicts.

      • barleecreations (canid88)

Thanks, I was doing a happy dance when I won the last donut to get him. I worked hard to earn all the donuts I could, but I totally agree with you EA were very kind to us. 🙂

  24. So, how was/is the meet-up?!?

  25. I really liked the event and found the building part fun and engaging.mi was actually paying attention to the game again, for once. Issue 4 was boring. I hope the next event is scheduled soon.

Anyone knows what we can expect and when?

  26. Loved seeing everyone at the meet and greet last night. Thank you Alissa, Bunny, and Wookiee for putting it together and for all my new house decorations. Actual decorations for my actual house! My real life vanity rating skyrocketed!

  27. Has anyone else had trouble storing the wrecked brown house? Mine disappear in the inventory and want to know if anyone else here is experiencing the same issues

  28. Does anyone know how you access the character sets in the game to see what you have/need? Thanks!

  29. With what Dr. Crab said at the end of the Superheroes Event 2015, does this mean we’ll see another Superhero Event in the future? I hope so, that way I’ll be able to get the things I missed out on this time around (hopefully).

Also, do you think the next event will be Easter, or will we get another Whacking Day event? I hope it’s the Whacking Day event. I started the game in the middle of the Clash of Clones event, so I missed the first one. I’m really hoping that, if it returns, I can get the Gymnastic Lisa costume. (I have all her other costumes.)

    • Burrahobbit_L27

I missed the whacking day event too, so for the same reasons I want it back. However, I doubt they will repeat events that only occur within the Simpsons Universe like Whacking day and stonecutters, aside from offering items from these events for sale. I probably have to give Gymnastic Lisa a pass if she ever returns, donuts are hard to come by for a freemium player and she is not at the top of my to-get list.

    • i missed out on the previous whacking day event, so i also hope they bring that back this year.

    • Being a late comer to the game, I missed whacking day. Also hoping for whacking day to repeat. Wish, believe, receive….WHACK!

  30. Honestly, I wasn’t a very big fan oF the superhero event; I thought it was too long and it bored me…Also, I think the “prices” of the prizes were too high…I look forward to a new event!

    • You might find the theme/game play of whatever the next event is more to your liking, but I doubt you’ll find the “prices” any lower…this event had pretty easily earnable prizes and the items that were for “sale” were pretty much on par with what they usually charge (in some cases, on the lower end, actually).

On the positive side (for you), most events are a somewhat shorter (IIRC), so that might make you happier with the next one!

    • Burrahobbit_L27

The endless tapping did get boring, but I liked the event because it was one of the few times I could get all the prizes. Looking forward to a new event as well, easter themed perhaps? Someone mentioned in a previous post that we may not see an easter event after all last year was the first time it happened. Guess we have to wait and let EA surprise us.

      • I had the worst Easter event the last round and despite spinning and spinning of the fortune wheel, I could only get half of the prizes. I am glad I got all the prizes in this superheros event.

      • Just curious… I’ve seen people complain before about the tapping (like you just did), but I’m not sure what the alternative is for a game that’s based on tapping (it’s even in the title). Do you (or anyone else here) have any interesting ideas for something different? I’d love to hear them (and, maybe, if a bunch of people like them, we could post a suggestion thread over in the EA forums)!

      • It was a challenge to achieve even half of the content offered, unlike the SH event which seemed to acknowledge regular tappers, freemium and premium alike. Hopefully we’ll find out this week, I reckon Wed, about what is in store and if the recent event is anything to go by I think EA has learned their lesson (crushed wheel 😉

    • The prizes are quite attainable. Have to play quite often each day though. Wait till you play their wheel of fortune, play so often each day and then i can only get half of the prizes.

    • I was super glad that the superhero event is over. The first issue was fun but after that it was just borimng to me. The characters you won had very wealk storylines too. Thinking once I get done with Helen Lovejoy’s taaks I will take a break.
