In between the Cervezas you may be enjoying today, you may have noticed we got a few new premium additions to our game this morning.
These items should be hanging around our games until the Terwilliger Event leaves Springfield…so you’ve got some time to decide. Of course we’ll break them all down in Should I Buy posts in the coming days, but for now let’s give a quick overview of the new premium goodies to hit our store…
Rolling Rock- 80 Donuts. Adds 3.5% Bonus to all Cash and XP
Five Corners- 70 Donuts. Adds .50% Bonus to all Cash and XP
Captain Bob- 100 Donuts. Premium Skin for Sideshow Bob (will earn 50% more cash and XP on his jobs)
And a few more of these guys to make Sideshow Bob’s life “fun” in Springfield…
1 Rake- 7 Donuts.
3 Rakes- 18 Donuts
15 Rakes- 75 Donuts

Weird. I got Five Corners in my store, but didn’t notice the Rolling Rock. I’ll have to check again. I’m building my opera house now, so maybe that why I don’t see it?
I agree the bonus percentages in these are lackluster. There seems to be no consistency in this game when it come to bonuses, at least none that I’ve really seen. Sometimes the donuts are worth it, sometimes they’re not. Of course, these are iconic items from the show, so maybe that’s why? Just having them is bonus enough?

I got one more rake so Sideshow Bob can walk in a square.

If my mental arethmatic is correct, Rolling rock beats Mini-Nuke out as the best investment of Donuts for XP/$ boost.
I don’t know about anyone else, but since the additions, my game has been moving at a crawl.
Meh, the rolling rock is cool but 5 corners feels very uninspired.
About Captain Bob, i just got him (THANK YOU GOLDEN SCRATCH-R) and he does come with a questline, i am only up to the 2nd job, but it looks like more will be to come.
I like the 5 corners, but I doubt it has a joint task for Sideshow Bob and Bart, which is the only thing that would make me buy it.

It is rhe running gag when Sideshow Bob appears. He always steps on a rake or two, which gives him a bang an on forehead. In TSTO is a 60 minute task where he does it.
Those rakes seem ridiculously expensive. Especially since Bob stepping on them is already getting a bit tiresome. Lots of people will buy them though, I suppose.
At 1 or 2 donuts each I might have bought a dozen or so. 75 donuts for 15? I don’t think so.
The rolling rock is almost, nearly, but not quite tempting. Everything is much too pricey for what it gives, imo.
We’re on the same page with this one. I was hoping for one donut each, and assuming 2-3 donuts each, but this is too steep. May pick up one or two if I lose my willpower, but they’ll end up being my secret shame, lol.
For me, the three free rakes were enough. The rock and the 5 corners are very entertaining moments from the show, but I’m more apt to spending donuts on characters/skins. That said, I’ll wait until I know more about the Captain Bob before biting that bullet.
Low and no bonus multiplier means no sale. Will save my much earned donuts for whatever Act 3 brings.
70 donuts for a 0.5% bonus is ridiculous, does it do anything else?
I haven’t played with it yet. I just jotted the info down quick when I woke up this morning for the post. Have to play around with them a little later today..
I really want five corners for nostalgia reasons, but 70 sprinkles seems an awful lot for just a .50% bonus. I’m going to have to think long and hard about this.
I purchased it immediately as it is an all time classic item. However, now see ing the multiplier, kinda wish I chose the rolling rock…
Dissapointed personally. Low bonuses for the cost of the decorations, and idk if I really want more rakes. Only thing I’m really thinking about it the Bob costume.
Hi… Did I miss something? How do we get Sideshow Bob? I see his skin, but it tells me that I just have this character. I have completed all the tasks for act 1 and just working towards the final prize in act ii. Thanks
He’s awarded at the end of Act 2 after you build the Opera House

I don’t understand why 15 rakes would cost 75 donuts, when the benefit is 1.5% to tasks, and me laughing. is there something more to the rakes?

Rolling Rock Captain Bob skin…pricey..but worth it.
Yaah!!! Sideshow Bob!!! he’s stepping on the rakes now. HILARIOUS!
(However as radiological technician I’ve seen the wounds caused by a rake. The sharp ones penetrade the foot and the blunt ones cause severe head trauma)
On the onther hand. This kind of violence is nothing compared to Itchy & Scratchy.

Already got Captain Bob. Will wait on the other stuff. I am mostly saving my donuts for lvl 52 if we get it this week.
They should of given is Bumble Bee Man for cinco de mayo or some Star Wars rip off from the movie may the 4th be with you! They dropped the ball on added enjoyment , this time.

Nope! I’ve saved and scrimped to get 119 donuts – almost ready to buy Otto! No way I can buy this stuff. I like the rolling rock though. Looking forward to seeing it in my neighbors’ Springfields!
Bought the captain bob skin straight away just waiting for bob to finish at monsarno to see if there is a quest line with it. Am tempted by rolling rock but will wait for the “should I buy “
I was all set to buy Five Corners (sentimental value) and then I saw how much bigger the bonus was on the Rolling Rock for only 10 donuts more…now Five Corners seems like I would be wasting my donuts even though I really like it. ARGH. Need more donuts. I’m assuming the Rolling Rock is animated, but is it constant or just when you tap on it?

Leaning towards Captain Bob, and I’m assuming he’ll have a job with the opera house…
And as funny as it would be to litter my town with rakes, I think 3 is good enough to make Bob’s rake job amusing.
