Looked good (funny), but it’s also kinda sad for those poor Springfielders who have to use the tunnel to get to work in Springfield Heights each day!
Kind of did it since I figured the obstacles and the truck, should actually be obstructing something. What better thing than the Heights, so the commoners don’t know what they are missing, unless they have a job there. When I have more room in the space might bring the truck and obstacles down a square just so they don’t look so cramped and see a bit more road behind the truck.
You could provide a secret side road that avoid the road block. The side road can be for service vehicles and others in the know. The main, direct, route can be blocked for all those pedestrian motorist, and for pedestrians.
did the game just update? Because I got a server error….
It kind of bugs me that the Springfield heights buildings don’t earn anything. They just take up a lot of space. Also- is there an “ending” to the SH update? In other words: what happens after we build all of the buildings, etc? Will the furniture store, coffee shop, etc be useful as anything other than crafting places?
I’m hearing you. I just got my first “over the limit with decorations” warning from EA – BUT, I cannot delete the SH buildings. They are what is putting me over the limit, but they cannot be deleted. Fortunately, they can be stored, which is what I am doing.
From what I’ve heard, stored is sufficient. The limit only pertains to items placed in the game, not those in inventory.
it you just reached 4500 objects, no worries… you got a long ways to go before before you’ll notice any performance hits.
Hi Jack, they are just patches (fixes) the try to correct the problems with this update. So you won’t see anything, but hopefully glitches you r having will go away,

Hi Merry, I have two of Brandine’s kids they just show up when time is up. They aren’t babies they walk around town you get cash, but no tasks for them.

I have a few neighboreenos who have abandoned their towns. One of them is my boyfriend, who hasn’t touched his town for over a year. I’m his only friend haha. I’ve long ago tapped all his buildings and there weren’t any more to tap. Recently when I visit his town, some buildings are available to tap. They’re not new buildings, he still hasn’t been in his town, so what’s happening?
I’ve noticed the same with my inactive friends. It seems to correlate with new updates/ events when there’s fresh places to tap.
The buildings periodically reset, something like sixteen weeks. Or an event resets them, etc. The tap ball event reset most of my dead neighbors, but one didn’t.

The towns reset every time there’s a major update (event starting or ending, etc.).
My Brandine has about 25 days to go on her birthin’ task. What happens at the end? Does she go to the hospital or something, or does the kid just appear?
She gets the thumbs up-task finished. Then you have a kid who wanders around earning cash every 8 hours (I think). No tasks, they just wander. Brandine is allowed three kids before being sterilised lol.
npc kid appears that generates money every so often, not certain the intervals but think it goes up to 500 bucks

I have had three big updates in the past few days, theyve each logged me out and were 300 plus mb, but nothing is new…if this happening to others?
Yup. Happened to me too. No idea why, I didn’t notice anything new, no changes.

Been playing since just before Xmas last year and premium since, I dunno, Feb or March, got almost all playable characters now. Maybe six shy.

Don’t wanna say too much, but if two of the things I have saw/ heard from unreleased, but in game files come true, it’ll be pretty damn good for keeping some folks happy and having a lot less RSI on tapping fingers 😉

Maude has a few tasks. She talks to Ned (requires Ned), takes revenge on Homer (requires Homer), haunts Springfield, goes to church, tells kids there’s no Heaven.
If you don’t have alien, unless they changed this, you can obtain him if you are brave enough to explode your town and rebuild. Saw a youtube video that demolished their town, and right away the alien appeared stating it survived the blast or something. Not 100% sure if this still works as I have my alien.
Kodos was released for July 4 because she was involved in the questline for Nixon. Kang was rereleased this past Halloween, and who knows if they’ll release him again or not.
Maude has many tasks, but several of them are joint tasks.
Father Sean was rereleased last year during two sales, so it’s hard to say when or if he’ll be for sale again.
The character I REALLY hope they offer for sale again is Kumiko. CBG is lonely!

Does anyone else wish the animals (Mr. Teeny, Stampy, and Jub Jub) had more task options? They always throw my schedule off. I’d love to see a zoo-related event that included them and unlocked 1-, 4-, 8-, and 24-hour tasks for all of them.
I biggest wish is that Stampy could have an outside job by himself. But yeah, I’d love it if they all had more tasks.

This may be alittle late but is any one else bummers that the Tap Ball stadium just sits there now? We all or time in to make it took really cool and now it’s just there with no pay out or any sorta purpose.
I’d be fine with no payout if it had actual brown dirt instead of green grass….just sayin.
Soooo bummed that I inventoried it for awhile. Hopefully that will keep me from getting the warning about too much stuff in Springfield.

Yeps. I’d like at least a “Wins” declaration, where the Monsarno building had it’s upgraded level stated. Something to show our awesomeness. That, or still being able to play. If we win, we get balls released in our town. The more wins, the more balls. Just for fun, no xp or money, but…we all loved the balls, right?
if you took time to make it look really cool, then you fulfilled its purpose: to add to the appearance and design of your town. prior to the tapball event, my town seriously lacked athletic related stuff, so the addition of all these sports buildings and decorations inspired me to make a ymca sports complex, complete with tapball stadium, football field, and obstacle course. the whole thing sits on a giant plot of land, generating zero income, but honestly i could care less. besides the fact that i already have more than enough buildings and characters with payouts, the way the complex contributes to the look of my town is more important than any other factor for me.
the same goes with the stuff from the terwilligers event. i took a lotta time to make my mont sarno research campus/community, and i’m not gonna scrap it all simply because the buildings (other than the hq) don’t have a payout. just think of it as an area filled with lots of decorations, like you would do to create a rural farmland or forest or whatever.
Hear, hear, Tape – I feel the same way! I like my Monsarno complex and Tap Ball stadium, even if they don’t earn anything. I’m trying to make a nice little town, which requires some variety…only so many bars, coffee shops, restaurants, prisons, etc. one town can support!

I am definitely a Homer. I started in the nuclear industry in 1976 in the Navy as a Reactor Operator on the USS Enterprise (she had eight reactors to power the ship and launch the jets off her flight deck). After that it was Electrical Engineering degree and then 26 years working in the Chicago area as a Control Room Supervisor and Engineer until I retired at 55 in 2013.
Now I just play TSTO while I play the stock market game.

If you have a tablet/smartphone, you can download the FX NOW app. Every episode for free. You just need to login with your cable/dish provider I’d and password. May be a USA only thing, though. I was finally able to see Mrs. K’s last few episodes this weekend. I miss Edna…
Is there any possibility of a bookstore? I know Lisa doesn’t order from Amazon, she would support a local indie. And so far there are two book destroying machines….

We have a book store in Portland, OR called Powells. It’s quite famous. It’s the kind of place Lisa would love. Multiple floors of actual books. A parody of this store would go perfectly in Springfield.
I’ve been there one time in 2000! I loved that book store, definitely Lisa’s kind of place.
I’m finding Springfield Heights slow going at the minute. Haven’t had the time to really play much more than once a day recently and only managing to visit my neighbours about 2-3 times a week. Haven’t yet got enough xp to level up to 55 either. Damn work and real life.
I just have this feeling that level 56 will hit this week, what does everyone think will come with it?
Judging by past updates I’d say that’s a week or two off still.

Things i would like to see changed:
It takes too long to earn boardwalk tiles. They should make it so each tile only takes a day. They’re already expensive, so they shouldnt take several days each.
I wish we would get some more stuff for krustyland. I hate that they just gave up on it.
There needs to be more ways to earn real estate points. Cookies task is useless and upgrading buildings takes too mich work.
I also think we should be able to buy resources for in game cash.
Lastly, they need to update the prize box. Im tired of winning ondas and klav kalash stands. The occasional 10 or 30 donuts are nice though.
I also want to say that tsto is more fun because of the addicts team and the community on the site. I would have wasted so many donuts had it not been for the “should i buy” posts.
Disagree on real estate points as this is supposed to be a long term thing. Squiport and krustyland, I hear ya.
I heartily agree with you about Kristyland and the prize box. I’d like to see Krustyland included in quest lines, and new content and characters added. Though I’d settle for more items available to place there and unlocking existing characters to visit. And as for the prize box, I’ve now received six Lard Lads, a dozen minnow ponds, and no donuts. Reaching day five is not exciting anymore.
Yeah, but they updated it already this year after like 4 years, I just wish there were more freemium items/decorations, so like fences and trees and stuff which are actually useful.
I got 30 donuts from the box, the other week. I think it was the first Mystery Box after Tap Ball. Maybe it was a glitch. 😉
the potential for donuts or a boost to the bonus multiplier is always exciting for me… having multiple lard lads stored away in my inventory is a fair enough trade off in my book.
Agree with boardwalk tiles. Wish they would bring back tile glitch as a way to earn them faster. 3.5 days is ridiculous. I am glad they finally upped the number you can own since they kept adding items to place on squidport but had no place to put them. As for Krustyland I would of liked them to focus on it rather than the Springfield heights update. My KL looks pretty good but still have lots of open space that could be used for an update and hold several items.
Let’s wait until I finally win lard lad donuts….

Has anyone figured out how all the parts if the modern mansion are supposed to fit together correctly? It seems most of my friends have just given up and jam everything together to get the mist in to reach the 1 billion mark, but I’d rather have SH look good than just gave it a dumping ground.
I figured it out from other Springfield. If you have room on your friends list and want to add me you can see mine if you don’t see it in os. (Add a 4 to my name here if you go that route.)
It’s funny – I’m so spoiler-adverse that I’ve been avoiding looking at Springfield Heights in my Other Springfield (or too many other people’s SH), for fear of seeing something I haven’t gotten to yet in my own game! (I also scrolled quickly past the pictures in the posts on this site about the different upgrades.)

You might be. I was avoiding spoilers before I unlocked my SH and before I progressed far enough into the storyline to see all the main dialogue and have the most understanding of how SH worked. Approximately as far as the smart devices. After this I am full on not worried about spoilers. I’ve even gazed upon the $Bn Haven. 🙂 (I’ve never seen Paris walking around, though…)
I’m a slight bit adverse to putting any thought into the designs I see. Probably because I haven’t really designed my own SH yet, then it’s kind of a designing spoiler, to me. lol.

Are you serious? I haven’t gotten the lake yet and I didn’t get to go on all those nice little vacations! But, then again, I’ve been focusing on making it a nice, “logical” neighborhood as I go, so haven’t been hoarding a lot of stuff as I go. (I probably won’t ever upgrade all of the nice beachside condos ask the way…I like having different designs of it in my game and don’t think I’ll ever want more than one or two of them at the max level.
I’m not playing SH to “win,” so to speak…taking my time with this one.
i want the different level of condos as well, just without the upgrade icon bouncing all around. give us the skins for every level please EA, and while you’re at it do it for the money mountain as well. seriously, why bother creating such nice designs for each level if you’re gonna prompt us to upgrade and lose them every chance we get?
Once you’ve gotten everything you want in Springfield Heights, just spend down your currency. When you can’t afford any more updates, all of the bouncy icons will go away! 🙂
You don’t have to level up all the things to level 5. I got to a billion and have the buildings in every level. I hit level 5 in both mansions for all 10 each. < just for the extra pieces.

Also spend your sofas on the gold tree that cost 150 sofas. That gives you the best real estate profit! And boy do you end up with tons of sofas. I may have like 75 gold trees and nothing to do with them.

sandra, that’s a temporary solution at best. the icons will come back and haunt you every time something new is released for SH, or simply when you wanna craft more SH decorations. besides, i’m not one to let my coffers sit there empty while they could be full and ready to be tapped when necessary.
it just sucks that the developers create such fantastic looking designs for each level, only to naggingly prompt us to upgrade without providing a way to downgrade or decide on our own which level we wanna display. i like the monty moneybags skin for burns, but i LOVED the construction crane that appeared in previous levels of the money mountain, and now regret upgrading it all the way (hardly use the moneybags skin either). if they are gonna continue to provide us with these upgrade opportunities, then like the radioactive man statue, they should really let us choose which version we wanna use… especially when the last level arguably isn’t the best looking (or too freaking tall!). i can only hope that enough people request/complain about this issue for ea to actually do something about it.
Have you posted to the EA site? I would think that would be a better place for folks to get their attention about that than here…

Just popping in to say thanks to all my neighbors. I play this game to inspire and be inspired by all the players and their designs. Thanks to the Addicts team for giving us a place to share our Springfields. Oh, and Alissa, as a fellow Jerseyan born and raised, I’m leaving one friend spot open for you. Ha.
Does anyone have any hints on how to obtain cell phones, pills and mats without using up the other items simultaneously? Seems to be hard to gain the necessary items in order to proceed. I know I’m just missing something but don’t know what. Any suggestions will be appreciated
Try only collecting coffee, mats and chairs and leaving the phones, pills and statues alone for a few hours while watching tv or something. You’d be surprised how many you can collect when you’re not using them for other resources. Then once you feel you have a pretty good stockpile start collecting the other 3 again.
One tip I figured out is to focus on one thing at a time. For example, I wanted to open up more land, which required getting lots of mats. So I stopped making pills until I had gotten everything I needed with mats (land expansions and some building upgrades). Now I’m going to focus on pills, so most of the mats I’ll be making will go to support the making of pills now.
However, if you’re willing to sit and play steadily for a while, because of the time differential required to make the various items, you should still amass the lower-level items while making the higher-level items, albeit slowly, since you can make them faster than you can spend them to make higher-level items.

I made sure i maxed out coffee, yoga mats and furniture so when it was used to earn other things i could earn it back right away. Its one of those things that either takes a lot of time or a lot of days to do. The hardest are the pills and statues because they take a long time and use so many other reaources. Theres really no trick. The average person will need months to upgrade everything, which i think was the point of this expansion. I just hope we dont get another massive event right away so we can focus on Springfield heights.
i usually give myself a head start on the items required to make other items.
for example, right now i’m holding off on making award statues so i can stockpile some pills. when i have a good amount, i’ll start on the statues and also continue making pills.
it seemed to work with the other “lower” materials as well.
required some patience though! lol 😊
When you get to the Theatre, only send Bumble Bee man (if you have him) to collect statues. All the other resources apart from furniture are used far more frequently for upgrades, and statues consumes both pills and phones.
I have contacted EA about my missing donuts and so far have not heard from them any clue as how to get my donuts back I’m missing 90 of them 😬
Only through EA…try the chat option or the call me option. Call me isn’t available today (since it’s Sunday).

i agree. i am from the us but living in asia, and the call me option is not feasible. unless i stay up late, the reps i get on chat are all from Asia as well, and don’t seem to be in the position of restoring donuts when the party line reads “a patch is coming.”
i did stay up late on friday to chat during U.S. hours and that rep told me a patch would be released in 48 hours. well. 48 hours later and there’s still nothing (i know – addicts say a patch won’t restore donuts and they can only be done manually. was giving EA another shot to make it right on their own).
if anything, it has broken my addiction to tapped out and desire to purchase premium items (with my real money). going away for a week-long vacation and plan to uninstall it for the duration.
Hey, I am in Lithuania and got my donuts back from an Asian chat assistant at EA in about 10 minutes. He had to get a specialist to restore the donuts, but no problem at all.
EA is pretty dumb to be ignoring users like you. You’re the few, the spendy, the whales (or mini-whales).
I was hoping the addicts could help answer this, have any of these recent patches fixed the disappearing storage glitch?? I have almost all the SH land and it’s packed full. I’d like store store my level 1 and 2 condos and some business centers that I don’t plan on upgrading further and actually design SH! So far I’ve designed the coffee shop with lots of hipster fauna and I made a pretty cool playground for the Montessori school and made a space for El Chemistri with a valet but that’s it. No room for anything else!
I believe that glitch has been patched. Unfortunately, I misplaced where I saw that notice posted. You can believe me, but I’m just some guy on the internet. I haven’t tried it myself.

I’ve been having the same pizza toppings for over twenty years and got bored, but I don’t know what to try instead.

The most delicious pizza I’ve ever had was chicken, feta, carmalized onions and bbq sauce instead of pizza sauce. Sounds awful but it’s sooo good.

My suggestion is start with the sauce. Find flavours that go with the sauce you are using. A different sauce means different toppings. If I tell you to use ham but you use a sauce good for sausage, the pizza won’t taste good. If you have a good tasting dough, then instead of making a heavy US style pizza, make something more like foccaccio, where you replace the tomato sauce with good quality olive oil and smaller quantities of roastable toppings like onions, olives, pepper, sausage, etc.. Now Camogli had a shop that sold foccaccio that was heavy like US pizza but olive oil instead of tomato sauce. Was swimming in oil, but very, very tasty.
US style pizza? bro no offense, but my guess is you don’t have much experience eating pizza here……
What is a “U.S.-style pizza”? Chicago deep-dish? New York hand-tossed? New York “Greek-style”? Rhode Island rectangular “bakery-style” pizza? California-style pizza? (I could go on, but I won’t.)
My US experience is over 20 years old, so anything could have happened since then. Here in Eastern Europe, pizza is very profitable – a thin crust, a splash of painted sauce, a few pieces of each topping, and a high euro price. This is supposed to be ‘Italian style’. Sure wasn’t when I was in Italy in ’81. And Pizza Rustica in Paris in 2012 wasn’t what I remember from Rome either. US style covers the entire crust with sauce and toppings, without skimping. Needless to say, the crust is the primary flavour here, whereas US style has a more balanced flavour. I personally make deep-dish pizzas that weigh about 7 pounds a pizza. We had deep dish here in restaurants for a year or two, but slowly got skimpier and skimpier until it disappeared. Haven’t found it since. Very few places here make a pizza with a balanced flavour. My pizza favours Pizza Hut in the ’70s and ’80s. What Pizza Hut serves in Lithuania now tastes nothing like that. Can’t say if that represents current US flavour or not. If it does, my condolences.
US style pizza is heavy on the grease and has cheese and pepperoni on top of a red sauce. I’m sure that s/he means classic US pizza. Something obviously not from the Motherland, and not a specialty type like Chicago style, and definitely not a new trendy style (something s/he didn’t want, specifically).
Motherland??? We are not, have not been, and never will be Russian. We are Balts and our language is the oldest spoken language according to word forms in Europe. And all three Baltic States are part of the Eurozone, not just the EU. In addition, all three are Western Christian states, not Eastern Orthodox. But at least you found us on a map.
As to grease, thin pizzas can also be greasy. Here they use cheese product (i.e. cheese made from vegetable oil) and mayonnaise (called garlic sauce) as toppings to cut costs. I avoid these like the plague, but they still taste better than what Pizza Hut is serving here.
My favorite pizza is hawiian! Pineapple ham and bacon is delicious together!
Ricotta, eggplant, and artichoke hearts. Yum!!
Spread out pizza dough pretty thin.
Cover it with your favorite BBQ Sauce.

Well, finally got EA on the chat line. Got my donuts back but no compensation of extra donuts. Nice Indian served me.
Yesterday I finished the SH quest and got the billionaire’s paradise or whatever it is. Just a decoration, no payout. Paris Texan, oddly is freemium, not premium. So only 70 dollars for walking her dog an hour. Animation has so far not been special. The current joke is that she is going to ‘class up a party’, only she never gets there, even after 12 hours. Thought women asked for directions. No discount offer on the Rich Texan or even a recommendation to get him. Can’t stand the audio, so won’t get him without a discount. As to what was left over to yet upgrade,
Classic mansion 4 at level 4
Valet parking, 1 at lvl 3, 2 at lvl 4
business centre, 4 at lvl 3, 3 at lvl 4
modern mansion and deluxe condo, all at lvl 5
Hope that gives tappers an idea of how much space they have to play around with if they get a bunch of decorations. Will still upgrade the rest of the classic mansions since these involve extra parts. And I am still crafting decorations like walls. So my total is still going up, but no sign of bonuts. Am hopping the extra will not disappear with the next SH task. But no push now, just entertainment when there is a film on, for example. And I can finally get rid of some of those quest lines on the left side menu. Enjoying the freedom. Hope there is no event for a while.

An accidental 2 donuts for Otto one time. Slowed down my tapping afterwards. I also bought the four premium characters I was missing, so after the first day, I was producing 7 units per time, which helped considerably (30 per cent faster), as I have noted in a previous post. Other than that, just tapping around 16 hours a day. I wish Apple would make their iPad more water tolerant. Navigating on a wet screen is near impossible. Still, washing dishes was more fun with the iPad next to me. Didn’t get much else done, which is why I hope there is not another event any time soon. Of course, I multi-tasked, i.e. went for the high cost units and used the extra lesser crafting units to upgrade lower levels. Dropped down only for a few hours to generate more yoga mats, but more RE points come from pharma and statues, so soon went back to those. And whatever couldn’t be used for upgrading, I used for decorations, mostly furniture. So I have 200 fence units, 20 gates, 30 fancy gold trees, 100 lampposts, 47 gold palms, 78 jet skis, 200 palm trees, 51 gold plants, 201 small plants, 2 SH gates, 3 stairs, etc. Telephone generation slows coffee generation, so I stopped using telephones as I needed coffee for higher upgrades. Hope that helps. It’s a long haul, but feels good to be free afterwards.

Oh, forgot I bought Banana Dictatorship at the beginning. EA had eaten 30 donuts and I wasn’t going to lose another 30 for nothing. So that helped at the beginning, but the RE points were way too low for the rest; should have been about 10m points for 100 donuts. I concentrated on unlocking workers as fast as possible. About all I can think of at the moment.

16 hrs a day? Yeesh….I feel cooked at 12 to 14. And tapebelt, I mean nonstop in terms of I’m human and play nearly nonstop within the confines of you know, a day where I still sleep, eat, and clean myself. I’m not Bart with his “I clean myself with a rag on a stick” 🙂

16 hrs a day is crazy, i usually can’t play more than 16 minutes at a time before i get interrupted by something more pressing (which really, is everything else, heh). but yeah, i definitely have some neighbors that seem to truly be playing nonstop, as they are already part of the billionaires club.
I’m going to Disneyland for my birthday in 2 days! Granted, I’m going to be 27 years old, but I’m pretty excited!
Has anyone been to California Adventures? I’ve never been… anything anyone thinks I shouldn’t miss doing there?

do the animation academy. even if you can’t draw a stick figure, you’ll be able to draw what they show you. it’s the one attraction that’s almost never full and a nice break from the heat. it’s actually my favorite, and im heartbroken that they’re taking it out of WDW.
radiator springs racers is great too. get a fast pass early (they run out within an hour or two) or do single rider. one of my favs.
toy story mania also can’t be missed. they will usually give you a toy to play with in line.

There’s so many things I want to see. I was just looking up the schedules for the parades. I’m going to be hopping from park to park. I just hope I can do it all. The good thing is that they will be open from 8am-12am. But am I going to be beat at the end of the day!

Cardland is awesome of course, try to see it during the day, and at night when it’s all lit up. If you can, be there exactly at sunset, right in front of Flo’s. That’s when they turn on the lights and it’s really cute. It’s not a huge thing but one of those magical Disney moments that gave me chills.
It gave me the chills reading it! I’ll definitely try to make time for that if there isn’t a parade I’m at during the sunset time.
I was only there once, years ago, but I love watching the video for the World Of Color show on YT. Fountains and lights and colors and projections on water, so cool. You can buy a pair of light up ears that synch up to the show and blink in time to the music. I haven’t seen it in person, just enjoy stalking it from my couch when I need a Disney moment. 🙂
But if you’re wearing the ears, you can’t see them blinking!

How often, on average, does EA drop a new level? I finally have enough money for “Dora” but I’m afraid if I buy her and the next day there is a new level, I could have got her cheaper if I waited.
