Just got back from the local Comic Shop, Giant Robot Comics, they have a display set up for people that want to trade in open blind boxes. Anyway long story short, they had a Simpsons blind box Sideshow Bob, so obviously I just had to grab it. Comes with detachable rake also 😀

Hey there… was wondering if anybody had heard whats going to go on in SpringField Heights after the event is over. Are these buildings going to start producing cash or are then just going to sit there and look pretty cause if thats the case I can see the wrecking ball moving in really quickly and real-estate values plummeting.. might even park Cletus’ farm right smack dab in the middle of it! 😉

Since it’s an expansion and not an event, I don’t think there is an “over,” per se, anymore than Squidport or Krustyland is “over.”
Maybe “over” was the wrong way to put it .. after you earn the Billionaires Haven? I mean at least SOME of the buildings in Squidport and Krustyland make money wereas so far the only thing that does that in SH is the Schoolhouse
It’s not an “event”, it’s an “expansion”. It’s here to stay and nothing changes automatically. EA might decide to change it in some way, but it would probably stay where it as and as it mostly is.
Well the “event” i was referring to was when youve gained the Billionaires Mansion .. I could have definitely worded that better yes.
But if youre right I can see alotta wrecking balls coming out after that… thats some prime money making real estate take up by a bunch of pretty buildings

Sorry for reading that wrong. I get it. Like, you can convert tickets to cash at the end of KLand, you can try to win donuts after all friend prizes are won with your neighbor visits, etc…
I haven’t hear anything from those that got the $Bn Haven. So, it appears that the answer is still “nothing”. 🙁 Like you say, only the opportunity to reclaim your precious real estate!
I’m tapping away at SH when I can .. What I’m wondering is why do the buildings once upgraded to level 5 have to be so stinkin tall?? Also who needs up to 10 of some of them??

hey – sorry, not sure the right place to post but has anyone nuked their town since the SH update? i still have like, 6 days on some corn but i was already thinking of nuking before the update and now since the update feel like i really need to re-adjust my springfield (would be 1st time since i started in 02/14).but was curious if anyone can confirm it shouldn’t “mess” things up? thanks
It will. It will ruin your corn. So wait till that’s done. Also if your Brandine is pregnant she will be stored too, and you’ll have re wait for her baby! Everything gets stored but The Krusty Van, Squidport Entrance, The Simpson House, and the Lemon Tree. So nuke with caution. Because nukers remorse is totally a thing. I speak from personal experience.
You do plan to wait at least 6 more days, right? I’m pretty sure that nuking your town would reset Cletus’ farm!
I’m building up to my Nuke.
Like, I’m going to do it tomorrow. But then tomorrow comes and I’m in the middle of a build. So I’ll do it tomorrow…
I keep taking screen shots of bits of mine I like and bits of neighbour’s that I like. The nuke is imminent. I can feel it. Maybe this afternoon!
I’m only a Level 29 so haven’t got any of the problems you do, except the apprehension of nukers remorse! 😛
So hopefully this is the right place for this ques, I’ve noticed that some of my neighbors have 2 squidport entrances. Is this a level thing?(I’m on lv53) or is this something that I missed out on in the past??
Not a thing unless you mod or hack the game. The Squidport Entrance is a unique item.
I guess that makes sense as these neighboreenos have LOTS of premium stuff and hit over 1billion$ the first day of SH, thanks thou Wookie I appreciate your reply
Is anyone else having a land issue in SH? There is a space between the institute of technology and the pharmaceuticals plant, but I cannot move the two buildings together or put a small building between them, though there is plenty of space.
Did you remove ALL the lil tiny decorations from the plot?

Lol. I have NEVER bombed my town. Well I have and had nukers remorse. I called EA to un-nuke it. Lol. Took like five days but they put it back for me. That was right after Terwilligers. But it’s mostly been built as I go. Just moving things as I got more land. (; but thanks.
I think your town is pretty sweet too. I’ll check it out multiple times throughout the day and week because your a new neighbor. Lol.

I learned about your “generic name for day off”. That’s interesting that every province has it’s own name for the day. I can’t imagine a national holiday in the US having different names based on which state.
What name does your province use?
BC Day, since I’m in British Columbia, but I moved here from Ontario just a few years ago and it’s called the Civic Holiday there. It’s all very confusing. The move to BC caused some other problems too, such as our love of the Maple Leafs being not QUITE as accepted as it was back home lol. Damn Canucks fans…

Thanks for the add simp7fan! 😊 I always keep a full friend list for the star rating but if someone I recognize adds me I usually have a few people who haven’t played in over a month that I delete.
Anyway, I grinded away all weekend and went from 50mil to 81mil…not that impressive for a few days of work. I really want the lake but the mansion isn’t very exciting. The billionaires haven is amazing but I’m trying to not even think about it.
I think the lake would look a lot better in regular Springfield though. I also put the furniture shop and pill factory in regular SF because they don’t really go in SH.
I moved over all the mansions, El Chemistri, Vulgari, the Minimum security prison and Radioactive man mansion and statue to SH. However I kept Burns manor in regular SF partly because I spent so long building a rounded driveway and partly because I can’t see it all fitting in SH. Planning on giving him the BH when I unlock it too.

I like some of your changes. I’ve seen Pharmer’s in SF but it looks a little plain or odd for some reason. Most of the new SH buildings’ style doesn’t seem similar enough to me. Burn’s Manor doesn’t seem as spiffy as the other SF buildings (but that’s where I moved mine…oh, yeah, ignore my SH completely!).
I’ve stopped worrying about SH for the moment. I’m trying to retain my sanity. lol. Ignore the lols…I’m not actually sane. 😉
Lol well you’re one of the only people I have on my friend list that I recognize from here so thought I’d say thanks 🙂 and no worries, I don’t judge people based on their towns, have you SEEN my SH? Total disaster zone. I’ve given up on trying to make it organized until they fix the storage glitch (I feel like a broken record and like I’m the only one who’s complaining about this…)
Well, that is indeed nice. You’re much more thankful than I. I am thankful, but I mean literally. I believe I have like 5 people from here as neighbors. It is fun to see their comments instead of just the voiceless towns that the game provides me. Real is good.
I haven’t looked at your town, too close, especially not SH. So, no worries with that either!
I thought the storage glitch was fixed… I’m just not going to store anything from SH either until I have that reconfirmed.

Keep progressing through the level questlines, they will trigger eventually.
After waiting about a week for a missing donuts patch I went ahead and had a chat anyway. I was helped straight away and the missing donuts were added immediately. The smoothest EA chat so far… 🙂 Glad I went ahead with it. Previous chat experiences have been a little frustrating so I wasn’t too eager but glad I did.

Etamni did pop in a while back to update us… Due to other life/work priorities, etamni is out of the game indefinitely and encouraged us to go ahead and remove his/her town for now.
oh boo! I noticed Etamni hasn’t been around and was hoping it was just a vacation thing.

I’m sad to hear this, on a related note proffrink2014 accepted me when I just started, has been an amazing neighbor-eeno from the beginning in all ways, has (notedly) been a player from the beginning and just stopped during Tap Ball. They were daily to now 5 weeks absent, anybody know anything?

Soo in case anyone is wondering, they still haven’t fixed the disappearing storage issue. Just stored my level 1 and 2 condos, did some designing, checked my storage 10 minutes later and one of the level 2 ones was gone. Just checked the store and yup, there’s one available to purchase. My RE definitely wasn’t affected but this is so annoying. I’m never going to be able to make SH look good if I’m going to lose everything I store.
I don’t store these SH buildings anymore and so far has not lost any. But updates seemed to be happening frequently, I am not sure what are they trying to fix.
actually wish this glitch would affect me. wanna get rid of some of these level 5 condos…….

I had it happen a lot!!! I stored things just so my town would look nice. And I lost buildings daily. Built like 17 Condos, 23 Valets, and 34 Bussines Buildings. Helped me get to the top fast. Some are gone again but now it’s really like whatever.
wow your town is incredible! I roamed around for about 20 min and doubt I saw everything, there’s just so much amazing design!
I’d like to reset my level 2 condos to level 1–so they could be beach cabanas. Tried to sell them and you can’t.
When you store it do you also log out? By log out I mostly mean, exiting the game (not necessarily your Origin login). Or do you lose your buildings even if you store it, rearrange, place it, all in one sitting?
Just store them, and wait. No telling when or if you’ll get the glitch. But they do sometimes un glitch. I have 14 condos in my game. Level 1 and 2 are really cute!
Last week for many days I could hardly browse this site via my android phone browser as it keeps sending me to Google play urging me to install a 360 anti virus software for android phone. Very irritating.
That’s an issue with your device. You may want to find a virus program in tour app store. But if you can take a as of what pops up and email us at tstoaddictsblog@gmail.com we’ll send it to word press and ensure it’s not a breech in their system.

I had the same problem….I have 2 Antivirus programs on my phone so I know it wasn’t a virus. It would also try to get me to “claim” a prize and give my personal information. It only did it on this site and it almost got to the point where I wasn’t going to be able to visit anymore:(. So happy that it’s no longer doing it. Just thought I’d throw it out there though so you didn’t think you were alone with the problem:).
If that ever happens again send a screenshot to us in our email. I alerted word press about it and they said it wasn’t on their end..but still asked for a screenshot. So if you see it send one in and we’ll be sure to pass it along to them
I’m hoping that EA add a few new items for Furniture & coffee Items to buy in SH. I’ve got to the stage on both my games where they are just no use! I’ve stored more items than I ever care to retrieve. This includes fully upgraded buildings. Yoga mats are the problem – this needs to be a 5 min task not 8 minute. Both pills & oscars need those mats. I deliberately don’t tap on buildings with things I don’t want anymore, but at least 3 times a day I find it easier to clear all & reset my Springfielders, whilst also tapping on the buildings for SH items. I do this while visiting daily too!
Question…What happens if I delete my tap ball field? Will my rating go down and/or will the characters that have tap ball unifroms not be able to complete sports tasks? I feel like it takes up space and don’t want to keep it if u don’t have to.

The functions connected with stored buildings return when the building is returned to play. In any case, all the tap ball skins had two four hour tasks, one to practice tap ball, the other for their own sport. Only the latter has remained. So no need for the stadium.
As to Springfield Downs, try using the 2-1 odds. I am collecting at least 2000 dollars over my investment every day. How many other buildings have that high a payout? While it certainly appears to promote gambling (which is a great reason to remove it), the high payout shows that it is meant to be a fancy way of paying income tax, not gambling. All the odds pay out the same, just over differing periods. The related tasks will be restored when the building is restored from storage. In the meantime, you will see the task is locked at the bottom of the character’s task menu.
Springfield downs has the money earning chance, why would you want to delete it?
And I’m assuming you mean store, not completely get rid of it. If something isn’t in your town because you don’t have it or have it stored (basically if it isn’t visible) then no one can interact with it. So any people that come with that building initially would be stored and anyone who has a task there can’t do it.
Example: Flander’s house. If you store it Ned will also be stored. And Lisa has a task there with the boys to babysit. You couldn’t do that task since there is no house to go to.
Like most gambling, gambling in Springfield Downs is not likely to result in a net profit over time. Early in the game, I realized that I couldn’t afford to lose the money it took to gamble in the horses and, later, when I had plenty of money to burn, the possibility of hitting the jackpot was no longer all that exciting.
In the year that I’ve been playing this game, I’ve probably bet on the horses fewer than 5 times. However, I wouldn’t store Springfield Downs, because a) it provides some nice variety in my town and b) it gives some of my characters 2 or 3 hour tasks that they can do, which can be quite handy!
I am actually making money betting on the dogs. I assign numbers to the dogs based on their odds position (1,2,3,4,5). I don’t pay any attention to the names of the dogs. I keep track of which dog won and circle the number if I picked correctly. I have found one thing that seems to happen a lot. When the number 3 dog wins, the number 4 dog seems to win within five or six races. So, I play it. When I don’t see a lot of number 1 winners, I bet number 1. When I see a few number 1 winners out of the last few races, I bet number 2. It is a little game within the game. So far, I am making more money than I use to play.
Keep forgetting to mention. Paris Texan has a 24 hour task in the Billionaire’s Haven that earns 1 statue. The RE point tally is still going up. So I would guess they will be like XP points that will count towards the next project. That means accumulating points in the ‘off-season’ makes sense. Will also keep the 200 craftable item reserve topped off. And yes, everyone in this house agrees I play too much. But 16 hours does allow for short breaks. Sometimes they even let me out of the house.
I dont’ have anything to add, BUT I CAN’T BELIEVE IT, i actually just won 200,000 dollars on a Springfiled Downs bet. i hadn’t made a wager in about two weeks, about a month ago i won 12,000, but usually i always lose.
I just noticed the level 4 business center has a large feline (not sure which one) and a little blue bird on the top, I really like it that way so I`m not upgrading it to level 5 😛
That’s my favourite level too. Level 5 is awful.
Also level 5 condos look really stupid. A golden dolphin on the roof spitting out a waterfall into a hot tub. It looks much better at levels 3-4.
…I’m about 200 FP away from the angel and I was just clearing handshakes and not getting FP! What gives?

Hey Nini, this morning I went in and it was fixed. I guess it was just an temporary glitch? Didn’t hurt me too bad because as soon as I noticed it happening I stopped collecting so I only missed about 3. I hope you’re all fixed too!

I also just recently drug poor Alissa to Universal Florida so I could go through the complete experience of both sides of the Harry Potter Wizarding World. 😉
Yeah Bunny! Potter forever. I went to Universal the first year it opened and I’m dying to go back and check out the expansion. A local coffee shop had a HP art show recently and decorated with floating candles and served butterbeer and pumpkin pasties and polyjuice potion. I was lucky enough to pick up a piece of artwork and I have it displayed on my Dumbledore’s Office inspired mantle.
Longest day EVER. Universal just isn’t as magical as Disney…although the Simpsons stuff made up for it (a little bit). However I will say the butterbeer is delicious…(but the gray stuff at the Beast’s Castle in Disney is better 😉 )
ehhh i’m not really into reading fantasy anymore, but when i used to, game of thrones was more my cup of tea. been reading that song of ice and fire series since the first novel was released, just waiting for martin to ever so slowly release the books. i was in high school when the first harry potter book was released, so to me they were what they were: fantasy books for elementary school kids. i’ve heard the reading level increases in the later books as harry gets older, but it’s just not something i’d ever get into reading at this point. the movies, on the other hand, i’m sure i’ll end up having to see with my boys in the near future. likewise, i heard about the harry potter world that’s opening spring of next year at Universal Studios Hollywood, so i imagine i’ll make a detour there when visiting Springfield with the boys.
Some of the best fiction is written in the “children’s” market and can still be enjoyed by adults. The very best ones are written to be read on multiple levels. For example, check out The Phantom Tollbooth if you’ve never read it before. What can be read as a sort of “fairy tale” as a youngish child, can be re-read year after year, as more jokes “surface” the more educated you are. If you love wit and wisdom, I think you’ll find out well worth the relatively short amount of time out will take you to read it.
And, btw, the Harry Potter series has been enjoyed by countless adults of all ages. I thought the first one was good, but not great (mostly because I’d read a lot of great fantasy before), but, by the second book, I was well and truly hooked. And I like GoT, too!
sandra, do i sense a bit of defensiveness in your reply? like maybe the book club you head up specializes in children’s books? hehe but seriously, i agree with everything you said, i’m just not sure why you felt the need to say it. i read the phantom tollbooth as a kid, but simply have no intention or desire to read it as an adult, and the same goes for most of the books i read when i was younger. in a life filled with plans and schedules and responsibilities (and tapping out….), i only have so much time to sit down and read for pleasure. so when i do that, i wanna read adult level reading with mature content that’s probably not suitable for younger ages. so sue me!! 😉
but yeah, it’s not like i’m turning my nose up to juvenile fiction because i’m too old for it or whatever. it’s just not my thing to read children’s books, unless i’m reading to the kids. similarly, my wife and i probably wouldn’t watch big hero 6 by ourselves, despite it being a very fun and enjoyable movie; the same goes for most of the miyazaki films. but we’re all over those when we can watch them with our boys.
Seriously – re-read The Phantom Tollbooth…it’s a different book than what you think you read as a kid. You could probably read it all in one evening. You’ll thank me.

I have a question based upon comments I’m seeing on here. Is my real estate value based upon the SH items I actually have placed somewhere in Springfield or SH? Currently I’ve purchased all the condos and a couple of the other buildings but I’ve been keeping them in my inventory? Does that matter?
Real estate never changes. It’s like XP. Just keeps collecting up and up and up.

Is it just me or has anyone else experienced a glitch with the Kwik-E-Mart? When I tap on the Kwik-E-Mart for general info or to access the Scratchy Ticket I get the message that The Store is Retrieving Items…. After a few moments another message appears – D’oh! A connection problem occurred. The requested action failed. I then hit Okay and the normal screen for the Kwik-E-Mart appears. Annoying that I have to wait extra time to get to my Scratchy Tickets but at least it still shows up.
I get that sometimes too. it makes a weird horn sound & seems to freeze. If you give it a minute it will eventually load the lottery ticket screen. I have found that once it does it it seems to keep doing it so better to skip it for an hour or so & try it later.

Sorry if I’m late on this one, but I just noticed that you can overlap the fancy gold trees (the 2×2 ones). They have that little wall around the base of them that creates a continuous wall look when overlapped on top of each other. It is really a cool feature that I have never noticed before, makes me want a whole ton more of them..
So there is a lot I could complain about this update. Although it could be a little (ok a lot) better I am excited about all the new content. I’m happy to see they finally added one of my favorite characters. “Number 1 on the Westside.” Think she is long overdue. Welcome to the game e Cookie!
