Today marks the official 2 year anniversary of when TSTO Addicts was officially launched! We’re completely blown away by the AMAZING community of readers we have here at TSTO Addicts. We absolutely love what we do and really appreciate all of YOU!
Of course we’re no strangers to celebrating an anniversary around here! We celebrated our 1 month anniversary way back when, our 6th month anniversary, and our 1 year anniversary last year. We’re always celebrating little milestones with each other and we LOVE to share the bigger ones with you guys! After all YOU guys are the heart and soul of this community….and we wouldn’t have it any other way! So, Bunny, Wookiee and I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to our wonderful readers and share our thoughts on Addicts turning 2!
It’s seriously hard to believe we’re celebrating two years today. It really seems like just yesterday this “little blog that could” started as a crazy idea between my childhood friend and I. With no real thoughts that we’d be anything more than a tiny little blog about a silly little game, the past two years have completely blown me away! I’ve said this many times before but when we set out to create the site we wanted to be different. We wanted to do things no one else was doing. We wanted something with more personality. We wanted to laugh.
Now here we stand 2 years later and I think we’re continuing to achieved our goals daily!
But honestly, no matter what we do this site would not be what it is today with out you amazing readers! You guys make this place fun, we just supply the music and margaritas! We love each and every one of you for being here and being part of this AMAZING Community! 🙂
We’ve had a blast over the past two years getting to know many of you (our regulars) and seeing new “faces” popup in the comments. And when we get to see you and hang out at the meet and greets (or at baseball games ;)) it’s always a great time! You guys seriously make this place what it is…and have kept us going for the last two years. (Yes even with all the redundant questions in the comments 😉 )
Of course we’re the “baby” of the TSTO Community. There are several other TSTO blogs out there that recently celebrated their 2 year anniversary, and we consider them good friends! So we’d like to say a big thank you to:
Everyone over at TSTOTopix.me (new and old). In particular to Mike S and Em. Two of our good friends from way back in the Tapped-Out.co.uk days.
And Feelingblind over at TSTOgame.com. Fb is a good guy, who i’ve personally gotten to know and hang out with a few times over the last couple of years.
And of course everyone over at Tapped-Out.co.uk, where it all started! Addicts would not exist with out the awesome site that Tim created over at TOuk.
A big thanks to all of your for your continued support and friendship!
Of course I’m just 1/3 of this site…and it wouldn’t be nearly as much fun if I didn’t get to write and work everyday with 2 of my best friends! Bunny and Wookiee, I love you both like you’re family and I know our friendship will continue way beyond TSTO and into those days when you’re both living in retirement homes. Don’t worry, I’ll still come visit! 😉
Of course now Bunny and Wookiee want to have their say too!
First up, a word from Wookiee:
A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, I was a normal dude. Granted life was stressful and I needed something to distract me in my free hours but things were ok. Then I’m browsing the app store and see a game about the Simpsons where I could build my own Springfield. This seems cool. I could think of lots of items that EA should add but hey… new level… looks like they plan to add new stuff. I add a couple coworkers and tap along. Then my buddy, just for fun let’s call him Boscoe, tells me about a trick to add the Jebediah Springfield statue and some free donuts into my game. Cool! But where did he find that out?
Sorry to bore you with a little intro, but it is that single moment that led to today. I found a blog about TSTO which led to a social community about TSTO where I met dear, sweet Alissa. The blog led me to Flickr where I met the talented Bunny. Said blog went kaput and crazy Alissa decided she’d start her own, I joined in, dragged the cotton tail along and two years later… here we are still doing it. It’s been an interesting road with ups and downs. Essentially, once we found the format we liked for coverage, we’ve been doing it and im my opinion, doing it well. I am humbled by all the amazing tappers who give me the chance to write my thoughts and origin posts for this silly, little game. It’s definitely a labor of love that can be a bit daunting but worth it every time we help someone out or entertain them.
Thank YOU for reading our madness. Some have been here since the beginning, joined over the years (that still feels weird to write) or just recently drank the kool aid. No matter what, it’s You that makes this site possible. A huge wookiee shoutout to my two sisters from different misters. Even if this site collapsed tomorow, I’m privileged for meeting them and lucky to have made two very good friends. They’re the glue that keeps Addicts going while I pop in here and there. Much love to both of you ladies… to infinity and beyond even.
Not much else to say. The last two years have been fun and I’m looking forward to the next one. Stay classy, keep on tapa-tapa-tapping in the free world and much love from the walking carpet.

Hey there Hoppereenos!
2 YEARS!!! WOW! Has it really been that long? Is it possible to feel like it was just yesterday but that we have been a trio of silly Addicts forever? Almost like we grew up together. I guess you could say it was just meant to be. So much has happened in 2 years. I am still quite content and happy at the Lil Blog Family I have. My fellow Fuzzball and soon to be Momma Alissa. Best Friends separated up until…well… about 3 years ago. Lol. I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world.
As far as the site…The Addicts site has grown so much, but still feels like “the lil blog that could”. I can’t believe the amount of recognition for the site I get no matter where I travel from the West to East Coast. I love hearing Reader’s response to what we do for them here. How much it has helped their overall gaming experience. How it makes them laugh. Or how many new online friends they are now making (like a repeat of Wookiee, Alissa, and me.)
Outside of the site, I am still in awe at how recognized we are when I am in the real world. I just do not think of us as a “Big Thing”. Just more the “Small Mom & Pop Shop”. Many times, I see someone on our site as I am sitting at the Airport or in a Local Coffee Shop on my travels (Alissa teases me at my “People Watching”). I observe more out of curiosity. They are looking at what WE made. Kinda takes me by surprise to see it. Like it isn’t real.
Even though I should have probably been in the Hospital, I was determined to make our Meet and Greet in March and LOVED it! So many cool friends from the site. Putting faces to the Names. I got a kick out of just giving back to you all. I do hope we can do more soon after lil Momma pops.
All I can say is that 2 years in… I still LOVE what I do here. LOVE my fellow partners in crime. And LOVE LOVE LOVE all our Amazing Readers on this site. I have come to know a lot of you through the site and you now feel a part of the “Lil Blog Family” too. I feel amazingly blessed to have had all the opportunities in my life this Blog has brought me. I hope to continue going and going and going.
Here’s to another 2 years!!!

I made you guys a promise WAYYYYYY back in September of 2013: “My promise to you, our amazing readers, is to ALWAYS provide you with the best content in a fun way.” And now here we stand just about 2 years later and I think we’ve done a pretty good job living up to that promise!

I’m coming up on two years of playing. Started sometime before Halloween 2013 and I’ve been coming here for at least a year. I remember filling out the survey for your one year anniversary. While the game has had its ups and downs (in my opinion) your site has always kept it fun. Great job! 😀

Congrats to you all. I check your site at least once a day. You guys bridge the vast gap between what EA lets us know about the game and what we actually need to know to successfully navigate through the complexities of the levels, events, etc. And you deliver it in a patient and entertaining way that has not lost its fun spirit. I love checking this site daily, reading your posts, everyones comments, and participating in contests. No really, I do enough of that at my own house. Just instead of the garden and plants I have kids and cats. My daughter just turned 4 months old yesterday, August 13th. I have 2 cats. And I babysit my 3 year old brother and my friends 1 month old son. Usually all at once. All that and I still make time for my favorite game and blog each day.

Words don’t express how grateful I am to be part of this awesome community! I found u through a friend as I was going to quit playing due to frustration, and now a year & half later, here I am & have a great town, plus the bonus of making new friends that are as crazy as me! I’ve only been playing the game a little over a year, but it really opened up to me when I found your site (about 2mos into playing). You guys help make the events run smoothly for myself and my friends (I’m always forwarding your articles to them). Your wisdom and guidance through the rules is such a help. My OCD thanks you deeply for the detailed mechanics your provide for under the game’s hood. And just as awesome are the fun and entertaining articles you write about Simpsons (the game and the show)!

Congratulations addicts! Thank you so much for making this game so much more enjoyable (read less frustrating!). I always regret not checking here first whenever something new pops up in the game. You guys always have the best advice. I must admit that I never even watched the Simpsons until I started playing TSTO. It’s cool to see all the buildings and characters in my game in the show now. It really is interesting that there is so much content in 25+ years of TV and what they have already gave us in 3+ years of the game. So much more to come. We will keep doing it as long as we can. 😉

I almost gave up on the game when I started playing during the dreaded Valentine/Easter events of 2014. I luckily found this blog (after reading several others), only to realize that there were others out there who loved the show as much as me, and who had faith in the game too (despite the heinous wheel of prizes for Valentines or golden eggs worth crap during Easter). And sure enough, with time and regular playing, I’ve been hooked. This really is the place for the best and most funnest TSTO content.
Thanks for all that you three do. Also, I friggin’ love the pic used for this post. I’m thinking a it’s from an early season, before certain characters’ story lines were cemented (like a straight Patty flirting with Skinner, I see Todd but no Rod, and Florence of Arabia, was she ever seen in another episode?
ALissa finds some of the funniest pics for her posts. Definitely an older one. I love cranky old Grandpa on the outside of the party. Maybe he’s yelling at clouds. As for Princess Kashmir, she’s been in a bunch of episodes. SOme day, we;ll probably catch up and do her character post as she appeared 9 levels ago. Thanks for reading!

The whole experience has just grown wildly. I used to read simply for the facts of the game. But as you guys have expanded the blog, I thoroughly enjoy the community that formed.
