Of course I’ve been watching the game and the files all day…and when I take a break to listen to The Michael Kay Show talk about Yogi Berra, that’s when EA drops the episode tie-in (we’ve all been expecting) into our devices…
So…it’s Fall and that means and an all new season of The Simpsons will be starting up soon…which of course means, Episode Tie-Ins are back! For those of you that are newer to TSTO, Episode Tie-Ins are small updates that hit our games occasionally that tie-in with an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. Great way to get content from an upcoming show into our games!
Anywho…this one will auto-start with some dialogue between Marge and Homer. I’ll be back with some more details in just a bit…
A couple of free items and only 1 premium. Here’s a look at what’s included with this tie-in:
Initially you won’t see anything free with this…you’ll have to play through the questline to get it.
Oedipus Rx- $2,500, 24hr Build. 8×8 in size. This will unlock to build at Part 3 of Narcoelps-Zzzz.
Homer Dog- This is an NPC that’s awarded for FREE after you complete the Narcoelps-Zzzzzz questline.
Statue of Burns- 50 Donuts. Will increase your SH Real Estate Value by 800,000.

Although it looks like some of the pricing needs to be adjusted because he should pay at a Premium rate, and only Tongue Flick is showing the premium rate.

I noticed that Ralph has a new 4hr task “Swallow Coins” and Stampy has a 8hr task “Never Forget”
It’s good to hear that Ralph is not in the “60m or 6hr” range, and Stampy is also has new range instead of 16h or 24h.
Stampy got a new set of tasks now he doesn’t have to carry just bart or redecorate the Simpson house.
I was stoked to see Mr Teeny has more tasks. I’ve been attempting to continue expanding my monorail and that ties up Krusty. I immediately put him on a 24 hr task. Awesome.
What’s with all the buildings related to pills recently? Someone at EA is really addicted to something more than tsto….

I just wished that Mr. Teeny would get full questline. And Meggie would become full time character in the game.

I’m so excited if it does happen because then I’ll be sending my characters out on tasks a lot more frequently… Not sure how many I have, over a hundred likely, but sending them all on 4-hour tasks 3-4 times a day, too long!

It might be the first full week of October…but if it hits next week I expect it to be Thursday. If not the following Tuesday/Wednesday.
I have task manager via Office of Unemployment – Send all on XX hour jobs – comes with a price tag though, which reduces overall $$$ earned.

Barbarian n maude n the mutant rabbit finally have solo one hr tasks! Yay!
This definitely raises the Pet Shop’s chances of being a future purchase from me.
Love the new tasks, especially love the fact that Smithers and the Barbarian finally have independent 1hr tasks. Homer Barbarian has either 5 or 30 minute task. Akira and Shauna also now have a 1 hr task.
Am i the only one going to comment on the incestuous new building. “Mom and son pharmacy”. Lol nice Greek name to go along with it. Subtle guys.

So, since Jub-Jub is an item of discussion here, I’d like to ask a question. In some of my neighbor’s towns, I see two iguanas together frequently, but as far as I can tell, Jub-Jub is the only one available in the game and he didn’t have any tasks related to another iguana. Where did it come from? I just can’t figure it out. Or is it a different animal all together?

Not only do Jub-jub, Stampy, Mr Teeny, and the Mutant Rabbit all have full task lists, but I noticed several characters with dual tasks now have a second option for those task times! This is very exciting!
I noticed the statue is from the episode where he gives someone his book(forgot who he gave it to) and the book is called “Will there ever be a rainbow” I think lol…..And it has a image of him standing exactly like that.
Looks like Shauna got a solo one hour job, cyber bully, and barbarian for a solo one hour job, shapen sword.
Homer will sorely miss his skull drinking buddy….

Did Jub Jub have tasks previously? I thought he was just one of those pet characters that walked around and did an animation when you tapped them. I prolly would have bought him otherwise forever ago.

shaking my head why Alissa lets Trolls continue to comment. We may live in America (Alissa and myself) but just because the Pope is visiting doesn’t mean we have to kiss these Obvious Goat Getters’ (not the first term I thought of but a Goat Getter is someone that gets someone else’s goat like mine, Hey, where did my goat go?! 😛 ) foreheads. Since I do not have Shorties, Helen will get no Love/Joy from me anymore. She will replace Stampy as my 24 hr (time to tap neighbors) Alarm. I just hope she isn’t needed to start any future Level storylines (not likely since Timothy would be a more realistic choice). Thank you for your time. :p
Artie ziff can no do jury duty for 24 hours, as does Matt Groening. Cookie Kwan has a new eight hour job, and Helen Lovejoy finally has a 24 hour task being judge mental on the Internet.

Woohoo!! Soooo happy I can stop sending Teeny to buy cigarettes all day!! And I love animal NPCs so I’m very happy the dog is free. And I can finally send Stampy on some 8 hour tasks. Here’s hoping they introduce the job selector soon. Way more excited about that than the IRS building. I don’t mind tapping all my buildings but I HATE sending everyone on tasks one by one.

Lol – I just looked at your post more closely and saw that the building we get is a drugstore. The reason I’m laughing is that, when Marge told Homer to go to the drugstore to pick up the pills, the first thing I thought was, “Wait – we don’t have any drugstores in our towns!”
I think that too!! When I had a side quest where someone had to pick up ointment I actually followed where they got it (kwik-e-mart) for the same reason. I’m glad it’s not just me.
Yeah – those Kwik-E-Marts really have served as typical convenience stores, carrying a little bit of everything. But prescription drugs would be beyond their ability (although I guess the Sprawlmart could have had one, like my local Walmart does…).
Wonder if Snake is gonna start holding up the pharmacy for Oxy now? 😉

Well, I do admit to shopping at Wal-Mart (and their pharmacy prices are terrific), although I do waver about whether I feel guilty about supporting them. I’m not sure about the “people of Wal-Mart on the internet,” but I will say that I’m not obese (maybe about 10-15 pounds heavier than I should be) and I’m well educated and have a decent-paying white-collar job. (Not that I’m making any judgements against obese, poor people….just assuming that that’s who those videos might be making fun of, because I’ve seen a few images like that before. I especially abhor fat shaming, which it seems this society feels free to do in ways that people would never do about other physical characteristics that people might have.)

I did the update for IOS and my dollar signs all came back above my buildings! That was a welcome fix. Very excited to see new tasks for everyone, especially for the ones that can do tasks without a partner!
I’d love a send all and collect all button for characters and buildings! It’s so frustrating to clear a character and accidentally clear the building too, especially when the buildings weren’t regenerating fast enough lately.
I brought Teeny out of storage so he can finally do something other than buy cigarettes!
I’m hoping to start rearranging my town in the next week .. Just to let my neighbors know in advance.
