It’s Halloween in Springfield! And one of our favorite aliens has a costume available in our stores to get in on the Halloween fun! Now I know you may be trying to decide if these are worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Fairy Kodos to your Halloween party? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this wand waving Alien to your Springfield!
Character/Skin: Fairy Kodos
Donut Price: 40 donuts
Fairy Kodos leaves stores November 4th
Pros:
-Comes with a quest line
-Premium character earns 50% more on all cash and xp than a freemium character. The skin keeps that earning rate.
-Has all outdoor tasks, and one (spread glitter) that’s hilarious
-Reasonably priced for a costume
Cons:
-Will not help with the THOH Event
-Does not have a full set of tasks, just two tasks. (8hr and 24hr)
-24hr task requires Smithers.
Final Thought:
Premium or Freemium:
Honestly I think this one is great. The questline is funny and it gives Kodos some amusing outdoor tasks. At 40 donuts it’s reasonably priced and personally I think it’s worth it for this costume. Especially if you earned Kodos for free via crafting during this year’s THOH. While it is a bummer Fairy Kodos only has two tasks, the fact that they’re both outdoors is a nice bonus. This is one I’d say if you have the donuts, go for.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell I’ll most likely pick this one up. However, this IS a limited-time item. So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games at the end of Act 2.

Hard close and restart your game. Also try and uninstall/reinstall of the game. If that doesn’t work try logging in from another device…or if you don’t have access to one contact EA. Your town isnt’ lost. It happens to me often
Ya I did that works now Wahoo town back I’m on acer B1-810-17KK tablet 32gig thing awesome but wish had bit more ram. Paid 120 on Amazon for it

Yeah, her flying does get in the way, but where else are you going to find an alien in a pink fairy get up? Lol

My problem with the fairy is that I am running all the tasks I can inside so that my game does not close the app as much. I have no memory to spare. What was it we were talking about?
So, we basically pay 40 donuts for two animated tasks – one of which requires another character, the other interfering with gameplay much like (from what I’ve read in the comments) Arnie’s helicopter, which I’ve come to hate (especially during events). And none of them pay more than Kodos’s original tasks. PASS!!!
I have always been a freemium player but this bargain was too juicy to pass by. I bought it right away, no questions asked. XD
Got the Duff brewary and duffman, and also the aztec theater. So happyyy!! Totally worth the money :DD

I wasn’t planning on getting this skin it the smithers task has changedy mind.
I got it right away (of course). I’ve never been so 50/50 on a purchase. The task with Smithers made me bust up laughing as soon as I saw it. Probably my favorite job animation in the game. The other is an incredibly annoying flying task. Looks cool but really affects game play negatively. I released nightmares from my campfire and quit counting at 15 times it sent me back to the Simpsons house. Sometimes she was just coming into view, I would tap nowhere near her and boom, back to the Simpsons house. I would suggest getting this but wait until the event is over. Trust me, it’ll drive you crazy when yr trying for little bunnies.
Seriously? Kodos in drag flinging glitter with Smithers might be the BEST animated task yet! Totally worth it.
Kodos isn’t in drag, she’s female, so it’s normal for her to wear a fairy princess outfit. Well, normal-ish, she’s still an alien dressed as a fairy and that’s kinda weird. There’s an old episode (I don’t remember which one) where Kang refers to Kodos as his sister.
I love this skin! I bought Kodos last year and didn’t hesitate to pick this up. I have found it to be a bit tricky to maneuver around the 8hr task though. As I end up hitting it as I tap nightmares. And the smothers task is awesome.

Found costs to run XP Collider in the shop. 5 sprinkles for 24 hrs, 10 sprinkles for 3 days, 20 sprinkles for a week, and 25 sprinkles for 10 days. First 24 hours is free. While activated you earn 5 x the XP points.
I wish I found it in my inventory BEFORE i tapped all my buildings during one of my collections. lol, course these things always happen but I still have about a good 22hrs left with x5.
Just got an update that introduced the XP Collider, Earn 5 x the XP for 24 hours. Not sure of cost after initial 24 trial.
Has anyone else got the XP Collider? I just got it in one of my towns after I sent Homer off to end the gluttony quests.
I know people posted about an update already, but I think this might be a new one. Something about an XP collider that gives 5x the experience.

XP Collider: GIves you 5x XP gains for a period. First 24 hrs is for free from EA, but we don’t know how long it’ll last.

You can place the impossible tower on a boardwalk tile then remove the boardwalk so it floats next to the sunken tower

I guess i like Fairy Kodos. I feel bad for her. Smithers thought it was a dude look like a lady type thing! Is it just me or have things been gettin a tad bit sexual here lately!? Sheesh! Anywho- i think its a cool skin to grab up.I feel you cant lose out on skins. It makes the game a lil more fun to be able to theme things together in your springfield. Atleast i feel so… It was a must have for me. Especially for how (in my opinion) cheap it is!!

It appears that Kang has a scrowling eye (a mean eye). Kodos has a bright open eye. Kang is the male, mean. Kodos is the female, nice, or, less mean. 😉
I just set them both to “8-hour laugh” (evil laugh?), so I could compare. Their laugh seems identical, it’s only the eye that’s different.
I think i am going to purchase this outfit as i had saved enough donuts to buy kodos as i really thought she would be for sale by donuts and 40 is pretty cheap to see her fly around all the time too! Plus it’ll fit in nicely with Xmas just round the corner too.
Does anyone know what happens if you have both arnie pye and the kodos fairy flying at the same time?! Is it a game stopper?

Last year I had Arnie in the sky and Homer flying the sleigh at Christmas and they worked together. I’m guessing having both Arnie and Kodos airborne won’t break anything too badly. 😉
I bought it right away as this was too cute and the price wasn’t bad. I’m glad there’s a 24 hour test at premium payout.
When I saw it before She was available I thought I wanted it, but realizing it wasn’t free like Kang’s Pirate outfit I said ‘nah’.

But I hope this will Finally help people know which is the Brother and which is the Sister. Kang (Pirate) is the Male, Kodos (Fairy) is the Female. I know people will argue that a male alien can dress up as the opposite sex (This isn’t American Dad’s Roger we are talking about here).
Kang is Male, Kodos is Female (don’t believe me check Wiki) anyway, the outfits are kinda cute but if it doesn’t change the amount of XP, to me it isn’t worth it.
There is a Halloween episode where Kang introduces Kodos as his sister. But for the life of me can’t think of the episode. After all they’re are only 24 soon to be 25 Treehouses Of Horror.
I’m pretty sure that it’s the segment from Treehouse of Horror VII where Kang and Kodos disguise themselves as Bill Clinton and Bob Dole. “Don’t blame me, I voted for Kodos!”
I think you’re right, not sure if Kodos’ gender was referred to any sooner than that epi.. but wow, it took them about 6seasons (think that segment, Citizen Kang) was part of s8 and ToH began s2 to disambiguate her gender. There was also a cook, oh I wish they made him a character for the game.
Someone made the observation that Kang has a furrowed brow and Kodos eyes are full unless she’s blinking. So that helps to distinguish them.
I think it makes sense Homer WOULD vote for Kodos, Dan also voices her. lol

There is a chance that ea will give all these Halloween skins a full task lost right? Wasn’t princess Martin the same way at first and now he’s got one for all time periods.
There’s always a chance for anything. But I can tell you to purchase something based on the chance that they might add to it later…
I got Kodos this year and was disappointed that it wouldn’t have a 24-hour job because the crashed UFO will not be available. I think I’ll get this one to use during the downtime.

I just got an App Store update on iOS any idea why
That hit yesterday…did you get one yesterday too? If not that’s the one from yesterday.
I had an in app update yesterday and a mandatory app store update about half an hour ago.
The App Store update hit the markets yesterday afternoon around 2ish. So what you’re seeing is probably just that update that hit yesterday, it restores the unemployment building.
I bought this and I rarely by anything. Thus it was a treat for me. I love the character but I really did not like how the 8hr task followed me around town and often interfered with other things I was trying to do. Hopefully it was a glitch and is fixed. Thanks 🙂

True I didn’t like it when Kodos was flying and if I tapped within an inch or more of the character it would take me to the Simpsons house. I don’t think that’s a permanent task, is it?
