Update: The Awaiting Moderation problem should be fixed now. Let me know if you continue to see problems. One thing I will say is I didn’t see a message if I wasn’t logged into a WordPress account. So if you’re not seeing the message it could be because you’re not logged in….

Just popping in with a quick post about something many of you are commenting on (and emailing us about)….the Comment Awaiting Moderation message that’s disappeared.
Typically when you comment on TSTOAddicts you see a message that looks like this when you initially make a comment:
But since this past weekend, many of you have pointed out that the awaiting moderation message has disappeared…as has your comment. While we still see your comments on our end, you guys don’t realize they went through and often times will comment again (and again) or email us wondering if you’ve been banned for some reason.
Here’s the deal….this is a bug on WordPress’ end. It took a little while, but we’ve finally figured out (after working with WP) what’s happening and why it’s happening. So over the course of today I’m going to take the steps necessary to correct the problem. (unfortunately it’s not as simple as WP “flipping a switch”). So the site may look a little funky for a few minutes today…but all the content will still be there and by the time I’m done the “Awaiting Moderation” message will come back.
Sorry for the frustration and anger this may have caused some of you. I know we saw several emails from people wondering why they were banned from the site. I promise we haven’t banned anyone…it’s just a bug that we’ll now fix. 🙂

Aww , you’re very kind . Must be in countdown mode now right ? When you get to work , be creative and see how many ways you can find to shuffle paper and rearrange files while “trying to look busy” If all else fails , try “taking a piece of paper for a walk” it usually fools them…..
lol actually today is a really busy day. I’ve got a ton to wrap up. Plus a bunch of last minute orders from customers because they’d rather get them in with me than anyone else lol
Well, I have a WP account now, got a gravatar, and can now see pending posts. Also, I can finally “like” comments! Maybe I’ll comment less…. 📝 Speaking of which, sort for commenting so much in this thread…. 🙇

I feel stupid, when you create a WP account does that mean you now have a website of your own or just giving you the “freedom” to message on other people’s sites?
It gives you a your username.wordpress.com site, but that’s standard.
Leave the website blank if you don’t need it, like most people 🎃 🙂
Hey all! My internet’s been spotty all day for some reason, and I’m normally pretty diligent about reading all the comments, but today that’s almost an impossible feat.
Here are a couple of observations that I’ve made that I’d like to share with the group in case they’re helpful to anyone:
First, I’m not sure if anyone else is still able to upgrade the campfire strictly through zombies, but I seem to have lost it after yesterday’s Gil deal. Tapped over 800 zombies and not a single upgrade happened. So keep an eye on it and if it feels like something’s off, it probably is. My campfire’s almost level 60, so no big deal since I’ve had the same spawn rate since level 41. (Still 1:57, and thanks again to Sraige and tapebelt!!) If your campfire is below lvl 41, keep watch. Constant vigilance!!! (Sorry, had a Harry Potter moment there.)
Secondly, not only can the shopkeeper’s tasks be done at your own pace as long as they’re within the week, but apparently they can also be done out of order. I hadn’t sent kids to tell stories at the campfire, as I needed a day to grind for monorail tracks and bonuts, but I still completed the day 4 task of tapping zombies. Now they’re both complete, but I did take a screenshot of day 4 complete and day 3 incomplete, in case anyone needed “proof.” (Pics or it didn’t happen, and all that nonsense.) 😉
Hope these 2 notes aren’t redundant, and if they are, my apologies!
Alissa, congrats on your last day of work tomorrow!!! Thanks for all you (and Bunny and Wookiee) do, and don’t worry about the naysayers not liking the new look of the page. I’m not a fan either, but I also know that’s on me, not you. Not a fan of change, but even less of a fan of you guys getting grief over the site not functioning properly. We’ll all get used to the new look. Thanks for taking care of the issue.
Now it’s time to press “post comment” and pray to the net gods that it goes through. I’ll be copying this though, because if it craps out while sending (again), my head may explode. Alissa, it’s not like you’re busy or anything, running the site and preparing for Lil’ Lissa… Want to see if you can fix my connection since you fixed the site? 😉
Maybe the leveling up was happening from tapping formless terrors…. My campfire upgraded twice within a short period. I don’t know how that worked, but I got a shed (not the right prize) and 5 hedges (for tapping zombies).

I have to say, I’m not really enjoying the new look, but sometimes things have to be done…I’m sure I’ll get used to it, but something about it almost hurts my eyes right now! The spacing seems awkward somehow…I also was sure I had a WP account but apparently not…so I do now!
Lol well I guess WP is getting their mission across. The font is really the biggest change, so it’s making the spacing off. Takes a little feeling used to. ..for us too.
I was wondering about that but figured life was just hectic. 🙂
I gotta say, I use an iPhone and The new font & formatting is wonderful! Did a background change too? All I know is that the appearance today is much easier on my eyes. I am not getting what I jokingly call Kindle-fatigue (original) & I did not need to re-read any of these newer posts, which sadly I occasionally did before.
Glad to see some like it. It took me by surprise the first time I saw it but I think it’s more visually pleasing too.
I’ve zoomed my browser out for this page to 90% and it makes it easier on my eyes. For now anyways, I’m sure I’ll get used to it!

Thanks for checking. But, nope it’s not exactly the same. They must be trying to be “mobile friendly” so they have forced me to use a mobile layout even when in landscape mode. I used to have a sidebar on my tablet…. Oh, well. Now I know.

Haven’t decided which look I prefer yet…my immediate reaction to a change like that is usually negative (I’m embarrassed to admit…would prefer to be more open to change), but I’m withholding final judgement until I have a chance to get used to it a bit more, so I can get past “oh, no – it’s different!” and make a more dispassionate assessment. So far, I *think* I may like this font better, but I don’t think I like the wider margins (too much wasted space).

Okay I had something g interesting g just happen. I believe that comes from a task for Jessica Lovejoy. I don’t have her in my game but I get that glitch sometimes too. As far as I’ve noticed it’s the only visual glitch like that for something not in my game.

I don’t know that I’ve ever had spaghettios, though I probably did as a kid and have now forgotten. But I did love some canned ravioli (I forget if it was chef boyardee or another brand) with a bunch of parmesan cheese.
I have distinct memories of being at friend’s houses and being served Kraft Mac. I’m sure they were thinking it was a quick meal and something every kid likes, and I would eat a bit then go home and eat junk food lol. I don’t do a lot of cooking but I’ve thought of making homemade mac & cheese before so maybe now’s the time. I mean if your husband can do it, why can’t I??? (Obviously I have no way of knowing if this is something of a challenge for him lol)
lol he always tells me it’s really easy. But I will say he is an excellent cook, when I let him. 😉
The vertical or the horizontal box? I usually prefer the horizontal one, but my husband usually prefers the vertical one.
For Mac and Cheese?
Actually, I wasn’t worried since I would get a rejection notice if I sent it twice (because of the duplication). Therefore I figured it had something to do with preventing duplicate messages. Where the situation would have been especially bad is where a comment took a long time to post because the question required some research or where it was deleted on purpose. This was because the poster had no indication as to what was happening, like he or she used to have. It would have been difficult to find the answer a couple of days later. Glad to see things worked out.
Urm… Can we move the date/Author line back to the top of the post? I kinda liked it there.

So sorry to hear of the added stress regarding the posts. I can understand fans being confused or maybe even slightly annoyed about not getting immediate acknowledgement, but I think anger is a little bit too much. Lol yes it’s all back to normal, just the new font. Unfortunately I’m still not seeing the moderation preview, and the site still won’t remember my info, looks like this is WordPress’ way of getting people to create accounts.
Yea the other font is gone now…unfortunately. I liked that one better personally.
And yes, i think WP is forcing people to login now. When you create an account you create a site, but it doesn’t really do anything. Just your user id at wordpress.com
