So…here is your Open Thread. An all new episode of The Simpsons airs tonight, what do you think will happen in the new episode? Halloween ended this past week and Thanksgiving started. What are your thoughts on both
events? Working hard at collecting those drumsticks?

Umh is it a glitch or am I suppose to get multiples of the suspicious shape whatever that comes from the quest with Michael it keeps repeating the last few lines with Wiggum and having me place the body outline it did this until I freed Micheal, micheals dad (having a brain fart i cant remember his name right now) the Chief from the tasks they were doing

So with some down time now that THOH is over and I’ve completed the Thanksgiving quest, I’ve been aiming to get somewhere with SH. Currently sitting at around 250k and I’m methodically working to getting all land pieces then doing my building. Seriously tedious task needing much dedication haha! Useful to have the game open whilst studying for finals tho and just tapping for resources every now and then. I’m aiming to get the Ziff mansion, and I’ll probably just leave a space for the billionaire haven seeing as it’s rather ambitious to achieve that by the deadline I’ve set myself. I’ve just got two questions tho, firstly wanted to ask of Paris Texan earns at a freemium or premium rate? And secondly has there been any chatter since SH was first brought out about the possibility of moving the SH entrance, and also the possibility of choosing which level you want your buildings to be at? I really regret going at my condos as I would love to have a level 1 and 2 sitting on the beach lol. So anybody from the addicts team know anything? Any other tappers?
Paris Texan earns at a freemium rate, there doesn’t seem to be any indications at this time that you’ll be able to move the entrance or change the levels of the building after you upgrade them. But of course that could change, just what I see right now.
Yes, there was *lots* of chatter about both of those things, but just from players who want them, not from EA our anyone who had any inside knowledge that they’re coming.
I was able to leave my condos at two of each level and still get to the billion mark. But it did take some serious grinding. Almost everything else had to be leveled up completely and a ton of decorations purchased.
I don’t know if they’ll change anything, but it is possible to reach the end while keeping what you want most: )
That baby is ADORABLE congrats! Also the falling leaves in Springfield make me happy. I could use a little happy right now. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating it.
Ok, so I blew up my town shortly after the end of Halloween Event, and am slowly getting it together again, but I want my IRS building back! 😫 It’s not in my Inventory, but there’s an IRS Drone that is not available for me to purchase until I build the building. Does anyone know how I can get it back? Please help!

It doesn’t show up in the building tab of inventory. Scroll through the main inventory that comes up when you click on the cardboard box icon, and it’ll be there. (I’ve stored that thing multiple times, trust me.)

This may be a little random, but since getting all those wailing walls from Halloween, I’m finally bringing in big money for my town. Last year, I saved for months to get the fortress of choclitude (between level ups and such, I think it took about six months.) In the last two weeks, however, I was able to buy the revolving restaurant AND the oil rig without breaking the bank even a little. It’s kind of a relief to have aspirational-level cashflow after playing for more than two years.

So after the Halloween event I’ve been working on Thanksgiving mini event, I just tapped on the Sunken Temple for the first time. It’s awesome that Mnster was able to stay after the event!
I never want to eat another turkey again. Turkey stuffer did me in.

Hello to all of my fellow TSTO addicts! I am thinking about a new project and am wondering if anyone would be interesting in helping!
Like some other addicts, I have tried to build my Springfield to resemble “real” Springfield as much as possible. About a year ago, I nuked the town and rebuilt it, but of course, since then, we’ve gotten a LOT of new buildings. I’m hoping to create the most complete TSTO show accurate map of Springfield possible. That’s where I need the help.
I hope to take each individual item and collaborate with people here as to where things belong. What makes the most sense based on sometimes conflicting evidence, or what allowances should be made. And then, how buildings/decorations should be placed around it to maximize the look. For buildings that I haven’t acquired (I’m a mostly freemium player), I plan on using traffic cones to keep the space available until I do get them.
Though I’m doing this because I want to have an accurate Springfield, I want this to be a resource for anyone who wants to make their TSTO town resemble real Springfield.

Am I right that Krustyland tickets from neighbors don’t count for a chance at bonuts???
Am I also right that the “more money earned” at each friend level doesn’t apply to tickets? (I never checked when I wasn’t max level. I earn 6 tickets per tap now. Anyone at a lower friend level earn less?)
I’m trying to earn tickets to finish off the Krustyland quest. So far the earning opportunities don’t seem to be as fair as for money.
For your first question: No, you’re wrong. I clearly remember one day doing my friend visits and in a certain town there was nothing for me to tap, so I went to their Krustyland and got a bonut there. I remember I was pretty surprised. 🙂
I hope you’re right. I have gotten some bonuts, but I’ve also had to go to their Springfields sometimes, so I thought the bonuts must have been from there.
Hi, I just noticed that Grampa has a locked quest still to be able to go to the Overpass Diner, did I miss something? Or is it related to Japser, Molloy or any other premium character?

I fully finished that quest line ages ago? I did however lose a whole chunk of that level that I reported and had to restart…but the questline has been redone and finished like before
Can we get a “Should I Buy” for the 4 limited time halloween end-of-event NPCs, so that we know just what they can do/what we can do with them?
They’re NPCs you can’t do anything with them. They just roam your town.
Actually, with the Moonwalking Zombie, when you tap him he does some Thriller choreography and then decapitates himself, and then puts his head back on and keeps moonwalking.
When you tap the skeleton, he throws his head in the air and it lands on his neck and it looks like it should say TA-da.
And the formless terror is no longer zippy. When you tap it, it melts into a puddle and then reforms itself. Have not seen the other two in action yet.

Though I would like to see a brief SIB for them myself. It seems like we won’t be getting one, Bunny? Wookie?….
Anyway, I haven’t bought them but seen them and tapped them.
Disco Zombie does a little Thriller dance and catches his detaching head and puts it back on,
formless Terror melts and then goes back to normal again,
StarSpawn just waves small foam fingers (one both hands),
And I think the Skeleton is the best, skull rolls down and kicks it back onto the neck and at the moment of landing it puts it’s arms up as if to imply a touchdown.
If you don’t get them this round I bet they will be back (if not next year, the next year after that)
Did you guys do a post on Should I Spend My Donuts on the formless terrors, star spawns, zombies & skeletons? I can’t find anything and was wondering if they do the exact same things as when they were in the halloween event?

I hope someone answers this, I’d like to know as well. I’m not buying them, just curious how they act, especially when tapped. They usually have some fun animation that wasn’t done during the event.
One of my neighbors has the Formless Terror. When you tap on it, it shrinks down to a puddle before springing back to its original shape.

Really enjoying the Thanksgiving mini event (wasn’t sad to see the back of THOH 2015), Homer is now on his first task in his new skin. Best bit so far is that the prizes have added enough Gluttony points to get a 5 star town, woo-hoo! 😀

Hi All: Still having problems. When I tap one $ or other icon, multiples open. Any idea how I can change this to a single item opening when I tap it?.
Do you have the IRS building? If you do and it is in your town, then that is why you cannot open or tap on one item at a time. To stop this from happening you just need to put the IRS building in your inventory.

So there’s a good chance this has been covered before, but I wasn’t able to find anything when I did s search. During the Halloween event I won U.B.O. and completed his little questline. However, I realized today that I don’t have it and can’t remember seeing it since maybe act 2 of Halloween or whenever he was a prize. Not sure when it disappeared. Did anyone else have this issue? I checked my inventory and can’t find it anywhere. Thanks in advance!!
Have you checked your Mr Burn’s characters he is UBO?
U.B.O. is a costume for Burns, check his outfits if you’ve already used it to start the questline.

I’m on a race to finish a…ummm…boatload of work so I can go out in vacation for most of December. I’ve discovered that I stay send even more time posting here than I do playing the game, so I may have to cut back on that (and continue my reduced neighbor visits) for the next week and a half or so. I don’t know if I’ll have the self-restraint to do that, but I’m gonna try.
Oh, and fingers crossed that they don’t launch the big Christmas event until after the 3rd, at the soonest!

LOVING this event! quick question…does anyone know if the purple formless terrors move as fast as they did during the event? I’d love to get one — the color and design are super cool — but I think it might be too distracting to have it zipping around. I really really wanted a pink bunny — I so wished they had offered one. but I love my moon-walking zombie!
It moves at the same speed as other characters; so not fast like the event. When you tap on it, it flattens out into a purple puddle and then reforms.

Hi all! It’s been a very long and tiring week and weekend, so I’m too beat to talk about all the random stuff I was planning on chit-chatting about, but here are a couple of TSTO-related notes some folks might find helpful. I haven’t seen them floating around yet, but I apologize if I overlooked them.
1) Wizard Martin: questline part 3 takes 24 hours now, and part 4 takes 1 hour. I posted it on the turbo tapping post for him; hope it’s helpful to someone.
2) Witch Marge- she now seems to speed up crops any length of time, not just the longer-timed crops. I planted tomacco (30 min), and she finished it in 15. 🙂

I think my witch Marge has airways sped up crops of all lengths…pretty sure I’ve used her on Tomacco before. Are you sure she didn’t?
I only purchased her this Halloween, as I started playing TSTO towards the end of last year’s Halloween event. I tried to use her to speed up tomacco (since that’s usually all I grow during the day, and I grow silvertongue at night), and it didn’t speed up for me. I thought, “Gee, EA, you couldn’t make that a bit more complicated??”
So they definitely changed the task at some point, but I don’t know when, since she’s new to me. It’s possible they even changed it a year ago, but new purchases this year didn’t start working “correctly” until after the event ended. The only things I can vouch for are that she didn’t speed up tomacco for me during the event, the blog shows that she didn’t speed up short crops in the past, and now she does speed up short crops for me. As to when it happened? Who the heck knows with EA! 😉
1) I noted in a comment that his task was now 12 hours (part 2) and that I foresaw a 24 hour task… which is what happened! Yep, the task lengths changed with the takedown update.
2) Thanks for noting this. I didn’t know that wasn’t how it worked. When a crop was at about 2h, it took off about half. I’m not sure the formula, though.
If only we can get more 360° Tables, they make better O’s than 4 curved rails.
Speaking of which I left a little “Gobble” rail message, didn’t have enough to say “Gobble Gobble” but still thought I should mention it (haven’t seen neighbors visit over on the far right). Seems like drop off is back at S.H. tunnel but I don’t want to move everything around so… Gobble, gobble anyway. :p

Anyone else had the Thanksgiving items vanish from their store? I know they were there for the first day or so after they were released, but at some point…poof, gone. From what I can see I’m not the only one this has happened to, but so far I haven’t gotten any kind of response from EA about what to do about it.
I just got 7 bonuts doing Friend Actions. I’m a little scared.

Happy Sunday everyone! Had a bit of a bad day yesterday. Went to pay for a $300 order of groceries and my credit card declined before I could even enter my pin. Called the back and come to find out I’d entered the wrong pin too many times the other day. And the $&:@”! bank wouldn’t let me fix it over the phone, so I had to leave me groceries, go home, get my ID, go to the bank, reset the pin, and back to the store…and I don’t drive so I had to cab it. My hour long grocery trip ended up being 4 hours and $40 more than it should’ve. Grrrr.
As far as TSTO goes, Homer’s doing his stuffing task right now (LOVE IT💜) and I’ll have Muumuu Homer tomorrow morning. I also FINALLY purchased the mob car. Now to save up for Gina… Also I had about $7 left on a prepaid Visa so I figured what the heck I’d spend it on donuts for Christmas.
I’d really like Tom the turkey but he’s so overpriced. And Mrs.Bouvier is a must have, but it’s just too close to Black Friday and Christmas to be making any big donut purchases.
My grocery store and bank are usually in the same building. Why’d you leave your ID? Is this a Canadian thing? (You’re a Canadian, I hope I recall correctly.) Don’t lock the doors either? Is my TV acc

LOL I suppose maybe it is a Canadian thing. My dad was mad when I told him I don’t carry it with me heh. It’s just when I’m doing my groceries or a quick errend I hate bringing my whole wallet. I just bring my card I’ll be paying with, phone and keys. Lesson learnt 😒
I rarely carry ID as its theft or loss would make it too easy for identity theft to occur. When you do carry it, you should carry it separately from credit cards, etc., for example directly on your body. Bank cards here are verified by a pin code, not by ID, so we do not need to carry ID. Please note that a driver’s licence is not proper ID in at least Lithuania because the issuing agency does not make the proper background checks; it only accepts the presented ID. (In other words, the situation where false ID is presented to obtain an authentic driver’s licence does not take you very far in Lithuania.) Proper ID here is an EU personal ID card or passport. Foreigners can use their Lithuanian residency permit. Identity theft has often been ‘victimless’ in the EU as the new ID is used in another EU member state and nothing happens to the original person so long as he or she does not travel to that other country. As I understand it, because of the Paris attacks, any EU citizen returning to the EU will be checked against all EU police databases. And that should mean many more arrests due to stolen identities. So stay safe.
Bank cards are also by PIN in Canada. Ciara had an issue because his card was flagged and he didn’t have any ID to take to the bank to get it cleared up. Everyone should carry ID, but men especially are a bit lazier these days about wanting to carry wallets, and tend to shove their bank card into their cell phone case or something like that. Women are usually already toting a purse full of crap, so are more likely to have their whole wallet. As for doors, I’m sure it varies across this enormous country, but generally they should be locked, even though mostly you’d be fine not to. We’re still a great place, but not as crime free as I think outsiders believe.
Ya the only ID I have is my passport unfortunately. No license and our health cards are photo less. I hate carrying my passport with me for the reason you listed there.
Lol jjleigh I’m a she not a he. I have a huge purse but I hate lugging it around.
Oh and I do lock my apartment door, even if I’m just taking out the trash, but I’m a generally untrusting person. Been burned too many times. My dad on the other hand hardly ever locks his door unless he’s working nights. His response when I ask why is always “What’s the point? I’m just gonna have to unlock it again.”

I wasn’t around for that Sandra lol but ya honestly what a stupid system they have. I understand why they won’t let you do it over the phone to an extent…but a few security questions over the phone should also be allowed. I tried it about 20 times at the store and kept telling them it MUST be their machine since I have a huge limit on the card. So embarrassing lol.
That policy won’t make a lot of sense as we go into the future. Debit purchases aren’t particularly better than visa. I use my bank card online and that’s done with the visa logo. That wouldn’t get locked out, but wrong pin will is dumb…. It’s the same money! I can imagine a future without a brick and mortar bank. ATM is the first step, but getting fully digital must happen at some point. At that stage will being a real person with a fingerprint really be that important to them??

Sorry you had such an annoying day. To get a license here in Maryland I nearly had to sign over my first born. I need ID when ever I leave home. I live on a military base and can’t get back home without one which also means nobody on the base locks their doors BC robbers would be stupid to come in uninvited! I write “check id” on the signature line of my credit cards so most merchants won’t take it without checking it against my license.

It was a joke that came to me one day when I had a strange craving for Mozzarella Sticks, I even fought the urge explaining to myself that it isn’t a healthy choice (especially for the arteries or so I’m told) but in the end I said “The heart wants what the heart wants” and gave in to temptation. Explaining this to a person in the real world, the friend/acquaintance relied “so, your Heart wants to die?”, “I guess” I said. (Later thought this could be a fun little joke to share with the TSTO community and I guess the written format fell flat)

Sorry to all my neighbours, I’ve been on holidays this past 8 days and just returned this evening. I was trying to clear my town but didn’t visit, I’ll get right back on track tonight or tomorrow. Long flights, make for a tired traveller.
Next….Congratulations to you Alissa and your husband, a beautiful baby girl! I saw her picture and what you named her and I love her name. She’s adorable!! Hope you’re taking your naps when you can and I’m sure you’re loving every snuggle with you’re baby girl! Again, congrats……

Okay, I’m totally bragging here, but I don’t care. I rocked this Sunday!! Left the house at stupid o’clock (official hockey parent terminology) and took two kids to their separate hockey practices, had breakfast with the third child afterwards for a little precious one on one time, did groceries, cleaned the house, did 3 loads of laundry and watched the Ottawa Redblacks (CFL team – I do understand just about nobody on here cares, lol) win the Eastern division championship – headed to the Grey Cup baby!!! Side note: the quarterback’s two kids play for our hockey association, so we’re super happy for him. Still found time for some outdoor play with the kids, made a homemade beef stew for dinner and two (1 reg, 1 gluten free) pumpkin pies. Seriously, I’m ridiculously awesome today! :))))
No no, I care lol. Hamilton born and raised right here. It hurt lol. We made it to the cup last year though so it’s ok.
Lol! Glad to find someone reasonably close by on this diverse page. Just think, it’s almost like the Ti-Cats won…..we’re happy you guys let Burris go! Would be so nice to get our first cup in decades. Fingers crossed!

Lol ya ya whatever. I’m actually not in Hamilton anymore, moved to Fredericton. Looks like we’re getting our first (wet) snowfall right now!
Awesome. I’ve got lots of friends and family out that way. Very surprised we don’t have snow yet – it’s 0C today, -6 with wind so I’m sure it will be on its way soon. We did have a tiny bit of blowing snow last weekend when I left at 5 am for hockey, but it was done with when we emerged a few hours later. I have pics of my kids last year 3 days ago with snowmen built on the lawn. Probably should change my tires today. Have a great week! 🙂
I’m originally from Gatineau, so I care a little bit. I didn’t realize the red blacks were doing so well this year since I moved away but that’s great!
Also it sounds like you were crazy busy this weekend, I don’t remember the last time I was that productive!
I’m always crazy busy (with 3 kids and 2 of them in hockey), but not necessarily that productive, LOL. Seems like I just clean on an endless loop, but if you ring the doorbell at the wrong time of day, you’d think I never clean!! (Are you taking notes Alissa? :)) Truthfully, I’m only a casual fan, but First Grey cup berth on the line in 34 years (many of those where Ottawa didn’t have a team), and to make this kind of result in just 2 years back as a franchise, not to mention knowing a player on the team personally – you just can’t help but get excited. First time in many years that I actually want to hold or attend a Grey Cup party!
Lol I’m ocd about a lot of things. But I have been good the last week + about letting my hubby do things and taking it easy. I have a feeling things will get a little more chaotic with more kids to the mix lol
MORE kids? Are you already planning for the next one? I would think you’d want to let the memory of labor pains subside before you’d start considering going for another one! 😉
lol honestly it wasn’t that bad. The pain I’m in today is worse than the pain I was in while giving birth. The key is get the epidural…it makes everything better 😉
But don’t worry…we’re at least a year and a half away from even having that conversation lol

I gained the best neighbors last year during this event. We talked about making a Thanksgiving parade through our towns using the balloons, and (thanks to my neighbors) some even more creative things. Are there any addicts out there making parades? I would like to think so.
