Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Many, many, MANY of you have commented today that you can’t see any comments on posts. This is a WordPress bug. I’ve spoken with them several times, and they’re working on fixing it (they were FINALLY able to duplicate the issue tonight). However, until it’s fixed there’s not a whole lot I can do…and it’s not just annoying you, it’s annoying me too.
So here are a couple of temporary solutions…
You can try commenting on the post, many readers have said commenting will bring the comments back. (even if you comment is just a 🙂 ) However, it’s only a temporary solution, once you close the page they’ll disappear again next time you open it up. So you’ll need to do it again.
The other option is to go directly to the comment thread on a post. You can access that by doing a /#comments at the end of any of the posts web address. For example the calendar post would be:
That should directly load the comments for you.
I’ll also try posting this direct comment link at the top of each post, for quick access.
Hopefully WordPress will have this fixed soon…I know it’s making us all a little crazy!

I have a guess as to why they’ve been ignoring these bugs, lately… it seems they’ve been focusing all of their attention on a new release.

The only problem for me on my phone, with the direct link at the top of the page, I can’t click directly on the link to take me anywhere. Try to copy and paste isn’t that cooperative either unless I go on my computer itself. Shame this problem has arisen and is so darn frustrating to us all, especially at the beginning of this event.

At the moment this is the only post I can see comments on. For the other event posts even using the direct link doesn’t help, just goes straight to the bottom of the post and I can only see the ‘leave a reply’ box. Hope WordPress fix this soon.

Adding the “#comments” doesn’t seem to work for me, it will take me to were the comments should be but won’t make the comments reappear.
Ugh frustrating. The WordPress tech assured me that would work. I’ll have to message him in the morning

The direct comment link doesn’t seem to work for me; still blank. Sure hope WordPress can “replicate” that problem. (Doncha hate that? Mechanics do that same thing to me when my car is making a funny noise.)
Probably, even though I can’t see it, someone already has pointed out that the workaround isn’t a working.
The link will just bring you to the part of the page where comments would be if you could see them. It will not make them appear if they are missing in the first place.
If you revert back to WordPress template you guys had before this one, the direct link to the comments is automatically generated under each titles post. It also has the date posted at the top and makes it much easier to read and navigate the site.
Still wouldn’t work in case. It’s not the theme causing the issue.
I still have a problem with my snow all over the place my character s are walking under buildings, if anyone else has the problem if they could help how to fix, it makes playing the game very hard, cannot find my parcels, hiding the building does not help that much. I have logged out turn computer off please help .

only way i’ve been able to keep up with the comments recently has been through the the wordpress reader.

Guys can you help. I always get an email notifying me of your new posts so I always know an event hits. So there I am wondering about xmas and it hit yesterday 🙁 how do I check what I get by email. Had everythino up to new springfield hits just no xmas stuff 🙁
Are you saying you didn’t get the xmas update on Tapped Out? I updated my app manually because it wasn’t coming up automatically. I don’t know what kind of tablet/phone you use, but I have an android tablet and just updated it through Google Play.

Thanks so so so much Alissa. I’m always impressed with the time, especially at 3 am, that you put in to help everyone out. Totally amazed that you’ve been able to keep doing so while pregnant and then with a newborn.

I am still having a problem with my people and Xmas ones walking under my buildings, I have closed the game updated my iPad . I cannot see if anyone else is yah in the same problems as I cannot see any replys hiding the buildings does not help unless I store them all, which to me is pointless please help,
I’m starving but it’s 4:30 am here and I don’t want to go clattering around the kitchen looking for snacks 🎄 🎁 🍩 😜 😇 🙂
Like all the others I was having a problem seeing the comments so I went and set up a wrd press acct and now I can see the comments.

Ok, so I have a new question I know you’ll probably address in the next few days …
What do the hot squishee tickets get us and how far up the ladder do we upgrade the stand? I’ve done the first round of upgrades that the initial task called for and stopped there. I’m going to wait for your input before I go further … Sending the kids back to SH until then.

Honestly I wouldn’t upgrade it at all really..unless you want the extra 100 hats from the questline. It’s not really worth it
Several hundred hats are worth it in my book! But then, I’m maxed out level wise so I can afford to say that. I assume once I have all the prizes though, that I might as well stop. Still chugging on SH- haven’t even hit 1B yet, but all in good time.
Thanks alissa. Usually if I have any question I try to read the comments firsts. I really thought it was a glitch on my side. Thorough out the day there were times I could see the comments and sometimes not. Only then I realise how much I’m hooked on this site. Not knowing how the other fellow tappers were getting on was driving me crazy.
