Update: Building actions are back, which means vandalism is back as well. Be careful when tapping in a neighbor’s town and only tap the bears. Tapping buildings will count against your daily actions for the day…
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
New Year, new act. Out with the old, in with the new! Christmas is over…bring on Maggie and the fun!
Gone are the Merry Makers, collection of Mistletoe, daily challenges & crafting. Here are Imaginary Bears, pacifiers, babies & Play Dough.
Act 3 is upon us!
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
If you don’t own Maggie Moe will start things for you. If you do own Maggie, Marge will start things for you. If you don’t have Maggie you’ll have several extra steps to complete before you start the main Act 3 stuff….
Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…

New Prize Currency for Act 3..
Pacifiers
Pacifiers can be earned by tapping Imaginary Bears (Imaginary Friends Pt. 2 trigger them in your town…it’ll be a little bit before you see them (especially if you don’t have Maggie yet)
-You’ll earn 8
for every bear you tap in your town
-You’ll also earn them via tapping bears in a friend’s town. You’ll earn 1
for every bear you tap in a friend’s town. (first 9 actions, at least for me, paid 3 each)
–
can also be earned via the Daily Combo…
Imaginary Bears

The bears will start spawning once you’ve reached Imaginary Friends Pt. 2…they’ll spawn at the same rate as the Merrymakers, 1 every 5 minutes. You can have a max of 40 in your town at once, with a bank of 20.
Act 3 Personal Prizes
Kearny’s Other Son- 2,700 ![]()
Mrs. Sinclair- 9,600 ![]()
Wall E Weasels- 17,800 ![]()
Baby Gerald- 27,400 ![]()
Once you’ve earned all the prizes you’ll have a chance for Bonus Donuts by collecting more Pacifiers.
Act 1 & 2 Prizes
IF you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT ONE PRIZES” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright by each one left at the point you left off at. (just like every other event)
New Items in the Store

I won’t be doing new Should I Buy posts on the returning items. Check out the older posts for details on them. If there’s no should I buy for it, check out the rundown post and details…that’ll explain what it is/does and help you make a decision.
How Do I Get Maggie?

If you did not get Maggie during Act 2 you’ll have the chance to get her in Act 3. In fact you’ll have to unlock her before you can continue with the progress of Act 3. If you did not start the You Better Not Cry questline, you’ll start Seems to Be the Hardest Word. Here you’ll have to basically have Moe, Krusty, Cletus and CBG all clean up the vandalism…you’ll then have a couple more tasks and you’ll unlock Maggie.
Once Maggie is unlocked you’ll be able to start the main Act 3 stuff.
Questline Buildings
You’ll unlock two buildings by playing the questline…
Play Dough Factory
Ayn Rand School for Tots
Again, these unlock via the questline. So don’t go crazy looking for them immediately, you won’t find them unless you play the questline.
Act 3 is pretty cool as far as the questline goes. Take your time and read the dialogue, it’s pretty fun! As far as the basics of Act 3, well it’s just like everything else…collect
to earn prizes…pretty simple 🙂
And as always…when in doubt PLAY THE QUESTLINE!!!! I can’t tell you how many times you guys tell me something didn’t happen and it’s because you’ve stopped playing the questline. So follow along with the main questline (Turbo Tappin’ will be up later) and stick to it. You’ll unlock everything you should unlock if you stick with the questline…
What are you’re thoughts on Act 3? Excited about the prizes? How about the new items? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

So the playdough factory does… nothing?
Play… it does SOMETHING… but you got to get to that point in the Questline first. 😉
OK, thanks.
Hello Bunny,
You back in the land of the living ?
💙 💛 💚 🙂
Every once in a while I shock her back to the land of the living…but then she goes back into hibernation 😉
Are their supposed to be jobs with these buildings like the previous acts?
The screen for the play dough building just has an exit arrow and nothing else.
As the post says… wait… just play… a lot opens while going through the questline, Playdough too. It is linked at the VERY end of the Questline to Maggie’s Mini Game. You’ll get there eventually.
Is there any fix for the graffiti fortress of solitude? Mine seems to be stuck since act 2 even though have maggie?
I was hoping for a bear npc 🙁 at least we get Wall e Weasel which looks more interesting than lot of other recent buildings 🙂
See part at bottom of post about how to get Maggie. 🙂
I love the bears. I know they’re from Call of the Simpsons, but their wandering around town reminds me so much of Much Apu About Nothing, another favorite episode of mine.
I also find it hilarious that the carollers loved my forest area and the bears refuse to go near it. 😀
Lol, I, on the other hand, have been endlessly entertained to find that in my game, bears DO, um, hang out in the woods. 😉
I was tapping on bears in neighbor’s towns and wasn’t receiving any pacifiers, just money.
You sure you actually tapped Bears though and NOT buildings? The Buildings, as noted right up top, are active again… so tap carefully
I have had the same issue. I have yet to get anything but cash for the bears (and being extremely careful, and not hitting a building).
You need to wait until it’s been 24 hours since you last started collecting event currency from your neighbors. Sounds like your clock hasn’t reset yet. (I think they just give you the first three for the questline, regardless of whether you’re “due” yet or not.)
No, I’ve the same problem and I certainly waited 24 hours. The first 2 towns I got 3 pacifiers for each bear, the next 10 towns 1 pacifier per bear and after that the bears plopped away without giving a pacifier.
That sounds about right then…there’s been a limit of 50 in this game, starting back with tapping merrymakers in neighbors’ towns.
I was sad to see the heights leaderboard go… Im just getting motivated to have a final long push to get up to a billion (it’s SUCH a slog) and to motivate myself I was looking at the leaderboard as I was moving up… Sometimes other players Moving up with me, pushing me to work a little harder. Not really meaning to be competitive but more to pass the time.. And now it’s gone!
I liked the event structure. Normally the christmas event goes on to mid January and by the time the third act comes along the festive spirit is definitely over. Compared to the act last year… Ugh, this was a treat. One of my favorite events, great prizes, liked most of the upgradeable attractions, and good crafting prizes. There was enough going on to keep it from being boring, but not too much that made it confusing.
Thanks guys for all your help,
I’ve noticed a few handshakes in my town, ….that’s fine if you want cash but you’re supposed to be tapping the bears for event currency…
unless you used your friend actions and you’re just tapping anything for cash (hoping for a donut)
🍩 🙂
Hi Lee, I started tapping buildings in my neighbours’ towns after the daily payout of pacifiers stopped with however many we get a day for tapping bears. I figured I’d give neighbours friends points.
Abby_Oscar 🙂
Or, as has happened to me several times, you were aiming for a bear and it cleared a building instead. 🙁
I kind of like having the buildings active. makes for a quicker time once you get all the binkies you can for the day.
Does anyone know if tapping Bear #51 helps your neighbor? Or is it merely another step toward a donut?
Maybe EA can make a reward of a pic-a-nic basket containing a donut or two.
But then, I’m dating myself, aren’t I!
I was trying to work out whether (after friend actions) it was better to tap a building or a bear for cash but not sure
🙂
It would probably be the same either way from your perspective, but tapping a building would help your neighbor, whereas tapping a bear would not.
But you might just want to try one of each to confirm that the payout to you would be the same for either…
You got that right, Boo-boo
I love how Maggie gets around 🙂
And OMG Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers!! Definitely a must-buy for me.
Normally, when buildings are tappable by neighbors, the neighborly thing to do is to leave some untapped for your neigbors to tap. However, I think during this act of this event, it’s better to try and keep your buildings tapped, so that neighbors don’t accidentally tap a building when aiming for a bear. (This happened to me at least three times today, even though I was being very careful. 🙁 )
I’m trying to find bears in areas that don’t have buildings, but that’s hard, especially with neighbors who have lots of buildings all jammed together.
Sandra, I was going to suggest the same thing! I’m keeping my town as clear as possible so neighbors on the search for bears have better odds of tapping a bear than a building.
While it’s not as friendly for neighbors hoping to get bonuts, it’s friendlier to the majority during the event. 🙂
I suppose one could just leave one isolated area of buildings untapped….I tend not to tap my “original” buildings and brown houses (and, when I do, they regenerate very quickly), so I figure that area can be for those folks. (Although, you can get bonuts from tapping bears, too…but, if you’ve maxed out your pacifiers and are just hunting bonuts, it would be more “neighborly” to tap your neighbors’ buildings, so they can collect the handshakes…
Agreed on all points. 🙂 My only problem has been deciding which area to leave untapped for neighbors. My town is set up fairly realistically, except for SH and a couple of new strips of land which are currently storage areas holding items which need placement (whenever we get a break between events!), so things are fairly close together. Well, I guess I could always store my IRS building and tap each individual building. That’s what I’ve been doing during non-event periods anyway, so I make sure to leave buildings available for neighbors. 🙂
I’m really hoping they let us buy a bear to walk around town when this is over. I love them.
Same here!
Disappointed crafting ended without warning. I held materials to see what Act 3 would bring to craft. Haven’t seen it just end crafting without a warning before. Makes me feel I wasted a lot by waiting…..
You should have read previous post or the countdown was a big hint
There was a warning on the crafting screen that said when it was going to end. It’s been like that the whole event and was scheduled to end today. So it wasn’t a sudden thing.
Haaa-haaaaa
🙂
This morning when Act 3 began in my TSTO, my attractions paid out in pacifiers. But now they have switched to in-game regular cash. I am bummed about that… Could use the additional ways to earn pacifiers. ::sob::
And yes, I realize this gives me “unobservant” demerits, but I failed to notice the “event ends” timers (which isn’t exactly accurate, anyway, as the *act* ended–not event). I, too, was thinking that crafting would be carried into Act 3. Especially after the backlash EA got for (temporarily) removing Act-1 items when Act 2 started.
Lest I give the impression I only ever complain–I am excited about earning Gerald (hope I make it!) and I got the Blocko store! Woo-hoo!
I am assuming you were finishing up Levels? Like Leveling up Moe’s Farm or Fortress of Lonelitude? If so, it was just basically replacing those Mistletoe payouts with the Pacifiers instead… but they would do it only that one time. Once collected from, they all phase into Act 3. 🙂
That’s what I figured it was, but still ::sadface:: about it. 😉
I’m wondering if I’m missing something I need to do to advance in my “Maggie” questlines. I did the one that led to the Playdough Factory being built, but I haven’t been prompted to begin the next phase. Who needs to be available to initiate the next phase?
Alissa will have the Turbo Tappin up when she is finished with the exacts… I sped through it. Mainly the ones I remember are the same as usual for this Event… Marge, Homer, Maggie, Moe, Lisa… all triggered questline at different spots.
Thanks. Thinking it through, I am guessing the tapping bears in friends’ towns might be holding me up. Unfortunately, yesterday, I didn’t visit my friend towns until around 8:15 PM, so I need to wait until then before I can do this task.
Does the Playdough Factory do anything? So far when I tap on it it just says Playdough Factory and has no listing for what ready or and rewards.
Am I missing something.
Yes… with Maggie’s Mini Game once you get through all the New Questline. Keep playing and you will get there. 😉
Seems weird that EA would turn on the vandal option and handshakes during an event. I had many handshakes this morning. I won’t be returning the favor. I am clicking on bears. Any idea why they did this in the middle of an event???
Not really. It has happened many times before. In fact it wasn’t until just recently that they did start using the buildings for other things and disable it… so for long time players like me, that’s a new thing to NOT have vandalism on. 😉
Act 3
I am noticing a trend with EA (the 3rd Act tends to peter out in a non satisfactory conclusion to an Event!)
I will graciously accept 2 Premium Buildings (3 if you count Wall E Weasel) along with 1 new Springfield Character (the 2 NPC’s will just be stored as I find them an utter waste!)
I have over 70 Donuts, once again I find nothing Premium of interest (I think certain Premiums shouldn’t disappear from the Store so quickly, as it takes time to save up Donuts!)
Am I the only one having a difficult time clicking on those Bears in my Neighboreeno’s Springfields? (EA needs to disable Buildings in your Neighboreeno’s Towns!)
Yes I know you take the good with the bad (2016 means there’s always room for improvement within this game app)
For me… this is the BEST Act 3 ever. Babies, Bears, and LOTS of chances at Bonuts!! WOOHOO!!
Despite turning Wi-fi, device off and on, logging in and out of EA account, I still keep getting the beginning cut scene of Homer blowing up Springfield over and over. Any other advice before contact EA?
That is all I can think of.
Borrow someone else’s device and log in from there?
I think we can agree that if so many people didn’t find it clear that it would be impossible to craft items after Act2, then it WASNT that very clearly stated. I made the same mistake, because I was totally sure Act3 would be a continuation of the same type – tap merrymakers, upgrade some buildings, weekly challenge etc. Also, if I am not mistaken, items that became craftable in Act 1 were also available during Act 2. But oh well.. 🙂
As someone rightly pointed out, you need to tap loads of bears to get all prizes, so, aside from buildings one can buy for donuts, will there be any ways other than tapping bears to gain Pacifiers?
Actually to be accurate, majority of people will ONLY comment to make a complaint… but those complaining are really only about 2-5% of the Player population. Regardless, there were dates all over in the game showing the countdown timers for the items… if you did not see them being pretty much to be required to be in those pop ups every time you accessed the game, I don’t know what else to tell you.
Maggie will help drop pacifiers on her tasks, other methods too. Just keep playing. 🙂
Having worked in customer service (long ago, thankfully!) I can tell you that far too many people never read anything, no matter how noticeable you try to make it. With every single purchase, our store would
1) Give a quick verbal rundown of our return policy, specifying key elements
2) Point to it on the front and back of the receipts
3) Circle it with a highlighter, while saying “Here is our return policy, which I’m marking with a highlighter, please be sure to read it carefully”
and 4) Check at the door to make sure steps 1-3 had been done properly.
We also had humongous signs at the registers, service counter, and doors with big bullet-pointed rundowns of our return policy.
Take a guess how many customers would go into a rage when trying to return something against policy and say “Well no-one ever told me that, how was I supposed to know?”
99%. Lol. 😉
People tend to “scan” and are ADD with info. Not taking much to heart or mind when they read. Myself or Alissa can answer the same question in 400 comments, 5 posts, all in one day… and still have someone say they can’t find the info anywhere or never knew. Meh… w/e. 😉
Many years ago, when we got a new administrative computer system at work, my training team created very extensive, user-friendly, info mapped manuals for folks to use after their also pretty extensive (VERY extensive by today’s standards) training. We also had what we called a SWAT line — a phone number that our former trainees could use if they encountered a problem or needed help with something after training. When someone would call in to ask a question that was answered in the manual, we used to, among ourselves, call that an “RTFM” (or say that we should have told them, “RTFM”).
If you need help figuring out what RTFM stood for, let me know (the third word I can’t say here, but you can pretty much figure that one out just from this comment, lol!).
This one’s for you!
http://dilbert.com/strip/1999-08-04
Not quite the same as RTFM, but I love it anyway. 😀
(It’s amazing how Scott Adams can be working at my company and at so many other ones, all at the same time…. 😉 )
I’ve heard that in relation to training Sandra, but it was RTFQ
read the question
🙂
In the style of Nelson…….
Haaa-haaaaa
🙂
I love the bears and their pacifiers! Maggie is so cute.. I love the way she uses balloons to get to places.
I didn’t get to spend all of my Christmas things I collected,,grr,,might stop plying this
Nelson would say……
Haaa-haaaaa
🙂
It’s like a frickin’ country bear jamboroo around here!
If you want wild bears eating your children and scaring your salmon, that’s *your* business!
Duuuh, in my town they’re just lumbering along with a pacifier,
what part of the quest do they start sniffing in tents and eating children and all this other stuff 🐻 🐻
🙂
Is anyone else getting a glitch in the “Find Maggie” game? I find her with plenty of time left on the clock and nothing happens despite all the tapping. When the clock runs out it tells me time is up and I lost. Obviously it’s not working right?
How did you get to that part of the event already? Did you spend doughnuts? Yikes.
Lots of donuts 🍩 like over $75 ….£50 I reckon
Sure some mathemagician will work out what it would cost,
I don’t mind spending a few to rush because I’m impatient but I’m not made of money ….
Also, keep your donuts in a sealed bag as the bears can smell them
🍩 🐻 🍩 🐻 🍩 🐻 🍩 🐻 🍩 🙂
I love love love this event. Maggie for free!!!!! And we can get Gerald the unibrow baby for free too which is also awesome. And Mrs. Sinclair is from one of the all time best Simpsons episodes and she’s free. Plus we got how many extra donuts from doing the weekly challenges not just for this event but Halloween too. So happy right now.
If the Babysitter Bandit is voiced it’s an instabuy
Looks like I wasn’t the only one who accidentally vandalized while trying to hit a bear. Sorry, Ehrenwache!
I’m also confused about buildings being tappable when we’re supposed to be tapping bears. Reading on to see if there’s an explanation …
I love the bears reminds me of Alaska……
I have Maggie and bought rubber baby store. I have nothing on my screen (bottom right corner) showing the Act Three prizes and other options as in Act One and Two. Is this gone on everyone’s? If not, how do I get this icon back?
hard close and restart TSTO. If act 3 still doesn’t trigger (Marge should start it), contact EA
I’m having the same issue, my game started act 3, I got kicked out for about an hour and now there’s no act 3 trophy icon or anything. What do u mean by hard close?
Let me ask you this though, how far in the Questline were you? The new Trophy Icon will NOT appear until you get to it by playing along in the Questline a few parts in.
Mine too but don’t worry, start tapping bears and eventually the icon at the bottom will reappear
What about the new robot and the other two new kids? Where are they in act 3? It shows them in the character list.
Play the questline…and not everything has been released to the store yet.
Abby_Oscar,
I was trying to tap a bear and accidentally sprayed town hall. I’m sorry. 🙁 I don’t understand why vandalism is back if we are supposed to tap bears. ????
No need to apologize, I did the same today to my neighbour capts – oops!! I knew it was an accident from you 🙂
Thanks for the note neighbour!
Abby_Oscar
Im saving up my donuts for either barneys bowl la rama…or however its spelt..with 250 donuts do u think this would be best considering it will start new quests…
Is this my best choice with these donuts??
Thanks
It is expensive but it’s Barney. For the same price you could get Akira and any number of character/building combos. But it’s Barney. How much do you like Barney? If he’s a favorite of yours then you’ll enjoy having him in your game. If not, there are many other options available.
I dont wanna spend on anything that is not gonna give me a quest or a character that doesn’t have much interplay…but yes barneys is the way to go. Stus disco n maybe milhouses mom will be the following 2
Thanks for the info 🙂
Christmas Act 3???? What do pacifiers and bears have to do with Christmas? What a joke. And I can’t believe they didn’t bring back Santa’s Village at all this year. I finally saved up enough donuts and waited all year for the one thing I really wanted in this game? Seriously disappointed in EA 😡😩
To be fair EA’s called it the Winter Event. I’ve been calling it Christmas, which is why this post now says Christmas/Winter.
I agree I do not know why they did not just make a level 60 with maggie and all this stuff, they just seem to like to over extend these events lately
I think EAgot lazy while trying to figure out how to get Maggie into the game. Hence the incongruous act 3.
Sheesh, first people complain because the Halloween event continues long after Halloween, now people complain because the Christmas portion of the Winter Event *doesn’t* continue long after Christmas!
It wasn’t a Christmas event, it was a Winter event (check the prize list). That’s why it also included Festivus, for example.
