New Year, new act. Out with the old, in with the new! Christmas is over…bring on Maggie and the fun!
Gone are the Merry Makers, collection of Mistletoe, daily challenges & crafting. Here are Imaginary Bears, pacifiers, babies & Play Dough.
Act 3 is upon us!
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
If you don’t own Maggie Moe will start things for you. If you do own Maggie, Marge will start things for you. If you don’t have Maggie you’ll have several extra steps to complete before you start the main Act 3 stuff….
Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
New Prize Currency for Act 3..
Pacifiers
Pacifiers can be earned by tapping Imaginary Bears (Imaginary Friends Pt. 2 trigger them in your town…it’ll be a little bit before you see them (especially if you don’t have Maggie yet)
-You’ll earn 8 
for every bear you tap in your town
-You’ll also earn them via tapping bears in a friend’s town. You’ll earn 1 for every bear you tap in a friend’s town. (first 9 actions, at least for me, paid 3 each)
– can also be earned via the Daily Combo…
Imaginary Bears
The bears will start spawning once you’ve reached Imaginary Friends Pt. 2…they’ll spawn at the same rate as the Merrymakers, 1 every 5 minutes. You can have a max of 40 in your town at once, with a bank of 20.
Act 3 Personal Prizes

Baby Gerald- 27,400
Once you’ve earned all the prizes you’ll have a chance for Bonus Donuts by collecting more Pacifiers.

IF you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT ONE PRIZES” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright by each one left at the point you left off at. (just like every other event)

How Do I Get Maggie?
If you did not get Maggie during Act 2 you’ll have the chance to get her in Act 3. In fact you’ll have to unlock her before you can continue with the progress of Act 3. If you did not start the You Better Not Cry questline, you’ll start Seems to Be the Hardest Word. Here you’ll have to basically have Moe, Krusty, Cletus and CBG all clean up the vandalism…you’ll then have a couple more tasks and you’ll unlock Maggie.
Once Maggie is unlocked you’ll be able to start the main Act 3 stuff.
Questline Buildings
You’ll unlock two buildings by playing the questline…
Play Dough Factory
Ayn Rand School for Tots
Again, these unlock via the questline. So don’t go crazy looking for them immediately, you won’t find them unless you play the questline.
Act 3 is pretty cool as far as the questline goes. Take your time and read the dialogue, it’s pretty fun! As far as the basics of Act 3, well it’s just like everything else…collect to earn prizes…pretty simple 🙂
And as always…when in doubt PLAY THE QUESTLINE!!!! I can’t tell you how many times you guys tell me something didn’t happen and it’s because you’ve stopped playing the questline. So follow along with the main questline (Turbo Tappin’ will be up later) and stick to it. You’ll unlock everything you should unlock if you stick with the questline…

I just don’t understand why there have been so many complaints about this SITE during this event.. how is it any of the addicts fault that so many misinterpreted the information that had been not only in our games but laid out on the site in the simplest way possible? EA does not make every event the same, with every event comes a different range of challenges. As far as the crafting goes, in the menu it was clearly stated that the event ended in xx days and if you wanted anything there to craft it before it was gone, even if that somehow confused people after Act 1 when the first round of craftables disappeared people should have learned that EA can and will do as they please.. I crafted everything I could last night just to be on the safe side. If everything would have still been there this morning would I have came onto a free site that does nothing but HELP players and complained that the admins messed up? NO because like logical people they took the information for what it was. Alissa made sure to BOLD the bullet points on a post that you didn’t even have to open all the way to receive the information, if you didn’t come to read it how is that her fault? Lord knows this woman works overtime on this blog with having a newborn baby so how about we cut her some slack and show her some respect NOTHING that happens in this game has anything to do with HER, BUNNY OR WOOKIE. They could leave us flying blind, try to remember they are simply players just like the rest of us.
Maybe these comments shouldn’t have made me so angry but being 8months pregnant probably contributed to my anger lol. Thank you for everything y’all do! God bless you and your families.

It’s true. I noticed the change as well.
The bears are in all friends towns, regardless of them having the update but you only get pacifiers if they have updated.
You need to wait until it’s been 24 hours since you last earned event currency from neighbor visits.
Brittany, I think after you hit 10 neighbors, you have to wait another 24 hrs. before the bears become available again. However, you will continue to earn the XF points.

20 that will build up if your town is maxed out of the 40 and you’re not in your game. Those 20 will appear right away in your game as you start clearing the 40. Basically it allows you to be away from your game for longer without missing out (As long as you go back in and tap them)

I picked it up because I love the look (now bring on the Box Factory!!) but sadly the animation is just smoke coming out of the chimney: No kids zooming around on the slides.
I splurged and got it, but yeah nothing exciting. I was hoping for kids on the slides too. But it does look cool 🙂

Maybe I’m too much of an addict, but clearing my game every morning (after seven hours of sleep) and then every four hours through the day has always allowed me to complete all of the events I’ve participated in over the last year. No special purchases needed to make it though all of the prizes for any of the acts….
I’m getting bored of saying it…why do people assume we can tap every four hours or visit the bathroom at work to tap? ? …people who assume this are narrow minded …..when I go to work…I’m gone ten hours, the phone signal at work is not good enough to play, no Wi-Fi so I can’t tap till I come home again ….maybe I’m the only one who can’t tap all day long 🙂
I wasn’t so crazy about this last event–not much of a Christmassy person myself. But I really LOVE Act 3! Love the cute bears, love having Maggie, and the prizes are really cool! And the first two acts weren’t so bad, I basically played for the donuts… and finally got enough to buy Barney. Win-win! 😀
EA turned the houses back on and still have the same awful hit detection as always >.< it's so hard to guarentee a bear. Thats why I'm trying to keep my town clear, hopefully it'll be easier to get bears when visiting me

What does it mean when you say there is a “bank of 20” for the bears…and I guess other event currency? I can’t store the bears away, although I’m not sure why anyone would need to…
Don’t worry about it if you don’t get it…just tap on the bears you see in your town.

The Slide Factory generates 135 pacifiers every 6 hours. I bought it for the look of it, so that’s a pleasant bonus for me. 🙂

If I can be so bold as to offer this in rebuttal to most peoples claim of we knew the event was ending… I’m not trying to be rude just want to say my piece and get this out as civil as possible. I love this site and what it is, but sometimes something just rubs me the wrong way and I have to say something so please just take this for what it’s meant to be as constructive complaining. To my point:

Meaning a representative of this site stated and at the start of Act One that the event currency for crafting will not change during this event and it did stay the same in to Act Two. Yes, Hot squishes were replaced by Mistletoe, but Bows and Baubles stayed the same. Not saying you have anything to do with the change but you spoke as if you had a certain knowledge, which in most cases you do and although we can’t hold you accountable you should be very careful as what you do say that leads to others thinking the same exact thing. I too saved, (I got what I really wanted first) and then saved to see what would show up in Act Three and this is all attached to this same event. It would be vastly different, if it only had the Two Acts and then they said another Event will launch soon there after but it was pretty misleading to say ACT Three AND that the first two acts followed the same system.
Yes the Timer stated the event was ending soon, but the event also ended for Act Two and didn’t change the core crafting, so we the commoners thought that would me just a new thing to tap and we got Bears! but nothing to craft and all our crafting stuff gone.. A bit misleading, they could have said it was limited to the first two acts or their standard disclaimer saying Hurry Prizes go away.
All I’m saying is please don’t dismiss us as not knowing so easily, we rely heavily on this site because you addicts do such a wonderful job of helping out the commoners like us. Thank you!
K… so let’s discuss. Let me also point something out that we say a MILLION times on the site since you say you do rely on the site… “EA can/has/will change items in the Event” “We can’t guarantee info until it is live in the game” “We will update any changes when we see them.”
Then there was the constant reminders that “Act 3 will be separate from the Event”. This is what EA has done now several times, Several Events, break the last Act off from the Event and isolate the items there (it even had a pop up in the game when you tapped on Act 3 tab). So the “Christmas” Event did indeed end with Act Two. Now it is a “Maggie” Event in the game.
Then there was this… among many other times we relayed it was coming to an end with the verification…

So if there is ever a change, new info, new additions, etc… we also report on those too. If you are going to base an entire event off of one post out of 20+… from a previous Act… than your information will not apply as… “We confirm it when it is live in the game”. Which we did confirm when Act Two hit, the changes were made to bring back Act 1 Craftables, and the “END TIME” was displayed for crafting. If a person only read one post on our site and based their game play on just that one post… they wouldn’t be having a very fun time playing. 😉
Thing with game houses… don’t “Assume”… it will disappoint you every time. Do what we do, verify it live in your game. When in doubt, check our site too or just ask. 😉

Ok I get you are mostly right,(I’m always right in my mind though 🙂 ) but you don’t ALL Have to jump me for it, I was trying to help defend the others, I really didn’t want most of the crafted things anyway. Like I said I got what I wanted so it was no big deal to me, thought I probably would have got a second ski chalet. Anyway, I do rely on this site and as I pointed out so do many others, but I just don’t have the time to read every single post ever made.. yes I know only too well what EA is capable of trust you me.. as for speaking out of turn, (sheepishly embarrassed) yes I suppose I did, but again it was only to try and help other complainers out there.. I really like to help people and unfortunately I also sometimes jump to conclusions. The thing about my knee jerk response was that I read a particular response from a particular admin here and it just sound incredibly crass. I’m not one to back down so easily. I won’t say what post or where I read it because I know that the internet/written word doesn’t translate feeling very well and I am considered by most of my friends as the abrasive one that tells it like it is and sees no problems with that. I have thick skin and don’t realize most of the time that what I say may actually be misunderstood and taken as a hostile whenI am actually just stating a point I saw or herd or whatever, that is the reason why I said I wanted to do it civil and that I do appreciate what the admins and other helpful addicts do around here. I’m still a good lighthearted person so please don’t get that wrong I am still on your side and do still love this site and will probably end up sticking my foot in my mouth again sometime down the road here. I am working on that though..
Respectfully, for the people who do not have the time to read every post in full (very understandable! I’m home all day and don’t read them all) it helps to read the titles + at least skim the opening blurb on the main page. It only takes a few seconds and 99.9% of the time will tell you if reading further is necessary in your case. It most definitely takes less time than posting a question or comment in a place where it may or may not belong, and then waiting for an answer that is most likely going to be a link and/or reminder to read the answer that was already there when you asked.

Those are just a couple of quotes I quickly snatched from posts she had written, but you can add to that literally dozens, if not scores of responses she’s made in the comments section of almost every post in the past week or so to people asking whether the crafting items would continue over into Act 3.
So, sorry – I don’t really agree with your point there.
The post says the CRAFTING materials will remain the same. First, crafting materials ARE NOT…i repeat ARE NOT currency for prizes. Prize currency ALWAYS changes between acts. So santa hats (not hot squishees, those actually are still around now) changed to Mistletoe from Act 1 to 2…as that’s PRIZE currency. So don’t compare those.
Second, read what you wrote. I said the crafting materials should remain the same for the event. I didn’t say you’d be able to craft for the entire event, or you’d hold onto the materials. I just said those two materials would be what you needed for crafting throughout the event. And that was true. So don’t take one phrase in a post from WAYYY back in Act 1 and twist around what I said to fit what you’re trying to say.
Third, when Act 2 hit and I did the Act 2 crafting post I said….crafting would end with Act 2. The Act 2 Crafting post was written after the Act 1 crafting post you’re referencing. You’ve got to check the newest to see what’s going on. It’s like checking the weather report a week out and it says it’s going to be sunny and not checking it that day, then getting ticked at the weatherman because it’s raining. But if you checked the latest update it would have told you it was going to rain….
Moral of the story…if you’re going to reference posts to say that we said something, make sure you’re looking at the latest posts and not one from nearly a month ago.

Try exiting out of the game. Logging out of your app market, restart device, log back into app market, launch app… try again.

You might have bought all the land that has debris on it. The newer plots of land don’t come with any trash, just grass.
I had that glitch happen to me a long time ago, before I bought all of the old land grid (before several new strips of land were released). I was bummed, because I use some of the trash to decorate. (Broken windows and such around Cletus’ farm and Nelson/CCL’s houses, nuclear waste by Radioactive Man’s fortress and the nuclear plant, etc.) Don’t worry- if it’s the glitch, the junk will come back eventually, but if it’s not the glitch, you may have purchased all the plots of land with trash/junk available. (Really sounds like the glitch, though, since you said it was there last week and now it’s gone. Try waiting until after the event to see if it returns, and if you don’t want to wait, try a hard close or uninstalling/reinstalling. Make sure you have your game saved with an Origin account first, though!)

Is the playdough factory supposed to give a payout? When I tap on it, it just says ‘playdough factory’. Usually the buildings that are just for decoration don’t do anything when tapped. Just wanted to know if it was just me.

Huh, I just noticed that the Heights leaderboard got taken down. I wonder if that was intentional, but frankly it’s no real loss. All I ever used it for was to take a Friend count.
I found it a very useful navigational tool…much faster to get to a specific person’s town using that than having to scroll through the neighborhood list. I’m hoping that it was just a mistake they made when taking down the ribbons leader board and that it will return with the next update.

why do they bother having vandalizing as an option? Seems like it has no benefit except make people mad. I do not want to accidentally do that to someone when tapping for bears.
Hope everyone’s event went smoothly this season. This event in particular is slowly becoming one of my favorites. Let’s hope next years’ christmas is even better.
When I was a newer player, I LOVED it when people vandalized me, because it gave me a way to earn a few precious extra dollars from buildings which, otherwise, wouldn’t have earned me anything! Since you don’t have very many buildings in the early days, this can be an important source of income. And, once you get a lot further into the game, you can just buy a bunch of training walls to counteract any potential hit to Righteousness. (Although, if you were here for the tennis courts or wailing walls, the amount of the bonus multiplier you got from those makes the maximum 1% loss from a totally zeroed out Righteousness rating seem kinda insignificant and not all that worth “protecting.”)
Plus, it’s kind of fun seeing “El Barto” and stuff around town…makes it more like the show. Not everyone minds being vandalized.
Vandalizing serves one very useful purpose, which is providing Friend Actions when all your buildings have been harvested.

Really surprised about the number of people complaining they didn’t know that everything would disappear – loads of timers everywhere, plus an extra warning from you guys. Just goes to show that a lot of people don’t even have patience enough to spent 2 mins to read what you write before commenting/complaining/asking questions.
That’s what baffles me the most, how do you know about this site, how to comment (maybe it’s different for other people but I have to go to the bottom of the page to comment, which means I’m at least scrolling past the entire post and bolded text jumps out at you, even if you haven’t bothered to read the post – I’m assuming, I read what I’m responding to), but don’t notice the warnings in the game itself? How do you not see the (often bolded) text in the very post you’re responding to? It’s natural to miss something now and then but when the whole post is about why not to worry because you’ll get Maggie, or that crafting will be ending, and there’s 200 comments of “Will I still get Maggie” or “Will there still be crafting” I’m just ???????? How can you be confident that crafting will be around when there’s stuff saying “hurry” “ends” and a countdown? And if you’re not confident, why would you risk waiting to craft items, regardless of this site? Why risk it? If there ARE new items added in Act 3 to craft, they’ll give you enough time to save up more currency for them. Why sit on “thousands” of baubles and bows when there’s a timer counting down to zero on the crafting screen and a “hurry up!”? Has EA ever introduced a new craftable at the last minute that requires massive amounts of saved up crafting currency?

Hi, I’m having problems with the game and it all started with trying to get Maggie I followed all the steps to get Maggie in act 2 but nothing happened and the game kept crashing when ever I tapped on Marge. I waited for act 3 to finally get her and everything was going fine after I started the Seems to Be the Hardest Word quest but after I clicked on Marge the game crashed again. Now I can’t even play, every time I log in I can see my Springfield for a couple of seconds only for the app to crash. I’ve tried everything (turning of my device, logging in and out of my account, and deleting and installing the app). Nothing seems to work. Is anyone else having this problem? If anyone can PLEASE help it will be much appreciated.
You tried all the Basics we would have suggested. You need to contact EA next if our basic troubleshooting doesn’t help.
It took one of my towns about five times before it quit crashing and the movie played.

Bought RBBB Babysitting Service (don’t care about the “should I buy,” price seems fair and Lucille’s animations are hilarious 🙂 Noticed one thing weird, though, the footprint on it is “off,” meaning it’s turned 90 degrees wrong. When the building faces the water, the footprint doesn’t actually extend to the left edge of the building. It does, however, extend further back than it should.
Yeah i noticed that too. You can actually place it overlapping other buildings because of this little glitch
