I loved the new episode. Just wish they would have added her to the game

  2. It was a good episode. Homer’s b story was very funny.

  3. I liked it.

  4. Pretty good episode.
    Give it a solid “B”.

Who here hasn’t shoved lasagna into a wall???

  5. LOL I loved this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Does anyone else think that the show is starting to resemble the game? It used to be the other way around. Now it seems like I’m seeing more and more elements of the game inserted into the show. I know it sounds weird considering the the game is based on the show. 🤔

    • Follow up. One of the things I’ve noticed is that characters and buildings that wouldn’t normally be associated with each other, are now appearing together in the show. I’m not sure if I’m expressing myself clearly. All of a sudden squid port is in the show now? The juggler on the boardwalk? These are all elements of the game. Yes. I know what you’re saying. The elements of the game are taken from the show. Yea yea. I get it. But that’s not my point. I’ve been watching the show from the very beginning. The first nine or ten years of the show, each episode was one storyline, with perhaps one side story. There was purpose to each episode. Now it seems like the show just meanders around, and random characters and locales are inserted into the show with no real purpose in relation to the story. I think Fox, EA, etc are very aware of the power of the game. They want us to know that they’re thinking of us as gamers, but not so much as viewers of the show now. It’s like they know where the true money lies now. In the game. Not the show. As far as I’m concerned, the show peaked 20 years ago.

      Any thoughts?

I was totally with you until you said the show peaked. Although I grew up with them from Simpsons Roasting On an Open Fire (we didn’t have cable so Tracy Ullman was before me) yet my 3 of my top 5 episodes are now from the past 5 years. Tonight was in the top 10, they’re dealing with issues that affect us all now more than ever. I for one think it makes the show stronger than ever. I still laugh but more importantly it makes me think.

        “Our water’s on fire”

        • The show has been on 20 plus years. It has long since peaked.
“dealing with issues that affect us all now more than ever”, when it completely turns into an ABC after school special, it will have jumped the shark as well.

  7. So does anyone know who sang the parts? Voice sounded familiar

  8. YEAH! I stayed for the whole thing before commenting (saw the image of her and Blinky!)

I had to search her voice (the regular voice I know, I’m not fimiliar with the woman who does the singing voice)

strangely thought she would end up in the clouds with BGM by the end.

Squidport Jugglar was the best part of the whole episode.

Tirefire seen from Squidport? Really!? (I know things move around Springfield but that made little sense)

Better than I expected but still a so-so episode.

  9. Gal of Constant Sorrow sounds like a play in the song from O, Brother Where Art Thou, “A man of constant sorrow”. Nice.

  10. I has a sad because I first read the episode as “GIL of Constant Sorrow”.

Ol’ Gil, he never gets a break.

  11. I was pleased with the Grandpa/Frink episode but this storyline feels like it’s going to weigh to heavily on this (assumably) one time character which in my experiance doesn’t always pan out. :/

  12. Tomorrow is the 21st Hon!! Just sayin! 😉

  13. Isn’t this the one with live Homer?

Poor kitty! It sounds like yet another good episode.

  15. I like the sound of this episode!
