I’m really hoping that with act 3 show tickets will start dropping regularly like martinis did with act 2, otherwise I have no idea how I’ll get enough to craft safari casino. I have 20 now but I’m sure they are mostly from daily challenge and club cards.
I have just found out that the game is playable in its “pure” version, and it won’t prompt the user to update the app.
I found the 4.18.6 version of the game on my older device, and I could start an anonymous game.
The main difference between the newest version and this one is the absence of “radius selection”, and the whole event.
It was a strange throwback after the main game after all.
How it is even possible?
Maybe since that version, the game doesn’t updated its access keys?

Just a little PSA here until the people who know what they’re doing (read: Alissa, Bunny, and Wookiee) do the crafting post after they’re finished drowning under all the other casino posts, the episode tie-in posts, life in general…
I went through the crafting items and came up with totals of materials we’ll need for each item, each act, and total (speculative, as Act 3 hasn’t yet started), so I figured I’d play nice and share with the other kids. 🙂
Here we go, folks. Hold onto your butts. (And yes, that’s a Jurassic Park reference.)
We all know each item has players club card points up to a certain number of items crafted, so my totals are simply corresponding to the crafting items which will earn players club card points. (For example, the first item, the walk of fame star, awards points for the first 8 crafted, so I’ve counted the crafting materials for 8 in my grand totals. So now you kind of see the setup here. It would look much better in a spreadsheet, or at least in columns, but I’m just putting the raw numbers out for now, because I know someone far more responsible will release a prettier version soon. 😉 )
The Setup:
Item- (max number to craft)- total materials needed to craft max number
Act 1:
Walk of Fame Stars- (8)- 64 key chains
Ficus Plant- (4)- 20 key chains and 20 coasters
Cycling Spotlight- 48 coasters
Constant Fountain- 40 key chains
Sequence Fountain 1- 40 coasters
Act 1 Total for crafting the maximum number allotted at the moment:
124 key chains AND 108 coasters
Act 2:
Cowgirl Sign- (unique, can only craft 1)- 20 key chains and 35 martinis
Exotic Tree- (4)- 20 coasters and 40 martinis
Sequence Fountain 2- (4)- 40 martinis
Sequence Fountain 3- (4)- 20 coasters and 20 martinis
Spruce Moose- (unique, can only craft 1)- 60 coasters and 80 martinis
Act 2 ONLY Total:
20 key chains AND 100 coasters AND 215 martinis
Acts 1 & 2 COMBINED Totals:
144 key chains AND 208 coasters AND 215 martinis
Now remember: The above totals are ONLY for crafting the MAXIMUM number of items WHICH AWARD PLAYERS CLUB CARD POINTS. If the limit is lifted in Act 3, and we can craft as many items as we want, do your own math. 😉 But these are the basic requirements to be able to earn ALL crafting items and players club card points for Acts 1 & 2. (If you decide you’re not in it for the Players Club Card Points or prizes which come from earning those points, and you only want to craft ONE of each individual item, then the totals are brought down significantly, to 43 key chains, 97 coasters, and 140 martinis. So if you don’t want to work towards all of the prizes and craft multiples, that is the BARE MINIMUM of crafting materials you would need in order to craft only ONE of each item.)
Now here’s where it gets tricky, folks. See that total above?
144 Key Chains, 208 Coasters, AND 215 Martinis
Those numbers are ONLY the combined totals for Acts 1 & 2.
Since Act 3 hasn’t hit yet (and I don’t have access to the files), EVERYTHING FOR ACT 3 IS SPECULATION. (That’s my disclaimer warning, just in case the large print didn’t let you know. 😉 )
Act 3:
Let’s assume the Dupes Sign is unique and only one can be crafted.
Nero’s Fountain is an item which I think can either end up being unique, or, if it’s small, EA may set a cap of 4 as they did with so many of the other crafting items. So that’s going to give us 2 different totals, depending on how that plays out once Act 3 is released.
Multi-color spotlight, we can assume we’ll be able to craft 4 of those, since we were able to craft 4 of the other spotlights.
Sequence Fountain 4, let’s assume the same as the other Sequence Fountains and go with 4 as well.
Safari Casino will be unique, just as we could craft only one of each specific casino throughout this event.
So, assuming the above speculation about Act 3 to be correct, here’s what we’ve got.
Act 3:
Dupes Sign- (unique, craft only 1)- 5 martinis, 10 show tickets
Nero’s Fountain- (let’s assume 4, to be safe)- 20 martinis, 40 show tickets
Multi-color Spotlight- (assuming 4)- 20 martinis, 40 show tickets
Sequence Fountain 4- (assuming 4)- 40 show tickets
Safari Casino- (unique, craft 1 only)- 80 martinis, 60 show tickets
Act 3 ONLY Total:
125 martinis AND 190 show tickets, IF we can craft 4 of Nero’s Fountains
95 martinis AND 160 show tickets IF we can only craft ONE Nero’s Fountain
Acts 1,2, AND 3 COMBINED Totals:
144 key chains AND 208 coasters AND 340 martinis AND 190 show tickets
(Unless we can only craft ONE Nero’s Fountain, in which case the total drops to:
144 key chains AND 208 coasters AND 325 martinis AND 160 show tickets)
Acts 1 & 2 are based on what we’ve got showing in the game, and Act 3 is based on the cost to craft each Act 3 item and speculation as to the number of those items which will award Players Club Card points.I simply included the Act 3 speculation here so we could all have an APPROXIMATE total to aim for as far as required crafting materials.
Please remember: these totals DO NOT INCLUDE crafting materials to Upgrade Tiers. Those materials, so far, can be any combination of key chains, coasters, and martinis, and you can use whatever is dropping most frequently in your town. 20 blocks needed to fully upgrade (10 from Level 1 to Level 2 and 10 from Level 2 to Level 3), and crafting materials per block of each level are 50 key chains, 40 coasters, or 25 martinis. These numbers above are for CRAFTING ONLY, so if you haven’t upgraded your levels fully yet, don’t look at those numbers and think, “Hey, I’m pretty close, I’ll stop tapping for a while.” No. Bad, bad idea, Tappers. The totals are IN ADDITION TO the materials you spend to upgrade your Levels/Tiers. (I had to put this last part in, because if I’m trying to be helpful by sharing the work and then somebody looks and says, “Oh, I haven’t spent a single crafting material yet to craft an item or upgrade, and I’m almost there!”… and doesn’t realize that UPGRADING IS NOT INCLUDED, I’m going to be really bummed that I wasn’t clear and somebody stopped tapping diligently. Be diligent. For real. Like, FOR REAL.)
Anyway, I hope this is helpful for somebody. It’s just a temporary approximation until our beloved Addicts put up the actual crafting post, which will probably make more sense than this and have the exact item count for Act 3 (and be much, much prettier). But here it is. Stuff from my brain to yours.
I’ll be out for most of the day Thursday (doc appointment), so when most of you see this, I won’t be around, but if anyone finds any flaw in my math or logic, please let me (and everyone else) know. It’s been triple-checked, but hey, typos still happen.

Alissa, I swear, this wasn’t a push!! I hope I didn’t step on your toes! That wasn’t my intention at all. This was just a “let me share my numbers in case they help someone, or in case somebody else has different ones, we can compare and make sure we’re on the right track.” I discovered something, too. When trying to share numbers, it’s impossible to do it without a LOT of verbal explanation! I thought I’d just leave the numbers here, it would take me 10 or 15 minutes to type it up, and that would be that. But with all the explanations so my comment didn’t end up screwing somebody up, it just kept going and going and going… It took almost an hour and a half to leave what I thought would be an easy, helpful comment!! And it’s nowhere near as detailed and efficient as you 3 do!! I don’t know how you do it, I swear. I’d be insane. Literally. As much info as you put out, as fast as you do it? Good lord, woman!! It’s UNBELIEVABLE!!

So, by your estimation, is getting all of that doable? I’m still working on upgrading to Level 3 so I haven’t given much thought to the actual crafting part yet. I probably won’t need/want everything (not interested in the Spruce Moose, for example), but I’m hoping that, once I stop spending all of my crafting materials on upgrades, I’ll still have enough time to earn enough more materials to get the stuff I want to craft (including the Safari Casino and a bunch of the walk of fame stars and maybe some fountains and/or spotlights).
I really do think so! So far, I’ve got the complete number of keychains and coasters needed to craft all of the crafting items requiring them. I’m almost to the halfway point on the martinis (around 160 of 340, so crossing that halfway mark soon). My rate of play is constant, lol, but since the gamblers only appear once every 5 minutes and can’t appear more frequently, it doesn’t matter whether I play constantly or just every few hours. If I sent my casino-eligible characters 4 times a day (which is only a 12 hour day for me but a 16 hour day for them) and clear my town of gamblers every 4 hours when I do that, I’d be getting pretty much what I needed for this entire event (or at least, everything on the crafting board so far for all 3 acts). Some days, I get to squeeze in an extra round of characters at the casino; some days (although rarely), I only get to send them 3 times for 8 hours of my time, 12 of theirs. And I honestly feel like I’m ahead of the track. A lot of others may be right there with me, if they’re a little compulsive about this game like I am 😉 , but I feel like I’ll have easily more than enough crafting materials. Zero stress for me with sending them, on average, 4 times per day, and honestly, from the numbers I’m pulling in so far, I think I could probably reduce it to 3 times per day. I’m sure I’ll stress a little bit during Act 3, waiting for the show tickets, but I’ll just have to remind myself that it will come if I just play consistently. Oh, should have mentioned this sooner, but I have 8 gamblers. I only had 7 up until yesterday, and I still have yet to use all 8, since I’ve got Apu finishing his 24-hr questline task and I had to pull Lisa and the Rich Texan for the episode tie-in, but just thought the number was important. So, I’ve been doing this with 7 for this first half of the event, which is probably why I feel like I could even cut back on my play- I’ve got more than the bare minimum. Players with the bare minimum may want to shoot for 4-5 times per day (16 hours if you check in 5 times), but I feel like that may be a little excessive. I think 4 times is a good number to shoot for, unless you’ve got more than the minimum or even all of the casino-eligible characters, then 3-4 or even 3.
I’m doing the same thing as you are for Acts 2 and 3, upgrading before crafting (because this site has taught me to always upgrade first during events, and it works every time). The difference is, I’m not going to finish my upgrade from Level 2 to Level 3 until I have enough materials to craft everything I want, or at least all the materials except show tickets, which may not drop until Act 3. (Btw, I already upgraded from Level 1 to Level 2 before I changed my strategy a little bit.) I can’t remember what the verdict was on whether martini glasses started dropping for people before Act 2 began, but for me personally, I finished upgrading from Level 1 to Level 2 with 3 days to spare before Act 2 began, and I didn’t get a single martini glass in those 3 days. So I’m going to hedge my bets and wait til Act 3 begins before expecting show tickets.
This doesn’t change our outcomes- if you upgrade first, and then aim for the crafting amounts above, you’ll have the same result as I will while I’m making sure I’ve got all my crafting materials plus my upgrade materials before I upgrade. I’m simply doing it this way because it gives me an easier way to keep track of my goal. For example, I now have 55 more keychains than I need in order to craft all items requiring keychains. This means that if I wanted to, I could bump up one notch towards Level 3 on the crafting tier, since it only requires 50. However, I’m going to wait to do that, just in case they lift the crafting limits in Act 3, and items I want cost more keychains than other currency. (I have zero idea if they’ll do this or not, but didn’t they change crafting amounts during the Terwilligers event? I think it was the currency required, not the number that could be crafted, since there wasn’t a cap, but hey, if there’s precedent to change a crafting issue, EA may do it again.) So I guess I’m taking the
“better safe than sorry” approach.
Sorry for the rambling, Sandra! Hope it all made sense and reassures you a little bit. This really does seem achievable for most tappers. Checking in 3 or (I recommend) 4 times a day for 10 minutes a pop? Yeah, we’re addicts for a reason. I think we’ve got that covered. 😉

Oh- one more recommendation- try to use your tokens at Moe’s in chunks. They don’t have to be huge chunks, but around 20 or so. (I like to do more, but sometimes I don’t have the patience to wait.) I’ve found that by doing it like this, I can spend 3-5 tokens testing the waters and seeing whether the algorithm is my friend or not. If I get nothing but losses with only either low numbers of chips and no crafting materials (which is technically a win, but…) or losses with just a courtesy chip and no crafting materials, I leave Moe’s and come back later when I’m back around 20 tokens again. If I get some losses, but I get crafting materials with them, I stick around. Chips are easy to come by (neighbors, gamblers, winnings), but the crafting currency is the real prize at Moe’s casino for me. You don’t have to do this, obviously, but I’ve just found it works for me. 🙂

a space related mini event just hit my game, brought back the space shuttle simulator, the inanimate carbon rod, and two new items, upgradeable mars colony and yellow submarine, all premium items.
I really would’ve loved it if the Re-Neducation Center had a permanent task to send criminals to get re-neducated, and that it helped with righteousness each time. That would’ve made it much more satisfying to get since I was awarded it within the last hour.
Just hide a whole bunch of training walls around your town and you’ll never have to worry/think about your Rightousness rating ever again.

Good morning fellow Tappers. Is it just me.. ..ever since the casino update my rail yard wants nothing but metal. All but 2 are at the Casino. Hippie is my third. Grrrr. I have to grind away like crazy to meet the deadline. I used to finish with a day or two to go. Not anymore. Now I am down to the final hours. :(. Did EA do that on purpose?
I am level 37 at the moment and still haven’t started the quest to build the gilded truffle. I have completed all the quests before that and the quests have just skipped that and the king toot quests and have carried on through quests. It is annoying as I have started a level 37 quest that is telling me to send Kristy to go dine at the truffle but I can’t! Please can somebody help! Has this happed to anybody else!? Thank you in advance!

and remember, you may have earned enough XP to be at level 37 but you may be a couple of levels behind on gameplay

So about two weeks ago I posted on the open thread asking whether I should add in-game friends. The resounding answer was yes, so I added a bunch. I was amazed that the towns looked so different from each other coming from the same starting blocks. Things were going great: my socialism meter increased; I was racking up casino chips; I got a bunch of friendship points and prizes. Then today I tapped into a neighbor’s town and found something weird. The town looked similar to mine. Really similar. Not exactly the same, but kinda weird to look at. Now, my town design isn’t the most imaginative, and it is possible that this was coincidence. And even if it wasn’t, I suppose there’s no rule against copying a neighbor’s town design. But it felt really weird. I unfriended the neighbor, not because that person did anything wrong but mostly because I kept wanting to change my town to make completely different from that town. And I just don’t want to deal with that. Anyone else have a similar experience? Did I overreact?
There’s a million other towns out there, some are going to look similar to yours, some will make you say, “wow, I never thought of that!”
but I’m sure you’ve realised by now, that having neighbours is a good thing, ……don’t feel bad for being very choosy or carefully selective about who you want as a neighbour, it’s your game,
remember during this event you’re gaining 890 or 900 chips per day from neighbour visits, that’s a few thousand per week 5,000?

I think similarities are not uncommon because we get buildings and decorations in the same order (apart from premium stuff). I’ve been known to look at a neighbours town and think ‘Wow. How interesting that they arranged those buildings in exactly the same order that I did’ before remembering that maybe we placed them in the same order because we got them in the same order 😄😄😄
The bottom line is that you play this game for fun and you don’t have to justify the decisions you make to anyone except yourself so always do what makes you happy!
That is odd. I have heard people copying building designs but the whole town is weird. You can add or delete neighbors as you wish, you don’t really owe an explanation. If it made you feel weird, then you did the right thing. 🙂
It could be coincidence, it could be that someone really liked your design and copied it. Just this morning I visited a long time friend and saw that he’d rearranged one section to be very similar to mine..so much so that for a second I thought I’d inadvertently returned to my own town. I was a little weirded out at first (my town is nice, but nothing exceptional ) , then I chose to be flattered by it instead. But if what you saw made you uncomfortable, then you are completely within your rights to unfriendly someone. The point of Tapped Out is to be fun, and feeling weird is not fun at all!

It was which buildings and decorations to group together and where to put the groups in the town. It was road placement and how much space to leave around each building. Anyway, you’re right. Ok, I know y’all say the rail yard tasks are random and whatnot, but at the start of today, all three tasks required metal, I’d finally clear one, and the next one to unlock, requires metal, clear that one, the task requires metal. Starting to notice a trend here? lol Also usually upon having all three materials maxed before the week starts, I can unlock the first 2 rounds of tracks right away, without doing any more jobs, today, I had to work at just completing my first round of tracks. Getting VERY frusterated especially since I just want the bonuts don’t care about tracks anymore lol. Yeah, I know, it only works out to 250 or whatever per year, but every donut counts.
I still think it is random but that means you can hit some things more then others. Randomly 😄
First week of this event most of my tasks were metal – only done by late Monday evening. Second week far less metal required – done by Friday evening. So far this week far more metal again so only at 20 000 of the 30 000 for 3 tracks…
But maybe that means it’s not random!!! Now I’m confused… I shouldn’t think so much cos it hurts my poor little head 😞😞😞
If my “only” metal tasks were done Monday, fine, but this is Wednesday now, and I just got my first plastic one….which also requires metal lol
They’re not exactly random…they go on a cycle. That’s why sometimes it seems like they only want one kind of material mostly…you’ve hit the part of the cycle for that material on, say, two different reels.
But I promise you that it’s not an EA conspiracy at work! 😉

Hi fellow addicts. I have a question. I have 263 donuts. I am on level 59. I have Barney and Arnie Pie and I think that is it for premium characters. There are so many characters I don’t have so I won’t list them all. Throw out some ideas or tell me to save more donuts. That’s an option too. Thanks in advance for all your help.
I am a premium player, but my first ever purchase was the Pet shop (because I love animals) and it also comes with JubJub. 😉

Unless you wait and see if they bring any new limited time items out, like more casino items, or *IF* they have an Easter event.
If you have already waited, my advise would be, wait a little bit longer until after Easter, because the premium items will still be there.
I think it is worse to buy something and regret it if something new “limited time only” comes along and you have no sprinkles left,..

Hi cube3dex, I remember the Christmas lights on Bart’s Treehouse that you are referring to as well. But I don’t believe it was a “xmas skin” I think it just changed automatically with the Christmas update, The same way as the trees in Springfield changed to xmas design tress, then after xmas, the trees were back to normal.
I may be wrong, but that’s what I remember happening.

In Krustyland I’m at part 40 I believe, building the Tooth Chipper.
You need Krusty free and need to go to Krustyland. That’s IF you’re to Game Play Level 43. That’s for Princess Penelope.

HELP ! Just had pop up message saying there’s a 5500 building limit and i’ve reached it !! What do I do? Store stuff ? Sell it back ? If I buy more land will this correct the balance ? Surely if I start storing stuff won’t that affect my star rating? Plus won’t this problem continue as I play game and acquire new stuff ? Any advice please ?😛
Read the warning again. I’m sure the actual limit was 8500. It’s warning you because some devices may get glitchy with that many items. At the real limit the game may start to become unstable and corrupted on the server. If it’s glitchy at 5500, it should be fine on the server and on newer devices.
That is the hardest thing in the game, (especially for players who like to design)
having just enough stuff for 5⭐stars but not going over the limit.
My thoughts on this…..sooner or later we have to realise that we can’t have everything, there is so much great stuff in the game but you can’t display it all at once
My advice…. Rotate your stuff so some is stored and some is on show, ask yourself what you can live without, thin out some flowers and trees, and remember, every time you get something new, you have to put something old away
having said all that, the first warning can be ignored by most players, all depends on your device and memory how much you want to
“press your luck”
Just be aware that you’re approaching the limit

What about fences, hedges, trees, ? If you just have one of each, yes you can have it ALL on display, …….
but people who want to give each building a garden of flowers and trees, surrounded by a fence or wall will soon hit that limit,

Me too, but when you start getting the warnings you have to thin out a bit, see it as pruning, like you do in the spring with secateurs (was glad of auto-correcktt there)

Hi Lee, sorry for delay (real life chores got out of hand)! I have thinned out trees, they just cry every time I store another one. I probably have as many in storage as out now, I know what can I say.
When I first started I went tree crazy they were cheap and easy to decorate with, I also didn’t know about the item limit at that time. I was just trying to hit my five star achievement ASAP!
I let a lot more items pass now, I don’t add unless I really like something, need it for quest or has a high pay out, even the high pay out I pass if it doesn’t fit in or I don’t like it.
I sure wish we could add more items to Krusty Land out of our storage! Yes EA that is a big hint if you are lurking around lol.
Question: – The daily challenge – up to now if you complete 5/10/15 daily challenges you get some free doughnuts – but now in mine anyway instead of the bonuts – looks like its a mystery box – anyone else have that?

Well here’s a relief…I got a response from one of the mods (“community volunteers” – lol, Swype just turned “volunteers” into “vigilantes”!) about my being banned….here’s what he said ) in part):

You have not been banned and have done nothing wrong.
There is a problem with the forum and many people are getting that message in error. Some are able to log in at different times of the day, then they get the ban message again. EA is aware of this issue and it is being looked into. Hoping it’s fixed by Monday.”
So, now that I know it’s not real, I’ll just enjoy my “bad girl” status until it’s fixed, since that’s a role I never get to play in real life! 😉

Since Act 2 went live nearly 5 hours ago, not one of my wandering gamblers have dropped anything but a chip. They were dropping the odd key chain or cracker and regularly dropping coins. Now…nothing! If they don’t start dropping things I’ll never complete act 2 as I rely on the coin drops 🙁 I’ll also never level up! Still haven’t got to level 2 yet. Hopefully it’ll sort itself out.
try hard closing and restarting. I know it sounds weird, but sometimes that resets the algorithm.
