Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So I’m going to take a short break from our regularly scheduled Casino Event Post or Marge-ian Chronicles episode tie-in post to bring you some exciting news….
Many of you have been requesting it over the last couple of years and now we have our own App! Currently available for download in the Apple store and Google Play Store! (Android, I promise it’s coming (very soon!))…
This has been in the making for a while…so we’re excited that it’s finally out! Now you can access the latest stories from your favorite Addicts in one handy little app!
We’re also excited about the push notification feature with this app! Never again will you miss out on knowing when the latest update hits the game we all love, or miss out on a new post from your favorite Addicts! (Plus you never know when you might see a random contest popup in the Push Notifications…)

So we hope that you guys are just as excited about this app as we are and if you’re an iOS user you’ll download it today! Again…my Android friends the Android Version is coming and will be live very soon.

Update on the Update: The crash issue is now fixed, thankfully. So the pro version now works perfectly! 🙂

Congratulations and I’m happy to see an official app, but considering the world market is saturated with Android devices more than twice iOS, it has always baffled me why developers continue to release Apple first.
You got me…i’m an Android user myself. But I do know the Android version is in process…and the best thing is you guys will get the second version. The one where we correct the issues with the first version iOS one lol

and haha ios users need the app cause their web browser cant handle it
unlike us android users we just click a shortcut on desktop and voila everything is there
My iPad’s browser handles the site just fine…not sure what you’re talking about…
why does everyone always have damn apple apps apple doesnt let us do anything no customisation, things are always annoying you, why not move to android…. I don’t get it ??
The Android version is coming. The developer wanted to release iOS first. The benefit is the Android version will be the second version of the app, so the issues with this iOS version (and changes that were requested) won’t be present on Android.
Love the app guys, and loving the casino update. Waiting, and stocking up on coins for act 3, hopefully the tokens are going to rollover like from act 1 to 2 did?
I really hope the casinos will remain playable once the event is over, and not sit idol like tap ball stadium…. Maybe with chance to win cash, heights currency, donuts? (Like big box)…. I can hope anyway!

Just FYI, when I typed in “tsto addicts” y’all were the /only/ app result, but when I typed in “tstoaddicts” (without the space, like it appears in the website URL) y’all were, like, the sixth app down.

Love this idea. Quick assessment for first day…like the layout and ease of access. Running iOS 9.2.1 and noticed commenting is more difficult though. Text will disappear in comment bubble, keyboard has frozen, and the “X” button hovers over the notification button from Word Press. It has signed me out of Word Press twice today as well. My bad….sounding pretty bitchy, I am 😕
hmmm i’ll pass that info to the developer…we’ll probably have the first update out shortly, as there are already a few things (from feedback) I want to modify…

This is App-solutely great news. very excited, congratulations.
I have a problem with it though,… I can’t download it :/ I have iOS but it tells me I need 8.0 or later, which due to the limitied memory my device has it seems unlikely I’ll be downloading it anytime soon.
I’m sure whenever I buy a new device, I will definately get it. Until then, I’ll just have to do the old fasion way

Not sure on FG right now. TSTO has more activity on it, so it is best to test it out with TSTO first to see just how much response we get and if it is beneficial to our Readers the way the sites have been. 🙂
That’s interesting you would say that as I agree in regards to game play; however, based off of comment quantity on both sites, it seems Family Guy has more active comments, just my perspective over the last couple years 😊
Also, given how stressful, time consuming and ever changing FG is, I personally believe it would be more useful than TO as EA seems to have gotten most of their events worked out with minimal stress
It may seem that on your end… but on ours… TSTO has more hits, comments, and interactions than FG. I would love more activity there but that’s not the case.
Simpsons is more widely acknowledged in general as its been around so long vs Family Guy. So it’s more of a cult classic and spans many generations too.
Overall… it seems a better option to see what responses arise from it. Who knows how this will play out. 😉
I do think game wise that FG definitely could use more overall support and help for Players from us. Just think what would happen if FG Addicts closed down. O.o
That’s interesting. I have been wondering how Family Guy was going, I stopped playing that a good while ago, just found there was not enough land to design your town and way too many things offered that just meant it was all a cluttered mess as well as those low probability items you constantly grind to try and get. Any of those sorts of issues changed by any chance?

A few years ago there was an app on the Google play store that was Tapped Out Addicts….then something happened to it…I changed devices & couldn’t find it anymore…so went to WordPress. Anyways..I was looking at the Windows phones but when I found out about their app store & I actually asked if it had the TSTO game found out they didn’t SO I decided against that particular brand! I guess that’s when I realized I have a problem! Haha….
The other App… well… that was someone illegally using work from our site and a few others. Needless to say, I believe they got shut down. 😉

Oh man….I had no idea that site was doing that…although through that I found this….really,really glad you guys are making this available in that format-super helpful! I swear they should put you on payroll just for the sheer volume of questions that you probably alleviate for them!
Lol. We started as players helping others on another site, then continued that help here almost 3 years ago now. Love what we do. Wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙂
All you guys do is very much appreciated from most of us, I’m sure. Not sure how you have enough hours in the day..tbh. Not sure if there’s a way to donate because it must get expensive to rush thru to get info out in a timely manner…or however it gets done…I also think the community aspect helps alot of us that lead otherwise solitary lives to feel connected & not so crazy to be consumed by a fun lil game.
You have company…when I was thinking about whether to upgrade my Kindle Fire HD (original version) to the newest one, I heard from a couple of people here that the newest one wouldn’t play TSTO and I thought, “Well forget that – I’ll just stick with the one I have then…that’s a deal breaker!”
(BTW…does anyone know whether they’ve fixed that problem yet? I’m not seriously looking to spend the money to upgrade at this point, but if I saw a really great deal at some point, I could be tempted, and it would be nice to know its current TSTO status….)
I got a new Kindle and it plays TSTO just fine. When I have more time, I’ll let you know my thoughts on it as I don’t like it as much as the earlier ones.

You should be able to collapse it…just drag the other screen over it. I’m able to view it full screen on the ipod (ike in the ss above) Unless that’s not what you’re talking about lol
I’m trying to do that, but it’s not working for me lol. iPad mini 2.
What’s up with the settings? It’s just makes an add pop up and shows a written statement. Should at least have the notifications on/off option there. Only way to change that is to uninstall? The tabs have stopped working at times too, even if I tap the <back button on top. I know they are probably necessary – but I'm already annoyed by the ads lmao… Only because I check the site 100 times a day and one pops up every time the app opens so I might go back to the web browser unfortunately. At least they are quick, I'll give the app a chance for a little while and see what happens.
Sorry for "bashing" your brand new toy, I mean it all in a good way, I promise. I just want to help you make it better…

Nope – not on the iPad. And apparently someone out there has a device which shows a search bar, but that’s not on the iPad version either.
Five star app I’ve put it with my favourites and rated it.
I’m gonna give a suggestion, I think add TSTO friends should be changed to add TSTO neighbors, because friends makes me think of a not so friendly place and grumpy old man.

Off topic but last night two of my Springfield heights buildings had a weird glitch. One of my business centers (level 4) had light and shadows in the windows and one of my parking garages (also level 4) had the spotlights lit up on them. None of the other business centers or parking garages had this appearance–they were all normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Sign that we’re getting night?????
Probably not…sometimes buildings just randomly animate, usually a few buildings in the same area at the same time. With some buildings, it’s the only way you ever get to see their animation, because they don’t have any tasks associated with them. (I guess the developers make an animation for every building as part of their “standards” — that way, should they ever need to use it for a future task, it’s already coded in.)

I’m reading this post and commenting from the app. It’s awesome. I’m on a second generation iPad. The only thing for me is on the main page. The images accompanying each article (I.e. Each of your individual pictures) are HUGE. Not a big deal, really, just an aesthetic thing for me.
There have been several other good suggestions already in the comments. Congrats again on the app!
