Viva Las Springfield! The Casino Event has arrived in Springfield…and it’s full of Vegas inspired decorations, buildings and games!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Green Chips (
) to unlock each prize!
The first Act 2 prize awarded at 6,800 is the Newark Newark sign. And who wouldn’t want a giant neon sign in front of one of their casinos, especially one promoting the “Legends of Cleavage” with a rat atop it?
So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 6,800 you’ll automatically be awarded the Newark Newark sign and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield Immediately or Store it in your inventory for later. Remember, if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to place it in Springfield later…
REALLY IMPORTANT: The sign awards 120 
. However, you MUST place it in your Springfield in order to get credit for 120 . If you store it in your inventory immediately and don’t place in Springfield you won’t get credit for the Club Cards. You’ll get credit once you place it. So don’t think just because you stored it you’ll never get the Club Card Points. Just place it in Springfield and the points will be awarded to you.
Once placed in Springfield, the sign has some dialogue that pops up:
Lenny: Wow, a casino that celebrates all that’s great about New Jersey.
Carl: Yep. They have a walk-around Tony Soprano who’ll overcharge you for concrete.
(Note from Alissa…not gonna lie as a Jersey resident, an Italian one at that, this had me cracking up…)

I placed it infront of Classy Strip Club (featuring Nelson’s Mom) -why? It’s the only strip club I have in my town so thought “Legends” yadda yadda made sense there, plus the neon rodent makes sense with Mrs. Muntz’s rodent running away when she does her dancing there.
Just last night I thought of buying a windmill to make my own Moulin Rouge.
Do the game tokens transfer over to the next event?

I’ve discovered (probably after everyone else) that this sign can be placed behind any building so it appears to be fixed to the roof, for people creating their own casinos from heights pieces or whatever is lying around. 💡 💡 ….ah,……….

This is from before the casino event, but what if they just added Treehugger Lisa to the Titans of Trash collection, and instead of earning a premium rate on her cash payouts, what if she could recycle at every building and have a few premium payout on glass, metal and Plastic like Jesse Grass? That would make fully upgrading the redwood worth it!
I meant was for her to earn at a premium rate at recycling.
