Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Just popping in to let you know EA just released an in-game update for the Wild West Update (so if you were having space issues before, they’ll pop back up again…).
This is a patch to repair some of the broken items…quick on the draw on EA’s part.
The number 1 thing it fixes (at least in my eyes)…you can now place Roads, Rivers, Pavement & Dirt on the new strip of land!
Another fix? The throw Garbage at Springfield Elementary Task is now gone.
And here’s another…FPs no longer fall from tapping Bandits in Neighbor’s towns if you’ve already maxed out your FPs..
So basically, all of the problems we covered on the questions corner post have now been resolved! Yeehaw!

I have tapped a few prospectors today but I can’t see who they’re from anymore. Usually the white writing is hard to see but I ain’t seeing nothin’. Sorry to any of my neighbors who stop by here…..I don’t know who to return the favor to 👎
Having the same issue. It’s not every prospector but maybe a third to half I get no name.

So I contacted EA regarding missing Friend Points or getting 1 point when tapping miners when you should be getting the usual 10 or 5 etc.. and they said that later this week they will release another patch witch some award or compensation for people who missed these
Oh yay! I missed out on like 400 ish FP because of it so that’s nice to know they’re going to release some sort of compensation.
Yeah I feel like I was the same, but I’ve had nothing yet. fingers crossed and here’s hoping 🙂
Not sure if this has been noticed or covered elsewhere…but Becky & Mona’s outdoor task doesn’t have the little action icon next to them. Might be more…as I haven’t checked everyone & I don’t own all the characters anyways!!
I’ve got almost 900 mb of free space showing, but getting the message that I don’t have enough free space to download Wild West. How large is this update? Don’t want to delete any more programs.
It’s still showing me 1.18 GB, same as it did before that update.
Did they take away the ability to rush a building job with donuts? (Not that I ever did, but thought this used to be possible).

Ah! OK. Well they weren’t very much help beyond “it’s been on ongoing issue they are aware of and investigating”. So now I think it’s a waiting game for a fix it patch to come through LOL.

Just got the pop up saying that the event card is in the store that doubles our friend list taps, but you usually advise us not to buy it anyway 🙂

Ahh ok, thought it may have but took a good 15 minutes of me being logged in after the update for it to kick in with the ad.
might have been on a timer…not 100% sure honestly. I have to study the files more. But good call…this will probably be a SIB for tomorrow..
Wonder if we can take the “Throw Garbage at Springfield Elementary” as a hint of what’s to come next. Seems like they just jumped the gun uploading the task.
And not a game issue, but like I commented in the other post, I’m not a fan of the new locator where you can’t cycle past somebody if their job is done. It locks you on that person until you tap them. Sometimes I need to keep a person on a job they’ve already completed for one reason or another.
What I would like is two icons, one for people who are done, and one for people who are waiting for something to do. That way you can choose to either assign tasks, or clear tasks, and not have them be in the same list. It’s kind of frustrating when you are assigning tasks to people and people who are doing short tasks (such as collecting garbage) keep popping to the top of the list.
I didn’t know they were going to be adding this feature, but I thought it would be done in the way you described. They can still do that in the future. I hope.
It looks like the icons on the task list are now broken. I have a task that is blocked and another that is waiting to be started, but I see a green check mark.
Yeah, maybe. Money mountain is always green even when Burns is busy.
Don’t know if this fixed the issue of “drop-out” or “exit game” everytime you moved from one neighbour to the next. quite frustrating after two attemps then give up.
I won’t uninstall and download 1GB of data again. Either they fix it or I am gone…

If that’s what you’re waiting on them to fix…you may want to find another game. This one is a HUGE suck of space on the phone. Especially during events. (it’s one of the big reasons i got the 128gb phone when I upgraded)
I have 4GB, I think. My only saving grace is my SD card can be larger, like 32GB. What I’m saying is that I envy you. 😛
My S7 can have a 200GB SD card put in it. D’OH!! I don’t even know where to find one.
I don’t know what the highest my phone can support…but it probably stops at 128GB. Yeah…I don’t think 200GB is a valid size. Maybe you mean 256GB? (Sorry…not picking on you….)

32GB Internal Storage… room for up to 200GB SD Card on top of it. It is INSANE amount of space, but by taking tens of thousands of screenshots per event per game… It can be filled up. 😉

Something I wish they’d fix… when you have a task that needs 3 people to complete but you can’t send everyone else on tasks using the employment office, so you manually have to send 120 people to do things. I know, it’s just a small thing, but it annoys me now that I’m so used to the employment office!
Just for the record, the bug regarding the Cowboy actor set or whatever its called still doesn’t give the 2% bonus exp and money
Not sure if this is related to the in-game update, but I just made another trade and am now at over 5200 clues. Got a message that the General Store is out of clues for the day and to come back tomorrow to make more exchanges. I have a countdown timer to 4am EST and can’t make another exchange for another 9hr 56min.
So same thing that happened during Monorail with Blueprint exchanges. I’ll have to dig further…
For the first time EVER in this game on my Galaxt Tab S (original KitKat rom) I am getting an error when it tries to download these “patches” saying I am out of space, but I have 1gb avaliable, I’ve had way less before and never had an issue with these side updates. Additionally, this doesn’t seem to be a problem if I uninstall and reinstall, but who has time for that plus reloading your game. EA’s “patch” needs a patch. Any ideas or suggestions for resolving this without having to uninstall anything?
Also, I haven’t received a response about whether the Android app affects both versions (paid and free) or just the free one?
On a side note (because I’m too lazy to make two comments, LoL): people should be upset about the dirt, IT’S NOT DIRT, IT’S SAND! Why can’t we have real dirt patches just like the obstacles, I do believe that is what people were hoping to have, I still appreciate the sand 😀

Very odd, mine’s showing me it takes 1.18GB of space. They may want you to have a buffer on top of that…
You are correct, mine was showing 1.18gb too … UPDATE: I decided to go ahead and uninstall some apps I use very little of one at a time and tried updating after each uninstall … was not able to update until 2.4gb free! I also noticed that when I move it to my SD card only about 1mb moves now instead of a majority, very weird update.
I was just in a neighbor town, and all the characters are standing stock still. They say their line and animate when you tape them, but even the bandits aren’t running around. The only things moving were prospectors I dropped and Hugo on his skateboard. Real weird. They just stand there and blink. I also saw gliding Ned in a friend’s town. Creepy. 🙂
Sounds like something from a horror movie or Twilight Zone or something, lol!
I think I’d just back out of that town quietly and go on to the next….
I tapped the three banditos and got the H out of Dodge…I mean Springfield. 🙂
I noticed this, too. Even my own town at times. It might be when they’re on the new dirt tiles or road. In a neighbor town you can’t see the dirt, so maybe they’re on them over there.
I posted some pics on the Flickr group. Very odd. I also have gliding Ned in my own town. When he is collecting metal and is going to the bottom left corner he has no animation.
My human statue has escaped Squidport and is roaming around my Springfield, I decided I’ll allow it for now- he must be craving more excitement

It has become more frequent in my own town now. I wonder if it has to do with the prospectors.

Ya I deleted JUST enough yesterday. Had to delete a few more videos today 😒 Granted they were just of my dogs playing but still lol

My sister still can’t get her update to work, even though she has freed up 1,3 GB of space, which should be plenty. Mine does work though, I had to delete my Game of Thrones audiobook to do it -_-

Sounds good! Unfortunately, I can’t even visit my Neighbors. The game crashes and boots me completely out. I have the daily goal of visiting which I can’t perform. I’ll have to wait on the next daily goal.

I was sad to see that gone. It was a lot of fun sending everyone on that task.
Some android devices are again being told not enough space (even when there is over a gb), you have to either uninstall and reinstall or clear game data and log back in. This also happened to me with the ingame update when the event first started.
I am really enjoying this event so far as much as I enjoyed the superhero event also.
Anyone else’s icon on their device strangely stuck on the Halloween event? I have Homer and Bart being strangled by a tentacle monster, not anything wild west themed. So strange.
Mine randomly goes back to that one every so often. Weird.
Has the Do Narobics task for Marge and Miss Hoover been removed?

The cactus patch that was released with the Sideshow Bob event cannot be placed on dirt! I think this should be fixed!
