Where Did THAT Come From – Princess

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

Howdy and Yeehaw Cowboy and Cowgirleenos! How in tarnation are y’all doing? Liking the 2016 TSTO Wild West Event? It’s Act Two in this darn-tootin’ new event and with every new imagining by the designers comes new items. This of course means the wild gang here at Addicts gets to dive into the Best. Show. Ever. and find new critters like the outlaws they are. For this post, I checked out the wanted posters and decided to ride down the origins for Princess… the ninth prize for Act Two for 33,320 badges. Woo hoo! Lisa’s pony! While not as good as my favorite “big dumb animal” aka a hippopotamus named Homer Simpson but any regular of this site might know Bunny and I have wanted this item as far back as January 2014. Chief Wiggum actually teased this a while ago.

Sort of makes you want to reread speculation posts.  Now I wonder when the sublocker is coming.  Anyways, It shouldn’t be hard to remember where Princess comes from but I still thought I’d delve into the episode in the Best. Show. Ever. That’s what I don’t get paid for, right? Without further ado… let’s check out “Lisa’s Pony” (S3:E8).

Homer disappoints Lisa by failing to get her a new reed for her sax performance. A Mount Bellyache at Phineas Q. Butterfat’s doesn’t tide over Lisa’s sadness and Homer is distraught. Home videos prove that he never really noticed her. Homer is a bad dad. What to do? Spending time with her doesn’t help but there’s no such thing as a quick fix… or is there? Homer decides to finally buy Lisa the pony she’s always asking for. Sure it is expensive but “With today’s gasoline prices I can’t afford not to buy her a pony.”  Homer heads to the Grateful Gelding Stables and finds out that the minimum price for a pony is five grand. He ends up taking a loan from Mr. Burns, gets the pony, and wins back the love of Lisa.

Lol… this Godfather moment makes me laugh every time.  Lisa gets a live poney and loves Princess very much.

Princess Lisa's Pony Simpsons

Problem is that having a pony at home is not the best thing to do and Homer has to pay $530 a month for the stabling of the horse and riding, grooming, and pronunciation lessons for his precious little girl.  At least Lisa is happy again.

Homer gets a second job to pay for the costs. There’s nothing like shilling at the Kwik-E-Mart for the love of one’s daughter. I can vouch for the lengths a daddy will go for his beautiful daughters.  Moments like this make everything worth it.

Daddy Daughter Love Homer and Lisa Simpson

Homer’s double shifts aren’t very good for getting any sleep. In the end, Lisa realizes the lengths her dad will go to for her love and selflessly gives up Princess. There’s a big dumb animal she loves more than a horse. Her dad the hippo. Seriously though, if you don’t get why I mentioned this twice in the post, please watch this amazing episode.

Princess also appears in a flashback in “Lisa’s Sax” (S9:E3) at the end and CBG mentions the pony episode in “Saddlesore Galactica” (S11:E13) aka the Furious D episode to point out the Simpsons once owned a horse and were retreading material.

So yay… we finally got a pony for Lisa! I wonder if I’m the only person who saw this was bundled with a corral and thought about The O.K. Car-ral from “Marge Simpson in: ‘Screaming Yellow Honkers’” (S10:E15)?

It would have been a funny thing to go with the Friendship Prize Canyonero from a ways back. What are your thoughts on getting Princess in the game? Anyone besides me just want to have Lisa hug her for ever and ever? Sound off in the comments and happy classy tapping. I hope everyone gets this prize in Act Two. Only one thing left to say really… “Num num good salt lick.”

TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. I think I love you The Wookiee, and I know that I love ‘Lisa’s Pony’. I wanted Lisa to get Princess back and in my Springfield more than anything, so I am thrilled. Long ago I build a big horsey stadium next to Lisa’s Princess Equalia castle, but Lisa and I were forced to content ourselves with only an old grey mare and a golden bull in her corral. NOW WE HAVE PRINCESS! If I could only catch her and keep her inside the fence…

  2. The only thing I dislike with this event is that it doesn’t really fit with the Pacific Northwest town I was trying to make. A problem shared with the Vegas event. But I’m nitpicking here, it’s an awesome event.

  3. This is one of my top three episodes ever, so I worked hard to get Princess! I absolutely had to get her.

Just a perfect episode from beginning to end. The talent show at the beginning is the BEST. Skinner secretly hating everything but saying on stage that this is their best talent show yet. Bart’s act! “Today’s special is refried dog poop!” My inner six year old still thinks that’s hysterical. 😂

My heart breaks every time I watch Lisa perform with that bad reed. 😢

Haha, sorry for going on for a bit, but I just love this episode SO much.

  4. “Homer in Slumberland” is still one of my favorite moments.

Plus the kid singing “My Ding-a-Ling!”

  5. Level 60 just came in!

  6. So… They released Level 60 today and it looks like this is the last level. Kind of bittersweet, even though we all saw this coming. I’ve been playing just about every day since 2014 (I may have missed literally 3 or 4 days, but that’s it) and have enjoyed leveling up so I’m gonna miss that. Hopefully we can still earn bonuts (or something) for maxing out on XP. Also, this probably means we’ll see more events, so that’s good. Events are more fun than new levels anyway!

  7. Simpsons rules

    Level 60 is here

  8. Yay level 60.
Sad it’s the last one. (Yes, I’m guessing the events will keep coming.)

  9. I was in holidays in florida for the last 10 days. (I had a Krusty burger in universal studio (-: ) But I missed this prize for a short run… Is it worth it for 30 donuts?

    • Did you enjoy it?

30 donuts isn’t a bad price for it…but it’s up to you. It comes with a nice animation for Lisa…but it’s not a full fledged character…a bit of a toss up

      • Ok thank you for the tip. I think I will wait till the end of the event and will buy it if nothing more interesting pops up.

Otherwise the Krusty Burger was good but clearly overpriced… I did enjoy universal studio quite a lot especially the simpsons attraction! I would recommend it to any simpsons fans. I didn’t see Homer character but saw Bart and Lisa fighting but they are clearly oversized!
