We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Open Thread. All new episode of the Simpsons tonight…and it’s the season finale! Can you believe Season 27 is over already? What was your favorite episode of the season?
Level 60 hit last week…along with the announcement that it would be the end of Level updates. Have you been freaking out about it? Or excited about the next changes?
Act 3 of the Wild West Event hit last week as well. Are you remembering there’s still Wild West Bandits to capture? How are you doing with Act 3 so far? Ready for the end of the Wild West?

So I’m really, really hoping that we get an Olympics event. I know some of you will say we just had a sports event and you don’t like sports but I just can’t concern myself with that right now. The Simpson’s have a rich Olympic history and Springy is about all we’ve seen? They have also been to Brazil so Ronaldo could be a character and other non-sports items are available. Also good humor possibilities about the backlash from Brazil over that Blame It On Lisa episode, and the current conditions in Brazil. The Summer Olympics are a really big deal all over the globe (just like TSTO). I’m begging them to not miss this once every four years opportunity. What are you Tappers thinking?
As long as I get to include Gymnast Lisa, I’m in! It would be great if it offered another outdoor visual for her (please let it be a 4-hour one!)…her 12-hour balance beam routine is one of my absolute favorite animations in the whole game! A floor routine would be a really terrific addition!!
My prediction is your love for Lisa in all her forms, compels you to buy Duff Gardens when the patch comes in. Long live the Lizard Queen! If I could give you Queen Helvetica from my daughter’s long abandoned game, I would.
If I can’t keep Lisa’s skin if I store the gardens, then I probably won’t get it, for the same reason I never built Burns’ mountain…would have *loved* to get that skin, but not if it meant keeping that ugly monstrosity in my town.
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is all the XP you can earn with the gardens. It awards a prize every 5 minutes. If all my possible characters are visiting I get 75 XP + 10 more for task completion. 85 XP every 5 minutes isn’t bad at all, I should be hitting level 61 without the use of the collider and no real extra effort pretty soon now, provided I finish that quest line.

I thought I would hate tap ball and the casino event as I’m neither a sports fan nor a gambler. Loved them both. At this point I trust EA to do whatever they want, I’ll probably end up getting into it.
I’d like to see a mini event where Springfielders break into factions supporting Sanders, Trump and Hillary. The dialog would be hilarious. For prizes the talking Jefferson statue, Lincoln memorial and Susan B Anthony statues from Little Lisa Goes to Washington
The question would remain, if EA made a very political event, would Alissa allow commentary of a political nature if tangentially related to the event? 😀 (I’m already scared.)

We don’t know that exactly, do we? Only Alissa and co. knows that. I forgot how tumultuous the gay pride event was.

I loved Tapball and the Casino event too. My fave events. Great idea for Hilary, Trump and Sanders. They’d all have to be dead before they appear in this game, though⚰⚰⚰😪😀😪
I’m with you on tap ball and the casino events, Ryan. The themes themselves initially weren’t my preference (not crazy about sports or gambling as I’m only newly legal) but the events were a total blast in terms of the mini games. Totally loved them!

I’m cool with an Olympics event. I liked Tap Ball fairly well, so this might be good.
Feel free to correct me Vanessa if I get anything wrong here. My understanding is the reason so many places are pulling out of consideration for the Olympics is that their contractual demands are so exorbitant the debt you’ll accrue to meet them far exceeds the profit you’ll realize from them being there. Cities dislocate locals to build large arenas they can’t really afford, that they have no use for afterwards. The newly homeless are an embarrassment they have to somehow dispose of, how- I’m sure we don’t really want to know. Sadly, there has been no regulation of toxic dumping into Brazil’s unparalleled gorgeous beaches and waterways, consequently the athletes must contend with any number of maladies like malaria, dysentery, hepatitis etc. just for coming into contact with the water. The most the gov’t could offer was, get here early to train to get the disease out of your system before you compete. Makes wolves roaming the halls of your hotel in Sarajevo seem mild by comparison.
Now the people are rightly protesting against their Gov’t. for their allegations of corruption and at best, poor decision making. Not exactly the best time to have the whole world over as your house guests. Am I wrong?
Yes and no. Part of what you say applies better for the World Cup, that also took place here in 2014. They built all those stadiums spread across Brazil and now they’re absolutely useless. Actually I’m seeing on the news that some, if not most, of them are a ridiculous financial loss that the government(s) obviously knew they would be from the beginning but OF COURSE they just had to build them for political reasons. There’s a huge stadium in the state of Amazonas, but they don’t even have sports championships. And maintaining a stadium costs money. Lots and lots of money per month that even a monkey could do the math and realize they shouldn’t be built. But they are a bunch of hypocritical jerks.
But the Olympic Games will take place specifically in Rio de Janeiro. So, “at least” (big quotes here), it’s a city where things actually happen, alongside São Paulo, but I believe you hear more about Rio because of the Christ monument, the beaches, the movie Rio, the “favelas” or whatever. But that doesn’t justify things at all – we just shouldn’t be hosting it, no matter where. As for the expenses… Well, sadly, our current economic situation is just so bad nobody even remembers about the Olympics. It’s much, much beyond it. People who have worked 30 years in the same company are getting fired. Huge industries are closing. Highly educated people are unemployed. And some people who ARE employed are not receiving any income, especially the civil servants. Teachers are out on strike because they haven’t earned their salaries in months. Students are occupying schools in form of protest. I could go on and on, but I think you see my point.
Oh, and I might be wrong, but I don’t think malaria, dysentery etc. are really an issue at Rio. They are on North, I believe, but not really on the Southeast (where Rio is located) and South, the two “richest” regions here.
Ok read it after my reply. I wouldn’t type that again either. But thank you for the insight. We all have to realize global corporatism is coming and it will crush us all under its boots and I’m sorry you have to be the ones to first get hit but some day we’ll all be in the same boat tying a cheese snack to a fishing line and saying ‘godspeed little doodle’

I currently have very negative thoughts on a possible Olympics event, but that’s because I’m really disgusted with my country at the moment. Political, economical and financial crises all hitting at once, turning into a snow ball, and the Olympics are happening?!? It’s just SO WRONG. We shouldn’t be hosting the Olympics. We just don’t have the “structure”, because, from many (most?) perspectives, we’re an underdeveloped country. But, since there’s nothing I can do about it, I’m just thankful I don’t live not even close to Rio de Janeiro.
That being said… Maybe I’d feel different if indeed an Olympics event hit. I do like sports – I actually skipped classes so I could watch games. And, well, it *is* the world’s biggest sports event happening in my country. Who knows when the next time is going to be? Probably I won’t be here to tell.
I couldn’t agree more. The timing is horrible. Believe me to those of us who are awake Yr struggles have not gone unheard. I went to this protest in the heart of political reform in the US. NYC’s Union Square. I hope my stance doesn’t offend Yr stance. But at least some of us hear the cries. Those of us who pay more attention to the plight of others than some stupid sporting event anyway. I hope my information isn’t misleading being so far away.

I haven’t seen it but I hope everything works out for you and yours. I didn’t go to support any side just to get an understanding of a land I know nothing of aside from few friends I have from there so I wanted an opinion of the public and I understand they may be biased since they probably all are here because of the same reason and I haven’t really heard the other side. But unlike most I’m trying to learn and understand even if I’m powerless to do anything but wisdom doesn’t die, it lives on in the word. The inspiration for knowledge, especially for those who want to understand all our brothers and sisters. Plus they were speaking a lot of Portuguese and one of my friends could translate a bit but not enough to really get the message which was unfortunate since they were the most impassioned speeches.
Anyway it is too chaotic and the public image of such a major event will only draw attention away from the real issues. The sheep who should be interested in bigger issue are distracted by pretty up the image so the blind think they have a fresh pasture to feed on while others suffer.
OK I’ll stop now. Just hope you and yours are OK.

I really wanted to buy this item after reading the SIB.
Good morning Addicts! Is it Sunday yet? I’m awfully behind this week. It was a long weekend for most of Canada, which I thoroughly took advantage of. Known officially as the Victoria Day weekend, and unofficially as the “May 2-4” (pronounced “two-four”, partly because it falls on the Monday closest to May 24 and also possibly because a case of beer is often referred to as a 2-4 for short….), this is the weekend that kicks off summer for most of the country. We spent the first two days opening our pool – just getting the cover off and cleaning it was a couple of hours of work…, mowing the lawns for the first time, cleaning up the garden and planting, spring cleaning the house, and running errands (like getting new soccer cleats for the kids). We also had company over Saturday night. It was exhausting. On top of that, I had to run two of my kids to a walk-in clinic (everyone is fine – relatively). Unfortunately, I think my son may have a mild concussion from a fall Saturday, but the symptoms are extremely minor. He also has a bad cold, so he missed his first soccer yesterday and is home resting today. I think he’ll be fine though with a bit more rest. He’s improving daily, but if anything worsens, we’ll go the hospital. Oops – main point: all that work led to a complete day of relaxation Monday. Swimming, barbecue, etc. The weather was perfect. About 27C (81F) and sunny. Sadly, I did have to work some because I’m on a U.S. based project right now, but I was able to carve out a bit of time to enjoy the day with the fam.
After a strong start, I slowed down a bit progressing on the event, but I’m well on track, and I wanted to make sure that I got my rail yard donuts and then used the spare 2 days to grind SH currency – I will hit that billion! Now, back to the event and getting through the last prize. After a lot of confusion (and my regret is I didn’t leap sooner), I activated my collider for lvl 60 and ground out just short of 600 donuts. I bought Duff Gardens, which I am loving for Lizard Queen Lisa, but otherwise completely hate and regret. I also bought the mine I wanted so badly and Praire Maggie (loving her!). I decided life can still go on without the Feed and Seed place, but I’m still on the fence about the Hot Springs, which I could live without, but I do really like. So I’m taking some time to think about. I only have about 260 donuts left so I need to be a bit choosy. I guess that’s it. For some reason, my DVR didn’t record the new Simpsons episode, so I’ll have to hope to catch it another time. Have a great week Tappers – at least mine will be short!

I might be over-reacting but if your son has a mild concussion he maybe shouldn’t play soccer until all symptoms have resolved completely as heading a soccer ball can exacerbate the concussion. Also, although it’s not seen as a contact sport, it is defined as a collision sport (or was – I’m not up on the latest research etc) and acceleration/deceleration as a result of collisions can also exacerbate things…
Even if a doctor cleared him to play you may still want to check if he has any symptoms and if he does keep him away from soccer until they resolve. Most common is a headache but if you google it I’m sure you will find quite a list…
When I was in Canada a couple of years ago I visited a school with my niece and was impressed to see pamphlets/notices about concussion and it’s management on the school notice boards – good to see it’s getting the attention it requires. It might be worth checking if there are any concussion management programs in your area because if he is going to play ice hockey and soccer etc he may well suffer concussions over the years and and the computerized neuropsychological tests (such as ImPACT) are often more sensitive to the more subtle effects of a concussion then medical tests – not saying don’t go to the doctor, rather do both.
As I said I may very well be completely over-reacting and I am not trying to scare you but the more parents know about it the better you can manage possible future concussions and return-to-play decisions.

Hi MAB – Thank you so much for your comments and advice. I agree with you completely. As a hockey manager, Guide leader, and active in the schools, I’m quite familiar with the concussion protocol (although have been very much hoping it will never apply to any of my kids). The thing is, it was a very small bump, and all his symptoms are a) very minor, and (b) also completely compatible with a sinus cold, which he has. Either way, the treatment is lots of rest. He has been home with me since it happened, including today, and is making string improvement every day. He is up to watching tv today and is having no symptoms except some mild head pressure, probably still from the cold. If he shows any signs for the worse, I will take him to the hospital – our children’s hospital here has one of the world’s leading experts on concussions so I know he’d we cared for. Otherwise, I will reassess on the weekend, but I think he will be fine for soccer next Monday (it’s also only summer rec soccer, so while collisions and accidents certainly can happen, not as bad as competitive). I’m really not convinced it was ever a concussion, but as you said, much better to play it safe and assume he may have a mild one than not. Thanks again. I admit I was a bit worried I might offend you with my comment – so glad u weren’t!!!
I did my Master’s thesis on the long-term cumulative effects of mild head injuries in Rugby Union players and then continued working with my supervisor in this area as well as heading towards managing and monitoring the short-term effects – return-to-play decisions etc. It was not easy as we had such resistance to implementing any form of monitoring – mainly from rugby union management who were not supportive of research which showed brain damage was occurring but also from some doctors (but definitely not all) who believed it was their area of expertise but most surprisingly from some parents who wanted their kids to carry on playing come what may!
I gradually had to pull out of that work as I needed to earn a living and funding was pretty much non-existent so I am very pleased with how things have shifted over the last 15 years – even rugby management has had to implement concussion testing during a match anytime a head injury occurs!

I believe the original Act 3 post said it was 10×11, but, with the dirt down, I can’t see the squares to be able to count them. I really don’t want to make my Wild West section any bigger than it already is…

It took me forever to fit mine into the space i had designated for it, and then get those rocks to fit around it! I’m really glad we can buy those rocks now (I’ll be stocking up), but i wish we could also get some more tumbleweeds! I’d be happy with non tappable, non-exploding ones, especially if they were trained to stay on boardwalk-sidewalks (therefore staying in my wild west village).
I’d pay 15 donuts each for a couple more tumbleweeds (extra game currency would be even better)

Does anyone know how to see how many characters total you have? I’m just curious how many are roaming around my Springfield lol
The Unemployment Center will tell you, except for NPCs. If you have it, of course.
You can count them either from Town hall building OR Office of Unemployment.
Whilst “everyone” is free and untasked hit the Unemployment office, highest number in tasks is usually a pretty good indicator…
If you free up all your characters, you can check the one hour task at the unemployment office and it will say how many you can send. That should tell you how many you have, minus any characters without a one hour task
I was curious a little while ago as well, so I made a list, and now with the addition of the Wise Guy, the total is 190, assuming my count is correct.
Try looking at the unemployment office. It gives you a total count. I have 151 ATM.I’m still missing some premium ones and some limited time characters.
The only way I know of is to go to the city hall list and start counting…
I guess you could wait till all of your characters are off task and then go to the unemployment office and see where it says “send ** characters on 1hour task.” Assuming all of your characters have one hour tasks and you don’t have any characters with pending quests, you should get an accurate count.
You could go to your town (hall) census and count them all
Wait until all of your characters are free, then go to the unemployment office and see how many you could send on, say, a 1-hour task. That should give you a pretty good idea.
If you have it you can use the Office of Unemployment. If all (or most) of your characters are free and you send them on tasks through the Office of Unemployment you can work it out…
For example
Use the Office of Unemployment to:
Send 98 on 8 hour task; &
Send 2 on 4 hour task;
And then count the characters who were already busy:
6 busy at the Town Plaza; &
13 busy at the Railyard; &
2 busy with questlines;
Then you have 121 characters…
Make sense?
With all prizes (except the daily prize) unlocked, all quests completed, and about 80,000 extra resources; I was really hoping they’d offer craftables, if they weren’t doing bonuts. And EA made my hope a reality. You can now purchase decor items for resources. Woohoo!
They also add some premium decor items for my premium friends.

I am currently at Level 230 and the best cash for donuts offer (assuming the best value is the one that costs the most donuts) is $22,700,000 at a cost of 1600 donuts.
It goes up by $100,000 every level.
I have calculated that when I reach Level 939 the best cash for donuts offer will be $93,600,000 at a cost of 1600 donuts.
2 questions.
1. Do the cash for donuts offers stop increasing after you make it to Level 939 or does it keep going after that?
2. Because I know that the Rat track earns me about 970,000 xp (because I have about 1042% and Xp collider on) would it make any sense when I reach Level 939 to buy $93,600,000 for 1600 donuts? Would I make my donuts back or even make a profit?
Not even close: $93milion will only buy you 624 rat trap trucks.
Absolutely not. Stay away from those offers….far away! Cash is MUCH easier to come by than donuts and you would definitely not make back anywhere close to that 1,600 donuts!
1. I reached lvl 939 and have got bonuts a couple of times since then but it’s still 1600 donuts for 93,600,00 so it doesn’t keep increasing.
2. Mathematically you might actually make a slight profit but it could cost quite a bit of money making sure you get 3 donuts each time. If you have that money it makes far more sense to just use that to buy rat trap trucks and keep the 1600 donuts too!

I used the XP collider and spent about 148 million in-game cash buying (& selling) rat trap trucks. Did nicely on the donuts even though the XP requirements had already been adjusted to the current levels 😄
Using the XP multiplier, I went from Level 75 to Level 232 at a cost if $15million (yes, I succumbed and bought and sold Rat Traps)
Decent return on investment. And my multiplier expires in about 10 minutes.
I’m happy.
Off to the store to buy 7-up for my ailing wife.

I don’t understand why anyone would spend donuts to buy cash. Maybe there’s something on the horizon that requires loads of cash.
Or maybe it’s EA’s way of detecting “suckers,” and anyone who buys those gets special, secret, similarly stupid, offers to help part them from their donuts! 😉

So I haven’t done the xp collider or the blood mobile trick but i an still at level 100 anyway through just playing the game. After sitting at 59 for so long it doesn’t feel right to have skipped all those levels.
What is this blood mobile trick of which you speak?? I’m still at level 60 and slowly moving my xp ‘s. And what is the rat trap thing??
They both give you a lot of XP when you buy them which can level you up and get you donuts
It involves buying and selling bloodmobiles and rat trap trucks to turn dollars into donuts by quickly filling your XP meter over and over again. (This method is especially effective if you have the collider and pay to run it for, say, 24 hours.)

The aspirational category is gone, but the items aren’t. Just scroll through your full inventory (or look in the buildings and decorations categories) and you should find them! 🙂
So, I went into my sons school today to have a conference with his teacher and another teacher mistook me for a student….this happens way too often😣…I honestly get so frustrated when this happens. One time someone knocked on my door and asked if my mom or dad was home!
Based on the image of your gravatar, I could picture you as a high school student. Is your son in high school? Or were you mistaken for an elementary school student?

I honestly don’t see how that could ever have been mistaken. I’m not short, I was not dressed like a middle schooler, and I certainly don’t carry myself like one. The only thing I didn’t do was wear makeup that day.
Enjoy it! I’m really short and always used to look much younger than my age… When I was in my late 30s (or maybe even in my 40s), I went to a museum with my parents and the ticket seller asked, “Two adults and one child?”
Now that I’m in my mid 50s, that doesn’t really happen anymore, but I wish it did! (I will say that my mom has taken to showing a recent picture of me to people like her new dentist and adding them how old they think I am (without mentioning that I’m her daughter) and their guesses are usually very far off the mark (in a good way)! 🙂 )
Oh my goodness, that happened to me a few months ago! My mother and I were purchasing tickets to both my sons wrestling tournament and they asked me what school I attended! And I think it’s extremely sweet that your mother still carries around pictures of you and shows them off☺️
When I was 23 and my (future) husband was 21, my brother (who was 13, but looked much younger) came up to Boston to visit me and we all went out to an Indian restaurant together. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought my husband the check and remarked on how well-behaved his children were! My husband cried out in anguish, ” *She’s* older than *I* am!” while my brother and I just sat there and laughed. (Of course, the fact that my husband had already gone mostly bald by that age didn’t help him…)

I get “carded” when I try to get a senior discount. They tell me I have to be 55 years old. I tell them I am 58 and have been retired for three years. They are usually somewhat embarrassed and don’t even ask for proof.
Constantly carded, shave once a week, most people think I’m mid twenties…
I’m 40, and you think it would be a good thing, but I’m never taken seriously, I’m always treated how I look, young and unexperienced. That in itself is the only real advantage, constantly being underestimated 🙂
It’s all in the way you present yourself, I think…. In my 40s, people also thought I was in my 20s (or teens, even), but people almost always took me seriously. Heck, even when I *was* in my teens and 20s, I was able to get people to take me seriously. Not sure exactly what it was about me that made that possible, but they really seemed to (that was my perception, at least).
It’s better than people thinking you’re your son’s grandma… personally, I always find it rather flattering when I get carded for booze or smokes… it rarely happens anymore.

I’m the same, always looked younger than my real age my whole life. Now that I’m over 21, I don’t really mind as much anymore. I just think of it as a good thing. Some people have paid lots of money just to TRY and look younger. It also proves people are quick to judge others within the first 2 seconds of laying eyes on them.

I kinda skipped the getting carded thing… for reasons. But basically, you are supposed to be carded until you’re 35 years old, but I’ve always looked old enough. I’m very fine with that. So, I guess I can understand why brittj87 doesn’t like her issue.
I guess I should look at it that way but it’s really hard. Especially since I feel I have to dress older than my age to just to try and look my age. If not I get strangers who literally walk up to me and ask if my children are my siblings or if I was teenager when I had them. Technically neither of those are the case, I adopted my sons, my husbands wife signed over rights and I got to be their mom for reals😊. In my eyes I was always their mom because I had raised them their entire life but people would always dismiss me as if I weren’t. I guess my real post should be people frustrate me lol

It’s funny…I had more problems with turning 29 than I did turning 30. It felt like it was the last year I could even possibly, conceivably, be not 100% an official grown-up.
Lol no, sorry I should clarify. The casinos here don’t card you at the entrance if you’re 30 or over…everyone else has to go to the long line and get their ID scanned. So basically my mother and friends get to walk right in and laugh while I wait in line to be scanned. I have a feeling I’ll still have to be carded anyway though lol
As I visited my neighbours today, I noticed many of them will unlock the final prize, Carl’s Dad Caverns, at 4am EST (or whenever they first play) tomorrow.
Being ahead of the calendar has one slight downside. You’re ahead of the wonderful articles that Alissa, Bunny, and Wookie provide us.
I unlocked the final prize at 4am this morning, but unfortunately I kept having the necessary player occupied collecting resources and had to keep waiting 4 hours for characters to free up. So a quick heads up for those about to unlock the prize. The associated quest requires:
Part 1 – Homer 2hrs
Part 2 – Lisa 1hr
Part 3 – Homer, Lisa, Carl 1hr
Part 4 – Homer, Lisa, Carl, Kang, Kodos 4hrs
Just a crude heads up before the pros give you the proper walkthrough and turbo tap.

Why is it sometimes displayed ‘ unfortunately no-one assisted you’ for sent prospectors?
That means that whoever you sent prospectors to did not tap them before the time was up. You still get a payout from sending them.
This notification indicates that the prospector(s) you sent to a neighbour were not caught by that neighbour in the allotted time. As a result, your neighbour doesn’t get any resources they would have had they captured the prospector in the usual (I believe 4 hours) allotted time; and you get a different amount of resources as well.

I’m thinking of blowing up my town for the second time. I have some new ideas and a new philosophy toward it. Do you think I ought to wait until the Wild West is over, or is there never really a good time?
I just thought of something I’m going to miss about levels…. I’m sitting here looking at my task book and four of them (at least) right now are calling for Homer. One of the nice things about level questlines is that EA could use characters that were issued later in the game, because they didn’t have to worry about newbies not having them yet. If every single questline from now on is going to need the same basic low-level characters, that will be a bit annoying.
However, as I was fretting about this it occurred to me…is it possible they might occasionally do a mini-event or side quest that’s only for players above a certain level? Or, they could do something where people below a certain level get one questline and people above that level get a different one.
If the Gill deal was done right Duff Gardens would give us the ability to create an amusement park in our SH area. It would allow us to move over everything from KL to that area. It would allow us to permanently remove KL from out game to free up space and add a trashed KL bus to complement the “Spin the Wheel of Irritation” monument that many of us have and remember well… For many, SH is an ugly grind out waste, but an amusement park has great potential for that space… Why was the Gill deal pulled? Maybe EA needs time to get it right…
It wasn’t pulled; it apparently just disappeared in some games. It is still available in mine. The advantage to have Krustyland as a separate area is that it’s contents dont count against the “too many decorations” limit in mainland Springfield . As someone who is pushing those limits, I wish more items could move to Krustyland. I really dont mind the 3 second bus trip. But i hate Krusty’s laugh!
What’s the chance that the monorail will ever return to the store along with the building tools, for those of us who missed the Monorail Event? I’m actively playing now but was t back then and am so upset that I can’t have that piece of infrastructure for my Springfield. I hope they bring it or some new infrastructure tools back.

It’s not appearing out of nowhere….if you look closely, you’ll see that it’s being thrown out of the window (and I seem to remember it was toilet paper rolls).

I have the old gray mare at my slaughter house next to the barrel of horse parts. I also have a strip club with fort adventure outside of it next to the sleep easy motel, the chapel and the orphanage. 😏

Well, it happened: Game crashed (AGAIN,) and this time it wiped out my progress. Did the usual shtick, restart, re-install, no results. Contacted tech support, said they’d fix it and send some donuts my way. This morning, get an email directing me to the troubleshooting page…which of course just tells me to restart and re-install the app. 9_9

Buy the language and phrasing I’m seeing there, I very strongly suspect that this person isn’t in the US and is more than likely in the India call center, which is notorious for not having a clue, but acting like they do.
If you can, I strongly suggest using the phone option and keep calling until you get someone in the US. That’s your best bet for getting a more accurate answer and for getting some redress of some kind.
but if possible also aim for the irish call center they help a lot to inidias call center stinks

Looks like that is one of those glitched icons that happen from time to time with new tasks/characters. Right now, seems to be happening g when bandits are ready at Moe’s. I’ve seen the back of George Washington, Rex Banner, half of Lenny, etc.

I’m so very upset! You think you know what’s happening cause you read the books and then they pull something like that. What is most upsetting is the fact that for most of his life he knew that was his eventual fate but went along anyway and had no way to warn anybody. So sad. I know they can kill off anyone at anytime but for some reason I never even considered him as an option to kill off.

If you are considering nuking your town, ,,really make sure you want to be committed to a major undertaking ,,if you have a lot of stuff . I nuked mine quite a few months ago & I am still having a hard time being it back. Stuff is in groups ,,,I so wish I would’ve waited for the multi-media tool! That makes it easier to move areas around. Nuking for me,,ended up being a huge pain in the backside for me!

Hahaha right??? It’s driving me crazy having so little in game cash when all I wanna do is farm for donuts!! I made it to level 100 something and it feels like just a tease!!
Ughhh I have the same problem with in game cash, but I’m still on level 58. I guess I just need to justify buying more premium items and boosting my bonus % 😛
My bonus is like 124% I think, which isn’t much at all compared to what I’ve seen other people here posting. I used to buy donuts, but since the beginning of this year I’ve forced myself to go completely freemium. It’s been interesting having to practice restraint, but also surprising how many free donuts the game actually gives you.

Never have. Even before they started giving them away. I used to buy doughnuts with my last dollar, literally. Good timing for them to start giving them away, I recently ran into health problems so I can’t afford them anymore. But yeah I’ve always gotten everything, I love collecting so I don’t think. I’m just a good consumer and swallow whatever is put in front of me.
And by the way I enjoy every single thing in the game. No regrets, love the variety in my town. Nothing is in storage.

BTW, I’m very impressed at how few tasks you have in the task bar! Mine is filled with various ones that started during this event, but that I’ve held off doing so I could use those characters for earning event currency (and recycling).
On another topic…I’ve been watching Ru Paul’s Drag Race and I think that Bob the Drag Queen is SO talented! Have you ever seen him/her perform IRL (since he’s from NYC)?

Well…if you wanna see drag queens, they usually prefer to only be out after dark! And usually in a club, as well, though that’s not always the case. But if you really wanna see him, you should stay up past your bedtime and deal with a few drunk people. Might as well live a little!
But in his tour, he is using theatrical venues in several cities….that’s what I was just wishing he’d do here.

Oh honey of it’s a New York drag queen, alcohol and drugs will definitely be part of the scene. The only time they’re ever up that early is when they haven’t been to bed yet.
A good friend of mine used to bartend at my old hangout and still a place I frequent. Now he does hair for Kinky Boots on Broadway. He does many of the other queen’s hair for shows and is locally famous as a drag queen himself. And they’re way more out of control at 9am than 9pm.
After their shows he always brings many of them back so there’s a very good chance I’ve met him. But I’m not good with names. Think I’ve met just about every drag queen in New York just don’t know many of them very well. I used to but I’m getting too old to keep up with them.

This event was so easy I didn’t see the point in holding off on tasks. At 4 am I’ll have the last prize and have over 6000 picks and 2000 whatever Lisa earns you, badges is it? With the daily caps it seems to slow you down so I don’t mind pulling a character or two off event currency. Like with Snake I started earning guns and only made those during act 2. So once he got everyone started he could be used to do his quest. I should have saved some, now I’ll be bored until the next event.
And no I haven’t. I’ve never even seen Drag Race. I haven’t been to drag show since probably 2008. They usually have cover charges and expensive drinks. I do have a few friends who are drag queens and although I enjoy them it’s not really my scene. I’m more down and dirty rock and roll. I don’t even go to gay bars that much anymore. I find almost anywhere I go like a British pack of cigarettes I’m rarely the only fag in the pack.
When I first moved to New York I lived on St Marks Place and it was the annual Howl event in Tomkins Sq Park and Ru Paul was hosting. I was between shifts and laying on my mattress on the floor, next to the window. I lived on the ground floor and suddenly I hear a familiar voice and walking by my window was Ru Paul. As someone who had only lived in the city about 3 months I was super excited.
How did you get to the end already?? I keep capping out at the store, so I can’t seem to get there as fast as I’d like. Normally, I wouldn’t care, but right now I’m really feeling like I’d like to be done with the main event and have some time to get caught up with all of the questlines and maybe even purchase another new character, and do his/her questline, too. (I did just buy Dewey Largo the other day, to help at the rail yard (and because he’s a pretty iconic character).) Plus, I’d like to get the cavern, so I can finish designing my Wild West area.
I’m surprised you don’t watch Ru Paul’s Drag Race, if you enjoy drag! They have some pretty amazing queens and, since it’s on tv, there’s no cover or minimum! 😉 I’ve always hated Ru Paul (and many of the other queens) for having a much better body than mine, lol!

I really don’t know maybe the premium items that spawned bandits. The fort is every 2 hours, the movie set every 4. I have only visited Neighbors like 2 maybe 3 times this whole event so that’s not it. And I think for some of the questline jobs they pay out event currency instead of money. Not sure what to tell you. I even prioritized the rail yard over the event so Monday through Friday all available characters were recycling with only few working on the event.
Drag really isn’t my thing. I only would go to show if I was with friends who wanted to. Never been to one because I wanted to. I appreciate it as an art form and they can be really funny. I guess we used to be regulars at Drag Bingo night where All Beef Patty would call the numbers. She was hilarious.
Not even sure I get that show. I don’t have cable but don’t watch a lot of TV depends on what channel it’s on. I tried to call my friend to see if I’ve met this Bob the Drag Queen but it’s Tony season so he’s super busy doing hair.
