Nothing exciting. Faux pas by me.
Seeking professional advice and at risk of showing my age but I have been tapping for a couple of years now and very recently decided to download the game onto my phone. I play on the tablet in the morning then try to play on phone during the day but I get a warning, “your other device did not save your Springfield. Sign in to that device to continue.” The phone has auto loaded all updates twice now. Is there a “save” that I should be initiating when I’m done, is it because of Apple/Andriod (tablet /phone) conflict? Not sure. Any advice or tip is very much appreciated, thank you.
I get it all the time. Even on one device. Usually means you left the game too soon and it thinks you’re still in there. Just want to make sure the progress you just made was saved.
In the future, try to force a sync. Go visit a neighbors and back. That will make sure all you did was saved.
Most of the time, I just tap to play anyway and play on.
Thank you Bunny, I will try the force sync, still wondering why the phone would re-load all updates…. This process can take upwards of half of an hour.
Since your phone is the device that is downloading the updates repeatedly, that most likely means that you need to free up more space. Like 1GB or 2GB free.
Tried force sync every time I leave the game, have been able to switch from one device to the other without incident. Tapped “play now” then “continue”. All is well …thanks again
I’ve encountered a bug and if I’m not alone, this is an opportune time to rack up that real estate value once and for all!
A couple of days ago I resumed the tedious task of collecting yoga mats and pills to upgrade my five remaining Business Centers (I started before the Super Hero update). Today when I hit the necessary totals I upgraded one of the buildings but something was off. I still could upgrade the rest although 125 of my 200 pills should have been spent. Lo and behold, neither my pills nor mats were gone :O I kept upgrading with no change so what should’ve taken me weeks took a couple of seconds!
Weirdly enough this bug didn’t affect celphones. When I upgraded the Valet Parking the phones disappeared as usual but the mats were untouched. Also, I couldn’t make more pills nor buy more land without spending mats, the bug seemed to only affect building upgrades.
Has anyone else have this happen to them? Try it out, maybe it’s the event update that’s causing the bug? I’ll have to wait 8 hours until I can try again, I ran out of upgradeable buildings. Only 9 million left to Billionare Haven! 😀
PS: I haven’t read all the comments so maybe I’m not the first to notice this.
Knew I shouldn’t have tried it…looks like this has been patched and now I have to go back to grinding pills, just when I was getting to the point of being able to use the ones I earn via the insanity game to go over the limit. 🙁
I’ll bet as I keep reading through the emails to catch up on all of the comments, someone is going to mention this was patched…my bad for not catching up with the comments before giving this a try (but, between Lee’s comments and yours, I was enticed and thought for once I’d take a risk and try to go capitalize on a glitch before they fixed it (unlike the 40K glitch I missed out on because I was too chicken to try out when I read that some folks had gotten locked out of their game)).
Son of an F. Much have been patched. :'( There I was sitting on upgrading anything because of (il)logical thoughts… I guess my new “logical” thought is to always try different things whenever a new update hits, because you never know what is about to be patched. 😉

I suspected something a while back, which I now have evidence to confirm. When a new strip of land is added, the price of land goes down…for the exact same square of land. It seems the price of the ‘bottom strip’ remains consistent, but as each strip of land is added, the one above it (that used to be the bottom strip) is now one up from the bottom, with a corresponding price drop.
Just a heads up to all my neighbors. I don’t know how much I’ll be in the game the next few days. My boys wrestling team is hosting a camp at their facility and since I’m a coaches wife I’m getting volunteered to help…a lot😆. So, if I’m not able to tap everyday like I normally do, please don’t hold it against me. I will be back😁. Plus, this is going to be my baby girls first year of wrestling so I’m super excited for her!
i hear you on “getting volunteered” to help with your kids’ sports teams. haven’t had enough time to officially commit to any coaching positions, but i’ve already had to step up to asst coach in my son’s second soccer season, as well as asst/bench coach his baseball team the past two seasons. it’s all good though, it’s fun being involved, and if i’m gonna be there i might as well be helping out. good luck with your boy’s wrestling camp, and no worries about how much you’ll be in the game!
You actually don’t need to worry about that…during this event, we only tap felons, not buildings and there’s no difference to your neighbors if you visit their town or not.

Happy Tuesday, tappers!
I finished the chiliad last week and am averaging roughly 50-60 taps on insanity mode (my record is 66). I like the addition of the mini games and I wish wed been able to keep some from the casino event as those were a lot of fun. I’m in the boat of tappers who’d like a little break before the next big thing as I’m in my last week of school before exams and have a lot of work to get done. However, I’ll be on vacation for a week in mid-July so part of me wants to get into the event and get through it before then (but I figure the event will run through July anyways….hope I can still get all the prizes as the theme is my favourite).
SPOILERS AND SPECULATION BELOW!
I associate superheroes with comic book guy so I’m hopeful that they’ll bring kumiko back for the event. I’d love to have her in my game. I also hope they’ll bring back bartman and fruit bat man. Overall, I’m really looking forward to it. As I said above, I’m a major marvel/dc fan.
So, my question(s) of the week: Team Marvel or Team DC? Favourite superhero/superhero movie? And if you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Definitely Team DC here. My childhood room at my parents place is still adorned with three things: lots of The Simpsons, lots of Wayne Gretzky, and lots of Batman. Next to Tapped Out, my next favourite iPad game is Injustice Gods Among Us. If I had anyones superpower (not counting Batman cause he’s just cool without superpowers), I’d probably go with The Flash and be a super speedster. I’d never be late, get so much accomplished, and can you imagine how fast I could tap my Springfield? What superpower would you want?
Thanks Safi! My current room is sort of like yours, except mine has a mashup of superheroes, disney, and then girly stuff from when I was younger. When I used to think about what power I’d want, my answer was always something cool like teleportation or time travel but now that I’ve been unwell for a couple years, I’d like the ability to heal. After spending so much time in hospitals, I imagine all the people I’d be able to help and it just seems to make sense to me 🙂

1. I am more of a Marvel fan but also love DC.
2. My favourite superhero film is probably any of The Avengers films just because they are loud and fun …. not too much brain power required.
3. I would love to have the powers of telepathy and telekinesis like Phoenix!
I also love watching all the superhero TV programmes that are on at the moment.
I LOVE the avengers! That, guardians of the galaxy, and thor are my favourite marvel movies to date. And I love the weekly superhero shows too. Very sad that agent carter was cancelled as I was quite hopeful for a third season 🙁
Agent Carter was my favorite, but I think it was too grown up for the fan boys. It just had a more “mature” feeling to it. I’m hoping that it might get picked up by another outlet…I thought I read somewhere a while ago that they were shopping it around.
It was my favourite too (that spot used to belong to agents of shield but I feel that’s gone downhill sadly). Season 2 was even better than the first imo. I’m hopeful for something like hulu or Netflix, especially considering the fact that season 2 ended on a cliffhanger.
I liked Agent Carter too but my 11 year old son thought it was ‘boring’ so yes I think it probably was too grown up for the fan boys. Hopefully someone will pick it up!
I watched Deadpool last night and it was very funny so I might have to add that to my list of favourite Marvel films!
I still have to see deadpool (along with several other movies I’ve missed) but I heard it was hilarious so I’m looking forward to it 😁

It’s not on my TiVo’s To Do list (partly because I didn’t know it was going to be on), so I’ll have to go check out which channel it’s on, to see if I’ll just watch it on my Roku or watch it live white my TiVo records whatever (or vice versa).

I love this app! However, might I suggest a “should I buy” tab for the menu? I always have to go to your website to see if you have any input on certain things I want to invest in for my town. Hence, It would be über awesome if you had it all nice n’ tidy in a silly little tab full of the “should I buy” lowdown, on your main menu. Throughout all the threads and comments I think the most frequently requested return is the monorail(yes I missed it to)
So how about this EA(yes I know the big three aren’t EA but we all know they lurk) you place it somewhere in the levels between 60 and 939. Not as a level but kind of like the homerlayas progression. If you tied it up with items that cost donuts then it would be worth it. It would reward us for sticking with the game and wouldn’t penalise older players who have been there,got that and don’t want to see a repeat event.
I wrote an article on my opinion on the matter. You’ll have to peruse my “blog” (name=link), but the gist is that I think it’s intentional that you might miss getting some of these cool things. That makes you want to never stop playing. Just look at the Chiliad. Who would have known we’d get a permanent mini-game from it instead of just from larger events like Monorail or the Maggie Special (Winter 2015). Those people that say “you can just not play” are wrong. You can never stop. I sold my soul for that Rail Yard. You can’t have it. Jealous enough now? 😉
But, anyways, I do like your idea. I really wish EA had done some more cool things with these extra levels.
I estimated that I probably need to set aside 1500 donuts for the coming superheros 2 event. Inclusive of new and returning items.
Did you miss the first superheroes event?
No I didnt. But there were items I didn’t buy, like Bartman, the running lizard man, Burn Batman, Beach house, some kind of floating fortress of radioactive man, Batman Cave? I estimated that for a perfectionist, that event would cost him 700 donuts. So to cater for coming event and to buy returning items, I think need to set aside 1500. 🙂
Three were several premium items I didn’t get the first time, but I’m not sure that I’d get them this time, either, if they come back. I know at the time, I got Spider Pig, and that was all that mattered! 😉

Ok, so fairly recently an update added a little box in the quest part of the task book for inactive quests, is there a way to force a quest into that box so I don’t have see it anymore?
I would love to move the Mr Burns cash pile thing into that box as I don’t want to do that particular quest right now as I simply don’t have the spare funds to do it. Thanks in advance 😀
The game decides what goes in there. No way I know of to put a task there.

My favourite instance of this was approx 12 tasks out of the box and one in it. No space saved. Genius!
I’m guessing that the tasks have to be sitting in your task book for a certain length of time untouched before they get moved into the box. So, if you have a bunch of tasks that are only a few weeks old, they won’t get stored in the box. But, after several months of having been I my task book, BoBo and the second generation Springfield Heights buildings task ended up in the box when it arrived in our game.
Sorry I haven’t been playing. I have been in the hospital twice. I had fluid removed from around my heart and left lung. I will pick it up again when I am feeling up to it.

Here’s my belated “Sunday” update…
TSTO-Related:
Like a lot of folks, finished the mini-event quite a while ago and have been enjoyed catching up on questlines and, generally, taking it a bit easy. I added Jasper to my collection, which, from an iconic-characters perspective, was way overdue. (I’ll confess, I also started getting worried about what was coming to Springfield Heights that was having the game push free pills on us and give us the Googleplex, so Jasper’s pill-making ability was starting to look particularly appealing. I also really want to get Disco Stu, to help with yoga mats (and because he’s iconic, too), but I worry that I’ll spend the 180 donuts and then they’ll put him on sale again and I’ll kick myself over him *again* (the first time was for not getting him the first time he was on sale).)
As far as the turtle game goes, I continue to consistently score in the 30s every single time, twice a day since the game began. I think 31 was my lowest and 38 my highest, but that’s about as much variation as I’ve seen. I think I’ve been pretty lucky with the bonus items though..I’ve gotten two (or three?) pumpkin patches and a couple of Stonecutter walls. Haven’t gotten the god yet….

I don’t have much to add that I haven’t already said in response to other comments about the horror in Orlando, so I won’t go there, other than to say how sad it made me (and how proud of the people who responded to this tragedy in wonderful, supportive ways).
So…my weekend. It took about 8-1/2 hours on Saturday and another few hours on Sunday, but the purging and packing at the office is finally done! The total count of boxes now occuying floor space in my small living room and even smaller upstairs hallway is 34 (I kid you not) – about 60% the type of boxes copier paper comes in and 40% bankers boxes (the kind that you can put hanging file folders in). I also brought home assorted stuff that wouldn’t fit in a box…a couple of plants, a nice vase of artificial flowers (nicer than the usual ones), a small white board, etc. And all of the stuff that’s staying at the office (which is very, very little) is all nicely packed up in the three orange plastic moving crates they gave us to use for the move. After next Sunday, when I have to go back to the office to unpack, I should be done spending my weekends in the office (although I’ll still likely have to work at home during part of the weekend some weekends). I also got a chance to see the new “agile” area….I can’t even begin to describe what I saw right now…maybe another time,,,
I am taking tomorrow off from work, however, to celebrate our 30-year anniversary with my husband! Such a very long time….but our relationship is, in some ways, better than it’s ever been (it would be even better if he had a job, but otherwise…). We’re thinking about driving into town to our old stomping ground (where we lived during, and right after, college), which has become quite a restaurant-rich environment! There’s a place I’d like to check out, which is like a big indoor food court with a wide variety of really authentic Asian food places — Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, etc. I figure we could get a few different things to try for lunch, and then get some more stuff to take home for dinner! Originally I had been thinking more of going out for a fancy meal (I do enjoy fancy food, but am usually too cheap to go for it), but we generally don’t like going out at night as much (too tired by then) and it would also mean I couldn’t wear shorts, which would just cause me pain in my leg. But we’re playing it all by ear…wait and see tomorrow what, if anything, we actually feel like doing…

Unpack?? Hahahahahahaha….that doesn’t tend to happen in my house. We still have boxes in the basement from when we moved into this house 29 years ago! The best I can hope for is to find good places to store the boxes that get them out of the way, but in an accessible location. There’s nowhere to unpack most of the stuff to (although I did clear out a couple of file drawers in the back bedroom, so I *might* be able to unpack a bankers box or two, maybe).
I have this image of boxes piling up around you and small walkways to your bed, tv, bathroom and kitchen with piles of boxes lining every wall. I’m confused.
Why are you moving office files into your house? (I hope they’re paying you for storage.)

Lol! The sad part is that, even without any boxes (yet), my bedroom is already only navigable by a thin clear strip on the floor. (It’s more less than hoarding…but there probably is s bit more stuff than room to properly store it.)
As for why I had to bring all that stuff home, the short story is that my company is going with an “agile” work environment (with little room for storage) and I’ve been working there for over 24 years. (I’ve posted more about this in previous open threads, so I won’t go through it all again.) I actually threw away about 25-35% of the stuff (maybe more?), just keeping stuff I thought I might still need (or that had *significant* sentimental value).
What’s in the boxes? Files, books, personal items, office supplies, etc. (Keep in mind that I now work almost exclusively from home, so bringing home office supplies is for actual work use….)
How long do I need to store them for? Some will no longer serve a purpose if/when I’m no longer working at my company, and even more of them will become irrelevant if/when I no longer do work in my field at all. But some stuff is for keeps (or at least until I decide I don’t want/need it anymore and/or I’m forced to move to an even smaller home).
Let’s hope you don’t have to move house too soon. You’d be spending the rest of your life packing😀
Many years ago, when my daughter was still crawling, we moved house and the boxes that were being packed were building up around her crawlable space. Boxing her in, so to speak. You reminded me of that.

I unfortunately couldn’t make it down to that meet and greet and was just thinking about it last week. My solution was thinking I’d organize a Toronto meet and greet this summer and get together all the tappers in the area. Was going to of course invite all, with three special invites to the Addicts.
That’s a good idea. I don’t think I’ll be able to make it this summer, we’re moving next month, but we’ll see what we can do and certainly promote it. Let’s chat about it in the coming weeks 🙂

I have approx 5 million left to go on the redwood and on the money mountain. I still need to buy all of the aspirational buildings except for the sunphere. I also have land I need to buy. I earn $150k each day at least. I am a freemium player. Where should I focus my money first? Land, redwood, money mountain or aspirational buildings? Thanks in advance
That all depends on a lot of different things.
Are you short of space currently? I.e. When new stuff comes out are you struggling to acoomodate? If yes, go for land.
If not, Burns Money Mountain allows for Burns to earn more cash in his Monty Moneybags skin.
And if neither of those concern you, go for the the thing you think is prettiest.
Sorry for the slow response time I was at work 🙂 I currently have four open squares of purchased land. That feels like it maybe too little for the superhero event. I don’t currently need land for anything else though. I prefer the look of the money mountain over the tree.
I’m in much the same boat as you,I’ve finally finished the levels and have just those items left(way behind you with the tree and money mountain) I decided my plan was going to be 1)land first- after all I’ll need more to place everything
2)save up money until I can use the collider and go through the levels.
3)use the donuts to buy the premium stuff I want
4)aspirational buildings (love the Kristy burger rig)
5)tree and money mountain (not that bothered)
But as wiser heads on here will tell you (looking at you Sandra,SBGIBBS and others)

I used the collider for the first time yesterday. I had three saved up and was sick so figured I’d be on a lot. I got up to level 102 🙂 it was fun. I definitely used the happy strategy when buying the sun sphere. I bought it before getting the last three level building/character combos. I collect world’s fair stuff irl so I’d been wanting it for a long time. Good luck on the rig. That one looks really impressive
There’s absolutely no good reason to buy land before you need it.
As a freenium player, you shouldnt buy the aspirational items as they are severely overpriced and add not much value to your game. The rotating tower has good gluttony points though. I now have no aspirational buildings as I have sold them away twice due to the need for cash. Also no land for you. As a matter of fact, i would spend the money on kiwi marts and brown houses. And grind and grind for next few months with frequent tappings. The aspirational buildings will wipe you dry with little cash left. Same thing for that tall tree and the money mountain.
Understand the dilemma, I have been a pure freemium since day dot, nearly three years now and it took me feckin filth flarin fo fying foo fightin ages to complete all Aspirationals, in fact I only just finished the Redwood and Springfield Heights.
I tap on average during events 3-4 times a day, off season 1-2.
And it’s a huge decision to spend the cash… go for the Aspirationals that increase your % on the Conform-o-meter, I’m only on % 80 bonus and I have most event non-donut and one or two donut items per event placed.
I try and make sure everything I have is placed, I use the Sim(pson) City approach, minimum free land, and only purchase land when I absolutely need it, usually when an “area” becomes too crowded. I probably only have half to two thirds available land, even in SH…
I’ve only just recovered after buying my last Aspirational, the 10M Chocolate Tower, as anyone following my posts will know, it was the last addition to complete my Wonka factory, so sometimes it’s a matter of weighing up sheer cost over much wanted for placement.
And I’ve only managed to save 3M since, after buying around 3-4 weeks ago, just before the Chilliad event hit. Timing is everything. Even though you have 5M, and levels are technically “finished”, we are right before the end of an event. I’d probably hold off spending a massive amount until you know what’s up next. I’ve been caught out with this before, most recently not just before the Chilliad event, but also the level “finishing”, I had no cash to level all the way when the $40K glitch was active.
Just wanted to brag somewhere, and it has to be here because no one around me plays the game. 😁 I’m a freemium player with no possibility of buying donuts, and today I managed to buy Bumblebee Man 😁 Woohoo! 👌 Last week I bought Moleman. So I know this is probably stupid to many of you who are premium players, but it REALLY brings joy to me!!! This was the first time I was able to collect donuts on my own and buy premium characters. I already have Blue Haired Lawyer and Kearney, but I got them via Mistery box .
During Valentine’s Day event I manage to buy She & She lounge, which was (and still is) my only premium building. During Easter event I bought that egg with feet that walks around your cit . And that is all I ever bought with donuts as a freemium player. Oh yeah, and rakes for Sideshow Bob! 😁
Anyway, wanted to share this with you, it means a lot to me. Next on my list are Doctor Nick and Arnie, I wanted to own Dr Nick since I first started playing the game. Also, I keep drooling over the Open air stage. Hopefully I’ll earn enough donuts to buy that one day.

It isn’t silly to be pleased , I used to be strictly freemium and I remember getting Kearney , my first premium character , from a mystery box and I remember how good it felt..Actually I kind of miss those days in a strange way , before I got bitten by the premium bug although I don’t buy many donuts and try to be discerning with what I use them for. 🙂

I used to be freemium but I do succumb now and buy some donuts occasionally.
I think the satisfaction was greater from waiting and saving for that character/building/decoration than just buying the donuts.
Mate, I know the feeling! And also for that exceptionally rare event when you manage to get a tick in what is now an immeasurably unachievable list of character groups!
Spending sprinkly goodness for Freemiums is a well considered, many week / month long event for us, an’ you don’t have to make excuses as to why you do or don’t purchase. The whole point about games like these is you primarily play the way you want. I struggle to donut a Premium character per event, but that’s now the aim. long I’ve managed to judicious save an’ purchase all Aspirationals, I am now leaving just enough cash to get through events.
I still KL to transfer cash and get the donut bonus, and regular neighbourinos will probably have seen the ever closing gap on the pier, and pluggin’ away at SH.

I’ve spoken to word press on MANY occasions about it and they’ve repeatedly told me it’s a malware issue on the individuals computer. You’ll have to scan your computer for malware. It didn’t come from this site.
I can tell you I had it happening to me as well, but only on my work computer. I recently had to do a full system restore on my computer (unrelated to the flash thing) and I haven’t had the popup happen since. They can’t do anything, since they indicate it’s Malware on the users end.
If I don`t have flash player on my system, am I still able to view all the advertisements available on your site?
I honestly don’t know. I know that you need flash for most basic websites these days…
Flash is yesterday’s software, most are using HTML5 but there are some who continue to live in the past. However with flash not supported on most newer mobile devices and IOS it is needed less and less but obviously older software, online games will need it.
You usually have this issue when malware is sitting hidden on your PC, it basically waits for you to load a page that has any kind of flash content, an ad, video or such, although sometimes it pops up without this. These fake pop ups if you follow them then download even more crap. In any case I’d suggest running your security software and MalwareBytes or ADWCleaner to see if anything pings. Finally if not you will need to manually uninstall the fake updater/plugin.
But please believe Alissa when she says that this isn’t being caused by the site, malware already on PCs is just reacting to the video/ad content of innocent sites.
It’s a pain but one of the perils of owning a computer these days. Hope you get it sorted out.

Will you be sending a notification when the update hits? I know you’ve been really busy so I wouldn’t blame you if you stopped, I’d just like to know either way… Thanks.
I’ve stopped because the app hasn’t been working properly. I may do one when the new update hits, but it all depends on what’s going on when it hits and how busy I get. Priority is getting info up on the site…as it always is 🙂
On an unrelated note, when I sent everyone off through the Unemployment Office this morning, none of the ‘children’ went. No special tasks for them, either. Possible pre-patch twitchiness?

You have 10 kids left, doing nothing.
The Unemlpoyment office will NOT recognize those 10 characters until the first 5 finish their “drink a squishee” task.
My experience, whether it be kids, adults, criminals, Braniacs, etc..
What was your daily challenge? Something to send kids somewhere?
My daily task was to have kids buy a squishie.
I’ll say it again, bring the Monorail back for those who missed it! Make it a permanent thing. I’d even pay premium real currency for it.

I doubt they’ll ever bring back the monorail event. It’s been done already. But…..EA often brings back items from old events for purchase with doughnuts. So keep your fingers crossed, but don’t hold your breath. 😜
