Last night my 11:50pm start time was too late, I fell asleep, it’s now ~2:00am , and I have three days to go to hit the magic 77
Obviously, I am not going to arise tonight at 2:00am(on purpose)
Does anyone know what goodies are in store for us after we surpass the magic 77?

Help from any that know my gaming TSTO habits, should I do the “Bartman”, I have 70 sprinklenuts but as Freemium am dilemmaring…
as a kid growing up watching this show, bartman as about as iconic as it gets. don’t remember how many donuts i had at the time, but i didn’t hesitate to buy bartman or his bartcave when it was initially offered.
I know, and it gets me closer to another “set”… convinced!

Anyone experiencing a glitch with losing money? This morning I had over $300,000, and I just got on to see that I only had $95,000. I haven’t bought anything since, and my star rating randomly dropped half a star. Not sure if others have had this happen to them.
Are you doing Burns’ Money Mountain or the Redwood?
Or the cinema. The cinema costs money and doesn’t give money back.
I’m working on the mountain, but didn’t have Mr. Burns on the mission at the time.
Just like the Player’s Club tower, my Burns’ Summer Mansion is constantly downgrading/reverting to it’s original state. I haven’t figured out what is triggering it. Anyone else?
I’ve heard folks say the chili task does that.

Really? Every time I play the insanity cauldron game, my summer mansion, players’ tower, and Homerlayas revert back to their lowest-level facade. (I’m 100% sure it does that on my iPad….I thought it did on my Kindle, too, but I’m not quite as dead sure about that.)
Maybe it’s iPad vs Android. Mine are all fine, except I have my Player’s Tower at the lowest on purpose (and I haven’t placed Homerlayas). (So, just the Mansion…)
Maybe you need to have one or both of the others to have the problem?
Just checked…it also resets those things on my Kindle Fire HD. Are you sure this isn’t happening to you, too?
I’ll double check later by placing my Player’s Tower on the highest facade and then playing the chili game. Each OS has a different app, so maybe it’s still just not happening to Android.
No, no…I first noticed it on my iPad. I just checked my Kindle because I said I’d check that, too!
Yep, I checked, all facades set to their highest and no “resetting”. If it’s not Android-exempt, maybe the Homerlayas are cursed? 😉
I guess it’s just a random glitch that affects some irregardless of what device they use.
I play the Cauldron every 8 hours on my iPad and have never had my Homerlayas,Burns mansion, or Players Tower change facades reverting to the lowest facade.
Interesting…I wonder why some people would be afflicted and not others…
Does the hidden SH bonus only apply to the SH buildings or does it also apply to accessories (side buildings, balconies, entrances, etc..)?
Buildings only. They can even be at Level 1, except for the private island, which needs to be at Level 2.
I believe its just the buildings.
Deluxe Condo : 1% each
Business Center : 2% each
Valet Parking : 3% each
Classic Mansion : 4% each
Modern Mansion : 5% each
Exclusive Resort: ??? Not sure
Assuming you have ten of each of the first five aforementioned buildings out on display in your Springfield (no bonus if the buildings are in your inventory), you would get a hidden bonus of 150% towards your XP only (no bonus on in-game money).
If you were fortunate enough to take advantage of the glitch where you could exceed 10 of each building, than your hidden bonus XP percentage may be higher than 150%.
Any idea why EA keeps this XP bonus hidden? Why not just post it publicly? And how do you even discover this in the first place??
How I caluclate my bonus is based on KEM farming. I have a stated percentage of 187.8%, which EA shows me when I check my conform-o-meter.
However, when I farm KEM, each KEM should yield 2,000 XP baseline; 10,000 with the Collider activated. Yet I get 46,780 with my Collider activated or baseline 9,356 if you will. This means my XP bonus is 367.8%.
So taking this 367.8% and subtracting the shown 187.8% indicates I have a secret hidden XP bonus of 180%.
In addition to the standard 150% SH building bonus for ten of each buildings, I actually have 23 extra Deluxe Condos (+23%) and 2 extra Business Centres (+4%) on display; so my SH hidden bonus is actually 178%. Not quite sure where the other 2% hidden came from, but I’ll never complain about extra bonus.
I agree, it would be nice if EA listed both the cash and the XP bonus, and not leave the XP only as hidden.
Observation: after this morning’s update (7/7/16), I’m no longer able to double dip with my campfire and wild west saloon. If I send someone to either, they are now locked up and I cannot send them on an independent hourly task 🙁

The only change I’ve noticed is that you can’t double dip your Bouncy House, Camp Fire, or Wild West characters.

Yes – and unfortunately it patches the bounce house/open air stage exploit, which I found out too late. 🙁
I don’t know if this has been discussed but the “Sorry Hoarder” message has been popping up in places I don’t recall happening before. Most recently Bart’s Tree House, since I just got Stretch Dude but now I have to wait 8 hours to use him :/

I just noticed that I have an in-store update. I have not read anything about that here (the last few days anyway) and now wonder how long that has been there. It seem to be the “Heroes return to Springfield to fight evil (while gyros returns to Springfield to fight a lack of tzatziki sauce)… What? Am I on the same page as everyone else? I am playing Superheroes 2, crafted everything I want, and have 4000 of 12000 needed for my first bonut round of round 2 of Superheroes 2. If it was just a patch it would not come from an in-store update, right? If so I would have seen it somewhere. Maybe it is for those with my device only? Anyhoo, I hesitate to click update as I don`t want to start the whole darn event over again from scratch. This is just different and unexpected. Momentarily paranoid minds want to know…

It is a patch that fixes the glitch of sending a character to the moonbounce, Open Air Stage, etc., and then being able to task them again.

Hi. Any suggestions to eliminate the constant crashing? My game has never crashed in the past…now all of a sudden it crashes at least twice while playing.
Do you have the Monorail running in your town? If so, just disable it by moving track pieces. Store any NPCs and animated things you don’t need. Hopefully that will help.
Here’s a fun fact I don’t remember seeing anyone mention (which may be just because I have a crappy memory…)…. While it takes 12,000 Soilant Reds to get to the bonus box rounds each time in this Issue (as opposed to just the 10,000 brass knuckles it took in the last issue), the criminals in your town now yield 4 pieces of event currency each, instead of only 3, which is a better rate of return compared to target number. (But that’s way outweighed by the fact that the battles, win or lose, haven’t changed their payouts, and the vast majority of my event currency is earned through those, especially since I’m playing the “lose-to-win” strategy.)
I thought that the daily first battle win award had gone up, maybe by 50. Thanks for pointing out the rest.
Anyone else having strange things happen in their Springfield? All my animations going crazy, even ones I didn’t know existed ( scorpions on wild West rocks, bats flying around), plus my criminals have stopped creeping and started sideways dancing!
Happens sometimes. I like it.
The sideways movement of the criminals is part of the event’s storyline (Soilant Red turning people into crab-like beings).
The animated stuff is a fun thing that happens randomly from time to time (usually for just a section of your town at a time, but I guess, sometimes, maybe it can be the whole town). Enjoy it while it lasts…it usually goes away once you leave and come back!
so this is about the fifth or sixth time it’s happened to me and it’s really starting to piss me off. Has anyone else had their game redownload almost 1 gigs worth of “updates”? currently my game is downloading 455 updates at 1040.5MB. this has only happened since this event and it takes forever to finish over wi-fi (not going to spend my data if i can help it).
That sounds like your device doesn’t have enough free memory on it. You should have at least 2 Gb completely free. If that doesn’t work, try clearing the cache, then uninstall and reinstall to make sure you have a clean copy of the game. Only uninstall if you have an origin ID, which you really should get one if you don’t. Hope one of those works for you. 🙂
Yep, happens to me. Even from before this event, too. Clearing space, I suppose. But who knows, really. Probably a faulty code change EA made to the game that requires more space than it needs. I used to get by on almost no space free, with plenty of apps and everything loaded. Now it can never be free enough so that I have to uninstall the game and reinstall just to get it to download the new updates. Time for a new device.

Move was a disaster to point I’m filing state complaint! Had to make another round trip today. But we are all safe except hubby he is on way with yet another load keeping fingers crossed till he is here.
We are all happy and settling in nicely . Dogs are getting along great, I now sleep with 4 dogs, oh and husband!

I just got into a chat with an EA rep about my missing donuts. I completed all 15 daily challenges but never got the 10 donuts.
Are you sure you claimed them? They don’t automatically award it to you. You have to click the claim button at the top. I lost a mystery box that way. Hope you get your donuts.
They found out the error was legit. I was given the 10 donuts.

I just lost 1 donut for a daily challenge. I always check my count before accepting my reward. I hope EA fixes that for you. I’ll just live without my 1 donut but 10 would be harder to swallow.
The rep opened a ticket to follow my progress. Of course they warned me that filing a bogus report had certain consequences. They went into my account in great detail. I wasn’t given the donuts. So EA gave them to me. I was sure to thank them.

Has anyone purchased the aqua world premium pieces? Seem to remember simp7fan dithering about it and I’m so stuck on the fence I’ve got splinters. Not even my three whale neighbours have succumbed so I can’t even use theirs to decide.
Dithering, huh? lol. No, I never was going to get the premium aqua world pieces. I only “dithered” on the craftable. Still waiting until I have way more than enough card.
Sorry, can’t help you, but I thought I heard some have purchased it, maybe it was elsewhere. One of the pieces looks pretty much like the craftable and is a similar size. I’m not sure about the others. I’d ask ryan. Reply to him somewhere in the comments and maybe he’ll give you an answer in time.

I too have been on the fence about spending my donuts on some of these items. I haven’t seen a Should I Buy post about them. If they don’t come with any bonus %, I won’t get them. The description only says what episode they come from but nothing else. Does anyone know if these items come with any bonus %?

It’s not for me for a few reasons but I have seen a completionist neighbor of mine split up the pieces to blend them in quite artfully into their Squidport.
I got the craftable ones..That was enough for me. Although I wish they’d make the water area further out. I’d like to set the islands and aqua world farther from shore.

Nope it’s new stuff. It’s the talk of the town. Someone told me so I had to go in and see for myself. Maybe they’ve done it to increase foot traffic!
I hope it backfires on them…that’s just *wrong*! It already drives me nuts that Christmas stuff has started to go up the day after Halloween…I think it shouldn’t start until the day after Thanksgiving, but I’d settle for at least mid-November (not that retailers have any reason to care what I think, lol!).

I think “Christmas in July” became a “thing” because maybe people were feeling all hot and sticky (get your minds out of the gutter, people! 😉 ), and were feeling nostalgic for the colder weather and snow. Otherwise, I don’t know why it’s July and not June, which is the month that’s actually 6 months away from December (so your birthday specialness should actually still be intact).

Question for those of you with smartphones (which is probably everyone here but me)… Can you give me a sense of how many GB it uses up to do various activities in your smartphone? I have no sense of what size plan I’d need/want to sign up for, if I ever decide to join the reset of the world and get a smartphone. If I got caught out when a TSTO update hit, without my expecting it, and it updated over my cellular connection (instead of wi-fi), what would that use up? What about just regular TSTO tapping? If I were doing some Google searches or other general web surfing, how data-intensive is that? What about watching YouTube videos people list in my Facebook feed? What about watching a one-hour tv show? Listening to streaming music/podcasts?
I’m not expecting an answer to each of those (that would be too much to ask of anyone)…I’m just giving you an idea of the kinds of things I could see happening with my phone, depending on the cost.
You want unlimited with your plans youll run out of data fairly quickly think of it this way the data used is just the physical space it takes up their for the update to tsto would take as much data as it is big so if its a 300 megabyte update then thats also how much data it would use and for media online or Facebook video it’ll eat your data up for as big as the video is so if your watching in hd thats even more data i think without unlimited your gonna run in to a problem just remember when you load the page the amount of space thouse items on the page would take up if you had them on your computer is the amount of data they would use
Hi Sandra, I don’t use video or music streaming when I am outside without WiFi. I am on a 10 GB old data plan. Why I said old is because this plan is no longer offered. I think now the default is 2 GB. For most people, they usually cannot exceed this amount. But you would if u freely use YouTube all the time. I simply refused to recontract which will force me down to 2GB but then it comes with new 4G access. I am still on old slower 3G access.
With unlimited free video/audio on my plan not counted, I use about 5GB of my 6GB plan. The game will warn you when an update could be downloaded so you can switch to WiFi. I have enough data stash now that I ignore the warning and download. Must play game….

I am new at smart phones, but I just signed up with Consumer Cellular and bought a 4G capable IPhone 5s for $125 over 6 months interest free.
Their data usage is very flexible. If you start to go over, they will notify you. If you discover you are using far less than you paid for, you can down grade. Every month. And at day 29 of the 30 day month.
In any case, go sit outside a Starbucks or McDonalds and use their Wifi instead of your data plan.
If I were just going to use Wi-Fi, then I probably wouldn’t even be considering a smartphone – I’d just continue to use my Kindle Fire HD (or iPad) for online stuff and my “dumbphone” for calls. But I appreciate hearing the info about the plan you’re on…that’s all interesting info.
Part of what got me started thinking about this again was a video I saw about a possible new set of plans and features that my current cellphone carrier, Verizon, might be releasing. I was trying to get a sense of which options in the set might be sufficient for my needs. Plus, every time I start to think about this whole switching to a smartphone thing, I’m a bit stymied by my lack of any sense of how much data is likely to need/use.
Ideally, I’d prefer to go unlimited, but, fiscally, that wouldn’t be prudent. My husband and I currently share a 500 minute voice and text only (although neither of us have phones that text, for all practical purposes) plan for about $50 a month. Given that I currently spend about $200 a month for cable, internet, and landline (we have the biggest cable tv package available), I’m not looking to spend a lot of money on cell phone stuff. But it would be nice to have a smartphone and all of the advantages attached to that…
I think that the two of us share 250 minutes, 2000 texts, 250mb for ~$35/ month
Upgrades to 1000 minutes is +$10/ month.

I just went through this was going to give Mother in law my old iPhone. Every smart phone out there has to have a data package, they usually go over that part very quickly. Data is $20 for min which husband and I share and we have smallest package 3 gbs. I don’t use the Internet to check emails much so we never go over. I also don’t have my S.F. On phone too much memory. I do use mine a lot for pics too the I phone have has a special camera on it.

I find 1gb to be sufficient. The trick is to utilize WiFi as often as possible: I have a router at home and use the hotspots as I find them for the really big updates. But if you can find an unlimited plan, go for it.
You can control updates, basically only allowing apps to update when you want them to or update only when you’re on wifi. Obviously it will use up the same amount of data the update size is. But I wouldn’t regularly update over mobile data unless you’ve an unlimited plan, (although I’ve noticed unlimited plans seem to be vanishing in the UK not sure about US).
Surfing the web, checking emails and Facebook are minimal data. If this is all you want to do 1gb is enough.
But if you’re thinking of downloading a lot of YouTube videos and TV shows, you will need unlimited as these are data hogs, especially as many default to HD content without you realising.
Whatever you choose, the main thing to do is learn the settings on the phone to control your data, too many just let their smartphones do their own thing and get a shock when they hit their data quota too fast.
Thanks! But what about regular game play (when there isn’t an update)…how much of a data hog is that? (I would still expect to do most of my playing via Wi-Fi, but, if I were on vacation somewhere that wasn’t an option, or whatever, I’d still like to get a sense of how much data just playing the game takes…
I go into my Tapped out a few times a day when out & about just to reset tasks, fight battles and such and according to my data log Tapped Out used 8mb over the last 4 week period. If you update via wifi just playing Tapped Out is not a data hog like some other games, ie Family Guy Quest for Stuff has used over 100mb in the same period.

I have a 3gb plan through Verizon, but rarely go over 1gb. I do most of my updates over wi-fi at home, but every once in awhile I’ll do one at work so I can keep tapping during an event, and it’s never overly impactful. I am a frequent tapper, checking about once an hour, and the data usage for just regular use is next to nothing. So for Tapped Out at least, I don’t think you need much.

ever since i cut the cord on cell contracts over 4 years ago, i’ve been using tmobile’s $30 month prepaid plan (https://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/other-prepaid-plans). i’ve had zero complaints, as it has filled my needs and then some. the main features for me are unlimited texts and data. first 5gb are lte speed, then it gets reduced… but i’ve never surpassed 5gb of data in a month, and i almost always leave my phone’s wifi off. i’ve used it on many occasions as a hotspot for work, tethering it to my laptop free of charge. i use it for google maps, to surf the web, check email, read my twitter timeline, stream music, browse amazon and yelp reviews, and of course check on my town whenever i need to while i’m not at home (i have no qualms about doing in-game updates on my phone, but try usually try to wait til i’m on wifi before doing a massive app store update.. because you know, they are massive!). and though i don’t take advantage of it very often, i have the freedom to stream anything from netlix/youtube/amazon video/etc without wasting any of my lte data, thanks to tmobile’s Binge On service (http://www.t-mobile.com/offer/binge-on-streaming-video.html).
the $30 plan only comes with 100 minutes of talk time, but i never burn through that either because i’m always using google hangouts to make data calls instead. i used to avoid this a few years ago because the voip technology was still evolving, but it’s gotten so good now that people can’t tell whether i’m calling via data or with my actual voice plan.
i know you said you are on verizon, but you might wanna give this prepaid tmobile plan a try for a month or two. my wife and i both use it, and it’s worth way more than the $60 combined we pay monthly for it. of course, it’d be prudent to check tmobile coverage maps for wherever you live, as i don’t know if your area is as well covered as san diego/southern california is.

In terms of the game, I’ve had to use my mobile data a few times because of how I’m supposedly low on space and I can’t update the latest patch. My phone gets the 500mb size for the game (others get almost 1gb for their games), so that adds up quick. Just twice and I’m at 1gb data used. In a month all my data would be wiped out, but I do use Wi-Fi when I can, so not too big a problem. (Note: Not wiped out, just slowed down.)
So, to answer you question… (and everyone else’s answers are better)… I think you’ll be fine with at least a 2gb plan, as long as you’re not planning to live off of mobile data. Watch videos while you’re out (change the quality setting to a lower one to save more data) and to get the freak TSTO update will be fine, especially if you’re on an unlimited plan (unlimited data, not unlimited high-speed. if you find an unlimited high-speed, maybe I want that, so let me know 😉 ) the worst that happens is that it updates “slowly”. Otherwise, if you’re planning to live off the mobile, then get as high a plan as possible.
I have 8 gb for 3 smartphones with shared data. We have gone over once. I always get an email that lets me know when we get close and it doesn’t happen often. I only do updates when connected to wifi. I play TSTO a lot on my phone when out and it’s never my data that’s high. Watching videos without wifi will take a ton of data. My 14 year old doesn’t use too much data but, I think these days 14 year olds have an instant wifi sensor. They auto-ask “what’s your wifi password?” And when asked theirs, they have it memorized.
This made me smile, that’s exactly my young nieces and nephews, they exchange wifi passwords wherever they go, and their own is mesmerised like its gold dust. Even with holiday plans there first question isn’t where are we going but is there wifi.
It’s starting to sound like, as long add one stays away from videos and TSTO downloads, one shouldn’t need all that big of a data plan…
Take the smallest. See what happens. They will always let you upgrade.

200-300 Mb per new update is stated, but in reality they seem to be any where from 30-170Mb on average…
Regular tapping when I have no WiFi or when I’m monitoring, is around 12-18 Mb, but this seems to only be when it “Synchronizes”, and amounts to around 20-40 Mb in total through all neighbourino taps, 91 of those. Hope this gives a rough idea…
Thanks, Cube! But, to clarify… 12-18/20-40 Mb over what time period? Each time you go into tap? Per day? Per month? If it’s each visit to Springfield, I could see that adding up quickly over the course of a month (if I were out of wi-fi range a lot, which I guess I’m not…).
Happy Independence Day, to all the Americans! I had a wonderful day! I worked, then walked down Main Street with the parade. It was bittersweet because it’s the first 4th that my daughter did her own thing and didn’t worry about me. Also the people who’s house I always watched the parade at moved this year. So I just walked and talked to people I knew. I know too many people! I’m getting married in 13 days! I’ve been consumed with that, so, I don’t know if I will get the prizes for this issue, and probably no where close for issue 3.

I’m loving this event but it’s hindering my Rail Yard track prizes. Each week I’ve been shot about 8k for the 5 track pieces & 5 donuts. Too many people are in the superhero house. Hopefully I can get that last wing quick and get them back in the rail yard!
Switch your priorities around. During rail yard days, that’s what Lisa, Krusty, and CBC are working on…they don’t earn that much currency at the mansion anyway, and, if you’re playing regularly, the prize track is pretty easy to get ahead on without standing then there for those few days. (I usually finish my rail yard tasks by around Friday, give or take a day, so, from Saturday until Tuesday, I can then send them to the mansion.)
I haven’t missed a week of rail yard donuts yet, although it’s been tricky during some events (but not this one). Oh, and if you’re playing the “win to lose” method, you’re making about an extra 1,650 – 2,200 knuckles/Soilant Reds/whatevers a day anyway, which makes the missing 66-72 of them that you didn’t get because you prioritized the rail yard over the mansion serum fairly insignificant.
So I’ve mannaged to smash through this weeks Rail Yard with over 3 days remaining. It’s amazing how those couple of characters helped get supplies up once they were in full use. I’ve set myself up well for the next run at it with maximising the over flow that you can store.
I know, right? And I’m guessing you’ll still be totally fine on the event stuff, too. 🙂
Yeah I’m smashing the event stuff. Burnes other mansion has both wings so no need to send peeps there, got stretch dude about 3 days ago, just got my first round of bonuts (wont get a second unfortunatly) and about 4500 in tradng cards in holding for act 3.
I think it’l be fair to say this week will be a good week on the rail yard as well, well pend on whats required character wise.
My heights is moving forward as well at a decent rate, sitting at about $600mil. I’m not bothering spend $$ on the Googleplex for SH bits as I can’t justify the amount for return even though I have plenty of $$ saved up. It just seems a waste.
So bring on Act 3!!
Safi, whats you average daily log in amount on the game?
When I was working? About 15min at 7am, 25min at lunch noonish, and about 3 or 4 times in the evening for about 4 hours. Total maybe 5 hours a day gameplay.
These days whilst unemployed? I send characters on hourly tasks from noon until 4am, log in about 30 times every half hour. Total maybe 12 hours a day gameplay.
I fortunately play so much that I’ve never had an issue. I usually get my 5 donuts by Thursday afternoon and am restocked by Thursday evening or Friday morning. But I too had an easier time this week and got some favourable tasks and got my 5 donuts Wednesday evening and was restocked by Thursday morning. Love weeks like this.

Try turning in the middle blueprints or even the left (smallest) ones, too. It really helps. I pretty much don’t use large anymore during events. Hope that helps.

I guess I’ve been lucky…or tenacious…but so fat doing the rail yard hasn’t been much harder than usual. During this event I have gotten the bonus by Saturday. Of course, I do have the leisure to log in every hour to keep churning out metal, which seems to be what I always need. But, yeah, I can see the problems if you can’t let g in more than once every 5-6 hrs.
I can tell you the few characters in the Summer Mansion wouldn’t make much of a difference for me, and I like the Soilent Red those ‘toons are generating. Tough decision, and I feel for ya.

I guess one could say I’m a completionist. I don’t care about buildings but I like to have the whole character set. I bought all of the presidents on impulse, but there’s no Giuseppe!! Dang it. I shouldn’t have bought any. I love the park that came with Teddy though. It goes nicely with the tallest redwood tree and Springfield falls.

Is it worthwhile to get a second Zenith City building pack 1? I have over 4500 trading cards, with all items from Issue 2 purchased. The “1” designation makes me think there may be a “2” coming in the last issue, and I vaguely recall someone mentioning a crafable coming requiring 4K cards. 3 buildings for 960 cards is pretty sweet, though…..hmmmm…….
P.S. Thanks for prodding me into spending donuts on Rex Bannon. I tend to hoard, but his first quest with Flanders is a hoot.
Like you said, “3 buildings for 960 cards is pretty sweet”. I’ve bought two so far. Will probably buy a third after I get a second Wharf. But I am keeping 4k Trading Cards aside for Issue 3. So I’d say go for it once you have 4,960, so as to keep 4k stashed.

I got two sets, primarily because the penthouses look like they’ll match up with the purple buildings we got in the first superheroes event. But I think your logic makes sense…why call this set “1” if there isn’t going to at least be a “2”?
I wish I knew what was coming in Issue 3 for crafting, so I’d know how much to spend on Issue 2 items. I’d kinda like to get the pier, but I would be willing not to, if there were going to be more enticing things to spend my cards are in the next issue.
I might just have to go check one of those spoiler sites before this issue is over.
I got four sets of the buildings. Wish I could have chosen to only craft the purple ones, but I’m sure I’ll find some use for the others. Generic buildings are so great to have when you need to fill a little gap in town. (I’ve used all the store fronts I got last year for various shopping centers.) I’m not very interested in the other craftables this act, so I’m all about the buildings and saving for next act.
The second set will likely be the buildings from last year, like the store front and stuff. I would be surprised if those didn’t return.
Does anyone have an opinion about how many Zenith City Building pack 1 sets to craft? I’ve crafted 4 sets so far, but I could easily craft 5 more sets before act 2 is over. I see this craftable as the great prize of act 2- if not the whole event. Each building in each set nets $75 and 7 XP every few hours. It’s like getting free purple houses (as far as the benefits go). The only question for myself is: Where to put them all if I craft 9-10 sets?
Depends on how much space you have allocated for your Zenith City area. Like you said, they are a great value for three income-generating buildings. However, they won’t make much income if they’re sitting in your inventory.
I don’t see why they have to be relegated to a Zenith City area…I think I might start a new neighborhood with the new buildings (although I’d like to see how the penthouses look sticking up behind the proper buildings from last year).
Space isn’t an issue. I can buy more land if needed. Also- as Sandra pointed out- I don’t necessarily relegate event buildings to specific parts of my town. Sometimes I group them together, and sometimes not. In the case of the Zenith City buildings….these buildings are so generic looking, that they can easily be placed anywhere in town there is space.
I guess my biggest concern was in regards to the act three prizes. I have seen some (or all) of the items on other websites, and few of them look very exciting or useful. But I would save my trading cards for act 3 if there were craftable items that earned % (i.e., items similar to wailing walls or tennis courts).

I’m so bummed about the Gil deal disappearing. I spoke with someone at EA a few days ago and I was told they were aware and it should be resolved in the next couple days. They also said that with the Duff Gardens and it was never resolved so I’m not holding my breath for the Springfield National Park to come back. I really wanted it too. Oh well…

Actually DuffGardens did come back right at the end of the last event. At least for me it did. I snapped it up and actually regret spending the donuts on it. It really Is pretty boring. After you get a couple fish tank beer mugs and a couple dozen gnomes, it’s kind of meh….

Do you use angus reid, Safi? I just skimmed it but it sounds interesting. I use Google opinion rewards and think it’s great. Hardest part is waiting for the surveys because they’re so quick to complete. Highly recommend it if you’re on android.
Yeah, I’ve been mailed cheques of $50 CDN three times. Like Zoltrax said, sometimes you have to lie about your demographics in order to qualify for the survey.

Two things I’d love to see changed/added:
1. This is the more important one. Instead of a 24-hour timer for anything friend-related, how about changing it to a once-a-day timer that resets overnight? The way it is now, it’s a constant time-creep, and eventually you end up losing a day.
2. Instead of the event “licenses” where you get double the event resources for friend visits, how about some sort of radar that lets you find the tappables (in this event, criminals) that are hiding in your town? Or maybe both?
The latter has only become necessary with the “crab-criminals”, because they don’t seem to move at all, or if they do, it’s extremely slow.
Regarding #2: click on the move button. When the selection bar pops up on the right, tap on pretty much everything but people making the eye close (turn yellow). This makes everything in your transparent and makes the people and “tappables” easily stand out.
