Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well…1 week left in the Superhero Sequel Event and you know something big had to happen. After all it’s been a little TOO quite in Springfield the last few days.
Much like Superheroes 1…there’s a Boss Fight to be had in Springfield! The greatest threat Springfield has ever faced…threatening, yet delicious. Well for everyone except me…it’ll just put me in the hospital. What is it? What could it be? Find out more below…..
(Oh and for those of you having trouble getting Crab Juice for all the Act 3 prizes..this should help you TREMENDOUSLY!)
Homer gets this going for the Boss Fight…
PINCHY!!!!
Dr. Krab: Behold…Pinchy! Ze crustacean abomination!
Homer: Did you say Pinchy? Like MY Punchy?
Dr. Krab: Zhat’s right! I cloned your little pet by using the shell you tossed avay in the dumpster! Then enhanced it vith my own DNA so it answers to my commands! It is a… Crobster!
Fallout Boy: Crab, lobster…they’ve all got soft underbellies! Clownface, attack this thing from the inside of the factory, we’ll hit it from the outside.
That’s right a GIANT Pinchy has invaded the buildings for Springfield! And it’s your job to stop him! Of course you’ll earn loads of Crab Juice for the Issue 3 prizes as you go..
Use your Superhero (and Villain) characters to attack Pinchy and save Springfield from crustacean destruction! (and of course earn loads for Crab Juice in the process!)
Here’s a look at the questline/attacks you’ll need to follow in order to destroy Pinchy….

And you’re greeted with this at the conclusion…
Could this mean Superheroes 3?! Hey it’s worked for Spiderman, Batman, Superman, and basically every other Superhero movie…so why not?
What are your thoughts on the final battle with Pinchy? Enjoy the little questline? Like the idea of a great way to earn thousands more Crab Juice? How about the hint at a possible Superheroes 3? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

Just finished the Boss Battle, built the Dead Lobster (already unlocked Dr. Crab). Since I have the time before the Event ends, I’m sending Homer to Binge on Lobster Meat 10 times, instead of sending 10 different Springfielders in one hit. I feel like he’s entitled to it. It’s Mr. Pinchy.
No sign of a Mr. Pinchy character – NPC or otherwise.
I like how they featured the Dead Lobster restaurant in this event. There should be a Fast Food Boulevard Event in this game. Wouldn’t it be funny to have your very own “We Have Restrooms!” in your Springfield?
Looks like I’ve messed up somewhere or my game is broken. I don’t have this and after checking I’m also missing most of issue 2’s questline. I didn’t do the Stretch Dude quests, maybe that’s messed everything up, I’ve got Bart on it now and I’ll see what happens.
Well, I tapped every completed character in my town and the issue 2 storyline continued, I’m now on Claw & Order part 6. I guess I hadn’t finished a quest properly but it’s weird that it didn’t show in the task list. It’s going to take a few donuts to see if I can catch up.
Kind of hoping we get Giant Pinchy after this to battle King Homer!
Is anyone else having problems with pinchy? Sent 7 fighters to fight received credit for 3 then it went back to zero again. Spent ALOT of donuts to get to tap scene then same thing happen on second attack. Really mad about donuts, kinda mad i keep sending people to fight for 4 hrs. for nothing. Any help out there?
I am in the same boat as a lot of you. I have 6 villains and 6 heroes that can fight Pinchy. And it is driving me insane. To speed up the task it’s 6 donuts. So it takes me 8 hours to finish each ‘fight’ as oppose to 4.
I cannot figure out a work-around. I guess I should be happy that it says we have until the 29th to defeat Pinchy. It’s the event which ends earlier.
The villain jobs change and there’s nothing you can do about that, but the Heroes always have the same job – Attack Pinchy.
So once the villains attack, wait a few minutes, and then send the Heroes in. That way when the Hero-attack part of the quest triggers, you can get credit for the just-completed Hero attacks. That way it doesn’t take an 8-hour cycle to get the 7x attacks – just 4 hours plus a few minutes.
Also a good idea to make sure your Krusty Burger is far enough away from Pinchy so your tap radius won’t catch both.
Ok… brain dead here, just thought I was being soooo smart & not paying attention, & sent all my villains to start a fire already when I needed to send them to make mashed potatoes. Is there a quick fix to this, or am I just waiting until they’re done?
How do you unlock Mr Pinchy
you have to have finished the issue 3 questline

It looks like it will be a close call beating the boss for me. I am one villain and two heroes short so each part except the last take at least 16 hours for me. In reality it takes longer though since I sleep more than four hours each night. With only seven days to finish this I will probably finish in the last minute, if at all. If I had just one more villain I would have nearly one extra day to finish but unfortunately I don’t and I don’t have the donuts to get one either. Wish me luck.
Here’s how I would play a Part of the Boss Fight in your shoes (assuming you start play at 8am, but change it to any appropriate hour you play).
8:00am: Send 6 villains to task.
12:00noon: Collect 6 villains task.
12:01pm: Send 1 more villain (7th) to task.
[Wait 10 minutes or so]
12:10pm: Manually find your 5 heroes and send them on 4-hour Attack Pinchy task (scroll down their task options and it will be their last 4 hour task).
4:01pm (But no later than 4:09pm): Collect 7th villain task.
4:10pm: Collect 5 heroes task (only had to wait 9 minutes for this task – give yourself enough cushion that you don’t accidentally tap the heroes before the villains, or this won’t work).
4:11pm: Send 2 more heroes (6th and 7th) to task.
8:11pm: Collect 6th and 7th hero task.
You’ll save almost a full 4 hours, and not spent a donut in doing so.
Nice, I’ll try that for the next round, too late for round two unfortunately, but I think I’ll give myself a little bigger window than ten minutes since I tend to forget the time (another reason why I’m afraid of not finishing in time). I just realized I have six of each and it’s a bit annoying that if I had just had one more of either heroes or villains I’d be in a much better position.
In some of the future parts, your villains go to buildings other than the Soilent Red Factory. For instance, they go to Krusty Burger during one of the parts. If you see your villains are going elsewhere, you can send your heroes at the exact same time as the villains, as heroes always go to Soilent Red Factory. The only thing you have to be extremely careful about is that four hours later you tap the villains first and don’t accidentally tap the heroes. If you accidentally tap the heroes first (or at the same time due to IRS building causing the two to be in to close proximity to each other), you’ll have lost the advantage of sending the heroes early.
Than a lot for the advice, that will certainly make things easier 🙂
I tried this method for the third part and it worked like a charm although it was a good thing I gave myself a thirty minute window because otherwise I’d have missed 🙂
If you send your heroes a couple of minutes after you send your villains, you can get them to count as part of the next phase:
Hour zero: Send 6 villains
Hour four: Send 1 villain and five heroes two minutes later
Hour eight: Send two heroes and six villains five minutes later
That way you could get each phase done in 12 hours 🙂
I’ve read a a comment or two about whether this means we might get Pinchy as a character (NPC or otherwise) but people saying no, because he dies in the end.
But…there’s no reason why Dr. Krab couldn’t have cloned another Pinchy (regular-sized) that we don’t yet know about.
I’m hoping, anyway.
I’m eagerly awaiting the same.
Also means I’ll have to update the Bracket Battle if it happens. Sir Oinks-A-Lot vs Maurice this week if we get Pinchy before noon Thursday. Or Laddie vs Maurice if Pinchy wins this week and is introduced into our games next week.
Did you know that when the heroes attack you can still also send villains to attack and earn extra event currency. The job takes 4 hours just like the mansion job, but you earn more currency.
So actually it is best to not send 7 villains or heroes at once. It is best to send 6 and after that send all you have. And when the game asks for heroes, Always send all your villains to attack too. (and when villains need to attack, also send all you heroes to attack). This way you will get the most event currency from your superheroes.
how does this start? Is it an update or do I have to complete a current quest?
It starts after you complete all of Issue 1, 2, and 3
Mine started & have yet to complete stage 3.
Sorry I thought you meant the whole of part 3, now realise it was just the tasks.
which tasks? the ones dealing with the heroes? I was saving those until after the event so that I could even finish stage 3, but ok. Only need about 16,000 more crab juices so I’ll take the chance. Does this mean Pinchy Boss Battle has to be completed before the event ends in order to get the prize? Is 4 days enough to do everything? Thanks.
😊😊😊😊
Thank you Alissa for this quick update 🙂
No thanks EA for dumping this on Tappers (and barely giving us a Week to complete it)!
The ONLY benefit I see is maybe earning more cans of soylent red to get thru the Event before time runs out (last Saturday’s network issue from EA / Origin did not help, in fact? I lose more neighboreenos due to EA’s ignorance in this year than any year!)
But that’s a huge benefit, especially given the exorbitant number of cans it pays out! What’s the downside that has you so negative about it?
Mmmm… Premium currency.
After unlocking Dr. Crab Sunday morning, I only got one set of bonuts by the time the new Boss Fight started. But since 3am EDT I have gotten my second and third sets of bonuts and should be getting my fourth set within the hour as soon as I finish Part 4 of this Boss Fight in about 40min. I wish the Boss Fights were more than 6 parts.
After 8 rounds of bonuts (22 bonuts) in Issue 1 and 9 rounds in Issue 2 (27 donuts), I am now hopeful I’ll hit double digits this Issue and get over 30 bonuts. Nearly 100 donuts from an event, a freemium players dream come true! Thank you EA!
Freemium player ? Pull the other one.
I don’t know what “Pull the other one.” means.
Yes, freemium, in that I’ve never spent a dollar I’ve ever earned or cash I’ve received on this game.
I won a $10 gift card from Alissa, Bunny, and Wookiee for winning the 2014 Valentine’s Day Contest. I used that to purchase 3 scratchers (and Ellen’s Heads Up!). And then after a couple years of not purchasing a single premium item, I purchased a Boatload of Donuts using only a couple iTunes gift cards I received for my 30th birthday.
I’ve purchased premium characters with those donuts and all the donuts I have earned playing the game, from level ups, bonuts, rewards, every weeks Monorail, Sideshow You, Finding Maggie, etc. But as I was recently informed, purchasing those characters doesn’t make me a premium player; but the fact that I’ve never spent a cent of my own on the game makes me a freemium player.
Ok, fair comment, I see where you are coming from. let’s just say your were a freemium/ premium player, with the emphasis on freemium.
By the way I admire your strategies for collecting donuts. Should have been running for the presidency or we have loads of vacancies over here 😊 ( UK ).No wait you have a brain ! no chance.
(I think the OP was implying that you were pulling his/her (sorry, don’t remember who the OP was) leg with what you were saying and was sarcastically inviting you to pull his/her other leg.)
I’m not sure that just using gift cards qualifies you to stay at full “freemium player” status. I think you are, like I am, a “mostly freemium player.” I say that because, although you kind of didn’t spend any of your own money to buy donuts, you kinda did, since there was an “opportunity cost” in spending those gift cards to buy donuts, when you could also have used them to buy something else that you might ultimately spend money to get, instead.
I gotta admit, though, I feel less “premium” when I use earned iTunes credits (from QuickThoughts) to buy donuts than when I use earned or gifted Amazon credit to do that, since I almost never buy anything from iTunes anyway, but Amazon credit can be spent on a zillion different things, and I probably make a purchase from Amazon at least once a month. (I almost wish it were the other way around, though, since buying donuts from Amazon is a WAY better deal than getting them through iTunes.)
I agree. That was my argument too. For the longest time I was pure freemium. But then since Black Friday, you may have noticed here I used to call myself a “very selective premium” player for the past 6+ months. It’s only been the past month I switched back to calling myself “freemium” after a lengthy debate with some real life fellow tappers.
I play very often and havent gotten that amount of donuts. Weird
What’s your Felon Battle record? How many Felon Battle losses do you have?
I’m 480-2,712-7 in Felon Battles, plus 108-0-0 in Social Battles. I’ve accumulated over 2,700 losses, which comes out to roughly an extra 150,000 event currency (which in itself is equivalent to 12.5 to 15 rounds of bonuts).
How do you get so many bonuts? Im lucky if I am able to get 1 round of bonuts after each issue and I play all the time. Thanks for your help 🙂
I use the lose-to-win strategy and use it twice as often as everyone as I have almost all my characters at 2 hearts. I’ve accumulated over 2,700 losses, which comes out to roughly an extra 150,000 event currency (which in itself is equivalent to 12 to 15 rounds of bonuts).
Just curious… With almost all of your fighters at just two hearts, what kind of felons are you getting to fight against? I had to upgrade at least one fighter at one point (after getting one of the new 3-heart fighters), because none of the gangs I was getting had any 5-heart felons anymore.
I’ve only gotten teams of three 5-heart felons since the end of the first week of Issue 1, when I finally got my third 5-heart character. I still only have one of each (Brawn/Brain/Tech) at 5-hearts. The rest are all at whatever heart level they start with. I still have that Training Day quest to upgrade felons, as I’ve only done 7 upgrades to date. Probably why I have over 50,000 Finite Gems.
I don’t understand, does loosing a battle win you more currency?
Yes, in the long run it does. Check out the Advanced Strategy section of the Battle Strategy post from Issue 1.
https://tstoaddicts.com/2016/06/17/superheroes-sequel-101-issue-1-battle-strategy/
yeah 5 Villians and 6 heroes, so i have to be 4 times online a day to nearly get this done… not really nice, its EA’s way to get us buy donuts…
Thanks Alissa. You got this up pretty quick considering all that’s going on on your end. Great job.
This quest line is awesome. 21K cans! Cha-Ching!! Hopefully this will allow more people to get all the prizes.
https://imgur.com/a/QavjE
EA, you clever clever -negative word- I only have 6 heros so I’m feeling like I need to buy one more (But I really don’t want to), I’m wondering if I’ll be able to beat the giant Pinchy in time otherwise. (An extra 4 hours every day… Smeesh) :/
Kinda wish we can change the skins afterwards, or even better the Happy Cartoon version appears at the end (The way Homer visualized it Vs. the way Marge visualized it)…. Or a little Pinchy of our own.
I think I’d rather have the Radioactive Man Statue/monument come alive again for battle.. Meh.
I have six too. I just rush through one for a few donuts and restart them to get the 7 needed. I think it will be cheaper overall than buying a character that is going into storage after the event.
I have 7 heroes, but only 6 villains. I bought bartman and plopper just during this event, too, or I’d only have had 5 heroes! It’s surprising how behind I’ve been, just because I didn’t get a few characters in the last superhero event.
I’m in the same boat, only 6 heroes, but I figured out a way to “speed” things along. I have 7 villians, so after I sent my heroes for the second time, I wait a few minutes and then send all my villians to attack Pinchy. When I tap out my heroes for the second time, hit Pinchy 10X, it then triggers the next part for the task for the villians to attack which at that point they are only a couple of minutes away from being tapped out. You can then send your heroes on their attack task. I’m only on part two, so I’m not sure if this strategy will work beyond Part 2 of the questline for the villian part. But after you send your Villians on their task, wait a few minutes and then send your Heroes on their attack task. Once your villians are done (if you have 7) then the next part of the heroes portion is only a few minutes away and you can send them again after being tapped out. The heroes will always have the attack task where the villians task seems to change with each part.
Yes, I can can confirm the overlapping worked in Parts 2, 3, and 4; and currently appears to be working fine for me in Part 5. Turned an 8 hour task into a 4 hours and 10 minutes task.
Well, you can make up *some* time by sending the villains to attack Pinchy shortly after you send a hero into do the 7th fighting slot, so that, right after the last hero thing is done, you can collect on the next round, too!
I really like Pinchy and I was devastated by his demise in the hands of Homer. Not sure to laugh or cry, but I was upset by that episode.
It’s a cartoon.
Haha . Yeah but I drop a tear at times even when watching Simpson.
I actually feel for you. I love pinchy and if Homer’s ending dialogue wasn’t so hilarious and I wasn’t with my dad watching it (when he laughs, it makes me laugh harder and vice versa), I’d be in the same boat. But then again, I’m a total sap and a serial cartoon crier. Sad stuff in general turns on the waterworks but throw in animation and woah boy…..Bleeding Gums Murphy anyone? A certain scene from a certain Groening show involving a dog also comes to mind.
Thanks for understanding me. Haha
Actually for hero fights you can also send Stretch Dude, useful if you don’t have Bartman. I so happens that I have 7 heroes and 7 villains 🙂
Homer is free, and it’s not starting for me. Is there an update to download?
Did you finish the Issue 3 questline?
Dang… Bought the Scout Master and wanted to buy Fruitbat Man, but was short 20 donuts, so clicked to buy him to prompt donut purchase…. BUT…. Donuts aren’t showing up in my shop. Just green money. Even tried going straight in from the shop icon and tapping the money/donut icon…. and STILL only green money shows up as well as STUFF I can buy with donuts… but no option to buy actual donuts in which to buy said stuff. *Sigh* Anyone else have this problem?
I think he’s the last thing I need to buy. (Although I also just missed getting Stretch Dude in series 2 due to real life. Daaaaang that real life!
restart your device. It is confused about where you are in the world usually fixes mine.
Thanx Robyn. That worked! ^_^
It’s all a bit repetitive, isn’t it? I’ve been playing this game long enough though, I really shouldn’t be surprised
so this is how we earn enough currency to complete the event very nice.
If you have last year’s villains, you can use them instead of your can producing characters.
When I complete part 1 in another hour I’ll have enough crab juice for Dr Crab. Actually I’ll have a few hundred more than I need, which will most likely be worthless (which is ok). Something to remember if you’re in bonut time, the currency usually doesn’t carry over so if you’re close, you might not want to finish part of this and earn 4,000 crab juice when you only need a few hundred, or however much.
Oh, Alissa….do I take it, then, that you’re allergic to lobster? That’s such a shame if you are! But, if you’re just allergic to crab, that’s less of a tragedy, IMHO…. 😉
Lobster and Crab…shellfish in general. Doesn’t really phase me as I’m not a big fish eater anyway. Actually…i don’t eat fish at all. So yea, no real impact lol
If you’re allergic to shellfish then you’re almost certainly allergic to iodine?
Yes and no. The injections i receive in my neck have no impact on me, and they contain iodine. But give me a lobster and a crab…just have me touch it and i’ll break out in a horrible rash. I’ve never actually tried it, so I don’t know what eating it will do to me. But the allergist says I’m allergic so I don’t really wanna try and find out lol
The correlation between shellfish allergy and potential iodine contrast allergy was disproven ages ago! I am a radiographer and have to explain this all the time still. Studies have shown that those allergic to shellfish are likely reacting to the protein of the shellfish, not the iodine they absorb from the sea. We routinely give contrast to folks with shellfish with no problems whatsoever.
So glad it’s not an impact for you Alissa! I don’t eat fish, but not because I’m allergic. Just don’t like it… but LOVE crab, shrimp and lobster! My oldest niece is allergic to shellfish also, but she loves it, so it is a tragedy for her. Her sisters and I have crab night once a year when the middle child flies home to Hawaii to visit. Last year, we felt real bad when we had a family gathering a week later and we were talking about crab night and the allergic niece got so upset when she heard about it. We didn’t realize it would heart her so to hear about it. We felt terrible.
That stinks. Yea no impact for me at all. I just get annoyed when people sitting next to me order it at dinner…
I don’t blame you! My aunt’s niece on her husband’s side is dangerously allergic to peanuts. All she has to do is walk into a room that peanuts had been unshelled in, and she has a terrible reaction. Usually has emergency meds on her, but there was amore than a few times they had to ambulance her to h ER.
My nephew is allergic to peanuts. But luckily he has to ingest them to cause a reaction. That’s not a fun allergy
LOL – I’m trying to imagine what a “fun” allergy is! 😉 😉
lobster isn’t so bad…it’s not fun, but it is FUNNY when you tell people you’re allergic and they completely change what they’re ordering. It’s also fun when I go to weddings that are surf and turf. My husband and I usually end up with 2 steaks (he’s not allergic but he doesn’t like it. And he wouldn’t get it anyway to avoid it possibling getting to me) 🙂 Can’t beat 2 steaks lol
I rarely eat lobster. I think I can count with less than one hand the number of times I tried lobster. Maybe once or twice. It is exorbitant.
And you know that entomologically speaking, the nearest insect relative to the lobster is the COCKROACH! Sooooooooooo glad that I too am allergic to shellfish.
Hmm lobster does look scary. Japan ultraman battled a lobster monster before.
Depends where you live…fortunately, living in New England, the supermarkets sometimes have it on sale for $5.99 (or less!) a pound, especially during the summer. Granted, lobster doesn’t yield much meat per pound, although the ratio gets better with larger lobsters.
Dang – now I really want some lobster!!!
Yes,we need to import our lobster. Possibly flown here by air.
Flying Lobsters? Ahhhhhhhhhhh!
Helen Lovejoy: “Ohhh, won’t somebody please think of the children!”
Since I’m finished I still have the option to get as many Dead Lobster buildings as I want. , for free! Pretty fun glitch.
How do you get additional dead lobster restaurants?
I have never been happier to see a giant crab in my Springfield! I started off Act 3 a couple days ahead but then had some stuff came up and now I’m behind on the calendar. 🙁 I was worried about finishing the prize track but now I feel a huge sense of relief. I skipped the first Superhero event so I had no idea that this could be coming. Whew!!
