Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Just a reminder that The Superheroes Sequel Event Ends TOMORROW July 26th at 0700 GMT (3am ET).
BUT just because the timer is running out doesn’t mean the Event will immediately leave your Springfield. It will take an App Store Update to remove the Event from our towns. And it’s likely that update won’t hit until later in the day on Tuesday.
However, as we’ve been seeing with the last few events, it’s entirely possible that once the timer runs out you’ll most likely no longer be able to earn Issue 3 Prizes or Craft Issue 3 items for free. So to be safe, get everything you can before it’s gone!
Also, the premium items WILL be leaving the stores when the timer runs out. Those are on a specific timer and will leave the store when their timer runs down. So if there’s a premium item you want grab it before it’s gone.
As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event…
Well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…
- Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 3 Issues.
- However, the questlines linked directly the the prizes you’ve won (or character you purchased) will remain. (so Dr. Crab, Super Maggie etc)
- The event removal will require an app store update to fully remove it from your game. So don’t panic when the timer runs down and the event isn’t out of your game… It will require an app store update to remove everything. Usually those hit around 12-2pm (EDT)
I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so… just know that ANY time after the 26th is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.
I would however caution you…that when Wild West ended (i.e. the timer ran out), remember you could no longer collect event currency to earn the prizes for free.
So tap those last few criminals and relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.
Remember the items with timers on them will also leave our stores…so if there’s a character or item you’re thinking about buying…do it today before it’s gone!
And that’s it! Nothing to do now but sit back, relax and wait for the next big thing…
What were your overall thoughts on the Superhero Sequel? Happy to see it go? Ready for what’s next? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
At the end of the event, you had the option of buying the bad guys (only as an animation in front of Orphan Alley). I bought them, but they’ve since disappeared and EA can’t get them back. Anyone else have a problem with them?
I turned off auto update and went to sleep at 1 a.m. CST with a Springfield empty of criminals, 76 social battles, and short ~150 crab juice for Dr. Crab. Thank you TSTO creators for not cutting everything off at 3 a.m.! I got Dr. Crab and the Studio this morning.
Event was long, but the issue quest lines felt too short. I agree, I would have liked to have the same set of craftables available throughout. Or make it cumulative. Release four craftables in Issue 1, release four more in Issue 2, then Big Finish in Issue 3. All the while not removing previously available craftables from the ‘store’. I definitely would have crafted a few more sets of the new Zenith City buildings.
Totally spaced out on the social prizes for the majority of the event, and by the time I realized that you were limited to only one social battle a day, I knew I wouldn’t finish the track. Would have been nice if the social battle timer was only 8 or 12 hours, instead of 24. Or the last three to five days could have been free-for-all mode; engage as many social battles as you want and have time for to make a run at the prizes, or bonuts as applicable. I just unlocked the Pie Man Statue last night, so clearly there’s no chance of anything further.
Overall a generally fun event, but also kind of glad it’s over and I can return to checking in only once a day instead of four to five in order to reset character missions for event currency.
