Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Just a reminder that The Superheroes Sequel Event Ends TOMORROW July 26th at 0700 GMT (3am ET).
BUT just because the timer is running out doesn’t mean the Event will immediately leave your Springfield. It will take an App Store Update to remove the Event from our towns. And it’s likely that update won’t hit until later in the day on Tuesday.
However, as we’ve been seeing with the last few events, it’s entirely possible that once the timer runs out you’ll most likely no longer be able to earn Issue 3 Prizes or Craft Issue 3 items for free. So to be safe, get everything you can before it’s gone!
Also, the premium items WILL be leaving the stores when the timer runs out. Those are on a specific timer and will leave the store when their timer runs down. So if there’s a premium item you want grab it before it’s gone.
As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event…
Well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…
- Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 3 Issues.
- However, the questlines linked directly the the prizes you’ve won (or character you purchased) will remain. (so Dr. Crab, Super Maggie etc)
- The event removal will require an app store update to fully remove it from your game. So don’t panic when the timer runs down and the event isn’t out of your game… It will require an app store update to remove everything. Usually those hit around 12-2pm (EDT)
I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so… just know that ANY time after the 26th is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.
I would however caution you…that when Wild West ended (i.e. the timer ran out), remember you could no longer collect event currency to earn the prizes for free.
So tap those last few criminals and relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.
Remember the items with timers on them will also leave our stores…so if there’s a character or item you’re thinking about buying…do it today before it’s gone!
And that’s it! Nothing to do now but sit back, relax and wait for the next big thing…
What were your overall thoughts on the Superhero Sequel? Happy to see it go? Ready for what’s next? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

Got the 77th donut this morning– it still can be done people– so happy right now
I didn’t have any time to spare this time due to a little app called Pokemon go which launched in the final week of the event, but I still managed to get all the prizes, so that’s good.
Still sort of regret saving up all of those trading cards after reading the comments here instead of just spending them during phase 2 though, the crafting prizes were nice but I easily crafted anything I liked anyway.
Ahh well, it was a good event, the battles were a bit boring at a point (against felons and not being able to help your neighbours) but I was able to get it all so I cant complain. Really liked the prize bracket for issue 3!
Thanks for the amount of posts/articles to keep us from freaking out over stuff! Keep it up!
Any clues what will be there next?
Logged on to my game after the official end, and pretty much everything is still there – felons, crafting, social battles, bonuts… Only thing gone is the Gil deal.
I’d love some more land before the next gap so I can plan and move things around. Especially a top row.
I’d like it if they’d give us an extra column (row?) of ocean. Between the giant SH ships and the islands, not to mention the dueling boardwalks, it’s really tight for space.
Yeah or 2 rows, I want to go deeper into the ocean! Also, more boardwalk tiles please!
This has been a bit of a tough one for me and not quite as engaging as previous events. Losing a couple of days in the middle had a real impact but I’ve actually got the final main prize with five minutes to go. Gave up on the social prize but not going to lose sleep over it!
Now for some free time hopefully to do a tidy up…
For what it’s worth, I enjoyed it, but not as much as the original Superheroes event. I felt issue 3 ran out of steam too early, and as much as I liked the simplified crafting, making items restricted to each issue was a bad idea. I still have 4000 trading cards, but I don’t want to craft any more returning Zenith City buildings as they take up a considerable amount of space. I wouldn’t have minded crafting one more set of the new buildings as they use up less space in comparison. I ended up spending like 8000 trading cards mostly on crafting garbage cans and mailboxes, as they can be distributed around my Springfield easily enough. And a couple of atom bombs and painted horses here and there. Wish I could’ve crafted more snake trees though.
Still, the prize track was pretty good, quests don’t many characters from the rail yard tasks, and I racked up quite a lot of bonuts, so all in all I had a good run. I’m going to miss those tiptoeing crooks when the event end, but I’m also glad to see it end, as it’s been a little too long.
I thought they pitched the event a little too hard. I had to use donuts to get all of the Act I crafting items, and I wouldn’t have gotten Dr. Crab without adopting the “lose” strategy (thanks for that, btw). I like to use my donuts to buy premium items, not to get “premium disguised as freemium” items. (I guess what I’m saying is, I hope this game doesn’t become like a certain other game I used to play.)
That aside, I liked the event overall. I’m glad they made the social battle prizes easier. I liked the new items and characters that were added. I liked the felon battles, too, until I got tired of them. I love that they brought back the criminals dressed in black. I think the animation used in act 1 is one of my favorites from this game.
I didn’t have any trouble earning everything…
Thank god this event is over. I hate events like these that make me have to ritually log on every 4 hours which slowly take the fun out of this game.
Much prefer the chilli event, space coyote is better then any of the prizes in this event!
So happy to see the backside of this event! I’m amazed that I got all the prizes sans Bonuts! If they do a third superhero event,I don’t think I’ll play it,just like my daughter did with this event! It really was overdrawn and overbearing imho. lol Cheers😊
Will the social battle prizes be available for donuts? I couldn’t get them all. Thanks, Christy

As of right now no but we hope they might be.
I still need 3000 crab juice amd theres only 3 hrs left. Im not gonna make it 🙁
I wish the would bring back act 2 crafting for the end, i would like more billboards and the 1st building pack. Didnt get a chance to craft as many as i wanted.
Will someone please help i lost a Springfield it went back to level 5 and no matter what i do i can not get it back. Please i never ask much try not to bother you but please help
Try hard closing and restarting TSTO. If that doesn’t work try an uninstall, restart your device and then reinstall. If that still doesn’t work contact EA. As long as you have an EA/Origin account your game isn’t lost.
Glad it’s over. My new City Buildings farm looks nice. 30 useless buildings clumped together earning me cash.
Doesn’t sound very useless to me.
I’m confused about which side you actually fall. Does it look nice?
I’m a massive fan of tsto events but can’t stand this type. Very much looking forward to seeing it go, so I can get back to my Springfield after not touching it during this event.
Well, I’m done! Got one last round of bonuts today (and killed off all remaining felons), spent down just about all my trading cards, and even finished all of the event-related questlines, except what I think is King Coal’s last task in his questline.
I upgraded most of my fighters, but not all of them. I was in the process of upgrading all of them when I realized that, if they were going to have to battle next time, I wouldn’t want them all to be upgraded, in case the win-to-lose strategy is viable again. I’m only sorry that I upgraded at least two of the only three 2-heart characters I had.
Oh, and I finally figured out something those tiny mailboxes are good for…they look like commercial garbage cans (like the kind outside a fast-food restaurant). I put one next to one of my chili booths and it fit right in!
All in all, an enjoyable event! 🙂
EA needs to wait at least 2 weeks before dropping another “log in every 4 hours” event. I noticed a LOT of neighbors giving up or getting burned out over the last 45 days….
Hoping they’ll notice the drop in participation and give us a much needed break…. Seems like we’ve had a “BOMBARDMENT!!” of events in recent times.
Bombardment…of Bible questions?
Anyways, I had some thoughts like that, about EA spacing out events. Check my name=link or just know that I agree. 🙂
When I first saw the duration of this event I worded my friend up as she has a small attention span yet wants to get everything. I have never disliked an event as I think they are all very much the same just rehashed into their own themes, thought the only thing that does have me lose a little intrest is the lengths. I feel 30 days is enough time for a major event as mini events only generally last 2 weeks. We dont need 7+ prizes for each act or 25+ crafatbles over the whole event. It can be trimmed down to maybe 3-4 fir the prize act and 5 craftables, BUT, in saying all of this not everyone will EVER be happy with the events.
EA does a good job I think in providing us a fun game that a fair few of us have been playing for many years and I look forward to seeing whats ahead.
The bombardment of events is because mini events (like the chilli event) are effectively replacing level updates. We are generally getting a major event, a week off, a minor event, a week off, another major event etc. What would normally be a 3-4 week break is now two one week rests either side of a mini event
Thank goodness. I’m not a prepubescent male, so this super hero update was very disappointing and way too long.
I’m a post-menopausal woman, and I enjoyed it quite a bit!
I wish people here would refrain from perpetuating stereotypes…girls and boys, men and women, should not feel like they are “weird” if they don’t fit into the neat little boxes that stereotyping creates. Interestingly, though, so far, on this site, it’s only women that I see doing that….and, if it were the other way around, with men making stereotyping comments about women, I suspect I wouldn’t be the only one complaining.
Preach it!
It’s much harder for men. That’s what she said. 😉
😂
Something to do with the stereotype that only boys like comic books? I used to be one of those….but I never really liked comic books. I had about a couple of them… never was very interested. Never got more. I do like movies and other visually moving media (this game, for example), even if the theme is comic book related. One of my favorite movies is Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. It hits you on the head as being comic book style (but also video game style) and I still love it! *shrug*
But as my gf says “was very disappointing and way too long”… wait, no that was you. Kidding! 😀
Just so you know, not only are superhero fans “prepubescent males” (I’m a 22-year-old woman and am a superhero fan), but they also are disappointed by this event and thought it went on too long.
Just finished prize track and quest lines but have one more friend battle to unlock studio ( my battles reset at 3 pm). My question is, will friend battles carry until the force update or could i buy it with donuts? I appreciate any answers!!
You can’t purchase them with donuts, unfortunately. Not sure if it’ll carry over, but since you can’t purchase them with donuts you have nothing to lose trying.
Thanks so much!!!!!
For those worried about needing one more day, with the western event despite stating that the prize was no longer available, the donut amount continue to go down and eventually I was able to collect the last prize by continuing to collect event currency.
So unless EA fixed it, I would keep collecting currency in hopes of finishing the last event prizes.
Fun event but too long. We need a break before the next big event to clean up our towns. I usually earn/buy as much as I can, lay things out once the dust has settled and I know how much land I need.
I liked this event, but it’s not my favorite. I never got the last prizes in all the acts. This was the most difficult event ever… And I played several times a day. I have played this game since 2013, and I have only missed one event, and that was the first superhero event 🙁
And what about all the gems?? Too much gems..
Any thoughts (even moderately informed speculation helps) on whether the Pinchy Boss Battle timer will automatically stop at 3 a.m. EDT?
It seems like they’re labeling it a bit differently (without the countdown). I’ll be a bit late (due to a vacation and the lack of 7 villains) unless I spend donuts to rush the villains and then piggyback the heroes. I don’t think spending 12 or 18 donuts (depending on how much I sleep!) is that unreasonable to earn Dead Lobster, I’d rather avoid it if it looks like I can stretch out the Boss Battle after 3 a.m. by not updating.
Almost gave up the game with this event. Too long, too repetitive. Also the end of levels has made it easier to skip events. I guess I’m maxed out or burnt out.
How is the end of levels related to making it easier to skip events?
The best items/characters of this event were the returning ones for donuts. If a next issue 3 were to come, I would think most new player’s donuts would go toward those issue 1 items rather than this issue 2.
Although new character Maggie got a very cool skin, a highlight of this event.
Something that I would like after this event – a decent amount of time (say all of August) so that I can redesign my town – it’s a mess, thanks to EA deciding what we want is event/mini event followed by the same, over and over.
I loved the event overall sometimes felt like been around for ever but has been fun 😊 got Dr crab in time for 3 rounds of bonuts and half way to a 4th so maybe will just get it 😀 losing fights on purpose helped alot.
Premium items I brought were Wind Lad and Solar Citizen for 130 and Plopper for 100 then ran out of donuts but happy with them. Got Wind and Solar first week so helped so much gettin double everything and like all the animations 😊😊
Need some time and money now to expand and rearrange 😊
The previous issues I made it to the Bonuts really, really easily, but for the third issue I’m just now at the start of Dr Crab’s earning path (after Lennys Lab). My daughter being born 2 weeks ago delayed quite a bit of course, but even still it seemed like the previous issues were very easy to nab the final prize. Eh, don’t really think Dr Crab is that cool anyways, wish I would’ve been around for the first superhereos event, radioactive man and bartman would have been cool to have instead (but as a freemium I’m not going to waste donuts on them).
Overall the event was decent, don’t personally care for the unique characters, but man it sure seemed to be a long, long drag of an event, maybe its all the battles and the twenty different things you have to keep track of, but it also just seemed really long.
New daughter…waaaay better than Dr. Crab. Congratulations!
I did like this event but I wasn’t around for the first- I liked that majority of the premium characters are voiced which doesn’t happen a ton. However, a lot of the buildings have been hard for me to maneuver or awkwardly shaped. Like Soilent red, dr Lenny’s lab, and I like the movie studio and it works in my Springfield but still awkwardly shaped
I managed to get one round of bonuts from the final part, it definitely seemed more difficult to earn currency for Issue 3. The big boss battle was a big help in getting to the end in time. The boss battle also made a nice change from what had been the normal ways of earning event currency during this event.
I was a bit disappointed with the ‘social’ battles, didn’t really seem to have a social element to it as they didn’t help your neighbours in any way. The battles might as well have taken place in Other Springfield.
I did think the storyline worked well and it didn’t feel like it was over within 2 minutes of starting the issue. I liked most of the prizes and there were a lot of good items to craft. In the end Milhouse’s trailer is the only premium item I bought, I was very tempted by the Gil Deal but it’s just too big.
I agree I especially like the social aspect where we can help our neighbors. I normally spend the last day or two looking through my friend list for those that are close and help them over the top.
I unlocked Dr Crab about 15 mins ago. Actually really glad to see this event go. It’s been a real slog for me to get all the prizes, not helped by my teaching workload over the last month or so.
I didn’t get a single bonut either- not that I’m too upset by that as at least I have managed to get all of the prizes.
