It has been a while since I have been around the TSTO site. For that I am truly sorry. Life happened, I had to step away, but thank you for your support!. 🙂
Many times while I was away, my thoughts were of YOU ALL!! How much I missed yah terribly! The amazing community that has gathered around our silly lil blog and supported us now for 3 years!! Knowing my silly personality, and impossibility to take things seriously, I came up with an idea. I ran it by Alissa and she did her usual “I am shaking my head at you through the phone right now”, but I thought this would be PERFECT!! Joe just laughed at me as usual, silly Fuzzball. So… here goes nothing!! Wish me luck!!
DONUT GIVEAWAY??!!
Ever have the notifications on your TSTO game enabled and have your sound turned WAY up? You get to hear those “wonderful words” Homer tends to yell at you at the most AWKWARD times. Like in the middle of a meeting. Or just as your Boss walks in. Or just as there’s a good quiet part in the middle of a Movie. Or when the Doctor JUST walks in you room as you sit there in that cute lil “Medical Gown”. Or… well you get the idea. Hence the Giveaway idea spawned.

What better kind of pants for a TSTO Fan? Well what is the ONE thing you all wish you had more of? The one thing Homer desperately wants daily, multiple times daily? The thing I wish I could just eat them all? That sweet sweet sugary substance that we want to just shove into our face holes? DONUTS OF COURSE!!!
My Mission was set. I MUST acquire said “Donut Pants” for a Giveaway for our Readers… and to my amusement… I found some. A clothing line called LuLaRoe had just the thing. After “stalking” many many many MANY Consultants to get my hands on a few pairs for the site and was successful.
What does this all mean for YOU? Well… you all need Pants just in case there are Visitors… so we are going to give away DONUT LEGGINGS!! WOOHOO!!!
That’s right, some lucky Winner is gonna be able to sport their obsession in soft stretchy comfy sweet sprinkly goodness. MMMMMMMMmmmmmmm Donuts.

Now it was HARD to get my hands on these Donut Leggings, harder than I thought it would be (there are a TON of Donut/Simpson Fans out there, who’d have thought), so I was limited on the colors and size but I figured these should at least fit most average people out there.
Tall & Curvy is the size name of the Leggings. According to LuLaRoe Specs… “fits sizes 12-24 pant size”.
I was able to get a Brand Spanking New pair in the Pink Background Colorway (mine shown in Image below)…
As well as a Brand Spanking New pair the Black Background Colorway (mine shown in Image below)…

Now before some of you procrastinate “Leggings???!! WORST. PRIZE. EVER. Meh!” I did think of something else instead too. Duh, of course! 😛
We are going to offer the “Shirt Off Our Backs”… well, out of the Addicts HQ Closets, new, never worn… instead. So for those of you that already have your pants of choice, don’t care for Donut Leggings, we will have our fabulously AWESOME Addicts Graphic T-Shirts instead of the Leggings that you can select for the Winning Prize if you are chosen. YAYYYY!!! CLOTHES FOR THE ADDICTS FROM THE ADDICTS!!
HOW DOES THE GIVEAWAY WORK?
Staring August 14th, 2016… an image (Donut in a way) will be placed into a random post, one image each day, for a week (7 days total). We will not tell you which one, what time, etc. It will be up to YOU to find the Donut Image. Now right along with the Donut will be a word or words. Take down notes of the Word(s).
Here is a Sample of what you MIGHT see.
From 8/14/2016 to 8/20/2016, the random image with the Word(s) will appear. The last one being on August 20th! (THE BESTEST DAY EVER!!!)
The following week, a “Giveaway Submission Form” Post will go live on the site (just keep an eye out for it) for you to submit the Word(s) you found in the posts during the previous week.
The Giveaway will then close on August 27th, 2016 at 11:59pm Eastern
We’ll use random.org to pick the Winner(s) who entered the Word(s) correctly in the Giveaway Submission Form.
WHO CAN ENTER?
Unfortunately, due to SEVERAL issues we continually are encountering shipping packages outside the USA (We have had more packages returned and/or held at Customs than we’d like)… we are going to have to keep this Giveaway open to ONLY USA READERS. Sorry 🙁
If there was an alternate way around it, We would do all we can to accommodate. Unfortunately at this time, there is not. No worries though, we ALWAYS have stuff up our sleeves and Giveaways and/or Contests spark up on our site often throughout the year. 🙂

Seems unfair to have the prizes be U.S only… Why not do a simple iTunes gift card or google play gift card giveaway so we can buy donuts or what not?
First, we’ve done giveaways like that. And we will continue to do them. You’re a new reader around here, so I get it. You’re not familiar with the MANY contests we’ve done in the past. However, doing a simple search on the website for contest will bring up every contest we’ve done…those that were inside the US and out.
Second, every country has a different form of Google Play/iTunes gift card. If i were to purchase one here, in the US, i cannot send that code to anyone outside of the US. Not even Canada. So we’d have to purchase a gift card for whichever country that winner is from. That’s not always doable or easy to do. Especially since we cannot purchase them online.
Third, I’m sure your intentions are good…but remember the money for this or any other giveaway doesn’t come out of your pocket. It comes out of mine. 🙂
You can buy gift cards online on Amazon easily but it doesn’t matter, I don’t enter competitions anyway I was just sticking up for some players outside the U.S.
That’s not always true. Believe me. We’ve tried. You try buying a gift card with an american IP address for Thailand. I’ve had to. To say easily, for something you’ve never had to do isn’t a fair assessment.
I have had to do, not for Thailand but I’ve purchased Italian, American and French iTunes giftcards and I’ve had no problems. That sucks you’ve had those issues, hopefully you can get it sorted in the future 🙂
You guys already had your talk, but the aspect of always getting “money” wasn’t addressed. It’s fun to have different items as the gift instead of “pick it yourself” money as the gift. I’m not saying that I always want socks instead of money for xmas, but I also don’t always want money. That’s not fun at all even if I can use the money to buy a neat new tablet. 🙂 I think Bunny pointed out that they do offer smaller, envelope sized items internationally. It’s just this one with the pants that is a problem.
I only mentioned the gift card because this clothing prize is U.S. Only. I was just wondering why not have a prize set aside Incase the competition winner is an international tsto addict.

Being rude to a site that shows nothing but generosity, provides free information, spends our personal time and our personal money to bring it all to you… doesn’t seem that’s the appropriate way to react, don’t you think? Maybe some kindness and appreciation in return to those that are kind would be better?
But hey, if YOU are willing to personally front the $145 per Winner (at cheapest, other places were 2 or 3 times more) cost to ensure they get to their destination outside the USA, then also ensure they make it there, but if don’t eat the cost and try to find an alternate prize instead…or pay the same cost to try again to get it to them… feel free to pay for that and all the other costs and expenses that go into our giveaways. 🙂

And you’re incensed that they don’t want to have to deal with the frustration and expense of having to mail stuff to a different country?!?!

They’re leggings, not actual pants, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a man wearing leggings (at least, not outside of a costume of some sort). Not saying a man shouldn’t – I believe people should feel free to wear whatever…I’ve seen lots of guys in skirts, just never in leggings.

Thicker than that, but, yes…more like somewhat thicker tights (and usually opaque, unless they’re, say, white, and you’re, say, wearing black underwear).
Sandra is right, think thick, footless tights. The debate as to whether they qualify as pants is ongoing. Some people wear them as pants but a lot of schools have dress codes that a skirt has to be worn over top of them or they’ve just banned them altogether.
Maybe Addicts is awarding people underwear? 😀 hehe
Actually, I have an interesting relationship with leggings….
Up until a couple of years ago, I had never worn a pair of actual leggings in my life. But then I suffered a disability that has left me unable to wear anything that brushes against my left leg…no pants, skirts or dresses. I was left wearing shorts year round (even during our New England winters). However, even though I am able to work at home full-time now, due to my disability (which includes other issues, besides the leg sensitivity), I still need to be able to go into the office for a few hours every now and then for certain meeting and such and be able to attend things like the funerals and such, which require wearing something more dressy than shorts. For those times, I’ve found that leggings are the most bearable things I can wear, because they don’t move around as much on my leg. Even though, technically, leggings aren’t allowed per my consensus company’s dress code, people wear them with some frequency and, opaque black or navy leggings paired with a nice dressy top of sufficient length to ensure that one’s butt is well covered, really don’t stand out in a more formal situation, like work. I still can’t wear them for more than a very few hours before the irritation becomes unbearable, but they’ve made it possible for me to do stuff I might not otherwise be able to do.
(Of course, donut leggings would not work in my attempt to slide by a little dress-code-wise, lol!)

Sorry. I’m looking into options still. Shipping is very very expensive to guarantee it gets there using alternate methods… I won’t give up just yet.
I understand entirely the shipping constraint but as a British Addict I’d love to be able to enter the contest and then donate/award it to one of my American neighbours.
We’ve had others in past send it to mom or dad in states… and let them worry about getting it to them from there.
I just don’t want to risk losing, damaging, or another shipment that never gets to the Winner. That’s just sad. So for larger items like this, I’ve got to stick to USA addresses only for shipments.

True, wouldn’t be the first or second time. I’ve won two contests that were for Americans and A/B/W were kind enough to ship once to my ex-girlfriend in Ohio (at the time, wasn’t my ex) and once to my buddy in Michigan. I then got both prizes from them when I went south to the US.

Maybe you do this Canadian raising thing. It’s not as pronounced (pun intended) as popular culture would have us believe…. Except my take/addition to the very great article is that the ‘u’ in “cut” is a short and a weak vowel, while the ‘a’ in “la” is a bit stronger. When they’re together in a diphthong then usually the stronger vowel wins (and is heard most). In the case of the “how” sound being pronounced a-u (that ‘u’ is a long u sound, like “ooh”) both of those sounds are mostly strong enough to be heard, but if pronounced like u-u (short-long) then that second u is the only part that is really heard. I’d just go ahead and say the short u is in the category of a schwa (ə), which is basically the weakest vowel in English. Therefore I conclude that it’s heard as “aboot” and all that because that second vowel wins and the first vowel is basically not heard at all. (That is, unless you speak with that accent and hear all of the sounds as intended. An American ear wouldn’t pick it up since we’re not expecting that.)
BTW, besides the Canadian pronunciation stereotype I was considering that pronunciation because of the “ou” spelling which I’ve seen used by a Canadian ( 😉 ) to be pronounced as “oooh” (and representing that word, too). So now when I see those letters in a word I think of that pronunciation (eh…probably mostly when Canada is mentioned..)

I really wish I could ship them outside of USA… but it seems customs just doesn’t like me doing so. I had 6 packages return right back and 2 sit in Customs for 3 months then return back. I want to GIVE you prizes, not get them back. Lol.
