Today marks the official 3 year anniversary of when TSTO Addicts was officially launched! We’re completely blown away by the AMAZING community of readers we have here at TSTO Addicts. We absolutely love what we do and really appreciate all of YOU!
Of course we’re no strangers to celebrating an anniversary around here! We celebrated our 1 month anniversary way back when, our 6th month anniversary, our 1 year anniversary, and our 2 year anniversary last year. We’re always celebrating little milestones with each other and we LOVE to share the bigger ones with you guys! After all YOU guys are the heart and soul of this community….and we wouldn’t have it any other way! (plus who doesn’t like a good party?!) So pop the champagne, break out the noise makers and let’s get to celebrating already!
Bunny, Wookiee and I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to our wonderful readers and share our thoughts on Addicts turning 3!
It’s seriously hard to believe we’re celebrating three years today. It really seems like just yesterday this “little blog that could” started as a crazy idea between my childhood friend and I. With no real thoughts that we’d be anything more than a tiny little blog about a silly little game, the past three years have completely blown me away! I’ve said this many times before but when we set out to create the site we wanted to be different. We wanted to do things no one else was doing. We wanted something with more personality. We wanted to laugh.
Now here we stand 3 years later and I think we’re continuing to achieved our goals daily!
And no…I REALLY didn’t think we’d still be doing this three years later.
So much has changed since the blog first started. I got married, had an amazing little girl, purchased our dream house and made some amazing life-long friends!
But honestly, no matter what we do this site would not be what it is today with out you amazing readers! You guys make this place fun, we just supply the music and margaritas! We love each and every one of you for being here and being part of this AMAZING Community! 🙂
We’ve had a blast over the past three years getting to know many of you (our regulars) and seeing new “faces” popup in the comments. And when we get to see you and hang out at the meet and greets (or at baseball games ;)) it’s always a great time! You guys seriously make this place what it is…and have kept us going for the last three years. (Yes even with all the redundant questions in the comments 😉 )
The community is the heart and soul of this place…and we wouldn’t have it any other way! So thank YOU, yes YOU for being a part of this community! Even if you’re just a “lurker”, you still take the time to read what we say day in and day out…and for that we are truly grateful from the bottom of our TSTO filled hearts! 🙂
Of course we’re the “baby” of the TSTO Community. There are several other TSTO blogs out there and we consider them good friends! So we’d like to say a big thank you to:
Everyone over at TSTOTopix.me (new and old). In particular to Mike S and Em. Two of our good friends from way back in the Tapped-Out.co.uk days.
And I’d like to give a shoutout to Feelingblind from TSTO Game. Even though he’s shutdown TSTO Game, we’re still grateful for his friendship and support! 🙂
And of course everyone over at Tapped-Out.co.uk, where it all started! Addicts would not exist with out the awesome site that Tim created over at TOuk.
And, a new addition to my thank yous this year, I want to give a special thanks to Pat, aka Cranky Old Guy. Thanks for working to bury the hatchet over the last year and for the friendship and support. Looking forward to working together!
Of course I’m just 1/3 of this site…and it wouldn’t be nearly as much fun if I didn’t get to write and work everyday with 2 of my best friends! Bunny and Wookiee, I love you both like you’re family and I know our friendship will continue way beyond TSTO and into those days when you’re both living in retirement homes. Don’t worry, I’ll still come visit! 😉

Truly, the thing that has kept me going for all this time is the amazing community and a love of the game and the people who play it. It’s crazy that TSTO has been chugging along for four years and shows no signs of stopping. I started playing because I love The Simpsons but if someone had told me I’d still be diligently tapping after all this time AND writing about the game, I’d have laughed in their face. I’m sure EA will keep this awesomeness going as long as it’s profitable. They should be thanking all of us for supporting their families lol.
I started blogging here shortly before getting out of the military and this site helped keep me sane and gave me something to do while I was figuring out life, the universe, and everything. I sincerely hope that this community is just as valuable for all of you. There is a multitude of gathering places all over the interwebs but (although I’m prejudiced) I like to think this is one of the best. It definitely would not be anything without all of you. I guess it’d just be me shouting into a canyon which could be fun but it’s nice when the echoes are other people shouting back.
It’s been a wild ride and I still can’t believe everything that has happened since I naively took this gig. An engagement, another kiddo in my life, one degree down towards the next, and of course, two sisters from different misters that will be my family with ot without Addicts. Special thanks to Alissa the Amazing and Bunny for all the hilarity, friendship, and for putting up with me. Thank YOU for reading our mad antics. Thank YOU for being a part of this strange 12 step program. As long as wonderful people keep coming here, we’ll be supplying the free funny and game info. Here’s to the next year!

WHOA??!! We are 3 now??!! Sheesh how times flies.Let’s see if we were lil kids we would be no longer at that Terrible Two’s stage and slowly getting to the Throw Tantrums Threes, right? WOOHOO!!! Imagine poor Alissa not only having to deal with Baby Riley, but a GIANT fuzzball and a Furry Bunny running around causing chaos. She wouldn’t mind, right? Oh wait… isn’t that what she has to do anyway? Lol.
So that’s it from the Addicts crew on this special day!
Of course we have our problems, no one is perfect. Like I say to my 3 year old nephew, it’s not easy being 3. But, I made you guys a promise WAYYYYYY back in September of 2013: “My promise to you, our amazing readers, is to ALWAYS provide you with the best content in a fun way.” And now here we stand just about 3 years later, continuing to keep that promise and renewing support to keep going strong!
So here’s to a great year and many more to come!

Congrats on hitting three years! You guys have done a wonderful job of providing great content. There have been times where my interest in TSTO has waned, and it was this site and community that kept me interested in the game. Here’s to many more great years for the Addicts.

It’s a little past twelve-thirty, just returned home from a party /
Where I broke bread and drank beer with friends and took shots of Bacardi /
There were oh so many hotties that were pressing to get naughty /
But more pressing on my mind was my connection that was spotty /
Yeah that’s right I’m talking ‘bout the data bars up on my phone /
I can’t believe it’s been three hours since I left my town alone /
I don’t know if a full day passed since my man Radio has flown /
And I am wondering if the crops on my farm now are fully grown /
But son if none of that made sense to you then you’re missing the best times /
Of your life that involve tappin’ on a screen to complete quest lines /
All the grinding of events while wired on the freshest of grinds /
And designing with your neighbors like a gathering of blessed minds /
Just be wary of that object count when your town has the stress signs /
And your social life when you don’t notice all the half-undressed dimes /
Because if that donut habit starts to cost more than arrest fines /

It’s a little past six-thirty and I’m stumbling outta bed /
I must be acting sorta scary, not unlike the walking dead /
Cuz right away my boys are on me, taking me to the woodshed /
Like it’s Rick Grimes and his whole posse looking out for their homestead /
With battle lost, I’m tapped out on the potty, dropping off the kid /
That’s when I notice tablet battery is dippin in the red /
So I go digging in my nike shorts to get my phone instead /
Cuz ain’t no stopping me from clearing tasks that need to be reset /
Now that I’m washed and fully dressed and wifey gets me so well fed /
I aeropress a cup of coffee before hopping on the web /
Hit up the tapped out addicts website for the Sunday open thread /
But first I catch up with the people that replied to what I said /
Proceed to like a few new comments that align with my mindset /
And then I browse through many other posts that I have not yet read /
By now it’s past time to release the beast that’s coursing through my head /
And spit these tapped out rhymes right at you like a sickness being spread /

It’s ten minutes till four-thirty, just got back from riding bikes /
Down at the beach where we play once a week at least and fly them kites /
Now that the boys are lying down to rest, you know I got my sights /
Set on a little bit of “me time” while I tap in Springfield Heights /
So first things first I do what Otto does when buying water pipes /
And then I set his crafting job along with several other types /
Like coffee, trophies, yoga mats and pills with green and purple sides /
Then get my otto on again and load up all my favorite sites /
Well if you guessed one was the Addicts blog, you got me dead to rights /
I’m in their cyber space so frequently cuz everybody writes /
About a game we play religiously despite the bugs and gripes /
And all the silly things it has us do like waking up at nights /
To the alarms we set so we don’t miss a single daily prize /
Or spending hours on the details till the devil’s in our eyes /
Or tap out till I rap out 16 bars of rhymes to bless you guys /

Hi I’m going make wordbook thingy account
I can’t remember how I found the Addicts site but since I have, I visit almost daily. Alissa, Bunny and Wookiee, you have unintentionally created a global community that come together with the perfect attitude. If this could be cloned, the current conflicts that are impacting our world might never have taken root.
On a brighter note, I feel privileged to be a part of the community and to occasionally make a small contribution so, happy 3rd Blogiversary and looking forward to the 4th.
Hey, Alpine… don’t be such a stranger! If you’re visiting daily, I’d love to see more comments from you….join in the fun. I loved this comment that you just made, so I’d also love to see other thoughts you might have along the way. 🙂
