Should I Spend Donuts On Chinese Junk?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Chinese New Year is nearly upon us and the Simpsons are all about celebrating to earn a clean slate for the new year! So let’s clean house and pile up those donuts because there’s a store full of new Chinese New Year themed premium items just tempting us to spend sprinkles on them!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Chinese Junk to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this floating New Year celebration to your Springfield…

Decoration/Building: Chinese Junk
Donut Price: 75 Dounts
Earns: 2.5% bonus on all cash and XP
Size: 4×10 (water only placement)
Unique: No, buy as many as you’d like
Conform-O-Meter:
 Vanity +200 each

Leaves Stores January 31st, 2017.

Pros
-Unique looking decoration for your ocean
-Bonus % is ok, but not great.

Cons
-Just a decoration, doesn’t do anything.  Just floats in the ocean
-Large footprint for not a lot of open ocean space

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Meh.  I’m not a huge fan of this one.  It’s just a boat…we’ve got a TON of boats for Springfield (several of which were free).  The bonus % isn’t that great for donuts spent.  Personally, I’d pass on this one.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do.  And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m passing.  It just seems like a waste of donuts to me.  Just remember this is limited time , and will be leaving our stores next week. So be sure to make your final decision before they’re gone from our games for good. (or for now..)

What are your thoughts on Chinese Junk?  Will you be picking it up or have you already?  Where have you placed it in your ocean? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I picked it up immediately. I love having a variety of boats and moving them around. I do wish it had some animation. If EA keeps adding items to be placed in the ocean, they should give us another strip of water.

  2. It’s a neat Boat, except EA missed on the opportunity to give it some Character interactions (and that Bonus % should’ve been 5%) 🤔

    Speaking of Chinese—
I just noticed that Sophie Krusty has a BlackedOut 8(?) hour task to:
    Enjoy A Chinese Banquet
I presume this requires the Takeout Box?

  4. A year ago this time I would have said I’m a completest. But lately with all the premium content and big buildings I’m running out of space. I think I will pass on this although I might regret it later.

  5. Well, *whatever* my next bonus enhancement happens to be will finally push me over 400%, and I will admit to a certain amount of built up anticipation for that, symbolically if nothing else… but I’m afraid this just isn’t going to be the purchase that does it. The Junk simply doesn’t excite me.

  6. Need more water space before I buy more boats or decorations , the ocean needs to extend outward. Alot of clutter in my ocean now.
