On kindle hard close kindle. Start again. Open tsto. Keep game open until first 20 min cycle completes. Stay in your Springfield. Keep it active . Do not visit krusty land. Do not visit neighbors. This fixed it permanently for me. Only have a Kindle to check it on though.

The Around the World event hit our pocket-sized Springfields the other day and it’s already causing a world of confusion! What’s the deal with the flights? How long do I have to wait? How do I add more runway pieces? I want a bigger airport!
Well don’t sweat it, we’re here (as always) to break it all down for you step by step, piece by piece until the Osaka Flu slowly takes over Addicts HQ! So let’s get to work breaking it all down….
So after you’ve completed Around the World Part 3 Milhouse’s Uncle Norbert will come flying across your Screen in Springfield…
And he’ll bring you his Adventure tasks on his quest to find the Golden Train..
Basically complete Norbert’s Adventure tasks throughout the entire event to unlock the Golden Train.
Along the way you’ll earn a bunch of bonus event currency (up to 1500 bonus event currency/day) and send a few Springfielders on flights around the world!
A few basics…
What Time Do My Tasks Reset Each Day?
Norbert’s tasks reset at 0800 GMT each day (3am Eastern time US).
How Do I Complete the Task? Where Do I Find the Task?
In the adventure section of your event hub, icon looks like this 
you’ll find your daily clues. Each day a clue will appear in Yellow. You’ll get three clues/day…one at a time.
This clue is Find a Huge Horse from West Asia.
To complete the clue go to your Airport (or hit Do it) and select the character that’s making a trip to a location that best resembles this clue:
This picture was taken when the event first launched, you’re given a batch of free tickets initially (which is why the count is high), to run the first set of flights.
In this case the answer (A huge horse from West Asia) is sending Booberlla to Troy, Turkey. Sending her on that flight (4hr task) will complete that part of the daily task for Norbert.
Should I Send The Other Characters On Tasks as Well?
Yes. As Patric broke down in the Math post you absolutely should send as many characters as you can on flights to earn as much event currency as you can every 4hrs.
What’s the Deal with the Plane Tickets? How Do I Get More? What’s the Max? How Often Do they Appear?
So to send a character on a flight you’ll need 1 plane ticket per character to travel to that location. 
To earn plane tickets you really don’t have to do anything. Your game will automatically accumulate them for you.
You’ll earn 1 plane ticket every 20 minutes (this was changed from 2 minutes today (2/2/17)), with a max of 3 allowed at once.
Once you send a character on a trip, and use one of those 3, your game will automatically start working towards accumulating another ticket.
What’s the Deal with Norbert’s Task in my Task Bar? The Mysterious Globe.
This is a task where at the end you’ll earn a globe
Complete 7 full daily tasks (3/day..) to earn the Globe. And there are more prizes to come!
What Happens When I Complete All Three Tasks? What’s the Lost Luggage?
After you’ve completed all three of Norbert’s Adventure Tasks, you’ll unlock a chance to open the Lost Luggage Mystery Box. Here is where you can earn more Airport parts, runway tiles and even free land!

So I need help understanding real quick. I’m only on task two today starting now for me. Roughly 6pm central time. I will then send a little after 10pm tonight on the third to unlock the black plane. Buuut because I started late on these tasks today I’m afraid I won’t unlock it. Or will I have until tomorrow? Thanks
And if I have to spend the 10 donuts to speed up the second task so I can do the fourth before bed I will but need to k ow where I’m at on his daily task schedule.
It will carry over. The next task will also be there…but since you have 24 hours to do what amounts to 4/4 hour tasks you’ll be golden.

I started getting worried not staying on the full 3 tasks a day. Slept in to late today lol
I didn’t get the globe despite receiving the message to unlock and place the item . I completed the following day as was previously suggested but cannot locate where I was to unlock the globe from. Any suggestions or is it too late now I that we are well into Act2?
Ok, bad coding makes it so that if you send a character before the task is finished his trip won’t count and there will be no more trips to fill it so you get stuck. The trips that are related to Norbert should only become available after you complete the prior OR make it count filling the bar even if it is already underway.
If I’m understanding you correctly, that’s not true… I’ve had my next travel task come up for a destination someone is already in flight to and, when they finished that flight (say, an hour later or something), it absolutely did count towards completing that Norbert travel task.
Any idea if Norbert daily tasks roll over? In other words, if you only complete two parts of a daily in one day, will the third part be available the following day, so you can get “credit” toward the 7 tasks you need toward that prize? (Right at the start of Act III, I’ll be leaving on vacation out of the country, and am only going to have access when I’m on the hotel Wi-Fi first thing in the a.m. and late at night, so at most, I’ll only be able to complete two parts in one day.)
I never saw Norbert fly by in his red plane, and I didn’t receive the golden train. But at the time I didn’t realize that it was a task with clues and randomly started the characters on flights. Do we have to pick the first character to fly based on the clue then? If so I already messed up and does that mean I’ve blown my chances at getting the jet?
Will Norbert’s globe be still be available after Act 1?

I never got the globe I completed the task and it said place the globe but no globe appeared. Is it in my inventory. I have been searching it but so far no luck
I had the same problem. I had a quest to place the globe, found no globe and then the quest disappeared with the start of act 2. I’m assuming I don’t get a globe and I guess my chances of getting the train are gone now too.
Y’know, not sure how possible this is, but sometimes I wish there was a cheat sheet showing what areas solve which riddle lol Sometimes I don’t have time to wait another 20 minutes to take yet another guess because my first three were wrong. Doesn’t matter to me right now because all I’m getting is event currency from Norbert and I’m done the track, but still would be nice to have.
I have a quick cheat since my geography knowledge is terribly lacking (well not a cheat, but a helper). I have Siri on my iPhone, & I just look at the list, omit the obvious, & ask Siri if (for example), Mongolia is in East Asia. I use it to *not * pick the right one so I can send as many characters as possible to get more pins out of each task (especially always using Kumiko). I use the first 3 tickets to pick 3 out of the 5, then go to the Town Hall & find that correct character & send them on a different task. When you go back to the airport to pick your traveler/destination, you have 5 characters again. When you get more tickets, send more characters out. It’s a little tricky at first, you need to make sure you have free characters to fill the empty spots, & make sure you only send 3 of the 5 on flights, but still send the correct character out so all 3 tasks are completed before the day is over. Thank you, I did know of that “cheat”, and at first I found it helpful. Since they switched the reset time to the more appropriate 20 minutes it doesn’t seem to benefit me as much. Thank you though. I do however like the Siri tip…now I need to get me a phone with Siri before this event ends, hope I don’t need more donuts lol

That method still works even if you send a character on the “right” task. The key is to always have at least one or two characters in the queue to fly and at least five or six characters not on a task. As long as you have characters available to fill the slot, if you send a character who’s in queue to fly on another task, the queue will expand to have five characters in it. Since you can only send three characters an hour (after your initial three), you don’t need more than five or six to be available…you can send backup characters on 1-hour, 2-hour, and 3-hour tasks to ensure a steady stream of new available characters to send flying while you await the completion of the “right” flight. You definitely need/want to send characters on the flight that satisfies the specified task, so you can get the bonus currency and the suitcase reward each day.

I’m just wondering how stupid you’d have to be to not know the answer to 99% of these riddles. Over half the time, only one of the choices is on the right continent. They are so easy that my six year old son likes to do them, and gets them right most of the time. I guess the millenial generation is so reliant on technology that they don’t know which continent Mongolia is on.
Wow – while I also have found the clues easy, I don’t think that excuses being insulting and demeaning to another poster here. What’s to be gained by making someone feel bad? And it’s especially surprising that you’d make an insulting response to someone whose post was originally intended to help others. Not cool, dude!

For the past 2 days norberts adventure tasks have dissapeard i havent been able to get anything anyone know how to fix this?
I’ve messed up before & used the employment office to send all. It prevented me from completing the task & I’ve had to redo it once the timer was up Is that a possibility for you? If not, I’d contact EA, especially if you haven’t completed act 1 yet. Good luck 😊

Ugh….wish I’d known that, since it will probably change the design I made for my airport. I guess I should know better than to do any designing before the end of an event, but I just couldn’t resist!
I would really like some tiles that would be a little more “airport friendly”. The pavement is too light & the difference is too much. I do like how Pimp did his, I’m contemplating changing my design, but I want to wait & see how much more runway we get 😊

For those of you that can’t seem to obtain your globe. let me tell you that you aren’t really missing out on anything. I’ve been a long time player, but this decoration is ranks really high in randomness to me. It’s a fairly large decoration and really doesn’t do anything other than take up space and look wierd… jm2c

Not sure if it was just a coincidence but noticed when I sent one of the 2 remaining characters awaiting Springfield airport on a task in Springfield Heights instead, the airport task list refreshed and replaced 2 awaiting characters with 5….. Could be useful to get more event currency. Can anyone confirm this?
Yes, I can confirm that. I’ve been keeping 21 characters flying at once by taking advantage of that. It takes a lot of work, though, and you can’t use the unemployment office if you want to be able to do that.
Guys, stop freaking out about the globe…it said, in the final message box after you complete the suitcase stuff, that it wouldn’t come until tomorrow (or something like that).

I have finished Norberts tasks 3 per day for 7 days and it asks me to place the globe.
Where the heck do I find this mysterious globe? It is not in my inventory cant seem to find bloody globe anywhere?! Wth?!
I’m having the same issue where it tells me to place the globe but I don’t have it. The mystery box only awarded me a piece of runway. Hopefully I’ll get it tomorrow. (That would make it 8 days for me)

How do I unlock the globe after I have got Norbert’s lost luggage for 7 days in a row? The quest now says unlock and place the globe, but when i click to do it, the game just takes me to Norbert’s adventure tasks, which I have already completed all of for the day. (Used some donuts to rush it because I wanted the globe)

Tried everything to find the globe, finished the 3 a day, 7 day tasks, hard close, got Norbert saying unlock and place, and new tasks start in 11 hours, but no globe, do I need to do something else, very frustrating.

It’s the same for me. I completed all 7. It says unlock and place globe, takes me back to the box that looks like when you complete the 3 for the day. I’ve also checked my inventory and the store and no globe.

I thought I had placed runway sections into my inventory. After rearranging my Springfield I opened my inventory to place the runway sections in their new location but they were no where to be found. Evidently,they deleted rather than going into my inventory.

I have to find A teutonic New swan in Western europe. I have sent people to londen(england), amsterdam(netherlands), milan(italy) but it doesn’t activate the quest. now i can only sent people to bangkok, thailand and santiag, chile

Neuschwanstein in Germany if it’s available. It literally means New Swan Stone, it’s the castle Mad King Ludwig bankrupted the country to build.
I only have the options to send three characters on trips…is this another glitch?
How many characters do you have free? If you have at least five or six free, send one of the three who has a flight on a different job. You should find that you now have five people scheduled for flights, once you have the tickets for them.
Is that Señor Ding Dong I see for part 3? It’s so tiny on this phone. Glad they’re throwing in some unlockables from the old character bracket challenge.
They should do a cross section for the runway so that you can have two runways crossing. Piano key sections would also look good, and a windsock.
I’m at the stage where I need Sailor Kumiko to go to the right city. After talking with EA help they said that some tasks require premium characters to complete. It was built that way.
135 donuts are too much for me to spend on something I don’t really want. Guess I’m stuck at 4/7 for ‘Mysterious Globe’ quest.

I’m having issues as well. I will leave the game open until the timer countdowns down to 0. At 0 I get no tickets (can’t even see a ticket count and any available flights I could send characters on are gone.
Anyone else can’t complete Norbert’s task? Airoport just doesn’t offer right answer to the clue.

I’m having that problem with my third task today — the right city never comes up. What did you do to fix it?
I sent one of the character on the flight, then one of the other four I sent on a normal job and in the list appeared new country. Repeat until you see the right city. For me it took about 4-5 times but I don’t know what else to do.
Am I the only one who gets just 4 – 6 tourists a day?
