Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well that didn’t take very long….we’ve got ourselves a fun little in-game update. This particular update is a tie-in for Sunday’s new episode of The Simpsons, “22 for 30″, and will kick off for you in your game automatically (after the download) with some dialogue from Skinner & Milhouse.
This will be followed by 4hr tasks for the kids of Springfield…

Remember this is an in-game update, but you won’t see it unless you’ve downloaded the removal update for Around the World that hit App Stores yesterday. And no, this hasn’t fixed the missing tourists yet…
So this episode tie-in contains a couple of new items, 2 premium 1 free, and loads of returning content from events past. Here’s a look:
New Stuff…
Outdoor Half-Court- Free, unlocks with the questline. 6×7. Animated job for Milhouse there…
7200 Ounce Squishee- 25 Donuts, Earns a .60% bonus on all cash and XP. 1×1 in size. Not very tall, comes up to about the bay window in the Simpsons House in height.
ESBN Sports Desk w/ Anger Watkins- 110 Donuts. Desk is 3×4 in size and earns a 3% bonus on all cash and XP.

After the questline is done Milhouse’s Practice Two-Pointers task AND Milhouse’s Fight Bart tasks will both remain in Milhouse’s task list. BOTH are animated tasks and both are done really well. Very impressed with this two animations.

110 donuts for a Character PLUS a 3% bonus sounds like a good buy
It is…for a new playable character plus a 3% bonus item…I snapped it up immediately.

Always love a new character but the new items are very meh. My sports area is already way bigger than I want.
The springfield YMCA and the coach is also available for purchase again. 120 donuts with a 20 donuts rebate.
Have had the YMCA for a while…love the building, and the coach has a task fiddling (with a violin, you perverts😳) at the Elementary School while he “Bombards!”…it’s really funny.😆

Is there going to be a post in regard to what items became premium with this update? My bonus % went up 6pts. I see that the homerclese statue is now 2%, but not sure about the other 4% yet.
Dead lobster restaurant has a bonus % now.

In my store they show as they’ll earn 200% for each task, when other premium characters often show as they earn 50%. 100 donuts for two characters for 200% of income from their tasks makes me feel like spending premium currency.
On the other hand, I’m new at the game and I still don’t have most of the premium characters who help with the monorail and Springfield heights, and it takes time to earn enough donuts.
It is a good deal…go for it.
I learned that it’s actually only one playable character.

Love this update, love the character-building combo/rebates cuz they’re good value(always love adding more characters to my town and increasing my bonus rate). I find Coach Krupt’s BOMBARDMENT task hilarious even tho it’s a bit cruel to watch him wail a dodgeball point-blank at a kid. Just waiting for the tourist characters to come back so I can buy them.
Guessing many of you already have it, but I’ve got the YMCA in my store with a 20 donut rebate.
I habe a soccer net from previous event, but on the store states 0,50% bonus and mine nothing, hows that? It happened to anyone else???

The free soccer nets from Tapball don’t have the bonus, it’s only the new ones bought with donuts from this event.
It’s because you’re having to spend Donuts on them and the previous event I think we just paid in game cash .

Studio 6 has a new task. It’s something along the lines of report sports and it is 7 days with a payout of around $20000 ish dollars.
It’s so weird, it’s almost like I’ve read that before somewhere.

I was wondering the size of the 7200 ounce squishy. does it look teeny tiny or is it building size?
its 1×1, so very small
If you set it next to the Kwik-E-Mart, it comes up to just above the bottom of the electric meter box on the side.
Considering that 7200 oz is over 56 gallons, it should be the size of a large industrial garbage can…oh well…

Basketball was created in early December 1891 by Canadian Dr. James Naismith, a physical education professor and instructor at YMCA.
The NBA Most Valuable Player award was won in back-to-back seasons (2004-05 and 2005-06) by Canadian Steve Nash.
The first overall NBA draft picks in 2013 and 2014 were both Canadians (Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins).

It was invented in SPRINGFIELD Massachusetts. I actually live 10 min. From the Basketball Hall of Fame. Naismith was a proffesor at Springfield College.
I never said it wasn’t created in the US. I just said it was invented by a Canadian.
There’s even a Heritage Minute about it. Those peach baskets are burned into this Canadian girl’s brain.

Naismith was born in Canada and trained in Montreal before moving to Springfield in 1891, where he invented basketball. I think that’s what Safi was saying. He didn’t say it was invented in Canada.
Canada once had two professional basketball teams. One of them was so bad on the court and unsuccessful off it, they had to move to the US.
We also once had two baseball teams. Canada seems to struggle greatly with non hockey things that aren’t (depending on the market anyway *eyes Ottawa*) the CFL.
Of course the weak dollar also typically plays a role in relocations across the border in franchises in any sport. That’s why the original Winnipeg Jets and the Nordiques went south, then there’s the two former Atlanta based teams playing in Calgary and Winnipeg respectively, and that’s just just NHL hockey.
Let’s not forget travel/distance to next closest team in the league makes west coast teams problematic at times, too. The PNW lost both NBA teams.
That’s a West coast thing. Just ask the Seattle Supersonics. 🙂

My conform-o-meter has increased by 4.5% from this update because the Homer clease statue from Tapball has 2% and Dead Lobster (D L) from Superheroes 2 has 2.5%, isn’t D L a building? I think this might be the first building to have a multiplier. :O

A bonus was added to the Homerclese Statue (2%) and The Dead Lobster (2.5%). 😍
Channel 6 has a new 7 day task too. “Channel 6 Sports Week”, earns $19800 and 1980 XP. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what it cost to set the task…..

Is anyone else missing Patches and Poor Violet in their game? I checked my town hall and inventory. They are showing for sale in the store, but I had them for a long time.
They’re there for me… I just sent them on one of the jobs.
If they’re showing in your store to buy, then EA is showing that you never had them… I would contact EA
If they were in your inventory, you wouldn’t see them in the store. You will probably have to contact EA to get them back…sorry, may the force be with you….
