Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well that didn’t take long, now did it? We’ve got ourselves an in-game update on our hands! An all new mini-event has found it’s way into our pocket-sized Springfields!
The Pin-Pals are back and better than ever!
More details as I work my way through (that’s way I get for attempting to work lol)..but for now know that you’ll need Burns, Homer, Moe & Apu free for a series of 6second tasks to launch the mini event.
Back with more in a bit…. (and I can’t help but wonder…bowling, will the “French Fop” come into play?)
Details below the fold…
First, because I know if I don’t put it here we’ll get a bunch of comments from people asking if we saw this, so everyone is aware…
He unlocks via the questline, see below
Also, the following skins are available. If you already have Pin Pal Apu from Tap Ball he applies here…
Ok, now let’s get into the details…
As mentioned above, you’ll initially be triggered to complete a 6s task for Burns, followed by 6s tasks for Burns, Homer, Apu & Moe. Once you’ve completed those two parts you’ll launch the event itself…
Take note that the Pin Pals Mini Event ENDS May 23rd…
So like all mini events, simply follow the main prize track questline to unlock all of the available prizes. What are those prizes?
Pin Pals Bowling Alley- 8
Pin Pals Bowling Lane- 26
Pin Pals Claw Machine- 30
Pin Pal Homer (costume for Homer)- 36
Pin Pals Bowling Trophy- 40
As you can see the currency is… bowling shoes! The goals are low compared to some recent mini events, but that’s because you only earn 1 or 2 per task completed (3hrs). 1 for freemium characters and 2 for premium characters.
Now onto the stuff available in the stores…
Freemium (and returning)
Laramie Vending Machine- $3,500
Premium
Pin Pals Bundle- 100 Donuts. Skins for Mr. Burns and Moe. They each earn 2 shoes each task
Nick’s Bowling Shop Bundle- 70 Donuts. Includes two different Nick’s Bowling Shops and they act as “teleporters” to go across Springfield.
Fiesta Terrace and Jacques- 150 Donuts. Fiesta Terrace earns a 4% bonus on all cash and XP as well as $175, 18xp/6hrs. Will NOT unlock in the store until you’ve completed Part 1 of the Pin Pals questline (basically not until you’ve unlocked the Pin Pals Bowling Alley)
Bowling Lane- 25 Donuts Once you’ve unlocked the first one during the questline more will appear for purchase.
Returning
Rolling Rock- 80 Donuts with a 30 Donut rebate, NET 50 donuts.
Alley McBalls- 50 donuts with a 25 donut rebate, NET 25 donuts.
The Gridiron- 40 donuts with a 20 donut rebate, NET 20 donuts
Barney’s Bowlarama (and Barney) -250 Donuts with a 90 donut rebate, NET 160 Donuts.
If I missed any returning ones please let me know. According to the files Shorty’s may now be offered with a rebate, but I can’t verify this as I have it in my main games & my low level games are too low of a level to find out.
I know y’all are looking for Jacques, he’s currently not available (at least as of Pin Pals Pt. 1) but he is part of this update. It looks like he will be part of a premium building combo, at the moment it looks like 150 donuts, but EA could change their mind on that cost.
I’ll pay through the update later tonight as I write up the Turbo Tappin’ and let you know if he pops up for purchase later in the questline.
For now, that’s it my friends! All of the details for the Pin Pals update. A couple of new items, a bunch of returning discounted items and just under 2 weeks to complete it all. Just enough time to keep you entertained in TSTO, but not over loaded with a major event. So relax and have fun!

I think it’s a bug, but unlike the PolyVac, continued use of the Surveillance Post adds more and more trash cans well past the 2000 mark. I’m up over 2800 now, so I’ll be sitting REALLY pretty when next Tuesday’s rail yard opens up for business.
I don’t know whether I like that….sometimes I like to use the garbage collection tasks to hold out certain characters (like Homer) when I’m sending everyone on the next round of 4-hour tasks. I’ll have to see how it goes and whether the positive from that outweighs the negative.
No rest for the weary tapper. After three weeks of mindless grinding, we perhaps thought that we’d catch a breather and catch up on some of the quest lines we put on the back burner during the event. We were wrong.
Now, I have been with the game since the very early days, and I can remember long stretches of nothing to do in the game. People complained and EA listened and so, the game is now, for better or worse, event driven, quest lines for those still leveling up be damned.

Well the good thing about these mini events is that they are really short and I end up finishing them about a week before they expire. Unlikely we will see anything more before May 23rd so you’ll definitely have some rest time.
I wanted a couple of days to reorganize, but whatever. Thanks for the update! Looks like it should be pretty easy.
I play on a Kindle, and I don’t have the update yet, anyone else in the same boat or is it just me? Everyone is free.

Dang – I’ve wanted Barney for…ever, but the last event took most of my donuts. Oh, well…
I purchased thier bowling outfits and it took my donuts and disappeared from the store. I checked my inventory and not their. I checked their skins and it wasn’t there either. With their current jobs it offers me the deal again and when I click on it I go back to the store where it has disappeared from again. Anyone else missing thier skins after purcahing them?
Guess no one else had this problem or I’m the only one who bought them.
It happened to me too. I don’t know why. The two outfits disappeared from my store and inventory.
This is way too soon. Give us a chance to complete character quests we picked up from new characters. Let us play around with the new materials in our Springfields. Thank goodness it’s a mini-event. If it were another 3 act slog, I might have tapped out for good.
This is pretty much the new formula. Major event ends next day mini event (or episode tie-in) hits. 2-3 weeks later major event again
So for the most part I’m still a long ways from getting most premium items. I’ve only got 58 donuts. My question is have premium items come back in various mini events, or full blown events? For example, I’d like to be able to get the Burns and Moe pen pals item. Just for completeness, but I doubt I can earn enough donuts before the time expires. I also refuse to spend my own money.
Are you asking if a premium it has ever come back as an event prize? Not that I ever recall. Usually, it’s the reverse… something you could earn for “free” comes back as a premium item for donuts.
Poop, I just sent the gang off to collect intel thinking I could squeeze in one more round of bonuts today. If I force the update now, do those characters get sprung from their task, or do they stay in there for another 3 1/2 hours collecting something else (or nothing)?
And Barney ain’t included as a playable character earning in this update 🙁
I purchased the pin pal outfits for both Mr. Burns and Moe, and 2 seconds later both outfits were gone. Completely missing from the store or my inventory. Did this happen to anybody?
Been waiting forever for Barney to go on sale and for Jacques to appear! I hope he’s not too expensive

Gah! Whyyyyyyyyy?!? Moments before this update hit I JUST sent Camera Hat Homer on the “Seek Safety” task which takes 24 hours in the Simpsons House, so the only way I can start this Pinsetter mini-event is to spend donuts to cancel the 24-hour task. Grr..
I sent everyone on a 24 hour task early early this morning. Ah well just start up tomorrow.
You can try storing the buildings they’re in (unless it’s the Simpson’s house, then you’re out of luck)…I had everyone in Stonecutter’s garb, so I only had to store the temple to free everybody up…yipeee!
Unless justI collected from the Stonecutters temple, I try never to store that, because it takes freeways to “ripen” and that’s a clock I don’t want to restart!
Bowlorama disappeared from my store. Anyone else having this issue with the event update? If it’s on sale I’d love to buy it, but I can’t find it at the moment lol.
Available for 250 donuts with a 90 donut rebate in my son’s game once I got past the initial event startup tasks.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bowl-a-Rama on sale!!!!! I was just 20 sprinkles shy of buying it so I bought a lotto ticket to be able to snatch it up and not miss it. I’ve been saving for the entire last event and was such a good kid and didn’t spend sprinkles on anything for soooooooo long!!!!!!! I can’t believe you get 90 donuts back. That’s insane!!!
