Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread!  So, let’s get the conversation going!  Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long.  This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING.  Just no Add me requests…those should go here.  We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

So, here is your Open Thread…..

First of all, it’s Mother’s Day here in the US, Canada and a few other countries…so Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there!  Hope you have a great day full of brunch, mimosas and lots of peace and quiet! (or at least one of those 3! lol

No new Simpsons this week, but we did have an all new edition of Addicts Live.  Did you check it out?  We broke down the newest event, the two latest episodes of The Simpsons and had some fun talking about Mothers.

Out with the old, in with the new…as the Secret Agents Event came to a close last week and the Pin Pals Mini Event started up.  What are your thoughts on the new mini event?

How was the rest of your weekend?  Do anything fun and exciting?

So chat about the Simpsons, TSTO, Update fun, or anything else you can think of!  Can’t wait to chat with you all, you know we love hearing from you!

    Happy Sunday to all and Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers😇 in our “silly li’l group”🙃.
    Just finished up the mini-event (wish all the events were like this, short and sweet…hint, hint EA…maybe every 3 weeks or so?) and I have Homer and Apu bowling at the Squidport Fun Zone. I really love the outdoor lanes, they are the perfect addition to the Arcade and the Claw game will keep Otto occupied for quite a while. Good fun all around!

      Hello new neighbourino! Your town is beautiful, I love the surround you’ve made for Homer’s underwater home, so inventive. Your squidport is lovely too. Where did you get all your treasure chests from? I don’t remember them. I look forward to visiting you daily 😊

        I’ve totally redone 🦑Port in the last month or so, was kinda boring before and I really wanted an Arcade area for the kids. I think🤔the chests are from Stonecutters, but I wouldn’t swear to it…it’s been a couple years. Anyway…nice to have a new neighbor, thanks again for the invite😁.

    It’s weird seeing mentions of Mother’s Day today – I live near London and we had it in March.

    It wasn’t too bad a weekend for me – Swansea avoided being relegated from the Premier League and Eurovision last night wasn’t bad.

    I have gone from panic to delight this morning because of syncing. Saturday I activated the collider with a free X5 24hr from a daily mission and spent 2,5 millions of cash to gain 25-30 donuts.

    This morning instead of using my computer that I used the day before I used my tablet. my complete progress for a day was erased. I switch back to the computer and my progress was erased except for the donuts I gained. The cash and the free activation of the x5 for 24hr was still in my inventory. I lost a day of the event but still have everything I need to gain a bunch of donuts next saturday :-p

    Hey guys just telling you the Easter egg that’s in the event. The Easter egg is if you put Homer on the bowling task (20hr) not sure if it is with skin or plain Homer since I’m still doing the event. You will get the 300 perfect ballon (haven’t tried this out but read it somewhere) sorry if this doesnt work as I haven’t tried it

      Hi- YES, I got the Barney deal… but I only had half the sprinkles so BOUGHT the 132 $9.99 deal… to cover the initial 250 purchase… but got the rebate back… it was worth it! Love him! I love these donut deals!!!

    Non TSTO – graduations and funeral activities Saturday until Monday evening. We will have to do a makeup Mother’s Day next weekend.

    Tsto – glad we are on a mini event bc I’m only logging in twice daily max this weekend. Trying to save up donuts for next event whatever it may be. Hope everyone else’s mothers day weekend is going great 🙂

    Does anyone know yet what you can win with the claw game once the event is over? I just got to the end and was wondering. First time I used it it said I missed. Now I have 6 hours to try again.

    Almost daily, the game wants to update, and every time it does, it signs me out and reinstalls itself from the very first update. Usually takes at least 5-10 mins to reinstall everything. Very very very annoying. Anyone else having this problem?

      It is usually the result of not having enough memory left on your device. Are you playing on a phone that is full of photos and music files? That’s what happened to me.

    Did I miss the post regarding what prizesvate available in the Claw Machine?
    So far my prizes are worth more than the cost.

    I’m having another farming day today, I have spent 45 million + earnings today and I just passed 500 donuts, I have 13 hours left of XP multiplier remaining but some of it is nighttime. I also only have earnings left to spend now.

    Afternoon all! Done a little design for my pin pals building was going to place it up for all to see but can’t remember how to do it… sorry!

    I’ve created a bowling district following this mini-event.
    I completely stole an idea I saw on the flickr account for a bowling alley extension to pin pals.
    The appearance being that of a section of wall / roof cut out and we are seeing inside the alley. 👍🏻

    I’m tempted, with the one free small square of map I have left, to create a mini-game area, where the non tap to clear activities can be grouped to ensure I maximise chances for them to get premium items etc.
    I had made a full list of this a while back, along with “what can be placed on squidport” but did not keep or update this.

    Things like:
    Springfield Downs
    Launch Pad
    Chinese wall
    Globex corporation
    Poly-Vac
    Etc etc
    And now, the mini claw game and drone scan.

    I bought Jacques today. I must say it’s a great deal. A premium character a building and a good bonus % increase. Well worth 150 doughnuts. I love how the building has this old school look to it since that episode was a long time ago. There’s something kind of cool about that mustard yellow colored building that takes me back when The Simpsons animations were not as glossy as they are now in recent seasons. Great work by EA.

    We have had some more rain this week but it was very light – not bad for the garden but not making much of a dent in dam levels etc. Also the 1st proper cold front of the year has come though so temperatures were around 14/15° C (57-59°F) this weekend? Took it as a sign to stay in bed and watch the Paris Sevens Rugby! Although that is not nearly as cold as in other parts of the world, our houses are designed more to keep cool in summer than to be warm in winter. No double glazing etc and the house I live in was built in the 1840s so no insulation. Still I’m enjoying the cold as I’m a huge fan of hibernating! 😃

    Enjoyed the Pin Pals mini event – I earned the last prize last night so now just finishing off the quest lines and will then use the rest of the event to work through some of the quest lines that I didn’t get round to during the previous event – Homer is going to be very busy!

    Also used this time to clear some neighbour who hadn’t been active for four weeks and added some new ones! Hi new neighbours 😄😄😄 I still have one pending invite but as I only boot neighbours if they don’t play for four weeks I’m still waiting to see if anyone else goes awol…

    Finally, to all mothers, single parents of either gender, those with furry/feathered/scaly children and anyone else I may not have covered: Happy Mother’s Day – hope you had/have a good one!

    Anyway, enjoy the rest of Pin Pals event and have a great week!

    Now it’s time for some more 7s rugby to see whether we can beat Scotland in the final in Paris! Congrats to the boys on winning the series – go South Africa! 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
    And after that it’s time for a bath…

      We finally got rain yesterday in a big way! 3.5 inches…yipee!
      Hoping that this is the end of our drought here, will keep my fingers crossed.
      Seems like clearing neighbors is an ongoing thing lately…have had three more drop out in the last month…still hoping they will return.

      Had to laugh about your idea of a “cold front” – 14-15°C would be a mild summer’s day round here. Ok, ok, so maybe a cold summer’s day; a warm day would be in the low twenties, and “unbearably hot” in the high twenties or even – shock! horror! – around 30°C. That’s when people start to keel over in droves…

        Do not worry, we laugh at it ourselves! Freezing cold for us is if the minimum temp goes down to 0°. When that is forecast you put every blanket in the house on your bed so you don’t risk freezing to death!

        We also joke about the UK like that: summer (3 days over 25°C) or a drought (a week without rain).

        A couple of years ago I was in Whistler, Canada over December and came home to tell everyone the horror stories of being outside in -10/-14°C. Everyone here was amazed that I survived such ‘harsh’ conditions without frostbite! Didn’t want to believe me when I told them there were places that were much colder than that!

    Non-TSTO comment:
    Softball season started this past Monday. We lost our first game 13-11. I went 2-for-4 with 2 singles, a run, and 2 RBIs at the plate. Left 4 on base with a deep fly out and a strike out my first at bat. But where I really shined was defensively at 1st base. My infielders were quite rusty and couldn’t make a good throw at all. Yet they got 0 errors as I personally saved 5 errors with two picks, a scoop, a catch up the baseline with a swinging arm behind the back tag, and a full 7-foot extension, diving, toe on the bag put out. Really looking forward to the next sixteen Monday nights.

    TSTO comment:
    Another Bracket Battle character joins the fold. This time it’s Jacques. While I desired nobody as much as Gary, Doug, and Benjamin; Jacque was pretty high on my list. He was an insta-buy. Loving him!!!
    I had to pass on the Moe and Mr. Burns Pin Pal skins. I really like the skins, but I only use the Monty Moneyvest skin (or whatever it’s called that earns 2.5x) for Mr. Burns and have other premium options for Moe.
