Secret Agents 2017 and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

So I’m a little behind with this one, as the Secret Agents Event left our games a couple of weeks ago.  But, now is still a great time to look back at how all of the items added for this event impact our Conform-O-Meters.  Especially since this event brought LOADS of items to Springfield…

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

While the Secret Agents event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring a bunch of buildings and decorations.  So let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:

  1. I normally don’t bother to read the Conform-o-Meter posts anymore, since I’m way past worrying about getting my five stars, but I thought I’d check in, because I’d love to someday be able to store away all those training walls. But, alas! A gazillion new items and not one of them offers Righteousness points. What’s up with that?!?

  2. Even I have felt the burn occasionally – and just put folks on an 8 hour task. I still play!

  3. I’m hoping this Tuesday we’ll get the next event. A clown college event? Who knows…….Did I spell College properly?…….I doubt that I did.

    • Josephine Kick@$$

Im hoping no new EAvent (yes, misspelled purposely), until the following week. I’m also hoping I don’t miss the Stanley Cup final 🙄

  4. I enjoyed the event’s interesting characters and the spy decorations. The Phase 1 challenge was good and it worked for TSTO since I bought a character to help out in the next round. I respect the previous comment about the time commitment and repetiveness. TSTO replaced FarmVille for me, about a year ago for the same reasons. I like how the TSTO characters somehow keep popping up in the old Simpsons shows my son watches. Pokémon Go is the other game I play. I would enjoy a mini game of Peekemon Get in the future.

  5. While it pains me to say this, the Secret Agent Event has led me to finally give up on this Silly Little Game. Without going into too much detail, past events have been incredibly lackluster. Having had so much potential with the International Event, Casino, and now Secret Agents (to name a few), the writing has been sloppy and confusing, the “prizes” have been completely unrelated, (Painless Dentistry in a Secret Agents event?) and it’s become nessecary to “tap” almost all day, every day in order to do anything at all.
I was actually interested when the Pin Pals mini-event began, but alas. More of the same.
Unless something a little more entertaining were to happen, I’m done. I’m also done ranting, thanks for listening!

    • The good news about addicts? Your opinion matters. To your mouth to EA’s ears… maybe.

    • Just out of curiosity, why do you play this game?. Some play to create designs, and thus events are ways to to get more “legos”. Others might play for the story line or adventure. Others my play for the love of the show and enjoy being reminded of it. Others just might be addicted to tapping and enjoying the gambling like emotional surge of winning when getting bonuts, special prizes.

      • It is a good question…but everyone has their methods and reasons to play. Burn out is a real thing…but this community will endure through it all.

    • I actually enjoyed the Casino and International events, personally, but I don’t focus on the writing so much as I do the prizes and culture the events bring to my personal Springfield. However, I agree that the Secret Agents event was the worst event since Tapball. I was crazy excited when it dropped and then…it was just awful, awful, awful. I can’t tell you what the point of this event was. Something with Homer and Hank? I too found many of the prizes to be questionable (like the dentistry, agreed) although I do like the work put into the animations (the secret agents hidden in the trees that move around and the parachute drop are a riot). But there was no sense of movement, wonder, or “haste.” The entire event felt sluggish. EA and TSTO may be running its course…I hope not, and I’ll still keep tapping, but lets all hope the next event has a bit more depth.
